We go in here fairly regularly so it’s disappointing to write this review. My mate bought a round of 3 drinks and was charged £12. I bought the same round and was charged £14. I queried it with the girl behind the bar and was told it was correct. I went back later. Having festered for a while and queried it again, this time with the lad in charged. He said the previous round was probably not charged for mixers. However, the next round ( minus an orange juice) was charged at £8.50! So unless an orange is £5.50 I have clearly been overcharged! My receipt shows a dash of coke and and dash of line cordial at £1.50 each!! And by dash I mean a very small amount , not filled to the top. Very disappointed with this

Was here to watch the Leeds game. Very nice pub, great atmosphere and very nice staff.

Plenty of TV screens to watch various sports.

A good choice of beers and Sky Sports too - and they changed the channel so I could watch the F1. Plenty of sockets to charge my phone up too! Definitely a decent friendly place!

Didn't have food ....but it's a lovely little pub ...good prices too

Middle of the week when we visited and the pub was quiet, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice, traditional pub., friendly staff, good choice of hand pumps and regular. Very loud TVs but we did go during and England match, so may not always be like that

Excellent pub with interior of historical interest. Good real ales and food available. Often busy daytimes during week with parties visiting from nearby crematorium.

Really good old school pub with friendly staff and a decent selection of drinks. Dog friendly with plenty of seating and a large beer garden. Only minor complaint is sometimes when the sports on, the TVs are way too loud, but it's a small issue in the grand scheme of things.

We were there, by chance, for quiz night. Atmosphere was great, decent selection of beers, we had a great time.

Come in the pub frequently for football which is always on and why we come . . This particular Saturday afternoon the pub was showing rugby . On every single television !! When we asked the landlord to put football ( sky commentary ) on one TV said he couldn't do it ?? Why not ?? The rugby was on ITV , why could one TV be put on sky to accommodate the people wanting to watch the football commentary ?? What's really poor , everyone in the pub talking about the football , not sure any one particularly interested in the rugby !! People walking in , asking if it's in and walking out again .... what a way to alienate customers and not run a business

Lovely lunch with friends, fantastic atmosphere, very helpful friendly staff. I went for the full English and it was simply the best I’ve had in the year and half of being in Yorkshire. Massive shout out to the kitchen staff as the food looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be going back.

Proper pub, decent landlord and staff

Decent pub in itself but i would never go on quiz night again. It kind of defeats the object and the community aspect when one of the teams is clearly cheating (and not even being subtle about it) and the compare doesn't care. We weren't sure if we were the only ones who had noticed but a girl from the team nearest the cheaters went up to him afterwards to ask if he knew the 'winners' had been cheating. Apparently he thinks that's "just part of the fun" or words to that effect and is fine with it. According to one of my team, they had done the same thing last week. I'd go here again for a drink if i happen to be passing but a quiz needs to be a proper quiz for me, so i wouldn't go back just to see how many of the answers that team can google. Also didn't really appreciate the compare's style. I don't know if he'd have moderated his 'banter' if there had been anyone of colour there that night but frankly it doesn't matter. Some of that 'jokey' language was just not appropriate.

Great pub,enough tvs for sport but not overboard so feels like normal pub.decent selection of beers.

Disappointed to say the least. Me and the boys arrived to play a very well anticipated gig at such a fine establishment. Upon arrival we explained we were the band and in response we got a row of blank faces as if they’ve never heard of one before, which is rather hard to believe as they do have a sign outside saying “live music every weekend”. Then the manager explained there was a band playing last night which must’ve meant there’s no room for another performance tonight. I then opened my phone to a previous message between ourselves and the ring o bells which was an option of whether to play the 7th July or 5th November. We went with the 5th as it was the only one we had available. To cut a long story short, an agreed date and time between a band and a venue should no longer be taken as confirmation. It’s safe to say they won’t be ringing my bell any time soon

Terrible. We are a band who travel around all of Yorkshire playing gigs in different pubs. We had a gig booked at Ring O Bells for 6 months (booked for the 5th of November) which was confirmed by the manager. We loaded all of our stuff into the van and made the hour drive it took for us to get there. Once we got there, we were told that a ‘yes you can play on the 5th’ wasn’t an actual confirmation, sending us home. If you are a band or performer and are offered a gig at this pub, be prepared for a let down and to be sent home. What an absolute joke.

Great local pub with good range of real ales that change regularly and with local bands playing on Saturdays. Sport shown on a number of screens but there is a room where you can escape to if sport is not your thing, plus a large outdoor seating area that is fantastic on sunny days.

Just another pub nothing special

Had a few here last night before going to dinner nearby. It's a good sized pub with outdoor area too. Good range of draft beer & lager. Bar staff were fine but the guy in the white t shirt who I guess is the landlord served the chap next to me so I thought right i'm next ... he just looked at me and walked off to the other side of the bar and chatted with his friends... disappointing attitude

Good beer. Shame you can’t get away from the music noise - they even have speakers all over the garden.

Had a band on when we went, they were great. Bit of a wait at the bar despite lots on, think we stuck out as none local.

Had a chance visit here and thoroughly enjoyed the good selection of ales. And just to cap it off there was a live Ska band playing all afternoon in the beer garden and a selection motor scooters on display. All round great place.

My sons birthday had a few drinks outside it was a lovely evening plenty of space to sit out

Popped in after a Boxing Day walk with family and was greeted by friendly staff and promptly found an area suitable for the large group. Service was table service only which made it a little difficult splitting the bills etc but nothing unmanageable. Quick service, good pricing and lovely atmosphere.

Decent pint, only fault is not serving food late but not being able to take food or order food in. Apart from that all good 👍

Nice pub to be fair. Had a few pints here on Friday. All I would change is that I would get rid of table service for bar service (but that's just me) good pub otherwise and a good selection of ales and lagers.

This is an extremely well run pub. We visited for the England semi-final and these events can often be challenging for staff and customers, however I felt the need to come on here and compliment how well prepared they were. There was a large number of staff on hand to deal with high demand and this made service quick and efficient. Staff were all friendly and efficient which made our experience all the more enjoyable. The management were on hand to oversee everything and it was just an extremely well run operation. The food trucks outside have also been good (they have guest businesses visit each week) . They also had in-house pies available, which were nice and reasonably priced. Veggie options available. You can’t pre-book tables but there is plenty of space inside and outside to ensure high chance of getting a table around big events. There’s plenty of screens if you’re watching sport and the audio is good. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend a visit. We will return.

What a pub! First pub i visited after lockdown and wow they bought the correct experience back into my life! Food was proper pub grub. Beer was also quite good and it was very lively in there. Would deffo m visit again when the sun is shining and I’m in the area!

Visited with my partner. Landlord very abrupt, rude and verging on aggressive. Steer clear if you want a pleasant drinking experience. Plenty more to choose from where you’ll feel welcome.

Christmas menu three courses. The food and service were fantastic very enjoyable. Staff couldn’t do enough.

I’ve been blessed to have multiple Christmas meals (not in succession) beginning at the White Horse in Bingley, then The Halfway House, then the Beeches at Keighley and finally at the Ring O’Bells in Shipley. By far and away the best meal to my grateful surprise was the Ring O’Bells. I can thoroughly recommend it!!

Called in here as the pub we used to go to for food had lost their chef/cook, we where not disappointed, the food was excellent , the beer was perfect, so was the service, my only gripe was, and it may be petty but as there was four of us all the meals came together, so some had been standing for a while until the others where ready to come out, would be great if when ordering they/you/me could say when ready please bring the meals out, will definitely calling in here again, thanks once again to the landlady you where very understanding

Absolutely love the ring o bells. Been going in for years and still like it now it’s under now management. The food is good too and great value. Good atmosphere during live sport too.
