Costa Coffee in Bromley

Visited Costa in Biggin Hill yesterday aroubd 10am with a friend,we had hot chocolate,tea,a cheese and ham toastie and a pain au raisin.Friendly staff,brought our food and drink to the table which was nice.Overall good experience.

A girl named Tilly was an excellent creamer and had amazing customer service going the extra mile for me !!!!!!!!! Would recommend and will be going back for Tilly

Service is always excellent, staff are friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy coffee shop. Food and drinks are a little pricey.

Please take the sweeteners out of your chocolate or offer unsweetened options thank u

My experience is not unusual apparently, according to reviews, First contact with a miserable member of the four staff stood behind the counter, while waiting, no one else in the queue I was told to ' move up' very abruptly, which I did, after being charged 3.50 for a black takeaway coffee, it was just put on the counter and the guy turned away with no acknowledgement of myself and carried on the conversation between themselves, very ignorant staff. Who ever manages this place, needs to take charge, and manage,tables also not cleared, despite being quiet, obviously the conversation was far more important than the customers experience.

Sadly, they had run out of ice so half our party we're unable to get the drinks they wanted on what was a very hot day. The staff were friendly. Everything is s little overpriced.

Good coffee and now good food from M&S, much better food than before!

I come here often to meet family for a coffee and chat and the staff are always friendly welcoming and make a good drink, the blonde lady remembered me from previously and remembered my order what was a really nice feeling.

There was no line and four staff behind the counter. I was waiting for close to 4 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. If there is a problem with equipment or staff training going on it’s perfectly acceptable and polite to acknowledge the customer and explain you’ll be with them when you can. To ignore customers entirely is poor service management and I doubt in line with company values. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor service in this branch.

My wife and I walked the Biggin Hill Circular today starting from Tatsfield. We called into Costa Coffee at the half way point. I was impressed with the friendlyness and efficiency of the staff and the place had a good vibe. Well done.

Had good cappuccino here. Lively atmosphere. Good toilets. Pleasant service by the baristas.

Nothing wrong with the coffee but the wait time even when not particularly busy is so slow you can expect to wait at least 15 mins to place your order. Make sure you've plenty of time.

Had to wait 15 minutes in a queue to get served but there were 4 staff serving?! Coffee was nice when it finally arrived. A number of people left the queue as it took far too long to be served.

Too crowded, overpriced and slow service (& they messed up a simple order for 3 large cappuccinos drink in....by putting the first in a takeaway cup.😡

This costa coffee branch is one of the worst. Worst coffee and stake cakes. Hell to much noisy place.

Cycles from Orpington for day out,the staff was very friendly. It nice & clean,I would visit again.

First and last time of visiting, About 8 members of staff standing around and ignoring me for 5 minutes. Sloppy watery coffee and left half. Will not return and imagine by most of the reviews not there too much longer !!!!!

They could with putting more effort into clearing tables after customers leave. Too often you have to clear your own table

Went to Costa today, 2nd October, found all doors shut and no ventilation. Windows all wet with condensation . The staff seemed to think it is fine to wear their face mask at half mask. The staff never cared about social distancing and served people who did not wear a face mask whilst waiting to be served. It appears the staff at Biggin Hill need to be further advised, on mandatory requirements regards Covid -19 (Coronavirus); Set down by the government and local authorities, Bromley Council. . . .

Visited today today the gentleman that served was abrupt and unwelcoming. I asked for some sugar which dropped on the floor as he virtually threw them at me! No apology from the man in question. I certainly will not be returning. If you don’t like the public find a new job mate!!!

Went into costa on a Friday at 5.45 and wanted a toastie however they said that they couldn’t do the toastie as they have just cleaned the oven and all drinks had to be in take away cups. The thing is they don’t close until 6.30 and they had already packed everything away.

Where do they get the staff these days! They start packing up half hour before closing, serve you your coffee and try kicking you outside to drink it because they want to close dead on the minute. My partner and her friend will now be going elsewhere for a coffee.

Costa in Biggin Hill has a homely coffee house ambiance. The food they serve is of a good standard,lovely toasties,and cakes. A bit more expensive than other outlets,but worth it.Friendly courteous staff make you feel welcome and not rushed.Give it a go!

Two staff serving yet we still had to wait 5 mins for our order to be taken. They seemed to be a little confused as to who had ordered what. The outlet was not busy only one person ordering before us. Still a good place to stop for a coffee.

I visit this Costa regularly. It’s clean, friendly and inviting. I always have a hot chocolate made with coconut milk and I’m never disappointed. The staff are friendly and the manager is polite and is always friendly to his staff and customers!

This Costa store can be a bit hit and miss. The staff seem happy but on occasions there aren't enough of them and there's a queue. Additionally, they often don't have a good food selection as it's not available; especially in the morning. If you like to sit in a cafe that smells damp too this is the place to be.

Costa used to be my go to in Biggin Hill for catch ups with friends. The fact that the staff were lovely and helpful and chatty and friendly was an added bonus. We knew all the staff by name pretty well and as well as knowing your order before you placed it, they were always happy to chat if they had a spare minute. Unfortunately, it seems that the new manager thinks he is above everyone, including his staff. The way he speaks to people is absolutely disgusting, including the way he speaks to customers and regulars. The atmosphere is no longer welcoming but somewhat hostile, he is the root cause of so many good staff seeking employment elsewhere and leaving! He is very young granted, but he needs to be taught how to speak to people with respect, especially his staff. And he needs to get his act together and sort the shop out.. I have never known it to be so understocked! Myself and my friend now refuse to go there due to his behaviour, the state of the disgusting toilets and the fact he doesn’t seem to be interested in training new staff correctly, but more in to berating them in front of customers! Please sort it out costa! This used to be a nice place to visit!

Why is Costa coffee so inconsistent. It varies from visit to visit!!

Tables need to be cleared and cleaned. I was there for 45 minutes using a table that hadn't been wiped and wasn't while I was there. Adjacent tables were likewise left with dirty crockery and not tidied up. Coffee and food was good.

Nice and quiet, even though there were customers coming in and out all the time. The staff serving knew the regulars by name, which is nice to see. Obviously people are happy to come back, which is a very good sign. I will be back too 😊

I’ve been using this branch of Costa for a very long time and thought it was about time I registered a review. The staff here are chatty & friendly, you normally get served very quickly. Staff keep the store clean & tidy, although being a little older than some other local branches, could benefit from a little update. Coffee is as great as ever, so is the occasional morning porridge.
