We came here as a group of approximately 20 for my nextdoor neighbours 85th birthday. We were sat at some tables in an area of the pub so would could all be together which was great. The pub did a buffet which was very nice and enough for everyone to have a good feed! The drinks were good and not too expensive. All in all this was a very enjoyable evening and I would recommend this venue to anyone in the area. Thank you Red Lion for making my neighbour's birthday one to remember 👍

The Red Lion is a traditional British Pub offering excellent food, drink and great hospitality. The Steak & Ale Pie is home made and is probably the best that you could get anywhere. A great place to meet, eat and drink.

Lovely place for a pint and bag of crisps in the sun out in the beer garden.

Although the event was for a unpleasant reason, the staff were great and my mum's wake was as good as could be expected.

Excellent hot well cooked food, served by staff very well, all taking Covid safety precautions, tables spaced apart well, lovely atmosphere. Big car park. Nice area for children to play.

We were there for a rather sad occasion and they looked after us perfectly. Thankyou so much. X

Lovely local. Great landlady and we were made to feel very welcome. Ale was well kept although a more imaginative choice of ales would be the only suggestion.

We visited here this Wed eve for our dad's birthday meal, the food is very good value, homemade and delicious. It is a shame that they only serve food Tues and Wed evening and weekday lunches, as difficult for us to usually go mid week. But would thoroughly recommend and hope to go again one day.

Been many times but not for a while, god knows why i go anywhere else, if you want proper pub meals and i don't mean pretentious crap that you get with many of the large pub chains come here, not a massive menu but enough for the good food connoisseur, fast ser vice in a nice country pub environment and extra special puddings, unbeatable.

Eaten here many times at Lunch Time and the home cooked food is just fabulous. Desserts are absolutely fabulous. Great service and great value for money.

I work away a lot in and out of the country. But the red lion is a welcome home every time. It is always a warm and friendly environment. The service is beyond reproach, always happy. The staff are a real credit to the Everards brand!! I would recommend this pub! Please keep up the good work Red Lion, especially Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

We called in last night on our way back from walking the dogs. Relaxed and friendly village pub which is pet friendly and children & families welcome. It was a lovely summer evening so we sat outside and enjoyed our beers.

About 14 of us had pre booked lunch prior to a local walk. There were other largish groups already in when we arrived and tables of 2 and 4 as well. The kitchen must be so well managed! The food came out timely. Excellent food whatever you ordered. The Roast Beef dinner was superb. Lovely meat, very good quality and lots of it plus plenty of vegetables and potatoes. And at under £5 this was outstanding value. Would have loved to have tried the desserts but too much eaten on the main! The beer was well kept and staff pleasant. The only disappointment was the beer I intended trying had run out but there were 3 other options. So an excuse to go back sometime soon!

Amazing staff and a friendly atmosphere.

I visited this pub which is in my area, with three friends. As soon as you walk into the bar area you feel welcome and the smell of food being cooked. It is not a large eating area, but the tables are very clean and a nice touch of a little plant on each table. The staff were very nice, and the main thing was that we did not wait long for the food to be served. In all it was a very pleasant evening and the food was really good. Will certainly have a return visit well done Red Lion.

Lovely visit for a family Christening celebration. Beautifully home cooked buffet and lots of it and an enjoyable afternoon spent in the lovely garden sipping quality G&T's.

Went here for lunch today with my friend. Great home cooked food at a reasonable price. Homemade pies to salads, then banana splits to homemade cherry Bakewell. Friendly service. Worth a visit.
