Cocktails Are a No No! Whilst this is a great place for a cheap drink they have absolutely no idea how to do cocktails. Their new 'salted caramel white russian' is no more than an, 'iced coffee'. Awful!!

I went back to the Richmal Compton today. All the guest beers had changed to another great selection. Kish gave me one to taste. I chose the Lancaster Brewery - Kish carried them to an outside table for me. He was very polite, helpful and cheerful. A ⭐️ Barman. The beer photographed was very fresh, delicious and hoppy.

Denied entry at 1125pm on Friday 16.9.23 even though it says it closes at 1230am on your website Asked to see manager who repeated same story said by staff & security that last entry is 11pm on a Friday but closing time is 1230am for only those who are inside. Place had less than 50% capacity inside Is it not better to state on your site that last entry is 11pm so that we do not make plans & then be left high & dry outside & denied entry? Am I missing something here? If I am please explain so I understand

Came here on a quiet afternoon. Pub is huge with outdoor seating, so no problem getting a table. Beer and food prices are really good value for money. Service was good and my burger was fine. Passed it later on and it was packed. Very popular and no wonder with those prices.

Worked all day to chill and play fruit machines and drink to be approached by a individual who thinks it wad ok to dictate to me about god and what right and angels above will help and believe to my absoulty shock off go away more than 4 times yes my volume went higher as annoyed to him still preaching to me. Why the actual he got the right to do my head in to him dissapearing to a table near toilets to then being told to calm down by a duty manager when she ain't go no idea what has happened to be told to calm down as other guests are in venue ridiculous to be honest but hand on heart good job jobs worth I won't ever go back to your venue again Good luck your gonna need it with staff that have a go at a loyal guests

I went to spoons with 2 of my friends. We were having a calm evening drink and everything was going accordingly. We kept very much to ourselves and was not disruptive to the already very busy and loud atmosphere in the pub. Around 11, a manager and a security guard came up to me and told me i need to stop drinking. At this point i had 2 glasses of wine since 7, and felt completely sober. Just having a good time with my friends was all. I told them this, they did not believe me and i started to get a little irritated as they were now saying i had “ quickly sobered up in the last hour”. In that last hour all i did was get up and to the toilet. I have a muscular condition that makes standing up and walking when it’s busy hard so i take my time and walk very slowly. I am prone to losing my balance very easily. They had said a member of staff had seen me stumbling, i then explained to them that could’ve been because of my condition. They did not buy it, and the buy black long coat, middle age, glasses. laughed at me for saying this and told me to “ prove” i have a condition and i wasn’t just drunk. This really got on my nerves as i shouldn’t have to prove to anyone I have a condition and also i’m not sure how i could’ve provided medical forms in a pub 🤣. I am absolutely disgusted with the way he handled the situation and it just shows you should never assume anyone doesn’t have a condition if they don’t “ look” like they do. it ruined the night and made me very self conscious about getting up and going to the toilet again. On the other hand, one of the security guards came up to me and apologised for the other ones behaviour that night. attached below is me suffering in my hospital gown 💔💔💔

The rule for under 18’s having dinner in the pub is they need to leave at 9pm. So why did you tell my daughter to leave her work do at 8pm, before she had had her food and was then left out on the street on her own. Absolutely disgusting 😡

We all meet up every so often and this is our venue of choice. Five of us met up for a couple of drinks, food and a chat. We ordered 2 x gourmet sirloin steaks, 1 x fish and chips with mushy peas, 1 x burrito salad bowl. The fifth order (mine) was slightly different. There was a notice on the bar "Managers Special - Christmas dinner £4.99". So I thought I would give it a go. The drinks to accompany our order was 3 x San Miguels and 1 x Ruddles (I was drinking coffee so had free refills). The whole order came to less than £50. I have said before if you want real gourmet food don't go to Wetherspoons but if you want decent food with a cheap drink then this is the place to go. You rarely see an empty Wetherspoons. We all enjoyed our meals, the drinks were a bonus and the company great.

Went there for drinks and dinner and it was lovely. Food was really nice and you get a drink included in the he price. Staff are very good and food and drinks were great value. Would definitely recommend.

Used the The Richmal Crompton Wetherspoons when staying at the nearby Premier Inn. It is literally two minutes walk from the Premier Inn and also from Bromley South Rail station. Had breakfast, which was served promptly and was piping hot. Usual good standard as expected from a Wetherspoons. It is quite a large venue, and I guess it gets busy at the evening and weekends.

Went out with a large group of friends who were all 18 and with me being 18 in a few weeks, I thought it was fine as I wasn't drinking and was driving. However, come 8 o'clock I was kicked off the premises. Out of a group of 30 people, I was left out from my mates birthday drinks and it ruined my night.

This is a large Wetherspoons with lots of tables some for standing and drinking but most for sitting and eating it also has some outdoor seating however some of it is next to a busy road. I went at 2pm on a Monday and had a £2.65 pint of Carling. Unfortunatly the WIFI kept dropping so could not order my food on the app. The app is good for people on their own so no one takes their table when they go to the bar to order. I then had another pint with a mixed grill for £10.99, it was really nice but the tomato could have done with more time on the grill, it was hardly cooked at all. I would go again.

Went there today for lunch - don’t bother going if you want a glass of white wine as they don’t have any!!!!!

Second time of using no Guinness and white wine food not hot why can’t a pub like weatherspoons get it right for a big company it’s not doing a good job

My friend kindly asked the 5”2 man in green for a straw. The staff member rolled his eyes before going to get the straws and then threw them on the table to my friend, leaving her traumatised (please see attached).

You know you got what you pay for at Wetherspoons but tonight we got more than we expected. Three large main courses and three pints for under 30pounds. Staff friendly and efficient. One member even questioned a group and asked for ID of them all...

Great cheerful helpful barmaid Katlin. Katlin helped me choose the best beer for my taste and the best place to sit and carried my beers to the table. Only £1.50 a perfect pint

Staff were absolutely on it when a creepy guy wouldn't leave me and my friend alone, checked on us multiple times and stayed at our table until he'd left.

It’s a Wetherspoons, we know the formula, and this one does it perfectly. I never leave this Pub feeling dissatisfied. As a proper Guinness drinker it hits the spot every time. Thank you Maneesha for an always perfect pint.

The manager is horrible! She kicked us out for race reasons when we did nothing wrong and then carried on and gave her phone number to a boy she liked. The behaviour from the manager was not acceptable and I would not recommend going into this pub.

I love Wetherspoon's generally but I didnt enjoy waiting 30 mins to get a drink. I didn't enjoy being told I couldn't have my whisky with my pint. I didnt enjoy being told I had to wear a mask to go for a pee by some kid. I have written many great reviews for Wetherspoon's in the past and they've had a lot of my money but I will never bother with the Rchmal Compton again. It truly is crap!

I found one of the male staff rude & arrogant, the femal manager refused to change my dessert at it was the second one given to me was cold! The staff there are not customer friendly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

The manager with the camera around his neck is the most arrogant, unpleasant and generally horrible person I’ve ever seen in the hospitality industry. If you can’t handle working under pressure look for another job as all night he was shouting at his staff and anyone else who so much as looked at him. Waited over an hour for drinks to be served from table service TWICE and then with our last round, he advised the staff to pour away even though they had been sitting at the bar for over twenty minutes! A fight broke out at the end and someone threw a drink over him, well played. A “manager” should not leave the premises to go outside and further escalate a situation but he did, he’s lucky he did not get beaten to the floor. Idiot. Get rid, I’m not sure how this man has a job working with customers at all, he is a bully and he was verbally abusing his staff and paying customers all evening. And when you tell your staff to continue pouring drinks and not actually serve them for over 45 minutes to then tell them to pour them away because it’s nearly closing time? No management or customer service skills at all.

We arrived at 8:20pm and ordered drinks via the app. We did not receive anything for 25 minutes and after speaking to the manager, was told that last orders are in so drinks should be coming very soon. It then approaches 9:40pm (20 mins before closing) when we are told that drinks will not be given and we need to go qnd ask for a refund. When speaking to the ginger barman,we found him to be completely arrogant and unprofessional. He was condescending and rude, no apology was given and he tried to refuse a refund.Will never come again, management need to be replaced.

El chico que nos recibió en la puerta tomó nuestros datos de contacto fue muy educado y amable. Las cervezas están bien conservadas y, por supuesto, son bonitas y baratas. Cuando haces un pedido usando la aplicación, las bebidas aparecen en la mesa sorprendentemente rápido. Hoy 25/8/2020 mi amigo y yo nos encontramos en este pub. Pedimos nuestra comida pero me olvidé de pedirle a mi amigo el curry con pan y poppodoms nann. Así que volví a la barra para pedirlos pero para entonces el q eue ya estaba fuera de la puerta. Le preguntamos al camarero Cameron si podía pedir los artículos para nosotros, dijo que no podía, pero que vería si el gerente Karen podía. Ella dijo que para hacer esto tendríamos que cancelar nuestro pedido y reiniciarlo. No queriendo volver a pasar por todo esto, dijimos que no se preocupe. Karen luego dijo "déjame ver si puedo conseguirlos en la casa por ti", lo cual hizo. Nos impresionó mucho lo serviciales que fueron Cameron y Karen. Gracias a ambos, también la persona del bar fue muy útil. Volveríamos.

Hay un miembro del personal que trabaja en este cachorro como gerente que es horrible y grosero, tiene el pelo rizado y lo estoy destacando porque estoy seguro de que todas las críticas negativas aquí y en Google son sobre él. Es tan grosero y parece encontrar una manera de trasladar sus frustraciones laborales a los clientes, destacándolos para su propia diversión, no sirviéndoles o pidiéndoles que se vayan sin ninguna razón y luego inventando excusas para sus tonterías.

What a shame... I always like this pubs but this one in particular is quite bad.. I’ve been coming here for the last 2-3 yrs almost every Monday, service is suffering though.. I wish I could train And help them to do a bit better... prices are good though.. they just have to step up their game on service and cleaning. Waiting for desert for about 20 min and when I does arrive is cold( brownie) and ask to be heated up, it comes back mushy/destroyed... I’ve send it back and waited another 10 min ish for a decent portion.. this is not the first time. Also, starter and mains should not come in the same time.. even if is a pub, the serving rules applies to every business that’s serving food .. shame.

First time I had been to this Witherspoon's on the 8th of March 2020 with 4 friends all of us in our early 50s .Order food which came quickly and I must say all of us said how nice it was and all had one drink with the meal. Two of the group went up to the bar to order some more drinks they were the only ones at the bar and commented very quietly how slow the service was, the bar person was a trainee and didn't even hear the comment. But then the manager or acting manager saw fit to take the two drinks , tell the trainee to stop pouring the third drink and though them away . Telling my friends that they were rude had they never trained in a job before ( don't forget this was a private conversation ) and told them to leave the pub . He then went on to say to one of my friends not to swear at him and she wasn't swearing at any point ( check the camera around his neck if you like too ) , said out the pub and refuse to service us any more. I think this is really despicable he was listening to a conversation that was a private conversation between two women in their early 50s and I just think complete and utter joke from this member of staff and I won't be returning . I deal with the public every single day I have 80 people on the road that work for me and 14 people that work in my office and I'm absolutely disgusted by the way this pub was run yesterday by this man . If you are training staff surly you she work along side them. With this we went onto the Premier Inn bar greeted very friendly by member of staff and I give them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ five stars out of five stars . I'm from the Sevenoaks area and think I will keep to my town's Witherspoon's that just won best pub from this chain ...... You to look at this member of staff, as his actions were way over the top .

Classic Wetherspoons, food is delivered very quickly and good quality. Can get a bit loud in the evenings but is perfect for families during the day. Good choice of food at a good price.

Vine aquí con mis hermanas, no volveré aquí otra vez. Sin ambiente, y no muy amigable. Pero debo decir que lo peor fue el hombre que nos trajo nuestra comida. Era mayor con el pelo rojizo, aspecto gruñón, y sin habilidades de la gente en absoluto. Prácticamente arrojó nuestros platos de comida a la mesa. Cuando le pedimos cuchillos y tenedores, nos miró como si estuviéramos locos, y luego dijo "su comida para comer te puedo dar toallitas" cuando insistimos en cuchillos y tenedores, pisoteó, trajo algunos y los arrojó la mesa. Solía ser camarera, ¡nunca antes había experimentado el servicio con una actitud podrida como esta! Somos un grupo fácil de complacer, y nunca nos quejamos. . ¡Pero solo tenía que decir algo esta vez! Toma mi consejo. . ¡Ve a otra parte!

Anteriormente he escrito una crítica menos favorable de este pub, pero visité nuevamente ya que mi esposa quería reunirse aquí. Lamentablemente, el servicio no ha mejorado. Large and buzzy place opposite Bromley South Station and with spoons usual great range of beers. I visited on steak night and got a 10oz portion of gristle - even the steak knife wouldn't cut through it. Manager replaced it with a smaller but better steak but someone needs to kick spoons meat suppliers, this was awful. My score reflects my experience, the pub is better than this.

I always look for a wetherspoons and this one will not disappoint you. It is large inside but very popular so looking for a seat is not unusual. The wetherspoons app works very well in all the ones I have been in. The drinks and food are a good price with the food being a good standard, It is my choice to go here to eat and drink in Bromley.

Situated immediately opposite Bromley South Railway Station,this very large Wetherspoons is nicely laid out, upon arrival, there is no problem finding a clean table, the management here ensure staff are on hand to clear and clean tables within minutes of people leaving.The staff are highly efficient and very friendly.The food is equal to any other Wetherspoons, so really good (I love the authentic Indian curries).The usual excellent range of beers and spirits, but I have given up on the red wines, the Casa di Diablo from Chile, falls well short of say Nottage Hill from Australia, at about the same price level, whilst the white Vina Maria from New Zealand is out of the top drawer.Hopefully, the red wine will improve ifsales fall.

Park in the underground car park round the corner . The pub has lots of seating with the addition of LOVLEY coney booths too. Food service and choice fantastic as normal. Fast to the table and really nice , cheers cliff

Visité el domingo festivo, estaba muy ocupado y bastante ruidoso. La comida estaba bien, y con una buena relación calidad-precio, la cerveza también tenía una buena relación calidad-precio. Fui a buscar un vaso de agua para cada uno de los grupos (3 personas), la persona que sacaba los vasos limpios no pudo solucionar el llenado del barril de agua, el hombre del bar tiró un vaso de agua del grifo, pero cuando dije que Pedí 3, lo vertió y me dijo que tenía que sacarlos del barril de agua, que le expliqué que estaba vacío y que había tratado de obtener 3 vasos de agua. . . Un tercer miembro del personal tomó el barril de agua y lo llevó para recargarlo. El personal parecía muy sobrecargado lidiando con un gran pub ocupado!

Un lugar horrible para ir, especialmente considerando que el ambiente estaba sucio. Estaba sentada en una cabina y la pareja de enfrente estaba constantemente discutiendo y amenazándose mutuamente, el personal lo había visto y se había quedado ciego. Esto me había quitado la comida, ya que me gusta tener un ambiente relajante para comer. La mesa en la que estábamos sentados estaba llena de migas de pan. El gerente tenía el pelo rojo y fue muy grosero conmigo cuando pedí una coca. Ella me gritó y me dijo que tenía que esperar a pesar de que ella estaba sirviendo. No estoy impresionado con mi visita a JD Wetherspoons y esta situación debe ser tratada.

Ha the pleasure of visiting this pub for the second time on 13th April while in Bromley. Very good reasonably priced foo and drinks. It is a very popular place and can get a bit noisy but worth a visit.

Visit was for the Beer Festival but there was not one festival beer available at 8.45 pm.

Food took a long time to arrive, it was luke warm, very small portion, tea/coffee refills - had to ask for more teabags and milk. Staff at bar very unsure of menu. No serviettes to be found, asked for some for four people, given one ! not eating there again.

We pulled in here for a couple pints of bitter. They had a good selection, but the wait to get a beer at the bar was a bit lengthy. A large chain pub, so the atmosphere is lacking. Overall, it worked for a couple pints.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and chose Wetherspoons over the hotel's restaurant. We were very impressed with the choice of items on the breakfast menu, including a gluten free breakfast without having the usual hassle of checking to make sure everything is suitable. The menu clearly shows what diets choices are suitable for and includes calorie counts. We ate here two mornings running as we were very happy with the service and food on the first day. The first day we asked for an add-on of avocado but wouldn't do that again as it tasted as if it had been frozen. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again and, based on our experience, would look for a Wetherspoons for breakfast in other towns, too. A small item for staff to note - the table on our second visit was a bit sticky so a little more attention to cleaning is probably in order. It would not stop our returning, however.

Just couldn’t get served, but as a local resident this isn’t unusual I’m afraid, staff seem to be busy doing nothing and ignoring customers waiting to order - we waited at the bar for at 20mins and after being ignored we went elsewhere.

Very impressed by first visit to this pub. Quick service, friendly staff and good food and choice of beer and ales .

Good service, pleasant staff, quite busy early in the evening.(Wednesday). Standard fare for this chain, one always knows what you will get going in to any Weatherspoon pub. Beer good.

Great place to meet right near the station - but it always feels dirty and grimy. The place needs a much needed refurbishment. Carpet, décor, chairs and the toilets are awful - most of the toilets doors do not lock and some are out of order. They are really disgusting and unpleasant.

Seven of us went here before going to the theatre and thought the food was good. Just what you would expect from a "Spoons"

Complained to the duty manager about a situation that had occurred and was then told to leave after we finish our drinks, for no reason.

Had breakfast there over two days and enjoyed it as we always do when in Bromley, nice and clean and staff appeared happy and were polite, one of the better places to eat in Bromley and value for money as well.

In there with friends.Asked for Doombar told it was off.I said when will it be back barman replied maybe 20 mins i don't know.Young manager at the time was rude sarcastic and if this is the way Wetherspoons train their staff i and my friends will definitely not be back.I will also tell others not to use The Richmal Compton.It's dull and miserable like the staff.

A group of us went there for lunch. After having ordered our food we eagerly waited for it to arrive. When it arrived I had to send mine back ( jacket potato with prawns and side salad) as the potato was just about warm and when I picked up a slice of cucumber it literally disintegrated as it was so old. When a new lunch was brought in, again the potato wasn't very hot and the cucumber had obviously been too close to the back of the fridge and had started to freeze! A colleague of mine sent her ham panini back as it hadn't been toasted properly and was cold. When it came to the desserts there was more 'fun' 4 had ordered Bailey's bread and butter pudding and 1 apple crumble with custard but the order had been taken down as 5 bread and butter pudding. Then we were told that there were only 4 bread and butter puddings instead of the 5 we 'ordered' and that they only had enough custard for 2 desserts! We explained that we had only ordered 4 puddings and an apple crumble with custard. We were offered ice cream instead of custard which we agreed. When the desserts arrived the two desserts with custard were sent back to be heated up and there was one dessert that wasn't brought out. The bread and butter puddings were cold and one of my colleague's was asked if she wanted to choose another dessert. Despite the shambles we enjoyed ourselves with good friends and enjoyable conversation but we DEFINITELY will not be going back there again!

Went on a busy Saturday. Was quite loud as was a match day. But used the phone app and it was a quick smooth visit with everything arriving quick. So I advise people use the app

Right outside Bromley South station , modern purpose build , main gripe was that visited on a Tuesday which I would not expect to be a busy day and, of the row of 6 real ale pumps, 5 were off and empty.Isnt that when other pubs change the barrel? One off, you can accept but five off on a Tuesday is just poor management/stock control. Also noticed that a member of staff was struggling to work the till so imagine was new and expected to serve with very little training. I love the Wetherspoons value but not impressed by its organisation.

Ordered the large breakfast last Friday, about 11 am, with extra black pudding, a cup of tea, returned to my table, and hey presto, the breakfast was there, 2 minutes after ordering. Thought it a bit suspicious, and investigated further, the plate was cold, the eggs were solid in the yolk, and the whole breakfast was luke warm, the only thing hot was the black pudding. Thought about saying something to the duty manager, then thought better of it, mostly because of the assumed fact that the breakfast had been pre cooked, and only extras cooked to order, in my case the black pudding meant that it had been done with him fully aware of the situation. My thoughts are that with the managers permission all the breakfasts were pre cooked, and only if someone complained was anything cooked to order. The management here need to look to themselves, and get to grip with the fact that breakfast needs to be freshly cooked, to order, and not pre cooked and left out, in my case, not even on the hot plate.

Had a terrible experience at this pup today. Very aggressive and rude bar staff, not enough bar staff for busy periods and when you complain about the wait and the fact that someone was served after two minutes at the bar when I had been waiting for over 10 minutes I was abused by a very arrogant young barman. This after spending a lot of money on food and drinks. I and my family will never return.

6 of us for some after work birthday drinks

Went on Sunday with my 18 yr old lad who was keen to try the food ordering app - 3 mains and coffee for less than 3 drinks up the Oxo Tower the day before. Yes it’s not Michelin star but neither are the prices. The staff were pleasant and the service prompt. Looking at the previous reviews and to the relief of my pacifist partner neither my son or I had a fight with the doormen - we must go back on a Friday night it seems. Still you can’t have it all for just less than seventeen quid - I look forward to the managers comments !

Have been coming here over the last six years on my visits to Bromley. This morning I noticed a sign on the bar saying PLEASE DO NOT STAND AT THE BAR AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN SERVED, as someone who likes to talk to the staff I find this disappointing. I can understand it when the pub is busy but not as a hard & fast rule, won’t be calling again, however good pub with usual Wetherspoon facilities. As I walked out & looked at the empty bar it reminded me of somewhere with absolutely no character any more. It is a British tradition to stand at the bar so thanks for everything over the years on my visits.

The only saving grace for this venue is the proximity to the train station. Although it was 8.30pm on a Wednesday night the queue at the bar was 3 deep. When I got to the front, the Duty Manager appeared more intent on serving the staff their own meals than the paying customers. I then couldn’t believe it as the staff were shouting abuse at each other across the length of the bar as the manager stood watching. The pub is sticky and unpleasant and the staff have no interpersonal skills. There appears to be a lack of supervision and insufficient staffing levels. My advice is to walk further up the High Street to somewhere more appealing

Once again headed for deepest darkest Bromley to meet a couple of friends and once again ended up in the Richmal Crompton (I cannot believe there are people out there who have never heard of her!!)

I recently visited this pub with a group of dear friends, and it is hard to imagine a better location. The food is divine, the beer cool and crisp, and the service is impeccable.

Do not come to this hell hole I came here for food it was the worst piece of scran I have ever experienced when I complained to the manager I got told I'm not welcome at the pub and that the bouncers would make sure I wasn't allowed back avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

Worst pub in the world, flat pints and poor service, tried to con me and my mates into paying for 4 pints that we hadn't ordered after the barmaid had forgot to charge the person who had actually ordered them. Instead of accepting their mistake they continued to hassle us asking for money for pints we hadn't ordered, the manager walking around in his shirt and tie like he's a high flyer is nothing short of embarressing and the bouncers haven't got a brain cell between them, avoid at all costs!

We had the displeasure of witnessing customers being man handled and treated aggressively! There was no warning given on drinking up time when the door staff begun antagonising customers, snatching drinks away from them and demanding them to get out. We watched them march out a peaceful young boy with his arms behind his back for no apparent reason other than he wasn’t leaving quick enough. They done this to another customer too. I feel they were unfriendly and antagonistic all evening trying to provoke trouble. The bar staff did not look happy to be serving, lack of smiles and friendliness. This venue is a major let down to this company.

We were here with a group of friends for a 50th birthday celebration. The food and drink were great and this was the first time I used the app for ordering. Whilst it was efficiently brought to our table, the staff who did so were all moody and looked as though they resented doing it.

We were in this pub last night and out of nowhere, what appeared to be a completely unprovoked attack occurred when one of the bouncers put a young fella into a headlock and dragged him across the floor. The young man was unable to breathe. We were absolutely appalled, sickened and disgusted, and certainly will not be returning. With door staff like that, they should not have a license!! Horrible.

After a very long break since my last visit here I met up with 3 friends again.

Came here last month with my best friend for lunch! Food was lovely and served quickly. Kerri & Summer are fantastic staff members.

Visited this afternoon with my 2 daughters aged 20 & 18, I'm visibly identifiable as a 50 year old man, a surly aggressive barmaid who appeared to be having a bad day asked what we'd like, I ordered a pitcher and a pint, she immediately asked my daughters for their I.D.'s which my 18 year old didn't have with her regardless of the fact that she wasn't drinking

I ordered a breakfast which took 25 minutes to arrive. It arrived cold without sausage as they had run out which I was not advised when ordered. The egg was broken and the black pudding which cost extra was too hard to eat. I have had many weatherspoons breakfast and this was by far the worst.

Ok, this is a wetherspoons pub so you pretty much know what you're going to see when you walk in so the menu and drinks selection is the same everywhere so it comes down to service levels.

Whilst the seating area was generally clean, the toilets, coffee and bar area were all sticky and disgusting. The staff were quite friendly, but service was slow, despite there being few people. The coffee machine was filling up with coffee due to a malfunction but , to be fair, I can't really hold this against them as I think it was a relatively new issue.

It was my daughters birthday and they decided to go for a meal to celebrate with the family. They ordered and paid online for their last drink at 20.10 hrs but was refused due to the presence of their children all teenagers. They ordered in good faith as on previous visits they were informed that children had to be out at 20.30. It now appears to be 20.00 hrs. They were humiliated and had to fight to get their money back.

Three of us popped in for a last beer having just arrived back into Bromley after a day out. My boyfriend, who is type 1 diabetic, unfortunately suffered a severe drop in sugar levels and went hypoglycaemic. It does happen and can happen without warning. We were dealing with the issue when one of the staff approached us and stated that as he looked unwell we needed to leave. Just like that. Drinks were taken away, money refunded and we were escorted to the door. On stating he was diabetic they simply didn't care. Just not interested. I raised a complaint which they tried to fob off. So make sure you are 100% well to go in here as it seems their policy is to simply throw you out just for daring to look a bit off colour. Had my boyfriend been on his own in that state, I dread to think what may have happened but I do know The Richmal Crompton certainly wash their hands of all responsibility, care and compassion.

I have visited this pub many times, about five weeks ago I needed to use the gents, I noted a member of kitchen staff failed to wash his hands after using this toilet, I emailed Weatherspoons and reported it, but as yet they have not responded.

We go here a lot after the footy! On April the 7th after Bristol City at home, was my mates birthday, so visited this bar as usual. At 21-14 I thought its busy so will get our drinks ordered on the app, we do this all the time at this pub! 45 minutes later I asked for a credit to my card, night was over then as the whole floe had gone sitting around in a pub without a drink is boring after a while.

Visited the pub before traveling for a football game. As most Wetherspoons pubs it’s a good size, with a good selection of beers and food.

Thursday evening both my partner and I went for curry specials.I had the Jalfrezi and partner had the vegetarian option.

Went in there last Saturday at 1.15 pm, and waited for 12 minutes to be served. Why is it none of the staff venture to the guest beers at the end of the bar ? One staff member did, but only to visit the cold cabinets, and when I asked her to send someone down this end, she just said she was told to stay in the middle of the bar. You can tell when its going to be a long time to be served by the bar staff just ignoring the customers in case they notice who is next to be served.
