Popped in as I was passing one weekday afternoon. Pleasant staff. Nice atmosphere. I didn’t eat that time but will go back. Was perfectly comfortable as a lone woman.

The best value for money in Dorset . Second to none it’s absolute value for money . Excellent food I highly highly recommend especially the daily deal .. great service from the bar staff especially Rachel . Would I visit again YES I come here all the time . Thank you everyone at the Brunswick

Having become quite a regular for lunches recently, you'd be hard pushed to find such good value for money and delicious food anywhere. It's always hot, fresh and tasty. The staff are efficient, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff at the Brunswick.

Very happy with the food, all hot, the hunters chicken was nice and moist not overcooked. The service was great too, food didn’t take too long and the bar staff were very friendly

It could be an amazing place if it had some time spent on it, went to a baby shower here today and I was shocked that it was £100 for the back room to be rented out when it was so run down, with a small bar covered in sticky stuff and old, mouldy lemon slices, it was used to store broken tables and a dusty old fridge, couldn’t even be bothered to tidy up before letting someone rent it out. Ivy had poked its way through the windows and taking over the ceiling, the toilets had such a foal smell before you even entered them. I was truly saddened that the host had spent so much money on a room that was not worth £100 and felt she was ripped off BIG TIME! Lady behind the bar wasn’t much friendly and made me feel like I shouldn’t have been there. 2 stars is purely because tall guy working there couldn’t have helped us enough when we asked for music and a bin bag.

Enjoyed a tasty Sunday lunch. A little quieter than usual due to the weather. Tony and the team did a great job of making us feel welcome

Food is amazing for the price , I had the steak that was really nice quality and nice portion size and beat it and staff are always nice and friendly , would highly recommend if you live nearby or are in the area and looking for a nice evening out and great priced food

I recently visited a small local pub and had a fantastic experience. The service was absolutely great, with staff who were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly. Visité a alguna familia para Navidad e hice un viaje aquí para una buena comida y ciertamente no estaba decepcionado. El personal era muy amable y muy bueno con los niños. Una de las comidas que elegimos fue una lasaña y tenía que ser una de las mejores lasañas que he probado. ¡Tanto sabor! Sin duda volveremos a visitar: )

Always a good time up the Brunnie, eh?

Very relaxing couple of hours spent here during Sunday lunchtime (Sun 24/11). Very good service. Venue very respectable, clean & tidy. Gents toilets also very clean, but desperately need a refurb (this is a long-standing issue and is no fault of the current management, who are attempting to keep them clean and serviceable). Did not try food, but Sunday Roasts now available again (after briefly being stopped), but not advertised on main menu. Punters seeking Sunday Roasts should enquire at the bar, or phone beforehand for clarification. On the occasion of this visit - all good.

Lovely warm friendly pub. Had the Wednesday burger special £5 with fries and onion rings £1 extra for second patty. Washed down by a large flat white coffee. Service was friendly and efficient. Thank you.

Good service. Great selection of draught beer. Everything from pool to slot / gambling machines and a nice bunch of locals. Good sized beer garden with heaters and TV’s outside.

Fabuloso lugar. Un gran lugar que vale la pena hacer el esfuerzo de encontrar, el menú es muy variado y tiene que ser uno de los mejores valores de la ciudad. Los anfitriones son muy amables y acogedores y el bar y el comedor son muy cómodos. Amplio aparcamiento en las carreteras circundantes. Hazle una visita a este lugar, no te decepcionará.

I have been frequenting the Brunswick Hotel for the last two years and am now happy to call it my local place of choice. Having moved to the area and knowing nobody, I soon became welcome. This is very much a warm friendly family pub. It caters for all ages and interests. Dog friendly yet not overpowering. It has a great selection of ales, lagers and wines. The food selection is vast, fresh and professionally cooked and delivered. Always reaching a constant level of perfection. I’ve never had cause to complain and I find it to be of good value for money. I have always found the staff to be pleasant and accommodating. The pub is always kept clean and fresh. All thanks to the way it is run by the landlords Tony and Vanessa

Good atmosphere and quality of service

The Brunswick is a very good pub offering excellent real ales, largers and wines. The food is very good, competitively priced, tasty, hot and well worth trying. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable - the pub has a friendly welcoming atmosphere! I've been eating/drinking here 4-5 times a week since I moved into Charminster about 16 months ago. The pub is warm, clean and comfortable and easy to locate. I rarely go anywhere else as some of the other pubs in Charminster more expensive and the beers not well kept. I recommend The Brunswick without reservation - you'll enjoy your visit as everything is very good and I rate it 5 out of 5!

What a quality pub. Good selection of drinks, and made to feel welcome by the friendly staff. They do some lovely food aswell. Will definitely be going back.

Went to the Brunswick in charminster the others day for a quick drink haven’t been there into a while.would just like to post that the staff were very pleasant and the food was excellent .well done

A delight to see this local under recent new management of Tony (or is it Toby?) and his wife. Much friendlier and better quality of food. I immediately felt welcomed by Tony and his staff. They seem to understand - unlike other pubs - that a warm welcome counts for a lot these days. Well done and good luck. First impressions = great! Adrian.

First time trying the Brunswick and we weren’t disappointed! Lovely Sunday dinner - beef or turkey, with everything you expect for a Sunday dinner. Big plates full! Two meals and two drinks, and change from a £20 note! I would suggested loose waistband trousers as you’ll then have room for pudding! Quick service and hot food. Lovely.

I went into this bar as a 36 year old man and got served a drink at the bar. I went on the fruit machine and was asked to prove I was old enough even though I’d been served at the bar and nothing was said. If you’re going to serve someone a drink and you unsure how old they are ask for there that’s what your licence is for! I had ID with me just a joke how he approached me I clearly look older than 18 too I mean am twice the legal age!

Excellent, reasonably priced food. Great service. Very friendly. Had excellent deals Monday-Saturday- two courses for £12.99. A perfectly palatable bottle of wine was £14.

Regularly come to The Brunswick as it is my local. All the bar staff are lovely and can't do enough for you. Had a burger today as its burger day, was fantastic and only £5

What a lovely pub, tucked away in a lil back street road of Charminster. Always had great service here and since the new landlords have come the place has seem to gotten even better! All the bar staff are friendly, polite and approachable - especially Klyie or is it Kyle 🤔 top lad none the less! The food is excellent! Never had such well cooked food at such a reasonable price! They are more than accommodating for kids and dogs which is great considering I have one of each Bonus if your in early enough the first game of pool is also free!

I asked very politely if it could be topped up to which she gave me the dirtiest look and barked back that it was my own fault for not drinking it straight away.(I simply let it sit until it had settled. She did top it up eventually, which I talked her and said it was perfect...again for her to bark back that it was perfect the first time. Talking to a few locals, it's clear that she very mush disliked there by the punters. Avoid this place when she's working.

Brilliant place to visit been numerous times and good friendly atmosphere

Spent two nights in this busy lively pub and had amazing food, great service and met the landlord Mr Tony Day who went out of his way to ensure our group had an amazing time. We had dinner on Vrifay night and came back for football on the Saturday lunchtime and stayed and played pool and darts! Highly recommended.

Fantastic establishment, nothing too much trouble and good was excellent, highly recommended. The host Tony, was very helpful for information on the local area. Just a shame he was an Arsenal fan !

arrived just after 3 to be told kitchen is closed for an hour - no signs to say this anywhere. Only told once going to order at the bar. Then ordered food when it opened at 4 to be told 45 minutes later that they had now ‘run out.’ very poor service, would not recommend.

Nice pub good food and friendly staff

Football was on the TV and was turned up too loud for us, although it wasn't enough of an issue for us to ask if there was a quieter table and wouldn't stop us from returning. Food was hot and tasty, served quickly by Jo who is a delight.

It's a shame that Green King are not investing in this pub more, it's very rundown on the outside the toilets especially the men's are way below standard. The staff do try and make it nice inside but there is only so much you can do. I've not had food here although I've seen some plates come out and they look nice enough.

Don't be put off by 'White Van Man'. Food and service was excellent. Shame some of the local lager louts we were forced to sit amongst were unable to string more than a few words of English together without using the 'f' word.

We had the wake for my sister in the hall. The staff were really nice and friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! Great variety, everyone said how they loved it, especially the sausage rolls. I would thoroughly recommend this place for any occasion.

I think that as a pub the Brunswick does well. It isn't a fine dining establishment so you need to take it for what it is. And what it is and what it is does, it does very well.

Great Saturday afternoon family meal for a birthday will definitely be back again.

As someone who lives a stones throw from this pub but rarely went in , I have to give massive credit to the new management who've turned it around. Absolutely everything is better now - the food is well prepared, the beer is kept better, the staff are eager to please and it's now a pleasure to visit.

The Brunswick seems to have improved lately but the toilets are still discussing with wet floors and a sign to warn you not to slip that has been in place for 5 years.

I went into the pub and i sat down but as i was black most of the customers were racist and told me to go back to my country. I immediately left because i dont want to go through that. Definitely not coming back

I hired the attirum in the pub for my baby shower and it did not disappoint. Such a great space, we had over 40 guests. The room was light and had so many facilities in it. The pub were so flexible with allowing us to do what we wanted and create my dream day! Thank you so much to everyone. ❤️ Also, side note the night before I hurt my foot whilst setting up (purely an accident, I tripped over a table being 8months pregnant by balance is off) and the staff were so helpful got me ice straight away and helped me with water and anything I needed. Very attentive

Wow! What can I say about this place. The food is lovely - we had a Sunday roast and at the price it's amazing value for money. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming - seen a a massive improvement since the new management took over. Tony was incredibly accommodating to me and my fussy toddler. The atmosphere here was so upbeat. Highly recommend - will definitely be returning

By far the best place in bournemouth. The food is incredibly good. The lotus cheesecake is world class. The ambience is great. It offers a good variety of seating options. And everything is very lovingly designed. Brunnswick is a must see if you live here or are just visiting.
