Awful food, which left a horrible after taste. The mix grill was the worst we have ever had with chewy lamb and charred chicken wings. We couldn't eat the daal (and we love a good daal), and lamb curry felt was from a packet. Please avoid this place and there are plenty of other places which serve much better food.

Decent grill! Selections as great as others I’ve been to in regards to what you get but it’s always nice and great staff! Chilli chips are lovely and so is the fish pakora!

Tried this place for the first time and how amazing, tasty, good size portions and delicious WOW !!! definitely coming back 100% i would recommend it because it's a must try place plus the staff really polite and helpful.

Fancied a lunchtime curry and glad we stopped off for the first time at The Rowley. Nice place, staff and food. The biryani was superb and a nice addition to excellent Chicken Tikka and wings. Free poppadoms were a bonus too and look forward to visiting again. Updated August 24. Returned monthly since and The Rowley has always been good value and food. Still free poppadoms! Clay pot chicken is now my favourite order. Plenty of creamy sauce to mop up with naan.

Superb food and service highly recommended

This is without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant (and I've been to a lot over the years). I live local and I either eat in/get a delivery once a month. The food is spot on every single time and my personal favourites are the garlic fried rice and the chicken tikka massala. They usually throw in free poppadoms which is a nice touch too. I've taken friends/partners over the years and they always comment how good the food is too! The service is always absolutely fantastic too - not sure if it's family run or not but it always has the same faces who have a chat with me when I eat in, and they always check the food is ok. Car park isn't the biggest but there is street parking within a few minutes walk.

Iv eaten inside but never had take away till tonight an got to say it was the best tikka masalla iv tasted

My second time visiting here and every time the food has been amazing! Some of the best curries I have ever tried (and I have tried a few places being a foodie). Me and my boyfriend ordered a korma, chicken tikka masala, garlic fried rice, chilli battered chips (these are honestly some of the best chips I have ever eaten!!) and cheesy garlic naan. All of the food tasted insane - cooked to perfection, rich in flavour and generous portions! We both agreed the chilli battered chips are something we are going to be ordering every single time when we next visit. There are boxes available to take away food if you cannot finish your meal. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Variety of drinks available at the bar (although the Pepsi max on tap is abit too flat for my personal liking). I did forget to take photos of the food (I was starving) but it's just even more excuse to visit again for more delicious food! Small and free car park available. Clean toliet facilities inside.

This was a local pub but is now and Indian restaurant with nice charm and cricket on multiple screens around the bar and dining areas. You have to order drinks from the bar and dinner from the restaurant end. Meat grills were huge and could be shared, with or without sides. Overall a nice place

Went for the first time today for lunch... It definitely won't be my last!! The staff were very friendly, even spent a bit of time having a chat with us at various points during our meal. The place is stunning, looks brand new and modern inside, the place is spotless as well! The food is next level!! We had two starters and two mains, the portions were massive, there was no way we could finish, the staff were more than happy to box it up for us to take home. Pricewise, it's extremely good value for money. I'm looking forward to going back already!

It's amazing, I've traveled far and wide to try 5 star curry places and I have this 1 on my door step, Food is fresh and the meats are so tender and break up with no effort, no nasty chewy - crunchy bits. 5 star 🌟 from me, and the prices are amazing for the quality. This is now my favourite Indian restaurant - bar. Keep up the good work, and don't take lamb Rara off the menu 😋

Visited for a mates Birthday meal. It was a Saturday and the footie was on. Great crowd. We had a side room reserved for all of us. Cozy and great space for 20 heads. I had the Rowley special grill. Fabulous meat selection and suitable for two to share! Beer selection wasn't strong enough for my taste. No premium beers to chose from. I would deffo go again and eat.

Gutted!! Month ago 1st time visit and mixed grill was gorgeous, went Saturday and oh dear what has happened...despite ordering the largest mixed grill it came and was half the size, the tandoori chicken was nice but every thing else was burnt, sheesh was hard and overcooked, left the lamb chops as looked as though been grilled to death, batter on the fish was vile...I could go on but no point as won't be back.... The stars I left are for the staff who are lovely.

Came here for my birthday last month. Booked a table online in advance. When we arrived, we were told that there was no table for us (5)and that we should have called not booked online as website was "no good"....even though it is THEIR own website. Food was nice but we felt rushed to move from our table when we were almost finished eating. They wanted to move us to another table. We were NOT impressed so refused this. We wanted to order cocktails and desserts for afterwards as it was a birthday celebration, but after this episode, we just left. Disappointing all round.

Food at this restaurant is fabulous, only downside is that the tv’s are really loud with sport playing, they have a separate room which would be better used as a quieter place for people not wanting to watch/listen to football / sport and want to have a conversation. Went Sunday just gone, had to sit in main bar, exceptionally loud, children running around, people shouting from bar to friends sitting down, we actually left and went elsewhere to eat, we love the food but not the noise!!!!

Fancied a change and planned a group booking for my Birthday, initially booked for 15 which increased to 20 plus, there was some confusion as we were expecting a private area, ( double booked) the staff were amazing and made adjustments to accommodate even though the the place was busy(full).. service was quick, and food was pretty good, a decent sized mixed grill (our go to).. Will visit again..

Enjoyed a lovely lunch time curry with stepdaughter and her son. Was very quiet hence the atmosphere score but was actually quite nice. Didn't realise that food is ordered at the bar, so we sat a while; when the waitress realised she kindly took our order at the table. Food was delicious and very good value for money. Step grandson couldn't decide which dessert to have, so the waitress brought both which were on the house. Very enjoyable and we'll be returning next time we're visiting.

We came here for a Xmas gathering for work. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The bar staff were also very friendly and chatty. The car park is a little limited with space, so I think it would be best to get a taxi as it does get quite busy.

My partner and I stopped here to grab a quick meal, in the middle of our trip a day ago. It was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was pleasing. The food was really great. Especially the goat curry and Sizzlers. All the staff was really nice to us. One of the staff names sana dealt with most of queries well. Locals are blessed to have such a wonderful place nearby them.

Always made to feel welcome as soon as you step foot in the pub. Manisha is so lovely and attentive she always greets us with a big smile. Food is exceptional, and so is the service. Free poppadoms are a lovely touch.

Myself and my hungry husband, found ourselves in the depths of Rowely Regis yesterday evening after a long business meeting and decided to look for somewhere to have some food. After checking out this place online we decided to explore this Bar & Grill for the very first time. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't expecting much, but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised, and that's precisely why I'm compelled to give them a review and share my experience with you all. As both a Chef and a discerning food critic, I firmly believe in acknowledging excellence and constructively noting areas for improvement. My standards for dining are quite high, and not many establishments can meet my discerning palate. Fortunately, we had an exceptionally delightful evening, and above all, the food and service were outstanding! The staff and management displayed exceptional hospitality, and their service was truly commendable. As a vegetarian and given my professional background, I can be quite demanding when it comes to my culinary experiences. We ordered the Saag Paneer and Soya Chicken Curry, along with Nan and Rice, and to our delight, we were also treated to complimentary popadoms (a rare treat these days) along with a trio of delightful sauces. Although I'm generally not a fan of sauces from squeezy bottles, a small taste from my husband's dish convinced me to make an exception. The sauces were simply sublime, and they whetted my appetite in anticipation of the meal to come. When the food arrived, my initial impression was that the presentation was somewhat dated, reminiscent of balti dishes from about six or seven years ago. However, I quickly realized that style matters less than flavor, and my taste buds were in for a real treat. Every element of the dishes was a revelation: the Saag had a rich, authentic flavor that went beyond mere spinach (yes, there is indeed a difference), and the tender, marinated paneer was a testament to the chef's skill. The Soya curry was a league of its own, marked by a unique flavor profile that had a Nepalese touch with subtle use of extra garlic, tempered ginger, and green chilies. It wasn't just a heavy-handed blend of red chili powder and garam masala. These chefs demonstrated their knowledge of flavors and a deep respect for their craft, and their passion for cooking shone through in every bite. I'm notoriously hard to please, but after this meal, I left the establishment feeling happy, content, and eager to return for another culinary adventure. I sincerely hope that the second visit lives up to the first, as consistency can sometimes be a challenge for many places. However, based on the reviews I've read, I'm optimistic that the experience will be equally if not more delightful. On a less savory note, the music selection on the TV left something to be desired. While I enjoy the Spice Girls and Whitney Houston, but being in an Indian Bar & Grill, I had hoped for some lively Bollywood tunes to set the mood. Additionally, the decor could use a bit more vibrancy and illumination; as it felt somewhat dark and lacking in character. That said, I've been to lavishly decorated places with atrocious food, so perhaps the focus shouldn't be solely on decor. In conclusion, this place is genuinely a hidden gem in Rowley Regis, one that deserves to be discovered especially for its Vegan and Vegetarian food and especially for the impressionalble service, smile, and sublimely delicious vegetarian curries. No I haven’t spelt Rowley wrong!!!!!! Haven’t visited for some 5 years but finally managed a visit and WOW!!! Food absolutely fantastic and in my opinion the best food and value for money in the West Midlands. Staff awesome and friendly and we will definitely visit again.
