Still the same excellent, unspoilt pub. The sort of place you can go for a chat or just have a drink and read a Limited to pizzas now in the food line but they're very good.

Whenever I'm in Bromley I visit the Red Lion with my wife in the early evening and relax with a cold cider. The outdoor area is always beautifully decorated with lots of flower plants. See you next time!

Return visit to this great pub after more than thirty five years. Not much has changed in the intervening time, the beer's still served bright and it's bar service with a smile. Long may that continue!

What an absolute gem of a pub. Like stepping into a classic boozer in central London. The land couple are absolutely fantastic. Pizza was better than most you’d get in the high street. I’d make this my local if it wasn’t a short cab fare away.

Really good backstreet local. Good atmosphere. The food has changed to pizza only. I can't comment on how the pizzas are as I haven't had one. I cannot comment on the pizzas as I don't eat them. However they do seem to be popular.

Been a while since we visited. And was asked to be quiet. Very strange for a pub maybe a library but not a pub. So we left. Used to be one of my favourites around the area. We used to visit them all but this is now off the list which is unfortunate.

Very good pub in a quiet back street not far from Bromley North Station and the town centre. Five cask beers on handpump when I visited. A few tables outside at the front. The friendly locals pub offers a pizza menu and well kept real ales.

Back in the very early 1970s, I used to live in nearby Palace Road. We called the area The Golden Square, simply because we had The White Horse, The Anglesea Arms, The Freelands Tavern, The Crown and Anchor and The Red Lion...all within a 5 minute walk of each other. It was a truly wonderful time to live in, what was basically a village within a town. A Friday night could be spent visiting all 5 pubs and you knew that each would offer something unique to your evening. It's been many a year since I left the area, but I returned to The Red Lion on Saturday and it was like stepping back to those heady days of the early 1970s. Quite amazingly the present owners have been there for 30 years...which is testament to their business and the pull of this wonderful 'village' pub. Great beers and ales, friendly and welcoming owners and staff... and even the locals no longer bite!!! Highly recommended.

Fantastic Pub, best Guinness Away From Dublin

Often voted the best kept beer in Bromley. 3 regular ales and 2 guest ales every week .. plenty of outdoor seating and food (including freshly made pizza) served throughout the day. Very friendly and welcoming Still the same, excellent beers, always kept impeccably and a great pub for those well deserved refreshments Is there any more to add? Only the fact the Lion has been managed by Chris and Siobhan for 30 years and the reputation they have created is still there... Certainly one of, if not THE best kept and presented ale in the locality

Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Pizza is worth trying as they are really nice. The drinks are cheaper than other pubs around in Bromley.

Highly unpleasant experience at the Red Lion last night. Part of a group that came in for drinks. The boys were playing darts, joined by one girl. A short stocky woman (don't know if she was the landlady) came and told the girl playing darts to mind her language. She then said if she was a bloke, then swearing would be ok, just not coming from a female. Locals looked at us when we walked in, made us feel very unwelcome. Unpleasant, unfriendly pub, would not recommend at all.

A Very Good Pub - providing outstanding hospitality for local residents and visitors alike . The beers are particularly refreshing. Service is friendly and prompt. If you are feeling a little peckish try the Cheeseburger and Chips or a Lion-Share fry up! Why in the name of Sweet Lord Jesus the landlords are not marketing this fine establishment as a Gastro-Pub is mind boggling beyond the realms of comprehension.

Ideal on thursday night we were hungry ,dieing for a glass or 2 of wine had important things to talk about and we were served by a delightful young lady who was polite and totally capable ,we were happy say no more

Im a regular drinker on a Friday night, the owners are a friendly couple who have had the pub for over 25 years, great pub grub, never seen any trouble in my 10 years of going in there and the Real Ale is always tip top, Harveys Best is always on, unbelivable quality beer on offer. Lovely customers but a shame about the landlord. Wouldn't get a chair for my 90 year old mother who wanted to be at their 21st anniversary of taking over the pub. He wouldn't get a chair for another customer on crutches!

Very cosy pub situated just on the outskirts of Bromley. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of people enjoying a pint and the football or just reading the paper. One wall is filled with hundreds of books to pick up and have a look at. Lovely little pub, would definitely visit again.

My favourite pub. Pass about 12 others in order to get here. Beer excellently kept and pub food fantastic value for money. Chris and Siobvan do a fantastic job running and upkeeping the pub. The reception you receive is always warm and welcoming. Staff are fantastically trained and are as welcoming and friendly as the management. The locals are friendly and always up for a good laugh. Struggle to recommend the pub highly enough. Thank you for all your hard work.

Best pub in Bromley, possibly in London but I haven't drunk in them all . Landlords and barmaidse extremely friendly cannot fault it .

In over 50 years of drinking I've never been to a better pub. Some as good but none better. The beer is beautifully kept, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is calm and civilised. On crucial match days it's less calm but still civilised.
