Was here on Thursday 17/10/2024. I ordered food and drinks, my friends food came and he ate his, my food did not come. When I questioned it I was told I hadn't ordered!!! Yet I was still charged £12.53? My friends food was £5.49, Drinks Ruddles 0.99p (on offer for beer festival) and Doombar I think about £2.87 = £9.35, where did the other £3.18 go? Admittedly not the cost of a meal but where? Think I was robbed, so just be wary of staff and check cost of what your buying and if using cash check your change!

Very conveniently located at the corner of the rail station. Had Mushroom Benedict and traditional breakfast with refillable hot chocolate. Nicely prepared and quite tasty but not salty or oily. That’s good. The menu is mostly standard across all the locations. What I like is the choice of the sizes. Big to medium to light. Cost is very affordable. Good choice if you want a reasonably priced hot meal and nothing fancy.

A great weeks holiday in Albufeira came to end ,we flew back from Faro Airport to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, weather couldn't be more different, Albufeira it was 30 plus degrees Celsius and in Liverpool it was a cold, rainy October night ,we jumped the bus into Liverpool City Centre from J.L A and headed to The North Western Pub which lifted our spirits, warm and inviting ,this pub is classy ,set over two floors, a cool looking serving bar, wonderful decor and furnishings, vintage travel posters adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and all housed in a great looking building, its probably the best Wetherspoon pub in Liverpool. We grabbed an alcove table were we ordered a buttermilk burger with chips ,part of the burger deal entitled us to a drink,we chose bottles of Birra Moretti beer ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, while enjoying our fine Italian beers our burger meal arrived and what a treat. Burger was super, a lean piece of chicken covered in breadcrumbs, chips were thick cut and plentiful, just a totally delicious burger meal indeed and washed down with a great beer. After our meal and beers we then tried a couple of pints each of real ale which were totally delicious and was the perfect end to our visit to The North Western Pub. We really enjoyed our meal and beers here before we moved on,can't wait to go again next time we're in Liverpool City Centre. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 6am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Lime Street.

Just love this bar.. A window seat is a must, it gives a great view of St. George's Hall, a grade 1 neoclassical building. The bar is generally very busy with travellers using Lime Street station, but the service is quite fast served by pleasant staff. The interior has a train theme and is quite comfortable. I give this a one star for service, as I found the staff to be basically dishonest, rude and down right argumentative over something one of them got wrong. Wow what a disastrous experience. Had a fab weekend for my daughters hen party and called here before heading home. Ordered face to face with a bar person. American style pancakes with the berries, came without. Already paid for the meals, pancakes just came with syrup asked for the berries and was told WE ordered wrong and had to pay 69p yep 69p for the berries as WE had ordered wrong. I asked that they provided the berries as it wasn’t our mistake. Well, a young lad argued and basically said we wouldn’t get our order without paying the 69p. Even the female manager said where do we think the 69p would come from if we didn’t pay. My daughter in law (who ordered them) had a refund and they refunded the correct amount for the American pancakes with berries which we apparently hadn’t ordered, work that one out Mr Wetherspoon 🤣😳 one of the staff even put on a body cam yep a body cam what a joke over berries !!!!!! Such a shame to end the weekend on. Then I left my phone in the loo had to return for it and thankfully there was a very honest person who handed my phone to the staff. So thanks whoever ever that kind person was, because the Staff need to take a leaf out of your book 😳

We were here on a Wednesday early afternoon, we ordered pale ale's from Oakham Brewery, these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a well balanced, well crafted pale ale, hints of citrus, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic British pale ale served in a classic British pub, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with ale's served in this good a condition. We visited this pub for both breakfast and dinner on 7th June whilst on a day trip to Liverpool. It is very convenient for Lime Street Railway Station so was a great place to start and end our day. The North Western has a nice relaxed air about it compared to many city centre pubs. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. Being a Friday, it was busy when we went for an early dinner with people having post-works drinks, but we still managed to get a table with no problem. We always head for Wetherspoons when visiting a new town or city to try it out and I invariably have fish and chips if dining there. The ones I had here were the best I have eaten at any Wetherspoons so far across the UK.

I do like Spoons pubs generally. This one is extra special as its a grade 2 listed building and EX Hotel. It is packed with grand designs and architectural features and its probably the largest spoons in Liverpool. It can be very busy particularly on weekend afternoons as its a convenient stop by Lime street station but the service is normally pretty good and the staff are friendly. If you want foods its probably average but food prices are pretty good. I like the wide selection of cask ales and international beers. Prices are higher than smaller Spoons but it is city centre and the cask ales are good value.

Directly accessible from Lime Street Station within the same building as the adjacent Radisson Red hotel and within spitting distance of the Liverpool Empire Theatre, it's an ideal and convenient drinking hole. The North Western is a Wetherspoon's pub on Lime street that offers a fantastic range of well priced food and drink's as all of the Wetherspoon pubs offer and was a superb pub to have a meal and a few drinks. This is a superb Wetherspoon pub and one we've been to many times since it first opened up a couple of years ago. Housed in a superb grade-II listed building that was formerly a hotel which was built in 1871 by the London and North Western who were a railway company that finally closed in the 1930s and remained empty until 1996 when the upper floors were converted into hall's of residence and on the ground floor a pub. Now a superb Wetherspoon pub that is me and my twin's favourite Wetherspoons pub in the whole of Liverpool. There are superb fixtures and features throughout this whole Wetherspoon pub and the money that they spent in here must have been huge. This Wetherspoon pub has a great interior with many interesting items relating to train travel and its former use as a hotel. With an excellent multi-roomed interior with a great upstairs area with a terrace'its a joy to visit for a few drinks or a tasty meal. We visited here on a thursday after we had been to a couple of pubs on Dale street. As we hadn't had anything to eat we decided to have a curry meal as it was curry night. It took us a few minute's to order as it was so busy but worth the wait. When here we had a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Vindaloo Curry which were fantastic and we also had a few bottle's of beer that where part of the deal. The meal and drinks that we had were very good and well were priced. This is a superb Wetherspoons pub in an excellent area and easy to find as its by Lime Street train station. Standard ‘spoons - not particularly busy, ordered from the app, drinks arrived about 5 mins later & food within half an hour. Fish & chips with mushy peas (very green, very runny) & a Chicken Salad with a pint of Doom Bar & a large Pepsi came to £25

Came here for a meal with the in-laws, no low tonic water, currently having to carry my other half around in a wheelbarrow. Also, what is a BBQ stack? I'm sorry, I want food, not childrena building blocks. Out of 10, maybe a 7? Life is hard. Also doom bar needs less head, more neck is anything, big up my man Jason on the bar, jokes banter laaaaaaaaaa #wasprettygoodallthingsconsidering

You get what you pay for with Witherspoons. However, there were plenty of staff, no queues despite being so busy, food arrived within minutes of order so why not wipe the tables?

Central location for all transport . Drinks very cheap in fact more than 30% cheaper than nearby pubs. Found the app useful as you can order from your seat . Food not so great - steak almost inedible .

Lovely staff, good service. Unfortunately the football fans who treated the place like a football stadium shouting and chanting without being told off led to my son with ASD having a meltdown so we had to leave for his wellbeing without finishing our drinks and food.

Very busy and popular due to the location with access from Lime Street Train station. Fresh value drinks and food was better than other wetherspoons visited before, I had the small plates deal for reference.

It's a Wetherspoon pub. Let's not expect any surprises. You know what you're coming for. In my case, an easy quick reliable meal. If you can have nice surroundings as well it's a bonus. And it certainly was for this pub, with a fine view out towards St George's Hall and the Christmas Markets. Good atmosphere also, with people having a drink before nipping off for their trains next door at Lime Street. Had the chilli con carne which was as nice as always. Solid.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into The North Western Pub and what a great time we had. A great looking pub, interior is superb, set over two floors, typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside on their upstairs outside terrace, its just a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday night, pub was packed with a great atmosphere, we luckily managed to get a table were we ordered a curry meal,we opted for a chicken tikka masala, with this meal we were entitled to a beer, we opted for bottles of Birra Moretti, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. While sipping our beers our meals arrived and what a treat, chicken was lean ,sauce was spicy, rice lovely, poppadoms crispy and naam bread fresh ,coupled with our delicious beers made for a great dining experience in a cool Wetherspoon pub. We really enjoyed our meals and beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The North Western Pub is easy to locate along Lime Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 6am till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Beautiful building, okay staff but the food and drinks quality and prices are awful!! Cocktails were very overpriced, not the normal/proper ingredients, tasted like a glas of orange Fanta and cost £9.50 each!! 😲. We had to buy a shot each to make them taste a tad alcoholic and that cost us a further £10!! I will never enter another Witherspoons (typo intended!!) again in my life!

Called in for a quick meal with my wife and son in October 2023, before heading to the Empire which is helpfully next door! It was extremely busy and we got the only free table. Despite this the table was wiped down and the crockery/ glasses from the previous diners was cleared quickly, by a member of the team who was clearly very bust but made time for a smile. We ordered on the app which was very easy and the food arrived very quickly. Menu was as you’d expect from a Wetherspoons, and I went for the ‘three plates for £14.93’ offer – two pizzas and a chips – and each was good in terms of size and flavour. Would recommend, and would visit again if needed a quick bite.

Arrived at about 15.45. Easily found a small table. After testing a beer, I partook online a couple of pints. Pub was lively. The table was clean and when I ordered some food it is promptly brought to me, as was my 2nd beer. This is a Wetherspoons, unlike some other reviews that expect the staff to bow and scrape to them, just go to the bar or use the app to order what you want! The staff I observed were rarely stationary!

Dass kein leeres Geschirr abgeräumt wird und die Tische nur sporadisch geputzt werden, ist in den Wetherspoons leider üblich. Personal aber sehr freundlich. Frühstück aber top und sein Geld wert!

It was the first gay bar I have visited in Liverpool 12 years ago. After a 5 year gap, yesterday I was lucky enough to visit here again… same style, literally everything is absolutely the same. The only change is the people who are visiting, and some of the bar members. I found the staff the same: nice and welcoming! Still low prices, and the same happy hour drinks/ cheap shots.. I really enjoyed every minute of my stay last night. Hope, life takes me back soon again 😇
