We ordered 3 mixed kebab starters 😡 we got 1 bag of shredded lettuce and two slices of lemon 🍋 twi green sauces and one red,with three mixed kebabs we should of got three of everying 😡 we ordered a chicken Balti all of our food was near look warm very disappointed as we have eaten many a meal in the restaurant and it has been lovely. The worst mixed kebab I have ever in 40 year of marriage had delivered to us we'll never order in from here again 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Awful, was served raw chicken in my chicken tikka masala, will not be returning anytime soon. So disappointed, last time I was here food was lovely, half the order was missing.

VERY bad experience. Usually I am a regular at the Ruhi since moving to the wirral a year ago. I regularly eat in and often order delivery. The last few times I have ordered the food has been terrible (thought I’d give it one more go today as I was craving a nice spicy curry) but today was beyond bad. I ordered a madras and asked for it to be extra hot. It arrived a weird colour, extra watery yet had a bed of il sat on the top and extremely bland. More like a watery korma than anything. The chicken tikka masala had huge chunks of coconut in and it wasn’t smooth at all. Worst massla I’ve had I think. Ordered a peshwari nan and half of the nan wasn’t even in the bag. Very strange. Also ordered a salad and only received lettuce. The delivery guy arrived and had my at my door for over 5 minutes telling me to order from the wirral tandoori in future as apparently it is there sister restaurant and I have to order from there in future - all whilst my food was getting cold at the door. He also had all white gunky saliva round his mouth and lips which is not what you want to see from a person delivering food you are about to eat. Put me right off ! Safe to say I won’t be ordering or eating in again. Bad bad BAD experience !

Man with glasses, bald ,and while your eating popadoms he wouldn’t stop coming over every 2 mins ,asking if we are ready to order.Non stop asking if we are ready to order constantly rushing every time we come . Other than that amazing come here all the time, food is gorgeous 😁😁😁

Have been coming here for years, one of my favourite places for date night. Food is always cooked perfectly, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Extra mention to service staff Maz, he is always the one to go above and beyond, always going the extra mile! Makes the evening that much more enjoyable.

I’ve been here lots of times over the years in large an small groups,the food is excellent,never been disappointed,staff are always polite even on busy nights when they are run off there feet as this is a extremely popular Balti house,an another plus is you can bring your own alcohol,makes the cost of the bill not bad at all 🥰

We have been going to this restaurant for years and never had a complaint, but went last night and we were so disappointed. The poppadoms tasted stale, my husband ordered the Rhui delight, and when it came the consistency was like slop and had no fruity flavour at all. It's was supposed to be chicken, but it tasted to what I can only describe as chemically. No way was it chicken and it certainly wasn't fresh. We had a mouthful each and decided to leave the rest. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will never go there again. Its a shame as we always liked it there

Unfortunately parking is limited, but the service and the food are worth it. We had a lovely evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going again.

Dreadful, as in truly awful. We ordered a takeaway. Delivery took two hours which I can forgive. However the “chicken” in both our meals had the appearance, texture and taste of turkey, potentially a cheap post Christmas option? The festive theme seemed to continue with Brussels Sprouts in the curry sauce. The mains were inedible, they would have gone straight in the bin but I plan to invite Trading Standards to investigate the nature of the fowl on offer. Bombay aloo was, in fairness, tasty and did get eaten. Net result - 90% of our bill was wasted. Been visiting this place for 25 years - no more.

Not what it was. Sadly. The poppadoms were a bit stale. Chicken chat starter pretty tasteless. Curry far too hot for a Jalfresi. Won't be going back.

Absolutely DREADFUL Worst indian we have ever had We travelled from Ellesmere Port on New Year’s Eve to try here after some recommendations. Well, we will never ever come back! I understand it was NYE and they were probably busy with takeaways etc but the restaurant wasn’t even full. I had booked the table for 7:45 however we couldn’t find a place to park for ages, driving round and round so we were 10 minutes late. When I arrived, I apologised for being late but no one cared that i’d even booked, they just sat us on a table and didn’t even ask for my name. They sat us next to a disgustingly dirty table that had rice all over the floor by our feet. This should’ve been sign to run. Someone came over after 10 minutes to ask if we wanted poppadoms, I ordered the poppadoms and asked if I could order a drink. The reply was ‘i’ll get someone to come over’. No one came. The two tables next to us were laughing with us saying we’ll be waiting 10 hours as they didn’t even have cutlery to eat with and had been waiting ages. I called someone over to order a drink, at this point we’d eaten the poppadoms. I couldn’t even ask the waiter who served us the poppadoms as he ran off after throwing them on the table. After 25 minutes, someone finally took our food order. We waited around 20 minutes for the food which wasn’t bad. The starters arrived and they were freezing. Like they had been warmed up in the microwave. My partner had a prawn chaat and he couldn’t even chew the prawn. There was no flavour in anything. Then 3 different people came over to ask if we were ready for mains, which we’d said yes all 3 times. It’s so disorganised in there. No one seems to know what they’re doing or which tables to look after. If you ask for something such as a sauce or a drink, someone else has to come over to serve, it’s all very strange. The bar maids had faces like thunder and i’m not surprised. I wouldn’t want to spend my NYE working in there either. The staff just seemed incapable. We then received our mains. I’d ordered a chicken tikka massala because I thought not much could go wrong. Ohhh was I wrong. I had to spit 2 pieces of chicken out because they were literally crunchy! The sauce was pink not red, it was thick with cream and yogurt and absolutely no other flavour or mild spices. It was the worst curry i’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t get my knife into the chicken it was that fatty. Both mine and my partners curries were luke warm. The rice came and it was all stuck together and freezing cold. The chips were roasting to the point they burnt our mouths but they were soggy. Clearly been warmed up but for too long. No one came to ask us how our meal was. The waiter then took our plates and dropped them. Rice everywhere. It was ashambles. My partners beer was flat. You weren’t allowed to take your own drinks in as it was New Year. We asked the waiter for the bill as he was collecting our plates. 15 minutes went by so we asked someone else. He said it’s being sorted. Another 25 minutes went by and no one came. I started to get annoyed and honestly felt like walking out without paying. I don’t think anyone would have even noticed!! Anyway, I went to the front and asked to pay. He then charged me someone else’s bill!! It took absolutely ages to rectify the error and no apology was given. He just angrily worked out our bill. I can’t believe I paid £60 for 2 people for that awful standard of service and food. The people on the table next to me said ‘you need to order fast because the service in here is shocking’ I thought they were joking! Clearly not!! We didn’t let it ruin our New Year. It was that bad, it was funny. Never again. AVOID!!

Always met by friendly staff. Food was lovely. It was a busy Thursday night with the lead upto Christmas. Only annoying part of the evening I had to ask for my change £11, after waiting over ten minutes.

Warm welcome to well-lit restaurant conducive to a good meal and good company. Was actually quite cold in first real week of winter, but we were a very early sitting. Service was just right - prompt and professional and the food was good quality too at a fair price.

Really efficient service on a busy Saturday, we were a couple - took our own wine, but also enjoyed tasty starters (after a munch on poppadoms and a varied dips tray), then onto delicious mains. We will be returning, and recommend others to arrange a visit

They got upset about an alleged order of 28 samosas and held it against us

Been going here for about 30 years. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience this week. It was half an hour before they took our order;the restaurant wasn't even that busy. They offered a deal where you get poppadoms,starter,mains and rice or naan for £13.95 on Sunday and Wednesday. The food was good,but unfortunately they refused to give us the offer. The waiter stated that we hadn't asked for the offer,and that we had been given bigger portions than the banquet deal. So much for looking after loyal customers.

Piss poor experience compared to last delivery. Still waiting after order placed on their app 1hr and 20mins ago. Phoned after an hour to chase, "it's on its way" Where from, India's Mars lander? We are a 4 minute drive from the Ruhi. Don't advertise a service you can't provide. Update. Turned up just as I was about to cancel and get a refund.....1 hour and 25 minutes after initial order

The food was delicious, I got lamb jalfrezi, the lamb was perfect melted in your mouth, the staff were very friendly, and helpful, my first time there I would definitely go back

Hi we are regular diners at the Rhui tonight was excellent we ordered Popadoms, Chicken Tikka main, onion Bargis, egg fried rice and perwari naan, service and food was excellent thanks to our server Naz for the great service

Just came in for a evening meal we had 3 popadums, chicken tikka main and onion Bhajis with a perwari naan and egg fried rice, all the food was amazing hot and very tasty. Our server was excellent we are regulars here but tonight’s meal was so good I had to trip advise. Servers name Naz was very good we will be back thank you again

Ordered takeaway. Very disappointed. Poppadoms disgusting from old oil . Spoilt starter which was cold. Main meal Limp at best . Used to love a curry take away but not tonight . Family customer lost

Came to the restaurant on a Friday night, didn’t book, we came at 9:15pm. When we arrived, there was only one other table with four people on it. The rest of the restaurant was completely empty, which we were surprised at. On entering. We were told that we would need to order quickly because the kitchen was going to shut. I found this surprising as it was only 9:15 pm, and it was also a Friday night. I ordered a curry, rice and naan bread which came out fairly quickly. The curry seem to be a lot of sauce and only around four or five pieces of chicken in it. I did not feel like the atmosphere was a good atmosphere as the staff clearly wanted to leave and were just standing by the bar area chatting amongst themselves loudly, we felt like we were rushed as they were so quiet that they wanted to close early. The food itself was not the best curry and I spent the night with a bad belly. Wouldn’t return at all.

We recently had a lovely family get together at the Ruhi for my sisters birthday. The food was amazing and very well organised staff were so polite and very friendly highly recommended 😀

We booked the Ruhi for my daughters 16th Birthday. There were 16 of us and each and everyone of us really enjoyed the experience and food. Very tasty. The staff were really welcoming and helpful offering to take photos for us and the service was superb given how busy they were that night. Highly recommended.

We love going to the Ruhi any day of the week. The food is always gorgeous and the prices are very reasonable. The waiters are attentive and super polite.

Just had a lovely meal with 3 of my friends. We all enjoyed what we had. Staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was cooked to perfection. My only problem was the keema nann bread seemed plain although I was assured it had the Mince in it we just couldn't see it. But apart from that it was a truly perfect night. Thank you Ruhi Balti. Ps I forgot to take pictures. Oh and thank you for my shot of baileys for my birthday it too was delicious 😋.

It is always excellent, we go every Christmas day, the staff are always so kind and are always willing to help you. There is a wide variation on the menu and there is surely something for everyone. On Christmas day there is always an option for a normal Christmas dinner as well if that is what someone would like to have instead of the Indian food. The food is always made very quickly and the staff treat you very well. It is great and I recommend it

Took the knock off a poppadom, I’d stay away

I attended the restaurant on Friday with a bunch off friends ,the waiter that served us was very rude and also the way he spoke to a fellow female waitress was totally out of order she looked really embarrassed and this really ruined are experience, I hope something is done about this because I'd feel uncomfortable eating her again wich is a shame because the food was delicious.

Have ordered here quite a few times however the last two times we have ordered there have been complete mix ups with the food! First time was someone else’s food even had a completely different address on the ticket, the driver came back to collect it to re deliver to the correct address and we waited another 40 mins after already waiting over and hour for our food. Second time again brought us someone else’s food but we double checked before taking the order this time due to the mix up the previous time, yet again having to wait for our actual food to be redelivered. We used to love this place but the lack of organisation with the deliveries has caused us to go elsewhere

Came last weekend with my girlfriend for date night tremendous staff all so polite and friendly and the food was amazing definitely worth the visit and be back again soon !

I visited today with a group of friends as a get together for not seeing eachother for a while, the food was great as always however can’t say the same for the young waiter. The waiter came to take our order and called us “a load of bitches” for ordering a chicken tikka. He then continued to call the young women we were with “bitches” for when they ordered korma. If this wasn’t enough he said he was only 20 and even he could handle more spice than us in which we apparently needed to grow up! He continued to tell us how he had to be the manager as none of the other staff could speak English ( his words) he then continued to walk past our table on multiple occasions vaping. We all absolutely love coming to this restaurant however were disgusted by this waiters actions today and the overall experience had been dampened by his actions.

Just ordered takeaway said 60 minutes delivery came about 20 minutes food hot,nicest Indian meal I've had in ages,ordered chicken korma and tandoori chicken both delicious 😋

Attentive, friendly & professional service, food consistently good on dining nights or party nights, nothing seems a problem to them to give a great dining experience/ambience. Bring your own drinks a bonus, alongside their fully stocked bar & wine list. Always easy to be critical of this type of restaurant, but in my wife's and my opinion, definitely 5 star. If you need food or drink adjusted to your taste just ask. Staff only too willing to assist. P&B Wight

Group of six of us ordered from the set Sunday menu. We checked it was available and were shown what was available as part of the set meal.We were the only people in the restaurant and quickly realised that they were waiting to close as it was 10pm and rushed us through the courses, which was fine. General consensus was that the curries were quite bland, my bhuna was more of a thick paste than a curry sauce.We were seriously overcharged so queried the bill, to be told that the Sunday set menu was only available until 9pm. They'd allowed us to order the set meal but then charged for each item separately, resulting in £30 increase. .. complete scam.Will stick to the Vindaloo round the corner from now on!

The Ruhi used to be great 10-15 years ago but the quality has become bog standard and often even less than that. Dried out chicken, bland sauces, chewy starters. Unfortunately the advice is don't even bother, it's a waste of money.

We were meeting good friends here for a catch up, so we were all looking forward to the evening. In the past The Ruhi was always the place to go , you always enjoyed good food and a warm and friendly welcome. Not this time, it was the total opposite! When we arrived, the waiter was propping himself up against the bar with his arms folded. I said hello.....he totally ignored me. Luckily our friends were already seated so we just made our way over to them. I ordered sheek kebab to start, it was so salty and swimming in oil. Not a good start. My sister in law had channa on puri, the chickpeas were as hard as rock and the bread was impossible to cut. My main was tandoori chicken, which always used to be delicious, it was quite dry and tough as if it had been re-heated a few times. The others weren't impressed with their meals either. No body came and asked how our meals were. Needless to say that will be the last time we visit. The waiters there were always happy to see you, this bunch here last night were so miserable! Normally the restaurant would be quite busy no matter what day it was, last night it was out table of 4 and another table of 4. I you want a decent meal with decent service don't come here!

This place is average at best. We ordered 4 different dishes, I tried them all and I just wasn't impressed. None of them were bad either, just OK. Service was OK too, but not impressive. Maybe I'm just used to much better Indian places. I wouldn't return there.

One of the waiters had a chisseld chest . He could do some work on his triceps though

Came here tonight to celebrate my friends 20th birthday. Booked the day before and expected there to be a table for us to sit at upon arrival. We were made to wait 20 minutes for our table and after being told by the waiter ‘You have to order a main’ we were then moved tables, which we were happy to do. However after when our starters arrived they were stone cold so had to be sent back. We then waited an hour and a half for our mains and noticed people who had ordered after us we’re getting their food. I politely asked the waiter if he could check on our food and how long it would be to which I was very rudely told ‘we’re busy’ and ‘other people didn’t get starters’. The staff were all very rude towards me and many other customers tonight and I’m quite frankly disappointed as I have been here years before and had nothing but good things to say. I have been left in disbelief and will never be returning.

Food lovely. However service was shocking, very rude and abrupt. Barely finished meal and was handed the bill, couple minutes later reminded to pay the bill, before being ushered out,didn't even feel like I could use the toilet. The while evening was very rushed from the moment we walked through the door.
