Costa Coffee in Bromley

The Costas on the posh side of Pettswood, not our usual stop but every now and again we pop over to the other side, nice people work there so well worth a visit 👍

Seems they now allow dogs in the premises, so will not go again until they change this policy. Disgusting!

Just thrown away £4-worth of 'coffee' - couldn't taste any coffee! Really disgusting - I thought there would be a standard measure or something here. What I got was bilge water. Woman who took my order very nice and efficient. Younger woman who finished my order - I think you got something wrong. And that you don't drink coffee.

Awful place, run down, tables full of old cups and wrappers not being cleaned up and I was there for half hour and was still not cleaned up. Staff on phones and very dismissive and blunt when taking orders. I won’t even mention the dirty toilets!

Lovely staff, great coffee, and a comfortable place to sit for an hour or so before work. Toilet hand dryer is slower than if someone was blowing your hands through a thin straw. You’re better off asking for some napkins or using toilet paper

Absolute worst excuse for a coffee I’ve ever tasted, I’ve bought one 3 times from here and never again, they’re always the same. Cold, overly milky with zero taste, I ordered a flat white which is supposed to be a relatively stronge tasting cup but it was served in a big cappuccino cup, basically a huge cup of lukewarm milk with a very slight hint of coffee. You could barely even see that there was coffee in it judging by the colour. This is all 3 times I’ve gone there even when I have asked to have less milk, the staff didn’t seem to really understand this and clearly have zero proper training in how to make a coffee. The service was fine and so was the cleanliness of the place, but no background music on. I know it’s only Costas but honestly I feel ripped off, I didn’t even bother drinking the one I just bought, took one taste & binned it.

The workers are really kind and are really patient. The tables are always clean, and you can always get , whether that's for one person or 5. They have sandwiches, hot drinks, water, and orange juice, so whatever you might want, they have.

The customer service at this Costa location was significantly disappointing. When we ordered two teas and two chocolate twists, we were informed that only one chocolate twist was available. Instead of offering alternative options, the staff member attempted to substitute it with a croissant. I proposed paying extra for a muffin, but after a brief discussion, my request for a receipt printout was ignored. Ultimately, the staff member reluctantly provided the muffin. Proper customer service would have involved a prompt apology, offering a choice of alternative items, or verifying the availability of the items before processing the payment. This was the worst Costa experience I have ever had.

On a recent visit back to Petts Wood, agreed to meet friends in Costa! What has happened since we left! The coffee shop is tired, staff look fed up and working in auto pilot, drink quality, dreadful, (Tea and Coffee below standard), the place is filthy and needs some real tender love and care. Please don't get me started on the toilets, what is going on? The door handle broken, the toilet is absolutely filthy and the smell, if I wasn't so desperate I wouldn't have bothered, I wish I had walked out and peed in my pants! After school we would love to visit for a catch up with friends for a coffee and toasted sandwich, standards have slipped massively. Costa needs put the love back into the coffee shop (you are the biggest in Petts Wood) and motivate your staff. You have so much competition around you, with clean, great coffee establishments, what has happened?

Not a place I'd visit again,or any of their others. Always well dirty windows,didn't risk the toilets,Coffee well overated,pretty much a Mc D, but everyone to their own taste.......Certainly not my cup of Tea......

Great service from the team there, shop is clean and tidy but toilets do need updating.

I have been today afternoon for a coffee two girl was working not busy at all and it took more than 10 min to place the order and when they make coffee with no care at all. I regularly use this shop with good customer service but today is very poor service.👎👎

Love Petts Wood. It has a lovely vibe. Love Costa so 5 star from me.

I ordered a coffee to drink in, then had to dash so I asked for a take away cup. They dumped mine in a cup and handed it to me, and then my friend asked the same. They made a face, and gave him the cup to do himself, and they were very rude to both of us. Manager and a barista with very bad attitude, store has been going downhill fast.

Ordered 2 flat white and they were disgusting. Cold milk and very weak coffee. Never again. I am glad I an not the only one to have had this owful experience.

Coffee was ok blueberry Muffin was not for me

Sticky finger marks on glass doors/counters - screens not clean and really struggled to hear the girl serving. I noticed the other girl who would have been making up my order (she had long dark hair it was almost stuck to her face - it wasn’t tied back and she was arguing with a customer). I decided to cancel my order and left, the toilet was in a bad way another customer said whilst we waited to be served… all in all, unless they pull their act together, they will lose customers (unless of course the customers don’t mind!!). I don’t intend going back there any time soon…

On 09/01/2022 we visited your store, my iced mocha tasted of dirty water with minimal flavour, my partners energiser vanilla latte was a small when we ordered a medium and powder was not mixed in properly, my two friends’ receipt was thrown away resulting in the staff forgetting to make theirs until I reminded them. Other customers appeared to have been annoyed as well at the delays in getting drinks made. I should’ve just made coffee at home, did not expect this from Costa.

The protection screens between customers and staff make it almost impossible to order audibly with all the background noise going on. Everything was sticky. I would guess that it was last decorated when the branch opened. The toilet is like something out of a horror movie set in a dystopian hostel.

Quality of service was extremely poor.

Me and my friend have been to the Bromley costa many times to buy coffee. We don’t have much caffeine and it’s usually brought as a treat. One of the rudest service managers went on the attack straight away instead of calming telling us (I don’t know her name but she is blonde) that we were too young for caffeine (I’m 15). I was shouted at and told that I could have a heart attack. You are a coffee shop. If you’re that worried about health then stop selling high calorie foods to overweight kids. Obesity is a way bigger issue than caffeine overdose. Never returning again.

Lovely staff, lovely coffee, lovely atmosphere! Can't fault, especially as they have been working full throughout lockdown! Couldn't live without my Costa ladies!

Great coffee but low staff numbers meant that tables were not being cleared and sanitised between customers. Also No checks done on customer toilet, which I found to be unable due to the toilet bowl being filled with tissue and almost overflowing. I told the staff they needed to check the toilet.

Coffee was very nice, but I did ask for it extra hot, and if that was extra hot I'd hate to taste the normal temperature! Very poor display of sandwiches at 4pm.

Coffee is blah but the vegan cheese and jam toastie is actually decent with tons of cheese

Usually quite good... but on this occasion my muffin was stale and the loo was a health hazard with used items overflowing out of the bins. !

Love coming here on a Sunday morning for a tea and cake. Since you have changed your cake suppliers they are not so nice and seem stale. Shame

Wonderful staff at this Costa. The coffee always tastes amazing. There’s two girls that work here who are absolutely lovely. Bubbly personalities. Always have time for a conversation with me. Even when the shop is busy, the tables are always cleared. They always have a full range of snacks available. They have air conditioning inside and additional seating outside. The toilet, although clean could do with a refurbishment. It’s very old with visible damages.

Very poor service long wait then asked for a wet cap and ended up with a cup full of milk bubbles I think more training is needed

Costa coffee is a nice coffee the food is good if you like that type of thing, but I personally think it’s over price.

Nice little Costa a few minutes walk from Petts Wood train station, at the end of the High Street. It does get busy, and service can be a little slow, but staff are very friendly.

The cakes are delicious and the hot chocolate is amazing as well but it is quite expensive. I love to go there every so often as it is a really nice place

Under stocked ,usual breakdowns, if it’s not the oven it’s the card machine! General run down grotty appearance, sections closed down hours before closing time, short measured luke warm coffee !

Lazy staff and rude. Tables full of grease and very untidy. They keep closing Seating areas 2 hours before

The Staff were very disorganised! The Counter was filthy! The Floor behind the Counter was a mess! The work area was very untidy ! The Young Man behind the counter is a disgrace. He looks like a Scarcrow ! He is a mess! Not very particular! the Toilet was Smelling, and strewn with Tissue Paper! The Shop is badly in need of a Referbishment ! It used to be very well run! BUT now it's a disgrace! It's going down hill fast !

Good service Parking at Morrisons

We find this quite a busy little coffee shop. It's up to the usual Costa standard. Often a bit of a queue for the loo.

I’m a frequent Costa visitor, this outlet is well presented generally and clean. The staff are friendly and service is fast. Quality of the drinks is good. Recommended.

What do you say about Costa coffee? It's part of a chain and this one is just like any other one. I think in the end its the staff that make these places along with where its sited and the amenities. This one doe what it says on the box and the staff are friendly enough. So a yes if you want coffee in Petts Wood.

This store has really gone downhill lately, half of the staff don’t know how to make the drink. Which obviously isn’t their fault but it’s just not the same.

While the coffee is fine here the tables are always sticky and very unclean. Food is uninspiring and need to extend the gluten free range.

The usual Costa coffee but with exceptional staff. Always am greeted with great customer service and would like to thank Frankie for going out of his way today :)

Working around the corner. One day I had a latte which was a bit weak but the next day I had a flat white which was really nice. Always better than Starbucks though

Never been disappointed, great coffee and friendly staff. Manager is amazing, so good she is often found at the other Petts Wood Costa too and is, I suspect, the reason why there are often trainee staff there - learning the ropes from an expert [which does admittedly slow things down sometimes but everyone has to learn sometime :) ]

Lacks cleanliness and friendliness

Big improvement in this costa. First came here a few years ago and all the staff seemed foreign and difficult for them to understand me and the other way around and the place looked a mess. lots of tables with rubbish on them. Been here twice recently and all the staff spoke English as a first language and very pleasant and all the tables bar one was clean.

A very quiet Costa on Petts wood high street. Nice lay out, clean and tidy. Chatty staff! But it's so quiet what else are they to do. Maybe clear the tables? Why do Costa never clear their tables?! Very nice cortado however, thank you.

It's a fairly decent size next to the station but parking isn't great.

I bought a cup of coffee after I paid I was told I couldn't seat because they were closing. If I knew I couldn't seat I wouldn't have bought the coffee. That was very nasty in my opinion.

We went here for a quick catch up. Great service by staff. Ham and cheese toasty was brought out fast and hot. Wasn't too busy as it was a weekday afternoon.

I always go to costa coffee, and love the lemon tart, I dare anyone to go in and look at the pastries and not have one, they are yum. Check this out!!!!

Tenía un montón de asientos y lo que es más importante para el Costa - un montón de un atento personal de guardia así que había un rápido y una mínima hacer colas. Llegué alrededor de las 23:00 1:45 al final de la cola del almuerzo. Mi bocadillo tostado fue traído a mi mesa. Yo tenía el mejor café americano que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Yo estaba en mi cuenta y me sentí muy bienvenido. Es evidente que esta rama es muy popular con los compradores de todas las edades, especialmente madres con ruedas y los niños pequeños. Tienen una gran zona de asientos en la parte trasera y frente al restaurante, en el centro comercial en sí una gran zona para sentarse espacio extra con mesas y sillas. Me sentí muy seguro y relajado tener mi almuerzo y volvería otra vez en un viaje de compras de invierno.

I go to Costa every day and this is by far the worst I've been to. Understaffed, stressed out guy serving, no WiFi, plugs don't work and just a shrug from the guy behind the counter about wifi not working.

The staff in any Costa never clean tables, walk around with their eyes closed, when tables need clearing. They ignore customers when they are waiting to be served.

This is very over rated. staff don't clean tables. Very noisey, seating is uncomfortable. Would never recommend anyone going to here at all.

Use Costa in Petts Wood and Locks Bottom at least once a week. Great coffee and a relaxed place to sit is always available.

The coffee tastes like its on the brink of expiring or it has stored incorrectly and the beans are sweating. Not sure if this is how they prefer to sell their coffee to give you the impression that its strong but in a true sense its certainly tastes like the latter. Provide us a decent, inspiring, refreshing fresh roasted coffee and not something that is about to die please?

ALways served with a smile, love a nice coffee and chat to catch up with friends and family. Its such a nice comfortable environment to relax and enjoy a nice coffee.

Costa coffee in petts wood always busy and yes you have to wait a while no probs ,the only prob I get is all I want is a cup of white coffee with sugar NO QUESTIONS don't care what the fancy name is just want a cup of coffee , but still I get too many questions I've already asked for a medium cup of white coffee simple please listen !!! Inside is set out nice and there is a seating area out front overall this place is ok if your not in a rush and it's not cheep.

The staff are very friendly - menu selection is brilliant. Much better than other mainstream coffee brands. We literally visit every Sunday!!

Ridiculous prices for a simple coffee and you have to stand in a queue to be served. At these prices, the least you should expect is table service.

What more can they do it is a busy cafe, just wish they had more staff and were able to get through the lines quicker. Perhaps a different lay out. Only grumble was the hot chocolate never stays hot.
