My freinds and I enjoyed a very nice meal from the set menu. good choice of mains, as much salad as liked for starter and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch

Meal was excellent & our waitress was Lydia & made sure we were happy with everything. Thank you Lydia. I recommend The Rising Sun we go there alot.

Went for dinner New Year’s Day with family. Very busy but the server was brilliant, attentive, friendly and very apologetic when explaining the ice cream delivery had not turned up. Keep up the good work Emma G Should state on the app that the free soft drink does not include the refillable version more prominently.

Amazing food and quality service by Alison

Alison was wonderful really made us feel very welcome. Food came quickly, no issues with orders and Alison was very attentive through out.

The waitress, Emma G was very polite and welcoming, great service and food came out very quickly. Had to wait quite some time for the bill and then to pay but apart from that good experience overall. Also great when preparing and bringing out the birthday cake. Provided us with everything we asked for.

Eggs were done nice sausages weren’t not so good a bit burnt Will go back and give it another chance that the chef who cooked the eggs the whole breakfast

We were served by Kathy this evening and her service was top notch, she was extremely busy but still super attentive. The food was great, good portion size and served in a timely manner. We were out for our annual family Christmas meal and Kathy made our night; we hope she has a wonderful Christmas!

Booked a table for 4 people. Tried to add a child to the end of the table and they point blank refused. But we could sit in the bar area and move 2 tables. Joke of a place

Had an awful experience at The Copperfield, Gravesend, last minute ended up at The Rising Sun, warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, waiter was friendly and evident. Food was excellent and plentiful. Will definitely be returning.

Food wasn't great , haven't been to harvester for a few years so was looking forward to it , Just over cooked really seemed it had been left a while , Service was good , staff attentive and friendly Manger was lovely lady , my toddler was unwell during our meal and was sick at the table which wasn't ideal , I cleaned up the mess immediately and the manger caught wind and came over with her gloves and cleaning sprays and offered us a fresh table , we declined as didn't feel the Need to mess up another table but was nice to have the offer ,

Food was good but main meals served on what can only be described as rectangle shaped side plates, not big enough to rest your cutlery and eat your main meal on with ease. Also plates were hot and came without any warning when served so hot.

Our favourite Harvester till this evening. Food served up cold, was exchanged. Ribs tasteless, jacket potato too small, hard skin and hardly any potsto. Reallly disappointing meal. We won’t be returning for a while.

Customer service was good, food quality could do with some attention… Food was served only lukewarm, had a massive roast dinner but all you supply is an egg cup full of gravy!

highly enjoyable lunch at the Rising Sun Dartford today My wife chose the new festive menu and chose baked mushrooms as starter and Christmas turkey dinner for main meal. Both dishes were very tasty and well-prepared. I had full rack of ribs which was excellent. we both enjoyed a bowl of top class salads from the Salad Bar. excellent service from Wendy and Lydia who made us very welcome in this comfortable restaurant.

Staff were accommodating and polite and so so helpful. Brilliant harvester. Now our new go to date night.

I visited for a lovely meal which was great, shannon our waitress was very attentive. We grabbed a drink before hand from bar maid brooke who was very efficient and smily. Thank you very much

We had a lovely, but werid experience tonight! Myself two kids, my two cousins and partner an mum came for dinner was seated and was told our water would be Kathy! She never came over to the table we had been sitting at this point for over 20 minutes still no drinks or salad bowls. So I asked another young lady. Called" Darcey " for our bowls and drinks she was happy to help! Even then carried on to waiter us threw out our time here! She was Brillant! When it came to paying the bill Kathy disided to appear and take payment! I wasn't happy to leave a tip as she did none of the work l. So I found Darcey thanked her for all her help and gave her a tip for her help! She was amazing and we wasn't even in her section! Was Brillant service from Darcey! Couldn't say the same for Kathy!

Had a pleasant experience on Sunday. Food was of a good standard and notably Emma G was very polite and friendly at making our lunch experience memorable.

Came for dinner, group of 10 of us, Shannon did really well serving us, couldn't fault her in any way, she was patient and knew the menu well to answer any questions we had. Food was great, skewers could be on a bigger plate was the only possible negative, the small skinny plate doesn't really work that well.

I turned up to order some food TWO hours before closing. They was all packed up and shut. Just because their last booking was at 9:30 they took that as an insentive to close the restaurant and go home. Are they not payed to serve customers? Especially when it’s TWO HOURS BEFORE CLOSING I am SO ANGRY. And it still says it’s open now SORT IT OUT.

Superb service by Shannon who was incredible managing multiple tables and still super attentive. Rib eye steak was ace and salad bar was clean, fresh and plentiful. Drinks served promptly. Really busy for a Monday night! Great value and easy relaxed dining

Popped in on the off chance. Got table straight away. Service was good, promp drink and taking my food order. The waitress Lydia was helpful to select my order and particularly side dish. I enjoyed my meal which came at a reasonable price in these current times

Service quite disorganised and disjointed, however was busy food was ok smaller portions than usual on the combo meal

We ate here this evening and the food as usual was excellent. Our server Lee was also brilliant, despite being extremely busy he attended to our table promptly with a smile

The menu had something on for everyone, we had meat eaters and vegans on our table and they were all pleased with their food.

Excellent place for lunch! The menu has lots of different options (all sounding delicious), and every main meal comes with unlimited salad from their salad bar (which is also super varied and good tbh). The desserts we had were delicious too and Alison did an awesome job serving us. Looking forward to coming back!

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at the Rising Sun Harvester in Dartford with my family, something we do occasionally. It was my first time at a Harvester, and I was initially a bit sceptical as I'd heard mixed reviews. The visit carried additional weight as I was accompanied by my uncle Vernon, who has a severe bowel condition and is also wheelchair-bound due to his declining health in recent years. We were concerned about the accessibility and seating arrangements for him. From the moment we arrived, Christine greeted us warmly, immediately easing my worries. She thoughtfully helped wheel Vernon to a table near both the salad bar and the toilets, which was crucial given his condition. Throughout the evening, she made sure to offer extra care and attention, even assisting Vernon with some words on the menu he struggled to read. Despite the restaurant being busy, Christine’s attentiveness made the experience relaxed and enjoyable for all of us. It was a truly lovely evening, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making it such a positive experience, especially for Vernon.

They charge too much for the small portions they serve. I still like harvester... But now the price is slowly putting me off

I’m not someone that usually takes the time to review restaurants however this afternoon I had an extremely pleasant experience at the rising Sun harvester. First of all the accessibility options and staff help when accommodating for my son Cameron, he has both allergy and disability needs that need attention. Christine went above and beyond help us arrange a large suitable table in the outside seating area for Cameron to enjoy the last of the summer weather. As well as accommodating us and all of the family, she also suggested the chicken Tuesday offer for £8 which Cameron loved. Christine even offered to fill up Cameron salad bowl. With pasta and his red devil sauce. All in all the entire experience was extremely easy and I will be returning soon with the whole family! Thanks again Christine.

We used to come here quite regularly but hadn’t been in a while and we were so impressed with the service we received today. From our greeting at the door to our server Emma G, everyone was so friendly. Emma was so approachable and nothing was too much to ask so thank you for a fab Sunday dining experience.

We didn't have a reservation just walked in, we wasn't turned away staff showed us to our seats. Lovely, clean, delicious food, I had the chicken in a bun and chips, absolutely gorgeous, £8 , well worth it. Ideal for families and everyone, welcoming atmosphere, staff are professional and friendly and always smiling, we were served by Darcey, lovely lady, friendly, professional,always smiling 😊. Will definitely eat there again. Thank you.
