Lovely pub - Sunday roast was amazing. It also serves the best sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream! As an added bonus the staff are excellent. Definitely recommend.

Lovely pub, we had a delicious meal here as an extended family of 10. We sat in the spacious and airy extended part of the pub at the back which still has plenty of character. Menu is great with plenty of choice and something for everyone. Food was excellent, freshly cooked and quality food. Even the kids chicken goujons were fresh chunky chicken than seemed homemade- kids portions very big too. The adults in our party had the monk fish tacos (special), scampi, venison burger, burger, curry- all delicious. Service was great and friendly too. We’d definitely return if ever in the area again.

We always make sure we visit The Rock Inn for lunch when we’re in North Devon. We visited again earlier this week and enjoyed it that much we went back again today. The quality of food is fantastic and is good value for money, and the landlord is particularly welcoming and obviously customer focused. Thanks to The Rock Inn team, we will be back again (and again!).

Fantastic food at the Rock Inn, what a great place. The crab salad was amazing and such great service, would definitely recommend, just a shame we didn't find it sooner. Fabulous!

Great roast, great service, great toilets. After a long walk this was a superb place to refuel. They even brought out a cake with candles for a birthday, could not fault the experience.

Had a fabulous meal tonight at the rock inn, lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. Our server was very helpful with the menu and went to the kitchen to check on a main dish for me. We had the soup and humous starter, and both had the linguini main, hubby had bolognaise, I had the mushroom, super tasty, piping hot and really delicious. Wine was good too and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. A must if you are in the area but recommend you book

Funeral wake buffet was beautiful and plentiful. Pricey beer but an excellent Guinness. Small car park.

So good, we went back the next day! Stopped in for lunch after a walk with our dog, our friends and their dog whilst on holiday. Lovely old pub, fabulous food, they accommodated us and our dogs. Really friendly staff. Definitely recommended to friends that visit over that way. We even went back the next day as we were walking nearby and wanted to try some of the other menu items!

Fabulous gluten free roast dinner, included all the extras which are usually removed, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Sticky toffee pudding also GF and was amazing.

Just perfect - once in a while you find a restaurant that you wish was near home that you could visit more frequently. The restaurant owner did EVERYTHING to ensure that our meal was exceptional, and that everyone was catered for. The food is 1st class, and the management obviously know the restaurant trade intimately and made sure all the little things were taken care of, just a pleasure to visit - so much so that we had to come back a second night which was equally enjoyable. Until the next time, hope it's not too long. ps. the fish pie is just scrummy

Hidden gem tucked away , very welcoming staff, menu not a lot of choice but what we had was very nice. A little on the pricier side cost £75 for 3 of us just for mains and drinks . However cost aside it’s a lovely little pub and the food is great places like this are hard to find especially staff the guy who greeted us was very friendly and professional.

We are staying in Braunton for a weeks holiday. I can honestly say this is the best pub for food I've been too in my 52 years! Plenty of Gluten Free options and Vegan options. Portions are of a generous size. Staff friendly and the establishment is run by a very professional landlord. We are looking forward to our 3rd visit this week on Sunday.

We decided to visit after a long walk across Woolacombe beach and then up to Georgham. The couple running the pub were very friendly and the menu is varied and fantastic. We had a couple of starters for 3 of us then 3 main meals. I can’t fault any of it. The wine range is fantastic- had a Shiraz and it was delicious. Will visit again and I highly recommend this lovely pub to anyone wanting a hearty and delicious meal.

The Sunday Roast was delicious Great portions very tasty. Friendly staff. Good value. The Lamb cooked perfect 8 veg and cooked to perfection. You will need to book. This pub is a bit of a tardis.

Excellent Sunday lunch served punctually and with all the usual trimmings including a fabulous Yorkshire pudding! Be sure to book in advance as this place is very popular.

We had a fabulous meal there. A few in the party were late due to a broken tractor but staff were not fazed or stressed. Service was prompt and very cheerful. All in a great evening. We were a table of 10 as well so top marks xx

Traditional old pub with great selection of beers and ales and impecable service (10 out of 10 for Daniel, our waiter today). Went there for lunch with friends, the special of the day, mussels, chips and bread was delicious as was the crab salad and the cream soup. All in all a great experience!

I have been here a few times as a couple or with friends and it never disappoints. Extensive wine list, good beer (Exmoor Gold or Tribute) but could have done with a wider zero alcohol beer selection. Perfect succulent squid with Far Eastern flavours of ginger and soy. Duck breast perfect for me since I hate bloody or wet pink meat in the middle but some might think over done. Sticky Toffee pudding is usually a let down and in every dessert menu, but I’ve had this before and it was light, fluffy and not a bit stodgy. Price is undoubtedly at the higher end of the scale but this is food of a high standard cooked by a kitchen team who know how to put terrific flavour on a plate. Service a little over eager at times … hardly sat down before asking if we had made our choice but at least staff were easy to engage with when we needed something. Dog friendly. We will definitely return again even though Georgeham is a bit off the main routes and accessed by some narrow lanes.

Must say this was the best roast I've had in ages and served with a good pint of Otter! Serving sizes were just about right and the side dishes of vegetables were very tasty. Nice atmosphere in the pub but we will book in advance next time.

Great country pub serving good food. Interesting menu. Entering pub, through the bar and it open up like a tardis into spacious light airy tastefully decorated dining room. The are dog friendly for well behaved K9s and if the small car park is full, there's a village free car park just around the corner.

I'd already been recommended this pub by a friend and we were lucky enough to be staying almost next door to it. Both evenings they were booked but managed to fit us in. There's a good choice of beers etc. The staff were friendly and accommodating and it feels like a good old fashioned pub. The food was excellent both nights we were there, with good choice of classic pub and modern restaurant dishes. We loved it.

This place absolutely smashed it after a very long day of walking! Great food, great family vibe, lovely service and dog friendly. Also worth mentioning they had a baby change in the gents - often a rarity in older buildings. Loved the conversation of the ‘rock-out’ section. The decor was spot-on, great posters and footie news in the gents! Was absolutely knackered but would probably have stayed for much longer otherwise!

I was staying in the Ilfracombe area for the weekend at the end of September 2023. I had heard good reports from friends about the Rock Inn at Georgeham and therefore decided to make a 20 mile round trip to visit it. I planned to arrive early, shortly after 11.00 a.m., to read the Sunday papers over a pint, and then to have Sunday lunch there. I checked Google, in order to check their opening times, and discovered that they opened their doors at 11.00 a.m. I duly arrived at 11.05 a.m. and was relieved to see that the pub lighting was on, both inside and outside the pub, and that a board outside the front door stated "bar open all day everyday". On entering the bar, the very unwelcoming barmaid informed me "We don't open till 12". I said that I only wanted to sit down with a pint and that I had made a special journey to visit the pub. She disappeared into the back of the pub and reappeared and said "We can't serve you". This is not hospitality in my opinion and the proprietors of this otherwise pleasant pub should give their bar staff better training in the definition and concept of hospitality. I relocated to a friendlier and more welcoming establishment and will not return to "The Rock Inn".

If you like BBQ ribs, come HUNGRY

Although the food tasted good, what let the meal down was being surrounded by dogs. I get that for dog owners it is great that they are allowed in - but there were 3 dogs on the tables nearby, one kept barking, one was climbing on a table, and one had a decidedly "wet dog" aroma. We left as soon as the meal was finished, not staying for dessert or drinks. Such a shame.

A lovely pub in the middle of Georgeham, selling around five well-kept real ales plus a choice of draught lagers and ciders. Staff were chatty and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The menu had a wide range of options and the food was very good. Wish we'd visited here more often during our stay but we only found it near the end. Next time we will be back!

It looked lovely, the route from Braunton was down long windie lanes, if we went again I would find a more direct route. We did notveat because they do serve food until 5pm, which was fine, but it did not say that on Trip Advisor. So we went back to Braunton to get fish and chips.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the pub owner/manager who managed to accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids on a busy gloomy evening by juggling some tables around. Amazing place with great food and a modern surf vibe. Not your average grand dad style pub with piss-like local bitters (no no disrespect to all of them). Great selection of nice beers, great food and good people around. Parking is a bit small, so people get creative and park as tight as they can. Just want to remember this place and get back here again after another day nearby.

We hadn’t booked and they squeezed us in but nothing was too much trouble and it’s such a hidden gem the back room is gorgeous. Went for a meal here last night. Absolutely delicious. Definitely a cut above your average gastro pub. Would go again for sure. Just note, kitchen closes at 8.30pm, which I felt was a tad early.

Delightful country pub with great food and a wide selection of beers, wines, gins and other drinks. Gets crowded at weekends and on the summer season so booking advisable. We had a meat platter as a starter that could have done as a main for two people and then cod and chips and dressed crab salad. No room for a dessert unfortunately. Good value, friendly and efficient staff. Well worth a visit. The above was all true when we went shortly after lockdown ended but we were a little disappointed when we went yesterday for lunch. The main course had only two meat dishes, the rest were veggie or fish, although there were some burgers on offer. The quality of the food was OK but not the really good flavours we had previously. We had the two meat dishes, a steak and ale pie that my wife said was very salty and I had the pork escalope which was more fried breadcrumbs than pork. Things did look up with the sweets but not enough to prevent downgrading from 5* to 4* in our opinion.

Very very welcoming and accommodating. Difficult to park if you come at it from the wrong direction. Locally sourced produce and generous portions. Highly recommend. Just watch for parking tickets if you park near the church.
