Delicious, hearty Hungarian food and nice wine in a cosy restaurant. Makes a change from the usual small plates places to have a heaving plate of beef stew and squidgy noodles! I’d like to go back and try more of the menu.

Lovely hungarian food, interior design & pálinka definitely made me feel like home again, great way to introduce our culture to others from different backgrounds. 💯 we will return! (Stuffed cabbage is one of the best I’ve ever had!!!)

Szabolcs took excellent care of our family dinner tonight. Starting with joint bean soup, gypsy steak and beyond that, chestnut puree, everything was perfectly fine. The friendly environment is complemented by Mihany Herczeg's ceramic works, which we all admired. All our wishes were completely fulfilled and we felt at home Thank you Szabolcs and kitchen💗 Szabolcs went above and beyond this evening in taking care of our family dinner. From the pork knuckle bean soup to the gypsy roast, and even the chestnut purée — everything was absolutely perfect. The friendly atmosphere was beautifully complemented by the ceramic artworks of Mihany Herczeg, which we all admired. Every one of our wishes was fulfilled, and we truly felt at home.🙏🏼 Thank you, Szabolcs and the kitchen!💗

We’ve lived nearby for 7 years but hadn’t visited. The menu had lots of great Hungarian choices, the food was delicious, the service was relaxed and friendly and the place has a homely cosy vibe. We really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to our next visit!!

Amazing place. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great, it felt like we were really in Hungary for a few hours. The owner is also incredibly funny and accommodating and made our evening even more entertaining!

I've been here as a couple of times now; the food is really good, and I would especially recommend the goulash and the potato side. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive.

We ordered a few different starters and soups and everything was so delicious. Cucumber Salad was so nice, as was the strudel and the butternut squash soup. The atmosphere in the restaurant/pottery studio was amazing, and the service was splendid. Will definitely be back next time I’m in London!

Food was excellent but a very busy valentines shift and it took about an hour and a half to get our mains so we had plenty of wine. It was absolutely lovely when we did though!

I’d never been to an organic Hungarian restaurant before, but I was disappointed. Charming and rustic, our host was attentive and knowledgable. The meal highlight had to be the Hungarian trifle, decadent bliss. Worth venturing to New Cross for.

Amazing Hungarian food and great service. The cottage cheese for the cottage cheese dumplings (5kg per week!) are made in house and was really good. There is also some great pottery for sale in the restaurant so you could get some unique crockery whilst you eat Would recommend

It felt so cosy and homey. Loved the interior and vibe. The older man working there was so cute and charmed us. And the food was so delicious. Had the beef stew with homemade noodles (they’re less nodules and more like tiny gnocchi) and the meat was literally melting in my mouth!

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious with a variety o vegetarian options. We stumbled across it by accident and I am delighted we have because we will definitely be back! It is a very cosy and welcoming place worth visiting.

Delicious and Authentic Hungarian Food. Really enjoyed my experience here. I recommend the warm, hearty Goulash soup, and the savoury Hortobágyi Pancake filled with chicken and served with a creamy sour cream and paprika sauce. Finish it off with a nice Tokaji dessert wine or a yummy Somlói Galuska. The food and service was top-notch. Compliments to Szabolcs and the lovely waitress

What a lovely restaurant. As soon as you walk in off the busy Old Kent Road you come into a calm haven, greeted by a friendly Hungarian gentleman. All the china is made by the husband and wife owners - the restaurant doubles as a pottery workshop, with beautiful pottery on display. Tasty Hungarian food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back!
