It's a nice little place good food and amazing service just a bit annoyed the bucket I brought for my little brother broke with about 10 minutes.

There are a few different flavours and a few different ways to eat it - normal cones, dipped or plain waffle cones, sundaes, 99’s etc. on the promenade you can’t miss the shop as there is also seating to have a rest and talk while eating. At £2.80 for a medium 99, £3.50 for a sundae it’s not too expensive.

Just lovely. Could sit here all day. Scones lovely and toastie very cheesy Lovely owner and staff. The location is right on the promenade. This will be our stop when in Cromer Thank you.

Service was incredibly slow. Do not come here unless you have half an hour to waste. Drinks were average, nothing special. Unless there’s no queue I wouldn’t waste your time.

We stopped mid-walk along the promenade and we all had a delicious toastie each and hot drinks, lovely staff and perfect spot with a sea view.

Wow what a great place, service is exceptional so friendly and great prices if your in Cromer this is a must visit. This is our favourite place to come now and we will continue to.

I visited here with my husband for a midweek snack. Neither of us had been before. There is no dedicated parking. We parked up in Cromer itself where there is a mix of free and paid parking. If you are disabled, there are spaces along the seafront itself. We wanted coffee and some doughnuts and chose here as it was the closest to where we were on the beach. We were served by a very young girl. You order through a hatch in the side of the cafe. We couldn't see any prices or menu anywhere so just guessed (hoped) they did doughnuts. We asked for a bag of doughnuts and the girl replied "errrr....yeah that's fine" and looked behind her rather puzzled. I'm not sure if they don't often get asked for doughnuts or it was her first day or something but she seemed very confused. She asked how many we wanted. My husband replied "how much are they and what quantities do you do?" The girl replied they did bags of four or eight but we could have whatever we wanted. We ordered six (still unsure how much it would cost us) and a latte. We were then told to collect them when they were ready from around the side of the cafe. This was confusing as we didn't know if to move further down and stand and wait or if we had to leave the one way system and rejoin a different queue from a different hatch at the side. So we just hovered and worried in a very British way. The doughnuts came and we took them further down the seafront to eat them. The coffee wasn't nice. It was almost sour in it's taste and bitter. I had one sip and left the rest. The doughnuts were also poor. They were warm. And they were a decent size. But they tasted VERY bought in. They looked and tasted like doughy, spongy bought in doughnuts, not the ones that are made on site along a conveyor belt and cooked in oil. I had one bite and didn't eat any more. Six doughnuts and a coffee cost us just under £8. The doughnuts were edible. But not pleasant and very synthetic. The coffee wasn't nice. We wouldn't go back. However, all the other reviews seem to be very good, so maybe we just ordered something that isn't their speciality and on a bad day.

Great little place on the West Promenade a stones throw from the beach. Small but decent selection of fresh cakes and doughnuts. Decent amount of outsized seating for its size. Staff very friendly and happy to help

Even in the rain sometimes you need ice cream while at the beach. Although I don't think the Marshfield ice cream is local, it is delicious. This cafe had a lot more than ice cream on offer, but even if you start there I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We stopped for a drink and ice cream which was lovely. Perfect location on the seafront, just what we needed after running around after a toddler. Lady who served us was really friendly.

We hired a beach it from the Reef Stop what a wonderful Derryk welcome and lovely lady! The hut has six chairs and a large table and is a home from home with seaside themed decor. Dump your stuff and have a wander then sit back and enjoy the sunset. It made our trip. Don’t want to tell you all about it really! It’s our secret place now!

We had planned a visit to Cromer, and on a whim decided to try and hire a beach hut for our visit. Kathy was the person to contact, we managed to get a lovely little hut, near her delightful little cafe( lovely flapjacks BTW), and near all ‘conveniences’, perfect. Kathy and her team are so helpful and friendly, and keeping smiling in these difficult times. Many thanks.

Stopped at the Reef Stop whilst dog walking in Cromer for a coffee and hot chocolate and meet with very friendly and efficient service with a smile and priced reasonably. I will stop here again without doubt.

Lovely cafe , great staff but they put sugar in there cheese scones mix ! Honestly they are horrible Apart from that it’s in a perfect location !

Visited the reef stop today only intending to have a cup of tea but decided to try the waffles what a great decision was greeted by very polite and helpful staff sat down and had said waffles wow everything was spotlessly clean and well organised will definitely be back what a little gem

This small cafe provides amazing service, cheap prices, exceptionally helpful staff and very dog friendly. I could not rate highly enough. A seating area to sit and look at those amazing views. A gem on the Cromer seafront x

We'd walked for a mile or so up the coast then came back into Cromer ready for a pit-stop. I can honestly say the scones here were among the best I'd ever tasted. Perfect place for a snack and people watching!

Called this morning for a snack.Lovely welcome with a smile. Very reasonable prices, two teas and two lovely fresh scones with jam and butter £6.50.The tide was in and the sun was shining, very enjoyable.There was a sanitising station and all tables were regularly cleaned with antibacterial spray.

Well organised in these unusual times. Friendly service, good cups of tea, tasty toasties and yummy cheese scone. With a sea view, who could ask for more?

Got stung today in the sea by a weaver fish. Really hurt and could hardly walk.No lifeguards anywhere so went to this shop. Owners were so helpful and gave me vinegar and boiling water and felt better in no time. Thank so much for the kindness and what an excellent advert for Cromer- boys had great ice creams too!

We called here for a coffee during a morning stroll around Cromer. Nice coffee at a reasonable price and with a good view. A great place to watch the world go by.

Good strong coffee and the best tuna mayonnaise sandwich on the planet - just how I would have made it. Lovely sea views too as it's right on the prom.

Called by for perfect snack away from the crowd in the centre of Cromer.Ice cream 🍨 made with Norfolk strawberries 🍓 a perfect delight.

I can’t have gluten which Is difficult at a sandwich based restaurant but the owner/person in charge was so kind and provided me with a lovely bacon salad. Absolutely brilliant, definitely recommend!

Been coming to Cromer for more than 10 years as a family and this is the 3rd year of the RFC operating and still as good as in year 1!Great choice and great product - service with a smile. Excellent spot to sit on the promenade that skirts Cromer and it’s pretty pier. You can look out over the sea while the breeze refreshes after a walk on the beach. The Reef Stop staff are lively and friendly, the toasted tea cakes and coffee delicious. I will definitely return.

Walked from west Runton to Cromer along the beach cake across this place and had a couple of sandwiches and ice cream then walked back.very good food and service highly recommended

If Cromer is the Gem of the Norfolk Coast then this cafe must be a "Gem of Cromer's Seafront". You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier welcome.

Great service with very friendly staff. Toasties are very good as are the milkshakes and they have a water bowl for the dogs 😊

What an absolute gem of a find on Cromer seafront. Polite, helpful and real friendly service goes a long way these days, when a lot of people I come across in my daily life are complete ‘Mood Hoovers’.Sandwiches and toasties were very well received by family and whilst as a Coeliac I was unable to have any at least they had a selection of snack bars which I could choose from. Proper cups for coffee too. Awesome

The cafe is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The food was excellent and enhanced by a beautiful view of the beach. A bonus to all of this is that the public toilet next to the cafe are very clean especially for public toilets . Worth a visit for sure

Loved this little place. We rented a beach hut from them, very reasonable price, £10 for a weekday, £25 for the weekend. It had great wheelchair access for me, a nice ramp to a clean loo, then straight on to The Reef Stop, run by a lovely Northern lady, and her husband.

A little gem at the seaside and extremely friendly and good service. Lovely setting on a sunny day. Quality all around. Even managed to fine flying saucers sour fruit flavours. Not had in over 40 years!

Arriving in Cromer on a bank holiday weekend we had some difficulty parking but if we had parked somewhere else we may never have found this lovely cafe and beach huts. A spur of the moment decision we asked if one of the 3 beach huts we had seen advertised for daily hire were available and we were delighted to find we could take the last one. Decorated simply but very seaside themed these huts come with 6 chairs and a good sized table but no other facilities as such but there is nothing better than watching people promenade along the front in the rain whilst we were comfortable in shelter. From the excellent Reef Stop Cafe I ordered a cream tea, some delicious flapjacks and rocky roads, coffee and later on an excellent Tuna Melt served with a lovely fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. We then went to see a fabulous show on Cromer Pier, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels performed by the local operatic society and returned to the beach hut later, after the cafe had closed to set up for a wonderful fish and chip supper we collected from Number 1 a few minutes away. It was the perfect day in Cromer, thank you.

Being honest, this place serves very basic food. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, a few cakes, tea, coffee and ice cream. But they do it well. Fed the whole family for a very reasonable price, everyone well fed and happy, we ended up staying for more drinks and cake. Lovely location, friendly owners, great laid back vibe, what's not to like?

we stopped here for just a quick drink whilst on holiday last week ...I had a milkshake and must say it was the best ever !!...the price was very good and the staff friendly and helpful .....we will definitely be back to try the food next time

Really nice people serving excellent value coffee. Cold snacks only but really handy for the beach. This is a handy location for families using the north east side of the pier.

We go to this lovely cafe most mornings for coffee and to meet with friends. The coffee is the best and the proprietors, Cathy and Chris, are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I certainly recommend a visit to the Reef Stop.

An excellent new refreshment stop on the west promenade of Cromer sea front . Good outdoor seating and a simple but satisfying menu : Hot and cold drinks , light snacks, cakes and scones

The friendly staff looked after my kit while I did a long training swim then kindly let me use the shower and changing facilities in the nearby block- will be back for coffee and icecream often- thanks very much!

Always our morning tea/coffee or lunch stop when in Cromer. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very child friendly being next to the brilliant children's play area and to the Bagot goats of course! Spotlessly clean toilets and a shower nearby.

What a great little coffee stop. I popped in for a coffee and snacks and sat on the chairs provided out the front, which overlook the sea. We had two children and two dogs with us, my boys played in the pirate ship playground (right next to us) and i enjoyed watching the passers by.

Had THE best cup of coffee early one morning while enjoying the peace and quiet that only an early morning cup of coffee brings :) John was great and I returned for an ice cream on Carnival Day - the place was packed with happy customers. Great ice cream and friendly staff- I will be back and thoroughly recommend!

We always stop here whenever we visit Cromer, very friendly staff, good cup of tea, homemade scones. According to the children the best slush around! Lots of choice, not only refreshments but everything you need for the beach to! Excellent view across the sea.

This is a traditional seaside beach cafe - outdoor chairs and tables, hot/cold drinks, cakes, ice creams, bucket and spade, inflatables, etc. We just had a cup of tea and watched people going by. Very nice.

We visit Cromer every week and on the way back to the car we like to stop for a cuppa. The Reef stop is situated on the pier with views across to the sea, The staff are always friendly and the food is good, to us it's a great place to end our day out would really recommend you give it a try.

After a walk along the beach and a paddle from west runton,you come across a cafe called the reef stop on Cromer sea front,it's sell ices and coffee and food.nice views of the beach.the strawberry sorbet is lovely and refreshing after a long hot walk.give it a visit.

What a day ... part of me doesn’t want to write this review for fear of making it that popular that we won’t be able to book again ( which we will 100% be doing ) ... fantastic friendly service ... the huts are beautifully decorated and clean ... perfectly situated with easy access to toilets , showers , water and the Reef shop ...

My 11 year old boys said it was “The best slush ever” which believe me is high praise indeed. My little girl was over the moon with the flag she bought from the small shop. Personally I thought the service was really friendly and it was a good cup of tea.

I have never reviewed before but after the excellent custormer service at the reef stop in Cromer I felt they needed some recognition for all their hard work. They couldn't have done enough for us when we visited at the weekend. I left feeling I had met some new friends and can't wait to be back.

What a great place stopped with family for a drink the people were really friendly and the drinks were great.

We were in Cromer for the Antiques Road Show on a very hot day with our two dogs. We had run out of water whilst I was queuing and my wife keeping the dogs happy. She found the Reef Stop and the toilets next door to it and was trying to fill the water bottles up there. The guy from the Stop saw this and brought their dog bowls with fresh water and filled up our bottles. They weren't even open at this time.

My girlfriend and I were here on Thursday and the lady serving was really friendly and helpful even though we only had two pots of yea, very clean facilities adjacent Will definitely return thank you
