The Riverside Bournemouth in Bournemouth

The food and service in this restaurant is so good that we ate there 3 times during our week’s holiday. The menu is varied and we enjoyed every course we tried. Most impressive though was the service. I have to give a special shout out to Eddie who twice managed to sort out tables at short notice (our party was complicated by including a dog, a wheelchair, and being 7 people) and clearly made the extra effort to accommodate us, even by phoning us back after we’d originally been told there was nothing suitable for us at Sunday lunch. That level of extra effort and professionalism is priceless and we shall definitely be returning on our next visit.

This was an outstanding venue for our meal. We were warmly welcomed by the fantastic Casey, who attended to our every whim. The food and drink was lovely, well cooked and nicely presented. All round, this was an excellent choice and we would definitely make a 2nd visit. Great job to Casey at front of house and to the managerial and chef team in the back. Well done all round.

Busy, great riverside location, good parking, reasonable prices. Easy access for those who require assistance. Efficient friendly staff - Food is varied in choice - presented and cooked well... Can be very noisy at peak times - book a table in the 20's for peace and quiet.

Lovely meal with my wife and great service from our server Casey. We both had the celeriac dish which I would highly recommend.

Came for a meal with the family. Food was delicious. The team were really friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will be coming back !!!

We went for a family Sunday roast. Sadly it was dreadful. The Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and burnt. The potatoes were raw, bad and insipid!! The green vegetables were hard and undercooked. The pork crackling was soft and soggy. We mentioned all of this to the waitress. She apologised. But we were still charged £21.50 for each meal. Even though none of us ate it all because it was awful.

Staff were friendly, lovely fish and chips and we sat by the river in the sun which was gorgeous. Would recommend the Baileys Chocolate Martini, best cocktail I’ve ever had! Shout out to Fred for the super service with a smile!

Absolutely lovely service and very friendly staff, especially Fred who greeted us as we walked in. Sat outside in the garden and enjoyed a lovely trio of roasts, food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Came to Riverside on a horrible rainy day. All staff were welcoming, and they had plenty on, so that they could ve attentive to those on the bar, as well as in the restaurant. Mariette was our waitress for the evening, and she was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, Could have a laugh with us, and kept it a relaxed atmosphere, but there for us whenever we needed. Can't say enough good things about her, except keep her there and you'll bring many more guests through the doors!

Disappointing visit - won’t be returning! Staff don’t know what’s going on and one of the waitresses was particularly verbally aggressive. There needs to be a manager present who is experienced in dealing with customers….so very poor! Many other better places in the locality - staff just don’t care.

A Sunday lunch with great food, a relaxed atmosphere for couples and families, the one thing that stood out was the happy attitude of the staff. Our server was Eddie who was just delightful, helpful, and funny. It is so nice to find hospitality staff who enjoy there work and work well together as a team. We had a a great time and will return. a shout out to the whole team, both front of house and in the kitchens. You did good!

Never disappointed . The food is always amazing . We love coming here when we travel towards Bournemouth. The starters are a good size and mains will definitely fill you up
