The Royal Express Kebab House in Dartford

Phoned to chase the order 1.5 hours after placing it. At that point driver apparently left to bring our order. Arrived lukewarm. Never had success with delivery from here, won’t be using them again.

Late arrival, no updates, called the restaurant and was told will be 10 minutes, took a further 20 minutes from then and food was cold

The portion sizes are so small. Very little food for the £35 charge

No stars at all as it didn’t arrive. The driver delivered it to the wrong address and when he rang me told me he couldn’t do anything about it so I hope he enjoyed my kebab. He owes me £23 👋

The quality is fine, the potions of our donner meat and chips seemed a bit small for the price but the wait for the food was so long. Around 75 minutes when initially it was 30 minutes and we live around 5 minutes from the place. It's a shame as it's tasty, but it's not good value for money due to the poor portion size and delivery times are just unacceptable in comparison to other take aways on the area.

Portion size of the cips was tiny, i ordered a large and the portion wouldnt even feed 2 children, chips were also drier than a nuns foof. The burger was not very nice, and the chicken wrap being £10 is an absolute robbery considering what turned up.

They are rip offs spent like £12 for 5 pieces of lamb shish kebab with a bread I do not recommend do not go there.

Paid £34 for 2 kebabs and a large chips. One medium kebab had 4 bits of Chicken in it. Large chips were a small portion at best and they were soggy. All food was cold. Will not be ordering from here again.

The salad tasted sour like it had gone off and there was no garlic mayonnaise on the kebabs. Not the best we’ve had from here.

What a terrible kebab shop, spent good money and the size of the portions is a joke, I knew the old owner and it was so much better then, large lamb shishes were an absolute joke thinly sliced lamb dry as hell, every other kebab shop does standard chunks instead of slicing them, and the chips, wow🤣🤣 couldn’t of even been half a potato for a large chips what a joke🤣 never again! Avoid!

The pot of sauce had opened over the food, and what was left in the pot tasted like curry when we ordered burger sauce. The medium chips and medium chicken shish were tiny. They were like a kids meal! Totally overpriced food. Won’t be ordering again.

the food quality was so bad on this order, I ordered from here last week and the food was okay so i tried it again and the food was terrible and waited over 2 hours for delivery, the chicken doner was hard and dry, honestly one of the worst I've tasted. So disappointing having paid £50 for an order we couldn't eat. so over priced for what you get

I am very disappointed as I am a very regular customer. But the portion size and size of the salad has been so small now the last few times have ordered. Have given the benefit of the doubt but when there was 4 pieces of chicken and salad so small there wasn’t barely any red cabbage. Not sure I will be looking to order anymore.

Since the new owners, the food has been 10/10. The food tasted exceptionally great, went and got food for my family and we all loved it. Great service, great food 😋. I recommend you try it out

Ever since this place has been taken over by new owners, I couldn’t be more happier. The food is amazing and it just hits the spot. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Will definitely come back again.

Food was good just disappointed in the portion size. I tried this tonight but for the price you would be better off getting a chicken kebab as you get more meat. £11 for a hand full of meat and some soggy chips as everything was put on top of this chips.

We was driving past and tried this kebab shop for the first time, we will defo be back! Food was lovely portions were great all freshly cooked and prepared in front of us. Good pricing and really friendly staff, very clean restaurant. Thank you 😊

food was a absolute joke, 3 bits of chicken in a pitta for £9, chilli sauce had no flavour and the shish was tough. Both kebabs were not medium but extra small. Never will order there again

We phoned to ask where food was, got passed from person to person. When they worked out which order was ours they asked us "what do you want us to do?" I told them I wanted the food and they said it would be 5 min. Food did then arrive but was cold.

So annoyed placed order at 18-39 said order would be here 19-30 to 19-50 got a message to say it had been delivered enjoy but it hadn’t arrived so phoned twice then they changed the time to 20-25 still didn’t arrive called the restaurant and they said it’s on its way I said 2hrs from start to finish and yes is stone cold will never order from this place

Ordered a few times and was always happy. Today the delivery was approx 45.minutes late. When it arrived, the portions were small, all of the food was cold and sauces had been put on the food rather than separate. Only good thing was the salad!! Lost a customer today

2 mixed meat and chips turned up as 2 lamb donner and chips, no option of sauce so when you buy it extra, it turns up in a tiny pot, tiny is also a word to describe the portions. Shockingly bad. Left feeling hungry and upset.

It took 2 hours to deliver cold food

It won’t let me select more than 5 minutes late but it was 40 minutes later than their original time. It actually took over 2 hours to arrive!! Poor service food was almost cold and chips were flattened in packaging. When I called after 1hr and 45mins to chase they didn’t give a clear answer and almost hung up on me. I’ve ordered before and it was fine. Really not impressed this time.

Thought I'd try the restaurant since it's new. Definitely not disappointed. One of the best doner kebabs I've had in years from a take away. Not greasy at all and very generous portion. Chips are fries but they are what they are. Would like a bit of seasoning on them but not a big deal. Salad was perfect. Clearly fresh with a nice variety and again a generous portion. Also ordered an ice cream but the wrong flavour was sent.. definitely would be ordering again for sure

Honestly food was so bad I took one bite and threw it in the bin, Would not feed that to my dog it was as though everything had been sitting around and reheated

After reading the rubbish reviews AFTER I had ordered, I did not know what to expect. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his spicy chicken wings and chips and my chicken shish wrap with salad and garlic sauce was delicious . Plenty of chips, in fact I ate some too. All in all a lovely meal.

Still waiting 2 hours after placing an order. Requested a refund and they flatly refused, told me to call Just Eat and sort it out myself. Disgraceful. Owner said that he doesn't care about a bad review as he is making lots of money already

will NEVER order anything from here ever again. Ordered 1 chicken burger 1 chips and 1 kebab on a Saturday night at 7.30 pm . Delivery slot given was between 8.30-8.50. Out food FINALLY arrived at 10.55!!!!! 2 hours after the latest time slot originally given. We kept chasing and were told it was just leaving or had just left. We then received the food and NO salad or sauces on any of the burger or kebab. Just bread and meat. Literally the worst take out I’ve ever had and would never recommend them to anyone. Wish I’d looked up the terrible rating they have before hand so at least I’ve learn something I suppose!!!

Like many other people we are loyal customers, just to get a very bad service and food. It seems to be normal to wait for two hours for your delivery, then when you ring to ask if they have sent it to Spain as the flight there is shorter than driving three miles to deliver it. And then you get a kebab that you wouldn’t feed to your dog. we will never use this so called kebab house again.

Had problems last friday 15th May, wrong order sent, after 2.5 wait! Complimentary meal offered, so ordered again tonight at 7.15pm, meal arrived at 10!
