Triffic local beer emporium. Smart but sympathetic refurb staying true to its roots. Gravity-dispensed cask ale, from top breweries near and far and across the style spectrum is impeccably served. 2 keg lines newly installed are a great addition. Owner and bar staff work tirelessly, enthusiastically and are super friendly and welcoming to all. A credit to Petts Wood Village and the wider area.

Looking at the other reviews, I must be the odd one out. We arrived last Saturday at 10.50 p.m. but although it says clearly on the door that it closes at 11 p.m. and the pub was still busy, the barman wouldn't serve us. Whether this was pub policy or a whim of the barman, I couldn't say but it was bad for business as he turned away three thirsty punters. We went down the road to the Daylight Inn where they were glad to serve us Harvey's Best but I won't be going to the One Inn the Wood for a long time.

So stopped in for a swift half or two. I stopped with my misses and we had a few halves as couldn’t decide just what to drink, she wanted wine but after tasting the cider she was hooked. Only Kent beer and wine served along with snacks. best to sit outside if you can because the acoustics inside are terrible and it is so noisy. The beer is always good, Permanent is the ale and the Flint white wine is very good. Probably becoming a victim of its own success in that it is a small venue but always so busy. Pet friendly as well which is unusual.

Used to come here regularly then came for Mother’s Day drink and left due to swearing. Hadn’t been back since but thought we’d give it another go for a Christmas drink. Mistake. We walked in and walked straight out.Still the same, now full of young drunk people and language appalling. Real shame as this used to be a lovely little place, older crowd and full of pleasant locals. Now it’s a young mob and could be a regular night in Wetherspoons . There’s another microbrewery opened up in nearby Hayes with a much nicer crowd and friendly owners. I’ll be heading there in future.

I used to go here a lot and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact it was and had that friendly family feeling. However, the last time I went their earlier this year, with my wife there was a lot of swearing going on and so had not been back until my latest visit. Oh dear, how the place seems to have gone downhill. Sunday evening and a few drunks around and still lots of swearing. Decided to leave after just one drink. What a shame it was a good place to go, now I am afraid I will not return. I am sure my little bit of business will not be a problem, but I suspect if other people feel the same way about swearing then more people will stop going.

OK then my wife ordered a sparkling wine met by the barman bending down to eyeline of the glass to make sure he did not pour over the limit less than 5mm.
