The Regal in South Hams

We went to the Regal today. The first time as a family. 2 adults 2 kids. I have been several times over the years but since moving away and becoming a wife and mother. We all had a great time. Arriving at dinner time for a fews games of pool with our children and a drink. Staff were found to be warm, pleasant and friendly. Just as I remembered from 15 years ago. Love this pub. Enjoyed telling my family my past memories of days and nights out here

Plastic 70's style sports bar, slot machines and TV's. Poor range of ciders, couple of local beers and standard corporate lagers.

OK for cheap drinks, food is good when they open the kitchen. Two pool tables and a indoor smoking area.

Quiet on Sunday. Pleasant place, a huge area. Very cheap beer (ale).

Had a cracking time. Breakfast was absolutely splendid! Also enjoyed a friendly game of euchre.

One of the best places to have a meal and a drink in KB. Friendly staff, friendly clientele and an amazing atmosphere, let alone in the smoking area. Big TVs for major sporting events, a wide selection of drinks ( I advise the house red ) a great stage for the Saturday night disco and plenty of good vibes 😎 ✌🏼

I’ve been to this establishment several times and this time I was not happy with my experience. I went to the bar to get some drinks at the time it wasn’t busy ( 4 members of staff behind the bar) and it took them a long time to serve me. Eventually I got served took my drinks and sat down. I was surprised at what I was seeing. A member of staff was vaping behind the bar ( not very professional ) I know there are no rules on this but we didn’t think it was a good look I’m sure this should be done in their break ! Then to my amazement a member of staff went to dance on the dance floor instead of serving customers that were waiting in the bar area. There is no interaction with the staff regarding to customer service -on entry no good evening or how are you ? All aspects of good customer service, maybe some training on this is needed. I was disappointed that there wasn’t entertainment on New Year’s Eve -a member of staff ( I believe) was putting music on but not a professional a band or a dj which is something I look forward to when I go out for new years, very disappointing so we went else where and it was buzzing ! ( I believe it’s called the crabshell) completely different welcome from the staff in this establishment.

Great place to chill and have a drink and play some pool! Staff are great!

Fantastic place for food and drinks. Lovely lively evening atmosphere. Bt and Sky sports with pool and snooker tables. Both food and drink are very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Went to a birthday party very good and spacious , wonderful service from the bar staff

A nice friendly environment. Great care is taken with the covid restriction and your made to feel safe and valued. My only sticking point was the lack of choice on the app for ordering drinks. However a quick chat with the staff, they made sure my drink (shandy) was offered each time an order for the table went in.

Top pub. Staff really friendly and can’t do enough for you. Excellent choice of drinks. Highly recommended

Welcoming and friendly , very good menu and really well cooked tasty food. My steak was as good as I’ve had anywhere. We will certainly be returning .

AWFUL EXPERIENCE, came in to watch the UCL with friends and was pretty busy. There was a booking for 7pm which they never turned up so asked barmaid can we take the table (there was 3 of us) we sat down around 7:30. Half time came and me two friends ran over the shop to grab some smokes and one of the bar staff came over and told me the booking has just arrived (9pm) and told us we had to leave cause there was no more tables. Staff started to get VERY RUDE so I just walked away in the end. One of the worse experience I've seen considering I've worked in hospitality for 8 years. Would not recommend to anyone.

Really disappointed. Have been in several times and have always been really happy with the food. Persuading my partner to come in for the first time on Saturday. My fish and salad was fine. His rump steak was slimy and horrible. Arrived at table covered in onions and mushrooms, so staff must have been aware. Really unhappy, but he wouldn't complain. Will give it another go, but will be wary of the steak.

What fabulous food - no wonder they are Taste of the West Silver standard on just their second entry. And at such reasonable prices - why would you cook at home when you can eat here, with friendly, welcoming staff, excellent service, always someone to have a chat with. Spotlessly clean, light , bright and airy, this is a great town centre venue to take children, the elderly (brilliant accessibility thanks to the lift) because they are so accommodating and flexible with portions, etc.,; hold a function; meet friends and an ideal location for the monthly Business Breakfasts. Just wish they were every week!

Good honest food, huge premises that serve food all day. Go up that flight of stairs, don't be afraid! There is also a lift for those who require flat access.

Won a roast dinner for 2 and 2 soft drinks on facebook,went in today and was very happy with the food, will definatly visit again, also heard lots of good reports about the breakfasts and burgers so will be back to try them also, prices were brilliant also

Absolutely brilliant food,steak cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Chef was amazing at adapting my food to gluten free. I didnt feel deprived like I do a lot of the times when eating out. Will definitely be going back x

I have been to the Regal numerous time now as part of the local Chamber meetings and breakfast business clubs. I have always been impressed by the quality of the food, the friendly service and the great value!

Good pub grub, friendly and helpful staff. Always clean and tidy.
