Excellent service, excellent food and a good venue

My wife came here with a friend recently, suggested we came as they had a good breakfast deal, so we did. Service was good, no complaints there. We both got the breakfast deal, she the French toast and I the egg and bean stew. Her toast had been waiting for a while as not only did it seem sunken, but the Chantilly had all but melted. One of the strawberries was quite unripe. But it was otherwise pleasant, albeit better the previous time she came. The egg in my stew was under, which in retrospect I probably should have sent back but couldn't be bothered, and it won't kill me. Simultaneously the dish was molten hot. It was really tasty, the sausages were fantastic. The deal itself was a hot breakfast, hot drink and a juice, which was good value for money. The was a service charge (10%), maybe I should have had it taken off but the servers were nice.

Can we just take a moment to thank the amazing Peter for his service tonight. The night was just superb and his attitude and dedication made all the difference. From the moment he came to the table he smiled and showed us great warmth. He kept checking on us and nothing was too much trouble for him. We really didn’t want to leave and even offered to do the washing up to stay talking to him some more. Peter if you see this (management please show him) deeply Thank You.. Thoroughly enjoy visiting Cote, especially for breakfast. I have visited on several occasions and have never been disappointed. I have recommended Cote to friends.

Table of 4. Although we had a lovely breakfast I was disappointed that the Eggs Benedict was not served on an English muffin as advertised! One of our party has a stoma (cannot eat seeds and nuts) and the eggs Benedict was served on seeded sourdough, the problem was we didn’t notice the seeds until he had taken a mouthful! When I made the waitress aware she couldn’t have been more apologetic as the kitchen staff hadn’t notified her. We like this restaurant but feel a little let down by the kitchen staff.

Just thoroughly enjoyed a lovely three course lunch at Cote Bluewater. We were made to feel very welcome right from the beginning, given a lovely table and our waitress Vendula couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and efficient. We will be back!

Met a friend for breakfast here. Had a beautifully cooked traditional breakfast with the choice of how you wanted your eggs served. The stand out for me though was our waitress. I don't as a rule remember my servers names but my waitess was called vendula and I must say, what a credit to the company she is. Very professional, hilariously funny and has made me want a return visit.

Fist time here will definately be back.

I’ve been to this cote before and honestly the service was good. But I came here on the 5th of January and the service was very unbelievably slow. We waited around 40 minutes for our main course to come ( which we had to ask them about) and even bringing our drinks took them forever. I’m not sure if it was just a bad day or this is the new normal but whatever it is they need to fix it asap! Overall, we didn’t enjoy our meal experience.

We got the sharer roast chicken dinner and we're not impressed with it. The chicken was good, but the potatoes were hash browns and the gravy pot was tiny - when we asked for more gravy they charged us nearly £3 for another tiny pot. Also I was not impressed with the vegetable selection and surprised that there were no carrots or peas. Really poor for a sharer roast for over £50. You would have a better meal if you order the single chicken meal each rather than the sharer. We also got a camembert to share and there was barely enough cheese for one person.

Good food, decent prices, outstanding service from our server....

We had breakfast and cocktails here (don't judge us, we were Christmas shopping in Bluewater after all!). The food was lovely, my eggs cooked to perfection. Our waitress was knowledgeable, pointing out specials and the best way to order to reduce our final bill. I will go here again.

Very expensive..£312 for 5 with only a bottle of wine and 2 beers. Food was OK but nothing to shout about. Probably why it wasn't busy. Won't be back.

Had a lovely breakfast with a friend today. That was a perfect stop between Christmas shopping. Warm atmosphere, delicious eggs benedict and crossaints and youghurt with berries. Nice staff, got us extra honey for youghurt:) and topped with mimosa cocktails:)

Myself and a friend had a brunch and it was lovely, im very fussy and the food was perfect, great food and a great atmosphere, I will definatly be going back soon.

Visited Cote for breakfast on 07/12/2024, unfortunately we were quite dissatisfied with the food, however the “breakfast complet” was very good value. I ordered the Côte Breakfast, food arrived in decent time and staff were polite and efficient. Toast arrived cold as well as the bacon. I was also disappointed to find they have changed their breakfast potato option again rather than reinstating the original potato rosti. I was also dissatisfied to find they have changed their orange juice as their previous product was far better than what was served for breakfast on our visit. Overall food wasn’t great but price and service was very good.

Today, I visited Cote Blue Water at 4:45 approx and ordered a steak for myself and my wife. We waited nearly an hour for our steaks, well before dinner time. To our disappointment, the steaks were served lukewarm and unappetizing. They were only two medium-rare steaks, with just two leaves of parsley and a white empty plate. Zero presentation. When I cut into the steak, I discovered that it was cooked rare, despite being ordered medium-rare. I called the waiter and requested a return of the steak, but he refused to apologize. By that time, my wife had finished her steak, and I was left waiting for another steak. It took another 15 minutes for them to cook another single steak. It was absurdly slow, and I couldn’t understand why it took so long. Frustrated and confused, I asked for the bill and requested that they take the second replacement steak back too since I lost my appetite. To our astonishment, they charged me the full service charge! This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The management was incompetent, the chefs were terrible, and they didn’t offer any apology or compensation. I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed, only to have chips for dinner. I will never be returning to Cote Blue Water. Avoid this place at all costs. By the way, my bill was £57.00 for my wife’s steak and 2 meals for my kids. I ate nothing, what a waste of money.

Great choice od menu - either Christmas menu, a la carte or choice of two/three courses for set price. Food always good and good value. Service was excellent. Have been lots of times & will go again.

Been to Cote many times , esp this branch but this time V disappointed with their vegetarian option on the Prix fixe menu-a slightly warm, small! uninspiring pumpkin soup then mushroom cassoulet, an ordinary tomato sauce with haricot beans topped with very unappetising fable mushrooms-both served with sourdough toast which I like but not for both courses.

We had dinner in this restaurant and the meat was excellent with respect to the cooking required. Too bad the waiting time was too long and the plate is not heated, so it quickly gets cold. The white wine was very good too and the staff friendly. But as we knew almost all the other restaurants in the gallery, we still had the English breakfast the next day (also had to wait so long that when it arrived our coffees were cold) and we still had lunch too before leaving because it's the best restaurant you can find in BLUEWATER.

They had changed their breakfast and I hadn't heard a person be a fan of it. Now gone back to the original, good decision. Our only other beef is the tables for 2 are tiny. Once you have teapots, water bottles then the plates, you end up playing crockery jenga, which is quite entertaining in itself.

Came in for breakfast on a Sunday, and pre-booked. Was seated straight away and about 5 minutes to order drinks. Took another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. Took about 20 minutes to get our food which was nothing fancy. My husband ordered the normal breakfast with poached eggs....eggs had such a foul taste of vinegar to them. Definitely overdid it in the water. I ordered the french toast with berries and honestly the toppings were so miniscule it was quite disappointing. Our plates were cleared pretty much as soon as we finished but had to wait forever to get a bill. 10 minutes later was still waiting to pay. It wasn't even that busy. Honestly such a disappointment and really wouldn't go back.

It's rare these days to find a restaurant team that consistently delivers, but the staff at Cote Bluewater are without exception an absolute delight! Service is swift and efficient, and the menu is solid. No need to change the weekly arrangement! Bravo.

Had a lovely meal at Côte in Bluewater. The beef steak was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavour. My child really enjoyed the burger from the kids' menu – it was just the right size and really tasty. The garlic bread was a great start to the meal, crispy and full of garlic goodness. To top it all off, the dessert was amazing and felt really special – the perfect end to the meal. The mojito was refreshing and well-balanced. The service was excellent – our server she was polite, professional, and attentive throughout. I really recommend this place; it’s a must-visit!

Lovely atmosphere and staff were good. Prices were a bit expensive and frustrating that for dry chicken you are expected to pay £3 extra for sauce. Toilets were a little disappointing and needed a lot of TLC. Staff were so friendly and overall a good meal.

We had a lovely meal for our anniversary last night made all the more special by Vendula our waitress. Nothing was too much trouble for her, so efficient and cheerful. A complete powerhouse! I have many food allergies, and it is usually not easy to choose a suitable dish from the menu. The waitress was very kind and explained everything clearly, helping me with my selection. She worked with the chef to adjust the ingredients specifically for me and was always happy to assist. My father and I were very pleased and decided to come back again even after we ordered drinks and food. It was an excellent experience!

You made our afternoon so pleasant with your hospitality skills and manners and the fuss you made of us despite it being busy in the restaurant. Even when I had such a fussy friend when he eats out you were so accommodating. Been to many restaurants in my lifetime hundreds if not thousands but this waiter in Cote Bluewater is out of a top fine hotel. The only other place I saw such high polite and warm hospitality skills was in Beverly Hills, California. As for the Italian Manager , you are so polite and incredible with a HEART OF GOLD. The running of the restaurant is what it is because of you my dear and thank you for being you. Your both truly special. The food was truly incredible and mouth watering. The soup, sea bass and cheeseboard out of this world. Even the butter and bread so tasty and everything that was served so well presented. We will be back but returning hopefully next week. I also researched to find out this restaurant is not Jewish owned so If like me you are currently boycotting Jewish and Israeli businesses due to the genocide , this restaurant is not on the boycott list. I like the chain, and I am a regular customer, but I think there is weak management here. Every time I try to reserve a table outside (we all know we have only a few weeks in the year to enjoy the sun), I am refused because there is not enough staff. This way, the restaurant incurs losses, and the customer does not receive the best service.The management should be aware of this and take the necessary steps to avoid it, because this way the customer is always disappointed. The food is delicious, though.

A year ago I gave 5 stars to this restaurant, I was invited for father's days dinner and I have to say it was the biggest disappointment, I love stake none available, so I end up order chicken and I was told lucky you is last one , how the he'll restaurant can run out of the food and quality of food drops down , is no go for me , shame was quality restaurant

Came out for a date night with the husband and from the pre dinner drinks to the bill the experience was fantastic the waitress that looked after us was friendly and professional at the same time. Food was fab we will definitely come back.

We come here a few times now, never have a bad meal. From starter, mains and deserts always spot on. Come in good times too. My husband particularly loves the pork belly.

It was my mother-in-laws birthday and we came here with the family to have breakfast Although I came here late, I was able to have a Cappuccino, and relaxed for about 30 minutes. The staff were approachable and pleasant. The toilets were clean and smelt reasonably well.

2 course lunch time menu is great value. It's a shame that both starter and main course was far too salty (white bait starter and Sea bass mains).

I’m usually a regular for breakfast mid week at this Côte (which Ive never had a problem with) but I have been for lunch here twice in 2 weeks and it’s not been up to scratch. The first time my friend and I were waiting around 45 minutes + for our food. I had to ask the manager what was happening as we thought we had been forgotten as we sat outside. Yesterday we came as a family. My husband ordered chateau briand which came out cold, it had clearly been sitting on the side a while waiting for the rest of our order. All chips were cold. My son’s steak frites arrived cold. I had the fish stew which was very warm and delicious. We complained about the chateau briand, the manager did offer to warm it up 😂 When we politely declined he said he would make another or my husband could have something else off the menu. This was kind but when you have 3 children under 5 with you- it’s not going to work as they are super impatient. We didn’t eat the steak and when the bill came, the manager took off £40 (the steak was £62). Another embarrassing conversation when he said he would take the steak off. His response was “what you didn’t eat any of it” 🥴 I’m not sure if it’s new management here or they are understaffed but it seems they cannot cope when it’s busy.

I'm giving a star for the lovely, friendly waiting staff and one for the lovely lakeside outdoor location but I'm afraid that's all. The food was just not tasty and the small portions did not justify the high prices. We were 4 adults, not drinking alcohol, and the bill came to £187 for 2 courses and that was with one of the main courses (fish stew) deducted because my daughter didn't like it. The £61 'sharing steak' was only big enough for one person and nowhere near lived up to that price in quantity or flavour. I couldn't bear to spend any more money there, so we didn't have dessert. We were all still hungry afterwards and my daughter and her boyfriend even went off to the food court for another meal! It's a shame because we went there for a celebration.

Our waitress Vendula from the Bluewater restaurant was a ball of laughter, cheerfulness , professionalism and looked after us. She made good recommendations from cocktail to food to dessert! Exceptional service! I will definitely visit again!

Vendula is such a lovely lady and friendly and smiley. She helped us with our bespoke order and couldn’t do enough for us. What a great member of staff you have! She loves her job.
