Great little old school boozer, good beer at a very fair price, good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

We called in for a couple of drinks and we were made really welcome,the drink is reasonable and great quality as well. The bar staff were really friendly as were Ellie and Dale the new landlady and landlord. Great old school pub.

Customer service is appalling in this pub, the bar staff have tonight been throwing ice cubes at each other behind the bar. Their focus seems to be wholly on their fun n not on keeping the customers happy.

Weekend manageress appalling manners,was talking about chucking beer over a customer !Toilets like 1970s stinking of piss.

My friend and I have been going to this pub for a few weeks on a weekday after wearherspoon closed for referb. Arrived on Saturday before Christmas so the wives could go to bingo ,my friend gets 2 pints ready for my arrival to be told I couldn't get in because I've got joggers on ,I hadn't but these are the rules so asked if my friend could bring my beer to the door no to that . So my friend gave the 2 pints to one of the guests in the pub who had jeans on but looked like he was homeless . But then to make things worse woman from behind the bar smoking outside starts to tell the security guard that she's had enough and wants to throw beer on customers . I believe this woman was in charge. I'm 53 and my friend is 68 both business owners it's not like we're yobs. Rule 1. Look after new customers Rule 2 fix your leaky toilets because your pub smells of piss. .

Smashing place, quality drinks at good prices, polite staff, what more do you need.

Must be one of the cheapest places to drink in wake. Watch sport. Hard working staff.

Just called in for quick wine and toilet stop, very busy and friendly Atmosphere.

Friday night is karaoke night which is fine but the MC spent the whole hour we were there shouting down the microphone. It's a good atmosphere if you're into that kind of thing/bladdered. Really cheap and good pints. MOT

Great little pub, warm and welcoming. Love the Beer selection too! Also I love the Raven link with the Beer. A real hidden gem down a side street in Walkley! An old traditional pub but with a clean, trendy twist, just what you want! Food menu looks great and I bet the Beer garden is a real sun trap ...will be back to eat on a sunny day! Thank you

A good meetup place for a beer and early natter with mates,,pleasant staff.

A member of staff called Craig came from behind the bar to try and have a go at my husband who had been waiting to get served for 15minuites and totally ignored so asked if anyone was going to serve him and this so called Craig totally lost it ,,I'm a wheelchair user and rely on my husband to help me if anything has happened to him I would not have been able to help,, totally unprofessional and I'm reporting him Monday morning,,he seemed to had a few himself tbh

Wow how cheap is this place something ridiculous lime £2 A pint. Don't know how they do it but a fab afternoon boozer. Always people in up for a good laugh, natter and a bet on the gee gees. Lovely landlady very pleasant and ready to socialise. If your in Wakefield definitely a pub to find. Just round the corner from boots opticians.
