Browns Bar & Brasserie Bluewater in Dartford

Had a fantastic full English breakfast with great service from Jess. Only minor negative comment would be that the orange juice was clearly a very cheap make (watery & bit warm!) but the sausages & eggs were lush!

We had dinner here on a Friday evening after some early evening Bluewater shopping. It was the first time that we had visited and the experience was great! Our server was very attentive, even though the place was very busy. I have some mild allergies to citrus fruits and there was an excellent procedure for logging this via a tablet brought to our table - no fuss, just a very professional way to handle customer allergies. My fillet steak and sweet potato fries were excellent - the steak was cooked perfectly as I had requested - pink with no blood. My partner's pan-fried sea bass & chorizo risotto was also cooked and presented perfectly. I enrolled on the Browns app and the server was very helpful with getting a glass of Moet champagne free. The Browns app definitely is worth downloading - with so many offers available for when you visit! A lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with tables not too close together. We will definitely be returning!

I booked a table for drinks but on the reservation had requested a low table but we got seated on a high one. The previous few times we have been here for drinks they have done table service but this time they didn’t. I also wasn’t keen on the reflective table we were sat at…. You can either see your own reflection or the reflection of the rubbish celing! However the drinks were really nice, the place has a nice atmosphere and is clean!

I visited here with my 5 year old son and father, after my son did wall climbing at Gravity nearby. I’ve never been her before, but my father wanted to treat us to brunch after my son’s first wall climb and he heard this place can cater for gluten free diets. I’m both gluten and dairy free, for allergy reasons. I was first pleased so see a good selection of options for gluten free breakfast, it wasn’t just one or two items. We got seated fairly quickly and orders were taken fine too. I asked what on the gluten free breakfast menu was also dairy free, and they came back with a tablet that notes allergens. The only item that came naturally without dairy was steak, but that’s too heavy for brekkie personally. So I asked for a modified full English: removing mushroom, tomato and butter, with eggs poached too. For my son we ordered him pancakes with fruit, and my father had scrambled egg with extras such as bacon. Our food took a while to come (it wasn’t too busy but there were quite a few families there) but we were all happy with the meal. My son inhaled his pancakes, including all the fruit, and loved dipping them all in the syrup that came in a separate pot. My dad enjoyed his food, ate it quick too. Mine came last due to cooking separately; bacon was lovely and crispy, the poached egg was a bit heavy on the vinegar and toast was a bit dry but dipping it into the egg yoke solved that. Drinks wise my son had apple and mango juice, I had Green tea and dad ha English breakfast tea. The tea pots were both very big, very generous on servings. Overall this was a lovely brunch experience! Due to the staff being attentive and caring when it came to my allergies, I felt safe to eat here and would absolutely come back in the future. I’m sure my son would love another round of pancakes too!

Really enjoyed our visit. We had a few multi purpose gift cards to use from Xmas so decided to go to Browns. Living locally, I kind of take Bluewater for granted but we are lucky to have it. Browns has a great menu. A few items were sold out but this did but affect us. Lamb rack was superb, side of stem broccoli with fine nuts was surprisingly simple but very good. The Mrs had a pulled lamb shepherds pie but she’ll soon get an appointment for that. The Altos based cocktail was excellent and the Mrs loved her pineapple spritz. We are still hunting for the honeycomb in the ice cream that came with the pretty standard brownie. We suspect a vanilla scoop infiltrated the lesser know honeycomb. I had the poached pineapple which was very refreshing. Dominka, our Waitress, was very polite, helpful and her service was great. We’ll be back without vouchers for sure! Cheers Browns!

We arrived and immediately greeted and shown to our table. Our waiter Konrad was amazing from the minute we sat to the minute we left. Such a great service and personality which just made our experience even more special. He took our food order and considering we all had fillet steak, he didn’t write anything down and memorised every persons requests on how they wanted their steak cooked, what sauce they wanted (or not) and what sort of fries with each dish. He opened and poured our Moet champagne which was so nice, garnished with fresh strawberries and frequently returned to our table to top our glasses up for us. The food was insanely delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection, we had scallops also which were sooooo good. For desert 3 of us had salted caramel profiteroles with ice cream and one had apple and blackberry crumble. Again all of which were delicious. We sent our compliments to the chef (Kevin) but we were lucky enough to thank him personally at the end of the evening at the bar. Konrad, our waiter, was such a good sport. When we arrived we asked for a kids menu as 2 of us have had bariatric surgery and so we are only able to each smaller portions, although in the end we shared an adults main. He was more than accommodating and we jested about having colouring crayons too, he bought us a kids picture and pot of crayons to colour with. Which we each participated in completing and had a laugh doing so. Just made the experience so much fun. Finally, the reason for our visit was to celebrate the fact that our friend had beaten cancer and as a gesture of kindness, Konrad had the kitchen create a plate which said “congratulations” and beautifully decorated with fruits and flowers. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening with friends, laughter, fabulous food and amazing service. Thank you to all at Browns Bluewater on the evening of the 8th March 2024, but specifically to Konrad and Kevin. We really appreciate you and all you do.

Really disappointing visit to Browns this morning.. went for brunch with some friends. Ordered the vegan breakfast - it came with baked beans(which was not on the menu) and no scrambled tofu. The waiter took it back and brought it back with what can only be described as a packet of silken tofu mushed up, mixed with a bit of wilted spinach and barely warmed - inedible. If you Google scrambled tofu there are some gorgeous recipes which involve frying it with nutritional yeast, salt, garlic and spring onions - delicious. This was not, so disappointing. To be fair, the customer service was very good and they brought me out mashed avo on toast instead. But what looked on paper to be lovely was an inedible meal. I would suggest that the food manager at Browns looks at their vegan options again.

Booked a table for afternoon tea, when we got there they advised it’s only between 3-5. I’d booked for 11.45. Didn’t mention on the website. But the staff were so accommodating and we were able to have our afternoon tea, it was a special occasion...

Browns is a lovely restaurant. Great atmosphere. Spacious seating which I think is important when sitting with family and friends eating a meal. Gentle music. The staff cannot do more for you, and are super friendly and approachable. I often visit a Browns restaurant as the food selection is amazing, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend, and would always suggest Browns as a place to eat and or drink to all my family and friends.

Enjoyed our girls Afternoon tea at Brown's. Staff so friendly, the food was excellent. Service from Lennie was very good, attentive but not over the top. She even had a conversation with my 10 month old great grand daughter. Will be back to try out the lunch menu soon.

Sunday lunch of roast beef £18.90 Found Browns in Bluewater by mistake as I was charging my car. I saw the Sunday Roast advertised and thought I would try it. I was very pleased I did. The restaurant is stunning with a very calm atmosphere. I have pictured the food I received. The beef was tender not stringy with little fat. Roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding was light and not greasy. Roast parsnip, greens and runner beans. A generous side of gravy. Thoroughly enjoyable and attentive service. With a pot of Earl grey tea and service charge the total was £26.25. Very good value for the quality of food and the service. I will be a regular!!!
