DO NOT USE THIS PUB. The so called bar manager SHARON overcharged me. She’s a thief and stealing drinks. I ordered a gin and tonic and half cider and blk currant. Whilst I watched her prepare the drinks she also took a vodka out the optic. Left it on the bar near the optics. Overcharged me by £4.00 at least, when I questioned her about the vodka and overpayment she made me wait. I’d caught her out!! I’d check your stocks on Vodka when SHARON is working.

Never again! It could have been a nice stay, but between the nightclub next door, boisterous people constantly ambling through the courtyard below the entire night through to late morning, the nearby noisy food van generator chugging away until 4:30am, early morning garbage collection and truck deliveries right outside our room, we had a torturous night of no sleep. Had we a decent bed, stretches of sleep might have been possible, but both beds were diabolically uncomfortable with springs poking into us through various sagging sections. Room 1 desperately needs new beds. It was clean and staff were nice but sorry, that doesn’t make up for a night of discomfort and no sleep.

Not a bad pub and drinks reasonably priced. One thing they need to do is ban dogs when they have live music. I was in there last night and a inebriated selfish couple had a small dog with them, which was getting in the way of customers. I saw at least three people almost trip over it. Not only is it incredibly anti-social, but it can't be right for a dog to be subjected to such loud music.

The Roman Bath Pub is a great pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to the historic Roman walled city I take. I love the look of this pub ,the interior is very traditional,an island style serving bar ,great decor and furnishings ,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,the most distinctive feature of the pub is the Great Wall art that adorns the walls depicting ancient Roman scenes alluding to the Roman museum in the basement of the pub. We were here on a Monday night,we ordered a bitter each, these were served in pristine condition,we chilled out and took in the great vibe in this busy and popular city centre pub. My bitter was really good ,a crisp, well balanced bitter,in my opinion a much underrated beer style, when served iced cold as in this pub it's such a refreshing brew. We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Roman Bath Pub is easy to locate along St Sampsons Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, open from midday. Friday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Roman Bath Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting whenever I am in York,it's a traditional pub with great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub but to me the two outstanding features of this pub are the wonderful painted scenes on all the walls in this pub and the famous Roman Bath ruins on the basement of this pub from which the pub gets its name. We were here on a roasting hot Saturday afternoon , pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we were greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who poured us a lively cider each, these were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we got a nice table were we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. The cider was outstandingly tasty, freezing cold and very refreshing indeed which was just what we needed on such a really hot day. While sipping our ciders it was noticeable how busy this pub was becoming,a real locals hangout. We really enjoyed our ciders in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Roman Bath Pub is really easy to locate on Sampsons Square in an area teeming with pubs and bars and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. I was honestly surprised by the food. It was a generous portion and it felt like a good home cooked roast. It wasn't amazing by any means, but felt it was really good value for money in a very central location. I really didn't feel like the desert, I was so full.
