Group of 10 for carvery. Excellent attentive service but we were only table for a while. Table booked at 1230, surprised it wasn't busier and we had to wait while carvery was laid out. We didn't opt for starters. We all had carvery for main course. Very big plates on offer. Meats were below average. Pork, lamb and beef and both lamb and beef were very pink. The joints generally needed longer but what we did eat was nice. Good selection of veg, I think 6 including cauliflower cheese. Potatoes and Yorkshire and gravy were excellent. Could happily have had a plate of that! For those of us with a smaller appetite would have liked to see a smaller plate option. £18 for main course carvery and around £8 for dessert seems on the dear side. Especially as I don't gave a big appetite. Desserts were nicely presented and even ice cream scoops were in a glass dish and appeared generous. A good place for a get together with family following remembrance service.

Myself and 3 Biker mates visited yesterday and were impressed by the changes made to the place. Full of interesting Motoring memorabilia for all Petrolheads everywhere! The young staff were friendly and attentive as well as being highly efficient in their jobs. The breakfast is at the top of the price range at £11.95, but it was cooked beautifully and the ingredients top notch. Great Coffee too! We had a great time and will certainly return. An excellent Bikers retreat!

We thought we would try Mr Bean in Sayers Lane on our visit today to Tenterden. A nice array of cakes and pastries. We bought our favourite, a toasted teacake which we usually have at another coffee shop. I found a table for us but it was dirty with crumbs and sugar and rather near to the air conditioner in the ceiling which was blowing out cold air, something you would need on a hot day, not on a cold, rainy March day, as well as the doors being wide open. I moved to another table but like the previous one, felt grimy and sticky, in need of a good scrub!! The teacakes arrived. Large, with very little fruit, more like a biscuit than a teacake. Certainly not enough butter to cover the unusually large surface area and rather dry. I went to use the ladies toilet, but only found a disabled toilet. Upon entering I found it to be very unsavoury, wet floor and generally unfit for use. As it is the only toilet and obviously used by male and female customers, this makes it essential to keep vigilant over its cleanliness. All in all, with the higher prices and the state of the establishment we will not be going back.
