Very good place indeed. Wonderful ambiance and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Ate here twice during a short anniversary trip with my other half. Best meals we've had during the trip without a doubt. Well worth a visit!

Just came in for a drink but decided to try the food. Best decision ! Pizza and side order of fries. Really tasty and reasonably priced. Staff really attentive. Will definitely be returning..

I didn’t even know this place was here until my partner came across it online.. I like the building, it looks cool and this is literally the Best Sunday dinner I have ever had in a pub, will definitely be back 😋

My family enjoyed the best roast dinner at the roundhouse Nottingham the beef was tender with tasty roast potatoes and fresh variety of vegetables all on a large Yorkshire pudding with thick tasty gravy followed by the best capachino coffee ever ,all in a lovely ambient atmosphere with smiley girls serving .we will definitely be returning.

We chose the Roundhouse as the General hospital was where the four of us started our nurse training 42yrs ago. Loved all the old photos of the hospital posted around the walls. The staff were brilliant and particular thanks to Dexter who waited our table. We had small plates and the food was delicious, we will be returning very soon.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch at the Roundhouse with my family when we visited Nottingham. Really nice atmosphere and decor,staff were attentive and really welcoming and friendly. We all had the 3 course lunch menu and weren’t disappointed. The mac n cheese starter was as good as I’ve had and for main course I had the roast beef which was really well presented in a large Yorkshire pudding and the portion sizes were huge! Finished off with the very tasty chocolate brownie. Overall, a lovely venue, excellent value for money and a family of four left stuffed and very happy. Would definitely recommend.

Second visit, this time for Sunday lunch with the family, bit concerned looking at previous reviews. Shouldn’t have been absolutely brilliant, couldn’t fault the food or service. Will definitely return.

Came for a Sunday roast due to good rating me and my dad had wanted to come here for ages and it’s safe to say it’s my first time and will be the last. I’ve had better experiences in McDonald’s. Tables are sticky. Staff are very quiet and almost seem embarrassed.

Unique round building, lovely relaxed atmosphere, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great selection of beers, with a good food selection, my husband had the burger, I had the spinach and falafel burger both delicious and came with plenty of chips, we left happy and planning to return

Smashing experience, it was a very wet and cold Monday night. We were welcomed by Michael the barman, nothing was too much trouble. Nice range of beer and wine, food was great and reasonably priced. Michael's service made it. Well done.

Wanted a place to eat, at short notice, and they accommodated us here brilliantly. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and put up with our banter. They were very attentive and service was excellent. Good range of drinks and food was very tasty, especially the small plates, and very fairly priced. Nice environment too with high ceilings, uncramped feeling and good lighting. Dog friendly too👍

Decent ale selection, enjoyed the small plates food. Dead quiet though probably due to the beer festival across the other side of town at Trent Bridge. As a result of this, we received very good service from the friendly staff. One improvement that could be suggested (very minor) might be a few more craft beers to choose from in the fridge, but this angle is covered more than adequately by the Crafty Crow: Magpie Brewery pub across the street.

Staying in Nottingham for the weekend, found this hidden gem. Great selection of beers and lovely atmosphere. Made very welcome by the owners and staff. Would definitely recommend if you’re staying in the City.

Great to see this place reopened. Its a really nice, classy, relaxed pub with setting booths that are great for semi-private dining/drinking. Bar service is good and range of beers is good also.

Not really a review but this is just to let you know that The Roundhouse reopens on August 14th 2023. Great news for this hidden gem. I hope they retain the same laid back feel. No word on whether they are selling real ales as...

Haven’t been here for about 30 years but saw it ranked highly in Nottingham evening post for a Sunday roast. Really gorgeous building, very unique, friendly service and delicious roast!

Popped in the roundhouse for a spot of lunch in Nottingham on a whim and we were blown away with the quality of service and food! Amazing value for money !

Our first meal out after lockdown 3 and it was wonderful. A beautiful day made sitting outside an absolute delight. The staff were efficient and friendly. What i recommend the most are the tapas. They are making. Three for £15 and the portions were huge. Great choice of drinks too. We could not have asked for a better lunch together.

We tried the roundhouse for a relaxed dinner and drinks this evening. It was the best meal / service / setting we have had out in a while- also just a minute walk outside of the city centre.We were instantly impressed by the fact they had ABK pilsner and Helles on draft along with a great selection of other beers / wines / spirits.The food is faultless- really generous portions for a decent price- myself and my partner both loved our starters and mains and even struggled to finish! We have heard from friends that Sunday roast is also amazing herewith. We will definitely be visiting again soon- thank you

Booked in on the Saturday as the Roundhouse had only just re-opened on the Friday. Had a 3-course Anniversary meal celebration with great food and attentive and friendly staff. Had a lovely time .. highly recommend 👍

My partner and I both ordered the beef roast, everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Best roast we’ve had in Nottingham for a long while!

Called in on a quiet Wednesday evening for a quick drink. Covid measures were well implemented. Interesting building with many old photos that commemorated the historic old General Hospital site. Pleasant service in a relaxed setting.

Ubicado en un edificio de forma cilíndrica, originalmente parte del Hospital General ubicado en una zona elegante pero tranquila, a 5 - 10 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad. Stayed overnight in Nottingham having dropped daughter back to university and decided to try somewhere different. So glad we booked this restaurant, the service, food and surroundings were absolutely fantastic.Steaks were cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce to die for. Starters, mains, desserts and cheese really well presented.Highly recommend you give it a try

First time back in Nottingham for 30+ years and amazed to find the Jubilee wing of the old General hospital still standing and even more so an amazing bar/restaurant in the ward I worked on as a student nurse in 1977. Kiran was a really attentive waitress and was genuinely interested in my memories. The chicken ceaser salad was really tasty and my husband loved the touch of vinegar on the house chips. All in all an amazing first meal out since lockdown - thank you.

The last time we went o have a Sunday lunch we were extremely disappointed that our Roast Beef dinner came to the table without Yorkshire puddings. When we asked where they were we told that they had ran out. Shocking as we weren't made aware when ordering our food and were offered nothing to compensate. When i went to complain the manager said i could have my lime soda cost taken off! Shocking, we wont be back. No apologies were offered.

Wanted to like this place so much, the decor is lovely and the building fabulous. Unfortunately it seems to be style over substance. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned and when it came it was literally a straight doubleBourbon (not even the right bourbon), tbf when he queried it they brought him another one that was just bourbon with orange peel in it, NOT an Old Fashioned. We both had their special burger, very small and SO dry with no seasoning, complete with hockey puck frozen burger buns. No sauce, no onion, a tiny piece of gherkin and all in a tall, tall stack so that you couldn’t eat it altogether. Chips were nice but lukewarm. Such a shame but won’t be returning. And btw service is very poor apart from when you didn’t want them and place less than half full. Considering it’s COVID time I would have thought that a bit more effort would be put in for people dining out.

Food and atmosphere 10/10 only fault was trying to seat us at a less than desirable table,that’s fine if your busy but not so when it’s relatively quiet but to be fair when asked to move they were obliging 🤙

Had a lovely meal here this evening. It was a very relaxed atmosphere; we sat outside on the tucked away terrace so felt very safe in the current climate too. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly; I was even converted to peppercorn sauce - which I normally hate. Staff had a perfect balance of professional but friendly too.

We’ve had a few drinks outside on the terrace a couple of times and met in-laws parents for a meal .. brilliant friendly service .. good banter with Waitress Karin and Joulian... food was simply gorgeous .. under new management and Craig and Rosa (from Bakehouse fame) certainly know what they’re doing. I was lucky enough to visit The Roundhouse for my birthday meal just before lockdown and was really excited to visit again, this time for a post-lockdown Sunday lunch. The food and service was excellent; staff were attentive throughout to make sure glasses were full and clean plates cleared. Without a doubt, worth a trip (and then another one).

I had a fantastic lunch at The Roundhouse on Saturday. It wasn't quite warm enough to sit outside but it's as good an indoor venue as you could wish for in these strange times. Excellent social distancing and hygiene measures in place. I just need to go when it's sunny next time

So pleased to come back here after lockdown. Felt really safe, hand sanitizers at the entrance & in toilets. You wait at the entrance & get escorted to your table (we had pre booked). The layout of this place is perfect for social distancing & it was a lovely experience. We came back here for the Sunday Roast beef we remembered from when they opened just before lockdown & it didn’t disappoint - I had a side of spring greens & my partner had pigs in blankets. I asked for mine without butter & it was no problem - absolutely beautiful food, well presented & delicious. All the staff were really friendly & efficient. Really glad we went as they have got it so right - full marks from us all round. :)

When for lunch and was no disappointed. Staff were all following Corvid guide lines so felt very safe. Find was quick and clearly fresh made. Definitely be going again!

Amazing building with a great atmosphere. Delicious and authentic pub food. The 12oz Ribeye steak was delicious, especially with a pint of bakers boy, and the sausage and mash the Mrs had was comfort food at its finest. Roundhouse is back to being one of Nottinghams great pubs!

We popped in to see what the new owners had done with the place which used to be our local... simply put it was amazing. The decor and feel of the place was great, the staff were friendly, welcoming and adhering to the new guidelines. The drinks offer was good and the food menu was well balanced and good value for money. We opted for a light bite and sandwich from the lunch menu but will definitely be back for the full menu one evening. A real gem and we will definitely be back to being regulars again!

This evening was my first time in for quite some time as I had heard that it had been taken over so decided to check it out once more. We had fantastic dinner, everything tasted fresh and it was such a challenge deciding what to eat as it all sounded so good! Great selection of wines, and the staff were really knowledgeable and able to recommend a wine to go with our dish. Importantly, they had really good safety measures in place and we felt safe and well looked after throughout our visit. We have booked back in for Sunday lunch as have heard great reviews about the roasts! We done new owners! You seem to have got it spot on!

We had heard the roundhouse had opened and was under new management same management as the bakehouse in sherwood so knew it was going too be good, and I wasn’t wrong! I had a stunning fish finger sandwich honestly the fresh fish was just delicious full of flavour the bread was tasty and went so well together. My husband had the steak sandwich which was cooked just how he liked. 10/10 for food10/10 for service 10/10 value for money 10/10 on how welcoming everyone was 10/10 from start to finish We will be back and will be highly recommending The roundhouse too family and friends.Well done to the new owners

Popped into the roundhouse on its first day of opening after lock down and am so glad we did. the one beer turned into 3 it was that good the staff and surroundings made it feel comfortable and safe. Have booked a table for food with the family which we're looking forward to.

Fuimos para el almuerzo del domingo con grandes expectativas. Pedimos en el bar y esperamos. . . y esperé y esperé . . 40 minutos después llegaron nuestros almuerzos del domingo. Estaba muy decepcionado, la calidad de los ingredientes era POBRE. El tamaño de la porción era extremadamente PEQUEÑO. La peor parte fue la actitud del personal. Después de haber terminado nuestros platos principales MUY pequeños que esperamos mucho tiempo, nuestros platos sucios se dejaron en la mesa durante 40 minutos más (también habíamos pedido postres). Luego pregunté dónde estaban nuestros postres y el hombre que servía dijo "¿no ves que está muy ocupado"? . Su actitud apestaba, le dije que no deberías tomar órdenes si no puedes seguirlas. Opened on Wednesday and today was our second visit but this time for Sunday lunch. The food was good although the veggie option on the menu stated it came with greens but there wasn’t anything green on the plate. The beef was option was OK although the roast potatoes seemed to be reheated and also slightly hard. Would we go again - possibly. This could be teething issues.

My first visit and I shall go back again. It is a great pub, I really enjoyed the beer selection and the menu looks great.

We popped in here yesterday not having planned a visit so it was a welcome unexpected pleasure. The decor is smart especially at the moment with the Christmas tree and the staff were incredibly helpful. I'd imagine in the summer it would be lovely as there is a balcony going around the outside of the building.

The decor and atmosphere of the venue isvery smart but cosy and the staff were all super friendly and attentive. Our food was very well prepared and tasty but the vegetarian and vegan choices are very limited.

2 of us dined on a Thursday night, and we were both amazed at the quality. Service was first class, and the food was absolutely amazing. The venison was the best I have ever had, and the dessert (chocolate sorbet) was also to die for! Will be returning soon, and recommending to everyone I know that loves good food. This hidden gem is one of the best places to eat in Nottingham. We have tried some dishes from the Small Plates Menu and A la Carte Menu on a Friday evening and we all agreed that the presentation and combination of flavours is absolutely perfect. Great selection of wine, amazing atmosphere and stunning service! Definitely will visit again soon!

Sunday dinner. We both had chicken as they ran out of of the other things. The meal it self was lovely to be fair. Had to ask for gravy and was disappointed there was a fair few things they didn’t have. But all in all ok

Unfortunately after booking in advance for seven people, there was only one roast option left available. The veg and Yorkshire were cold, chicken was fried & dry and potatoes weren’t roasted. A disappointing birthday dinner. On the upside the staff were delightful and exceptionally accommodating.

Darüber hinaus kam der Chef selbst, um mich nach meiner Meinung zum Essen und Wohlbefinden zu fragen. Auf jeden Fall ein verstecktes Highlight, was man in Nottingham besuchen muss.

The only negative would be they have a very limited vegetarian menu. There is no alternative for a vegetarian sunday dinner. I asked if I could have the cabbage rolls with the accompaniments but was told no as that comes as a dinner on its own. I could have had some limited veg (and pay extra) but this would have meant no Yorkshire pudding or cauliflower cheese. I felt staff could have been more accommodating. I ended up having the chicken roast and taking the meat home for my dog

The food was full of flavour and looked great too.

We arrived noticing it was empty for a sunday, after reading reviews i assumed it would be busier, we ordered two roast beef and at nearly £15.00 per portion we was hoping it would be special, when it arrived the yorkshire was cold, the meat had a taint color and very chewy, the fat was not rendered, was not seasoned, aslo served was this cauliflower in cheese which was so overpowered with cream or milk that it tasted horrible. After the second approach from the waitress we explained what was wrong with the meal nothing was done. Highly disappointed.

Booked Sunday lunch on first weekend visit to Nottingham and what a find. All three of us opted for the traditional roast beef - cooked to order- very tasty veg and gravy, great roasted potatoes (piled on for me as I asked for no veg). Tried two desserts and they were unique and extremely edible! The Greek chef sent out a complimentary Greek dish - think donut with honey which went down rather well too. And both staff were easy going, very pleasant and yes, efficient too. Relaxing setting. Will definitely be back as one of us is moving to work in Nottingham. Highly recommended.

Unique bar/restaurant just up from Nottingham Castle, it really is a round house, or rather, a tower. Was always a great place to settle in for the evening in one of the cosy booths. The food used to be decent pub type fare eg steak pie and chips etc. Now a new chef from a Michelin starred restaurant has arrived and the impact on the food is dramatic. Had the best belly pork in my life (it's a bit of a favourite), and a brilliant dessert. Just booked for ten people for my birthday.

We visited as family along with friends and the food was simply amazing. Great desserts and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Having eaten here before, I’ve always been guaranteed a good wholesome meal, and a sunny beer garden to boot, but visiting today, and being told of a new chef - woah! The food was just amazing, never had a Mediterranean salad like it, and the salmon was meaty - so full of flavour, I’m intrigued by a desert.... certainly be coming back with others and recommending to friends - another hidden gem emerging in Nottingham City :) get here quick...

Went for a family lunch for my wife’s birthday. Took a cake with me and asked if they wouldn’t mind putting some candles on it. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Service was excellent, food was great. Thanks for a lovely time.

Its a great venue in a unique design building to have a drink and a chat, lovely bar area, great service, plenty of alcohol choices and well worth a drink or two.
