Place Is great, food and drinks are amazing, there are tables for big groups. Service is fast also when it's full. I highly recommend it

I just phoned to ask a personnel who seems to be working or has worked for them as I have an important letter for her at her previous address who ever answered the phone said they cant reveal whether she works for them or pass a message on. I said I am trying to help and he is not and he said yeah! Redicilous!

Very noisy. Full of groups of drunk men. Couldn't enjoy our food. Left as quickly as possible. Food was as expected for Spoons.

Por suerte logramos encontrar su bolso para él así que todo terminó bien, pero por favor , aprendan la diferencia entre alguien cuyo borracho y alguien que claramente tiene problemas , necesitan más comprensión y tener un oído comprensivo. Fue bastante triste verlo.

Personal del bar en la pelota. Mesa de pedidos y servicio de bar. Solo tragos pero he estado viendo órdenes salir. El personal constantemente, pero esto no es lo más ocupado que he visto si en las últimas semanas y el supervisor y otro personal que entrega bebidas y comida simplemente parecen mirar e ignorar los vasos en las mesas y platos vacíos. Supervisor en una camisa floreada rosa y azul y auricular caminado por mí al menos 4 veces con 2 botellas y 2 vasos en la mesa. Miró y se fue al bar. ¡Entonces cuando el bar se ocupa es como un sitio de bombas y el personal corre como un ciervo en los faros! Trabaje más inteligentemente y no más duro y agarre los vasos, platos y botellas mientras camina por las mesas. ¡No te quita tiempo de dónde vas o qué estás haciendo! Chico corredor con el pelo largo y barba. Siempre en la pelota. No se detiene. Gestión de bares 12 años

Worst customer service skills, very rude in talking to customers manager is worst in understanding things, I would never suggest anyone to go there, I had a worst and terrible experience

Budget pub. Recommended for students. Night of games, arcade machines and good food.

You can't beat this place for service and price. Alright the quality of the food isn't fantastic but it does the job when looking for a quick bite to eat.

The fish and chips was cold and really unpleasant. I had to leave most of it. Disappointed... I just left it and walked out. Standard slipped.

One of the best spoons we have been to. You can order from food and drinks straight to your table using QR code or by going to bar. Drinks and food came out quite quick and were all great. Burger and a soft drink for £8.49! Friendly staff and clean pub. Would recommend as everywhere else in Cambridge was over priced food wise.

The cheapest pub in town. Breakfast in the morning. During the day, classic food popular in England, i.e. burgers, curry, pizza, ramen, baked potatoes... Prices are low, quality is usually decent. Everyone will find something that suits them. Nice coffee (lavazza) with unlimited refills. Convenient ordering of dishes via the app. I've been to about 30 different locations of this chain (weatherspoon) in England and this is one of the more pleasant ones.

Very busy on Saturday's you have to get there early to get a seat not for me.

Absolutely amazing place, breakfast menu is awesome and full of options and customizations. Ordering is done trough QR code where you are redirected to website and choose everything you would like. Free refills on tea/coffe/hot chocolate are so good - awesome taste Food, where to begin, it's awesome, every bite is heaven especially their bacon. And the prices? For the amount of delicious food their super cheap. Definitely recommend to visit here.

A great place to stop and have a quick drink and something to eat before shopping in Cambridge for the afternoon. Pleasant atmosphere and good value pricing for food and drinks. A good range of food choices including a varied children's menu.

A "spoons" in the beautiful surroundings of a former luxury cinema in the city centre. Plenty of space, and a big roofed semi-external area for smokers. Good food and fast service.

Given a very burnt muffin, took it back. Brother's was similarly burnt. No quality control in this case! Had to wait quite some time for it, and again, once I was given a non-burnt version.

Worst service experience I have ever had. I ordered and payed for eggs benidict. Where I was told at the counter that the machine that poaches the eggs was broken. They said they would fry two eggs instead. I asked if they knew how to poach an egg. Because if it was me I wouldn't have thought anything about boiling some water and doing 2 poached eggs. But no they wouldn't do that. Brought out 2 dirty looking glasses to drink from and knives and forks. Basically they were the least motivated lazy working people I've ever met . What happened to customer service skills . Won't eat there again. If I could give minus point I would.

This pub is very good, with good table space and good food and a wide variety of draft beer. I've been back several times.

The food was good and, especially, cheap compared to other places in this city. However, it doesn't seem like a very civilised place. I saw security taking a man out of the pub very aggressively with the help of other folks who pulled his hair, and people randomly getting undressed (?). There was gum in my chair which got my clothes dirty. Some of the staff were unnecessarily rude.

The food was quick but a total let down!!!

Had the small breakfast and coffee. Very reasonable price in a genuinely British setting. But why are these people drinking beer from the morning? It's very tempting.

I was at the bar waiting to get served when I got told by the manager I would not be getting served any more because I was too drunk when I had only had one drink. When they realised it was not me that was too drunk he and another member of staff did apologise but then I was ignored at the bar for about 15 minutes. When I politely asked a member of staff if I would get served where I was standing she rudely and aggressively said “I’ve got tickets in my had you can clearly see what I am doing”

It's a wetherspoons. It's exactly as you'd expect, and perfectly good if that's what you are expecting.

Well...this is an okay spoons. The layout is nice. Very good open space Not enough fruit machines for my liking, I have to say I could have done with a few more. The design of the building within is regal as the name suggests and overall I'd say that the service was very quick for how Extremely busy it was, this was on a Friday night Mind - so as to be expected. The drinks were good. The food was just mediocre as it always tends to be in the spoons. Nothing outstanding but nothing poor. Especially for the price is pretty good value and the drinks are as well. The toilets were all right just with the locks on the cubicles worked properly. But a little warning. I'm certainly someone who likes to preserve my health if you're in here when it's busy often, expect your hearing to be severely damaged in the near future. I was in here for about 5 hours till closing at 2:00 AM and by the time I had left I couldn't hear properly until the next day and I had constant ringing in my ears. This is no nightclub for sure, but it definitely damages your hearing in the same way it can truly get chaotic, but of course this is a city Cambridge The population is surplus so I can forgive it as I expect this level of noise for city pub, especially one that's a spoons. Not very happy with the security though, There's no need to ID if I look old enough. It's just a waste of time and some of the security they're employing here looks like they couldn't even deal With a mild threat and they look more interested in eyeing up the Beers themselves. It seems like a mostly student hangout on nights Which frustrates me because drunk teenagers are probably the worst type of drunk. I'm not a massive drinker and the atmosphere was just so unbearable But for what it offers it's just fine. Overall, It's ok With what it had to offer just not with the hearing loss.

Budget Pub Big menu. The prices are amazing, only £26 and we got 2 meals! I know the food is not the best. But thinking of the prices, you will take everything easy. I thought the portions would be very small because of the prices, but it's not. The portions were enough for everyone. Everything tasted alright. Except the sirloin was a bit chewy. The steak sauce was cold. The service was efficient. It was busy but the food delivered quickly. No service charges as you need to order at the bar. While other luxury restaurants, cafes and bakeries. They charged so much that your expectations are going to be much higher. Much harder to get the best ratings. The pub was much bigger than I expected. But the tables and seats were clean. There are plenty of toilets and each unit is big. Not everyone can afford eating in luxury restaurants/cafe, at least the majority can afford to eat in the Regal. As it's almost 2 times cheaper than other restaurants.

A former cinema. Only Wetherspoon in Cambridge and surrounding areas. But there are definitely alternatives in Cambridge. However, Wetherspoon is cheaper.

the food is sometimes good and sometimes it’s not i usually get the gourmet sirloin steak and it’s quite disappointing recently because i always get well done but it was literally medium rare last time i got it the chips are amazing though absolutely love them plus it’s very very loud and quite crowded any day of the week in the evenings. the staff at the bar is very very friendly and nice but most of the staff serving food isn’t. Also it’s impossible to find staff when you already got your food it’s so hard to find staff

Unbelievably cheap full vegetarian breakfast with unlimited drink refills, less than £8. For that reason only four stars from me.

Great time Unlike other Weatherspoons the toilets are on the ground floor no stairs to climb. Great friendly staff lovely food excellent beer selection, not overly expensive.

Nice old building on two levels

The food is often luke warm or certain items are cold while other items are hot on the same plate ! As a regular customer I've noticed this has happened too often. Wakey, wakey, the chef. Avoid the potato curry and other curries Utterly tasteless, where is the curry or spice ? Although, the Bar service is good and prices are a bargain.

Top service! It's actually worth it.

A Spoons as a Spoons should be, large selection of drinks beer, cider, gin, whiskey and vodka... on several floors and several bars... The tables are regularly cleared and cleaned, which unfortunately you don't find at every Spoons, But everything in The Regal is clean and tidy. The service is friendly and courteous and the security ensures peace and quiet. We would love to come here again.

Regal is a great place to eat traditional English Breakfast at a reasonable price. My sister and I had a lovely breakfast and only paid £15 for the both including hot drinks. The staff were very nice and attentive, checking on us a few times to see if we needed anything. Thank you very much for a lovely morning and nice atmosphere.

Fui al bar a pedir comida y bebida y pregunté cómo es que la Stella era de £ 4. 80 y la camarera bajita estaba muy molesta diciendo que ese es el precio mate. Dije que es el Monday Club y ella se molestó y pidió que alguien más me ayudara. Le dije que estabas teniendo un mal día y ella me ignoró y miró hacia otro lado. El otro fue servicial y me dijo Monday Club está terminado. Dije que solo vine por el Monday Club y me fui. 2a vez que me han llamado mate por el personal del bar. Sé que tienen un trabajo difícil pero deben ser amables y no ventilar su ira por pagar a los clientes.

A large and well run pub that was fairly busy when we visited during the day yesterday (28.11.24). Ordering from the app with direct service to your table is a brilliant initiative from Wetherspoons. I know some Folks don't like it but it simply works allowing the staff to be far more productive resulting in happier and better spending punters. The food is good, honest "Pub Grub" stuff; It's not going to win any Michelin Stars but it doesn't pretend to be so. Value for money is also very good...Four Drinks, Two Mains & Two Sides came to a shade over £30. But the real star of The Regal are the Staff. They were constantly turning tables, helping Folks, delivering food & drinks and any number of other tasks that we do not see. All with a friendly and helpful air...Honestly, these Guys earn their money and then some. Wetherspoons; You should be very proud of the Team at The Regal. I would like to give a shout out to the Lady who looked after us the most whilst in there; Rachel. Honestly, what a STAR that Lady was.

I only go for a full English breakfast but it's hearty with all the trimmings and bottomless gourmet coffee from machine.... Interior is well presented with lots of local history on the walls It was once a cinema as a kid the chap usher wore a terrible wig brown over grey!

A massive weatherspoons and really liked it.

As a dyslexic I have trouble reading the menu, being helped by a really nice young lady serving, then was rudely interrupted by a customer, so her colleague took over in very abrupt manner, totally got my order wrong. I ate politely and greatful for the loaded chips, was asked everything was ok buy a young lady in charge, I explained... Anyway the regal is what it is a spoons at the end of the day.

There was 3 of us in are party, 2 of the meals were great but 1 was so small you'd think it was a kid's meal except the kids meals came with more sides and cost less

When on a Saturday night, felt like I walk into the local youth club. That's just an observation, I still enjoyed a creamy pint and moved on to somewhere more chilled.

Super rude bouncer. I was inside with my friends, I had to go out to get something and when I came back he started shouting that I would have to wait 30 mins to get in again so I left because my friends would not be there by then. Terrible employee who should not be doing this job if he cannot work under pressure.

The food is good, a lot of atmosphere, a lot of people, they have a lot of affordable gastronomic offerings and appreciation. Service is not its strong point, but it is something that is already known, a student place, good food at an acceptable price. They also have a wide variety of cocktails and drinks.

We visited 22/10/24 for a meal before attending a gig at the corn exchange drinks arrived promptly,food 5 minutes later on first taste it was cold so l took it straight back returned to me still cold , staff were not bothered an unacomading nice old building but would avoid for food
