We visited for a birthday celebration. The pub is impeccably presented both inside and out. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious with a great selection on the menu. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This is a lovely country pub in the new forest. We stopped in for a mid week supper and enjoyed some tasty food. The beer is also kept well and the Ringwood Best was very good. The staff are always welcoming and it has a good mixture of people having a drink and eating so there is a nice atmosphere.

The Monkey House

02/03/2020: Great, buzzing atmosphere, food and even live music. All unexpected during a short w/e visit to Lymington. A fab welcome, quick, friendly service and food freshly prepared.
23/02/2020: We went to the Monkey House on the last night of our holiday in the New Forest. There was a lovely atmosphere and the fairy lights around the beams and the lit fire made it all feel very cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service efficient throughout the evening. The food was excellent and the alcohol reasonably priced.

The Elderflower Lymington

17/03/2020: A friend and I met for lunch here, as we have before. I chose St Austell Bay Mussels with Frites, which were nice. My friend had Crab, Scallop and Lobster Lasagne which looked lovely, if small, for £28.50. I was surprised that they charged her extra for a slice of baguette. Service was excellent. I’d like to come back for dinner.
23/02/2020: I have a friend of many years, and annually we each take the other out for a birthday dinner. We usually try to find somewhere a bit out of the ordinary, and being February, it was my turn. I selected The Elderflower, on The Quay in Lymington. A delightful location, even on a cold night in February, and a seat in the window by a wall mounted fire, set us up in anticipation of a good meal.
