A great Pub..and trust me Matt will make it a huge success. Zero rating for food (review written on October 22nd 2024) as the kitchen is not open just quite yet in the evening. Lunch menu looks good!

Haven’t tried the food, but have driven 2 hours with our newborn baby, decided to stop for some lunch, says this pub is open on google, we walk in and we’re told the pub is closed for two weeks! The outside lights are all on, doors open, no signs at all to say it’s closed!! UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE HOURS, it’s very simple

I'm sure it's a very nice pub. Unfortunately I arrived in the pooring rain, only to find it was closed. Well it would be at 3 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon. Better luck next time.

Great small location for lunch . Amazing pub for lunch and great garden outside. People very friendly food ordering very quick and very fast service, tasty and good quality of price. Yes definitely I will be stopping here again. Very friendly staff and very clean location.

A lovely pub. We stopped for some food and the chef did not disappoint. There were a few GF options too, although I had to ask. Portions were huge and the food tasted amazing. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Very reasonable prices too.

Stopped here after a walk in the forest with the dogs. A pint of Asahi on tap and a delicious sandwich served with salad and fries. Very dog friendly and a very welcoming landlord. Will definitely be back

A chance discovery along our itinerary and we are thrilled! Nice service that takes the time to joke, great value for money, delicious food, great atmosphere. Particularly recommended: housemade steak & ale pie!

Kelly met us with a big smile and couldn’t have been nicer. Super helpful and such a positive person. We walked in without a reservation at 7.30pm on a Saturday night and they squeezed us in and we were still able to get some food. The food was fantastic! And reasonably priced. You really should try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped here on the off chance late lunch on Sunday on a trip from Bristol to home in Hampshire down the old A4...nice.surprise, friendly staff, clean and nicely decorated and very very good Sunday Pork Roast. Another Good Honest dependable Fullers public house.

The barman was rude. Arrived with a table booked for 8 friends to find the place under new management and no food being served. No apology given having travelled an hour to meet friends here… appauling service!!

Arrived to find place closed. No warning given. A lovely local explained how staff received text saying boss was going and that's that.

Visited on one of the hottest Saturday's of this year and pub was empty!!!Only Staff member on said there were a handful of customers that had been in that day;such a shame!I see this pub going the same way as The Queens Head Marlborough,run down into the ground by new Landlord and then sold for non licensed residential premises.Same old damaged mismatched furniture and decor,awful outdoor space(unsafe so- called "play area")dirty, unkempt neglected car park, discarded pint glasses in planters, knocked down brick walls, blackboard saying shut.

I’m not sure why this place has good reviews the food was horrific and the restaurant/pub was filthy and dated and lots of clutter that should have been out of sight. I’ve been to most restaurants in and around this area and this was by far the worst

Unsure how a place like this can stay open. Server was nice however asked for a coke and got a pepsi Max. And the food was awful. I dont think i have ever had such horrible food. It was almost embarrassing. And the 10% removable service fee!? What a joke. Ok yeah if the food was 10/10 amazing maybe but i could of made better at home and i cant cook!

Went for a Sunday roast to try and find a local that can become our Sunday pub. Sadly we're still looking. Vegetables over cooked, Yorkshire pudding burned, beef too chewy, potatoes dry and gravy too thin. I know it's not their fault but their outside seating area is pretty ugly and inside is pretty cramped. We will continue to look for a local we can call our own.

1st of all I used FB messager to request a menu from that conversation I reserved a table. Amazing fast communication. On arrival we entered the bar and was shown to our table. We had plenty of space. The food was amazing and they went above and beyond for a special desert for us. The service was perfect and I would highly recommend this pub and can't wait to return.

Exactly how a family lunch should be. Great food, outstanding service and a fantastic genuine atmosphere. This place came highly recommend through friends and we were not disappointed. Can't wait to go back again.

A Fullers pub located half mile from the town centre. Very friendly, immediately greeted by the landlord and regulars on entering. Separate dining area, low beams and an open fire.

Poor menu selection at lunch time. Fish was heavly battered and was cold. Burger looked OK but kids will eat anything. A service charge was added automatically, but it wasn't particularly outstanding.. very disappointjng

Very disappointing meal prebooked group of 9. An hour to get food, which then came in dribs and drabs - variab quality - some excellent some overcooked and tasting fatty.

Lovely evening for our son's 18th birthday with 19 people. The Roebuck helped plan an appropriate menu, arranged a cake and looked after us well.

Met a friend here as a halfway point between London and Cardiff. Super friendly staff and one of the biggest and loveliest roasts I've had in a long time. The staff allowed us to sit and chat for hours which was really appreciated, and then homemade desserts to die for - the Baileys cheesecake was epic! Thank you for such a lovely afternoon!

Been here many times for drinks and on occasion food, and never had a bad meal. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. Lovely and cosy when the fire is going. Good outside area too.

The High Street was packed on New Years Eve so we drove 2 minutes to the pub, parked in the free car park, relaxed and had a lovely bar meal. The two bar staff were both really helpful and friendly:)

It served a purpose to meet family for Christmas. But in saying that will be using it in the future.

Four of us plus baby have just had an absolutely lovely Sunday roast. All fresh and homemade. Delicious starters too. Thank you to the lovely staff.

Just had a very nice lunch at the Roebuck, where we gave always enjoyed good food and service. The open fire was lit and there was a pleasant ambience. The staff all very friendly and helpful. The menu choice was very good and the plentiful food was well prepared and presented and at a reasonable price.Altogother,a very pleasant lunch.

Stopped here for lunch. Reasonable choice of food. The chips were the best I've tasted in a long time. But unfortunately the coffee was tasteless brown water. Staff very friendly.

Lovely atmosphere and great to see a young couple making it work so well.

First , had a very decent and well kept pint of Pride, to accompany tasty steak Ciabatta and fries with salad. Second the landlord whilst low key provided a warm welcome and excellent service. Nice ambience ,nothing flashy/ tasteless and really it was ideal for a place to meet for lunch and a beer. This enterprise deserves to flourish and if more pubs provided this experience ,not so many of them would be closing.

We were exceptionally well looked after when we had lunch here last weekend. We were a difficult party of 10 complete with two elderly parents with limited mobility and one coeliac. The food was excellent with very generous portions. Not all of the plates were empty at the end!. I had gluten free fish and chips (with crushed minted peas) and you would never have known the batter was wheat free. The service was outstanding (I think they specifically got some gluten free beer in for me)! We are well versed in seeking out gluten free places and the Rowbuck was a great success. The tenants are relatively new and if they continue to offer the kind of service that we had then hopefully they will be very successful.

Came with some friends for the Sunday roast. 16 quid a person so a fair amount, but honestly was delicious! Served with full veg including cauliflower cheese and it tasted amazing. Would recommend

Just popped in for lunch on a whim and no regrets. Really friendly and helpful staff, and good quality food - even got my bacon perfectly crispy!

Foods good, but the London Pride can't be beaten!

Sunday lunch menu was rather expensive and not the best bearing in mind the cost. Service was disorganised, with the main Sunday lunch being delivered to our table before serving other tables to come back with our veg. Also told cutlery was being brought to us when it never arrived until we asked again.

We were out for a drive and stopped here for a drink but a drink turned into lunch and it was a good lunch too.

Me and my wife went on date night. We had a nice table and there was lots of place outside if that is what you want. I have lots of choice which is very unusual and they made sure that they told me that my food was cook in a different pan and something that had had wheat in. The food was hand on heart great for both of use. GOOD FISH too.

Having not been to the roebuck for a few years we decided to try again as heard was under new management. I'm glad we did, food was great, such a friendly welcome, it's great to have a pub close to Marlborough with a friendly welcome...

Absolutely appalling. Don't know what has happened to the previous managers but the pub has taken a definite turn for the worse. The return of so many undesirables along with lack of beer, staff disappearing off the bar for a smoke and not even washing...

So happy we found this place when we were staying up at the Postern Hill campsite. The new manager had just taken over, and if these first few days were any indication, it is going to be a great pub. The service was brilliant, friendly and personable. The food was really, really good. Loads of gluten free options, including fish and chips, halloumi and more. The chef is experienced and prepares real food. Thankfully they don't follow the standard Fuller's menu here, so you get real food. Hopefully they get some interesting craft beers and a cask or two on when they get their next delivery! Good luck!

What a fantastic evening we had! The food was superb and the staff couldn't do enough for us - such helpful service and wonderful attention to detail. I cannot recommend them highly enough for any celebration.

Sunday 9th January 2022, My husband and I went for Sunday Lunch at ‘The Robuck’, a very nice rustic pub with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We arrived earlier than expected, and our table was not ready, but they found us a nice table...

The outside doesn't do the pub justice. Very friendly helpful staff. Food was fabulous - Chef very chatty and obviously very proud of his menu. Beer was good. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Open fire. Defo go back

Had a really good couple of hours last night in roebuck good atmosphere plenty of local faces really nice to be part of.

We had a family festive meal on a Sunday. The roasts were to die for and the staff very welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend booking a table by the fire 🔥

We booked a function room for a wake. We checked that it was dog friendly. Having booked for 20 people, when we arrived we were put in a very small area with seating for 12 outside the kitchen with staff serving food having to squeeze past members of out party to deliver food to the rest of the pub. We were also told that the dog could not be in the area because we were outside the kitchens. Rather than being able to talk to each other to share memories of the deceased, we were constantly being moved to allow staff to walk through with food and dirty plates. We talked to the manager who was full of excuses tather than solutions and was of no help whatsoever. We are bitterly disappointed and it made an already sad day worse.
