The Round Georges in Brighton and Hove

I went last week when visiting Brighton. I don't drink alcohol, the coffee was good. I had whitebait which was the best I have ever had and a decent burger. My friends had fish and chips, which they said was excellent. The triple cooked chips were massive. Staff were friendly. All in all a good experience. Will definitely go there again when I am in the area.

Went here for the first time, very nice place and very friendly staff, ordered the kids roast chicken, it was more than enough although less carrots and more parsnips would be nice also could have been a lot hotter, will be definitely be back though, thanks ladies.

What's the use of a pub that is clearly closing at 10:30 on a Saturday night - chairs up on the tables. It's the only pub for a long way around - it has a big potential supply of users but somehow it shuts early on a Saturday. I can't say why that might be as we went somewhere else instead. Perhaps it's great at other times, it really should be - perhaps it needs to be run by someone else.

Yummy fish n chips on a Friday, food was timely and cooked well. I was a big fan of the mushy peas, the staff were friendly and helpful. Good vibes!

After driving around in Brighton at 17.00, we saw the kitchen was open until 18.00 as per Google. Unfortunately, the info was wrong. We were famished, and they saw our face of desperation 🫣. They managed to get a few Yorkshire puddings with gravy which saved our day! Also, as an exception, we were allowed to bring some food from a take away outside. We made it worthy for their generosity in beers. What a great attentive team, lovely atmosphere, and kind people. We will come back when the kitchen is opened next time. 😅

I ate here last Friday and talked with two bar staff about getting a gluten free been chili.They double checked with the chef who confirmed the been chili was gluten free. It was not and I got poisoned. Knowing what the ingredients are is a level of expertise that I expect from a chef along with other basic food preparation principles.

Always good choice for a pub this one, especially when you love live entertainment, as these places need supporting as they are becoming a rare occassion, always found the sunday roasts to be lovely and generous in the portions, staff always friendly and the vibe always nice in the place, well worth visit when you want to visit up that way or just be out of the craziness of the town centre

Very good Sunday roast and great service. Food was hot, flavoursome plentiful and just like you expect from a traditional roast.bin addition at around £15 not too pricey either. Be sure to book as this is a very popular feel good location.

Early doors fish and chips excellent. Crisp well battered fish, chips spot on. No pale imitations here. Great beer and good selection of wines by the glass.
