The food was massive and sweet. The servers we're really nice. Even had a robot server 🤖.

The food was great but I don’t like the way they operate. Orders are made on a tablet and call me old fashioned but I like to be able to view the menu as a whole and not have to scroll through categories. You can’t even put the food through yourself, you have to wait for a member of staff to come do that for you, so why not just take our order the normal way? A robot brings the food to the table but someone walks next to it and has to take the food off the robot and hand it to you, so what’s the point? Their policy is that you have to pay before receiving your food because they’ve had too many people walk out. Maybe the staff should pay more attention to their customers and less to their phones and social conversations to avoid walk outs. One of the workers was sat at a table watching videos on his phone so loud that we could hear everything. Really unprofessional! I’m not saying don’t try the food but get it as a take away because the dine in experience is disappointing.

Restaurant is always amazing- food comes fast, staff always helpful and the restaurant just looks amazing too! Deliveries are always on time/early and always friendly drivers. Always fulfils special request too! Special mention to the staff member “Jojo” too!

Ordered 3 desserts for delivery at £25. One was an ice cream sundae at £8. The ice cream was melted and virtually had to drink it - disappointed for the price - won’t order from there again.

Enjoyed a birthday treat here with my daughter. The ice cream sundaes we chose were delicious! (Kinder bueno and red velvet), and so was the raspberry mocktail. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.

Location and ambience is good. No site parking, only street or public parking. Hygiene and staff service needs to improve. Overall a good place for a family time out for a dessert.

We came to Rassams to fill our bellies after a disastrous meal in another restaurant. We ordered a large white chocolate cookie dough and a biscoff waffle, both with ice cream to share. We ate them all. Both were delicious. The only negative is the loud, obnoxious robot waiter, who is pointless anyway, as a waiter follows it and serves you your food anyway. It's annoying and so loud!

Come in regularly with kids to Rassams and use my student discount on a milkshake. I went in today and was told that they were not allowing student discounts in the holidays. I was able to use it last week and it was still holidays but today it’s changed. Picking and choosing when you can use your card and when you can’t! Depending on who the staff is! Can you make up your mind, can we use student discounts or not? Your staff are not very helpful!

Caters for young and old....excellent choice ,service and atmosphere. Will definitely recommend Rassams to all,also very easy to access from the railway station.

Totally not recommending, staff looks like they have problem to serve. We had waiting 25 minutes to have our order even almost empty restaurant, but food looks and taste amazing, will not back

We enjoyed our visit here, my son and his nana had been before and loved it, this was my first time and it did not disappoint. I opted for the GF New York style cheesecake and it was delicious. My son loved his ice cream, devoured it pretty quickly and his nana had a mango milkshake I think, it was great but for it being a little too thick to drink through the straw. The staff, one young man in particular entertained my son and answered all of his 1000 questions about working there. The service robot deserves a shout too! Very cute! It's clean, it's bright, nice atmosphere if not for the music being a little too loud. Definitely will be returning! THANK YOU!

Absolutely amazing place for family and friends would 100% reccomend it desserts was on point and mocktails were just perfect the staff where very lovely and kind especially yusra made us feel very comfortable

Service was poor. Was told a 15 minute wait. Fair enough. But then started seating other families that came in after us , before us.. waited 30 mins . Didn’t get an apology . Food was nice though .

Absolute diabolical service run by kids with poor manners and attitude this was a ridiculously bad experience I will not return and other places in town offer better deserts with a much more pleasing service experience perhaps the place may consider replacing most of there staff with the robot that serves the food at your table at least it smiles! Kudos to the young chap who was cleaning the floors as he was the most attentive and pleasant man who should be hosting in my opinion

There were at least 7 staff potering around, 2 were on their phones. There was only 2 lots of tables in so they were not busy at all. We walked in, went to the ice cream counter because no one initially came to seat us. We stood there for 15 minutes. Not one member of staff acknowledged us, they walked past us and completely ignored us. So after 15 minutes we left, never to return

Place was beautifully decorated a waitress called Jess was extremely courteous and polite, helpful and made everything so easy for us. Dessert was brilliant I recommend the American Fudge chocolate sundae was well worth it!! Thanks guys!

Booked a table for large amount of people for Family birthday, gave us 1 yablet between us which had 3% battery and you couldn't pay on there anyway so was a pointless task as we had to go up and split everything we had just entered in the tablet..... which then we couldn't do because the tablet had gone dead so the order didn't go through to the till properly, all came out at diffrent times so we didn't eat together had to ask numerous times for our drinks ( felt sorry for the 1 waitress they had on knowing a large table was booked in ) was just kaos from start to finish when your taking kids you don't want to be messing about like we had tp here..... needs more staff.... the tablets need ditching if you can't pay fpr your order on there anyway.. makes no sense. I asked one lady behind the counter doing drinks if I could have a stirrir or a spoon for sugar in a coffee and she shouted over the 1 waitress to do that for her.... no idea why she couldn't pass me a spoon herself .... such a disappointment it could be a gold mine!

Order was 20 minute late which wouldn’t be a problem but when it arrived my red velvet cake was a cheesecake I didn’t complain as I wasn’t waiting all night for a slice of cake and although cheesecake is my favourite this didn’t cut the custard. The partners sticky toffee pudding was really good and the vanilla ice creams was top notch, shame about the cake

Called in without a booking and managed to get a table straight away. Soooooooo much to choose from. My lad just wanted a simple ice cream and I opted for the red velvet sundae. The quality of the desserts is amazing. On a side note my little lad has autism and found the background music a little loud. We'll deffo be back but he'll take his headphones next time so it's a little quieter for him 😁

Too few staff at a busy time. Inappropriate very loud music (for staff benefit), another parent asked for the inappropriate music to be turned off. Would not go again .

Had a meal here as a teambuilding exercise for work. Very quiet as it was a Tuesday afternoon, but the food was nice and the staff were polite. Some good conversations, service took a little longer than we’d hoped but overall was a lovely outing.

Went on Saturday afternoon with 2 small toddlers who were getting fidgety. Were shown to a booth & given an iPad to order. Was ages before anyone came back to take the iPad from us with our order. I asked if we could have our ice creams quickly but were told someone had an order in before ours. Waited absolutely ages for the ice creams to come, with toddlers who kept asking where the ice cream was. We would have simply left & gone elsewhere but we had to pay on ordering. There were 2 staff waiting on tables, and 3 staff stood about behind counters simply wiping down with a cloth. When the icecream came it was ok and the waiting staff were polite, but we will not visit again. They need to scrap the iPad ordering (too many germs and takes too long), and work hard on speeding up the time it takes to serve. It’s only ice cream which is already made & just needs scooping out. It’s not like it’s a restaurant and we had to wait for the food to be made ! Will go elsewhere in future where we are allowed to stand at the counter, choose our icecream from what is on display, pay for it, & then sit down.

The service at Rassams is absolutely Shocking. We have waited 40minutes for a mocktail and over a hour for our food.

Overall, it was okay we ordered a m&m cookie dough and it was lovely however was really disappointed with the bubblegum sundae as there was no sweet treats at all and just half melted ice cream and no whipped cream. Overall probably won't order from here again

It's ok but the banana split was boring no fresh cream on it and the banana was so rock hard I couldn't eat it. The sauce wasn't nice either It tasted like chemicals. Had a pistachio waffle on my next visit. It had hardly any pistachios on it. Again pretty disappointing.

I ordered yesterday date and honey milkshake for takeaway. That was extremely..... sweet even though I couldn't drink half a glass such as an unhealthy drink ,my stomach is bad now 🙃 they should moderate, I am young and healthy person very bad experience in wakefield Rassams creamery

The food is usually good, the vegan stuff isn't though. It's very cakey and the vegan ice-cream is gummy and weird. My online order took 1hr 30 mins this Saturday. They called when the order was supposed to already be here to tell me that what I ordered wasn't available, so I accepted an alternative and it still took another 30 mins to arrive when I live a 4 minute drive away. Why not tell me earlier?

I have to say that the ice-creams are very good as are the cakes but what lets this place down is the standard of service. There seems little point in all the great furnishings and lighting etc if you have to hang around waiting for a table to be cleared. Exactly what the point is of the I-pad type menu system I'm not sure as it all seems a lot of fuss to no real benefit for the customer.

Amazing gluten free selection, had a separate section on the menu, we had cheesecake, brownie and apple pie and custard (all gluten free). Also really good value.

Visited in the afternoon on pancake day during half term. It was quite busy with people waiting in the waiting area. People were being greeted quickly and if they were willing to wait for a table to be free they could. We had booked in advance so were seated on time. Menus and ordering is done on a ipad brought to the table and then waiting staff confirm the order and take payment straight away. Although we were told there was a longer waiting time for pancakes, we were served fairly quickly. We ordered pancakes, cookie dough and icecream sundae and all were tasty and good value for money. Soft drinks were cans and water in cheap bottles and were quite expensive for what they are. Overall pleased with the service and food and would definitely return.

Beautiful place but unfortunately the service here is disgusting over an hour wait. Got taken to be seated by member of staff after waiting 20 mins i had to go ask him for a menu. Then after making a selection once again i had to get up and tell them that i was done. Appalling service staff rude what a shame for such a nice place

If the service and management was better this place would be thriving. The serving sizes are crazy big which means a lot of unfinished plates and food wasted.

The service was very poor. Takes ages and not helped by being a computer being handed to the table as the only way to place an order. Then Nobody returned to collect computer. Then each person had to leave the table to go and pay ‘before’ the order can be placed. Its not very customer freindly. They would do well to just give all folks a normal actually menu each to make things easier and far faster too, instead of playing ‘pass the computer’ from one person to the next. Takes aaaaaages ! No good . The racket in their from the machines behind the counter was seriously bad too. Heaven knows what they were doing but truly deafening. Hot drinks are reasonably priced though and nice a clean and tidy. Thats about it!

There's a sign when you go in that tells you someone will come get you and take you to a table, we stood there for 5minutes as staff walked past without acknowledging us. Non-existent customer service, waited 1hour 20minutes for food to arrive on a fairly quiet day and the staff ignored me when I told them I hadn't been given my drink after 50 minutes.

Sat in Rassams, already waited thirty five minutes for three ice creams. Two of which have been sat waiting to be brought to the table for over five minutes (I can see them from where I'm sat). Just been told third ice cream some of the flavours are unavailable, why has it took thirty five minutes to advise us...... Third ice cream has just arrived after forty minute wait. Lots of staff around, but ones making up the ice creams seem to be at snail's pace. This is our second visit here same happened last time. Will not return.

Desserts took ages to come and when they did the custard was cold had to send it back for them to reheat it for me, the peanut butter stack was also cold Did not enjoy the dessert at all Would not recommend going

10 members of staff only 3 tables when we entered so shouldn’t of been a long wait!!!!! Half hour later for just 2 sundae’s was a joke. There was more biscuit and other stuff rather than ice cream not impressed.

There was 8 of us and we popped in as one of our party wanted to go so we all decided to have a dessert. We were shown to a table at the back of the restaurant and given 1 iPad between us, so it took ages for all of us to choose. Then the iPad said call the waitress over, another 5 minutes and over she comes. Shall I confirm your order? Yes we say, but how long is it going to take ? At least 20 minutes came the reply. We all left. Now I know it’s not the waitress’s fault as she’s only doing her job, but what is wrong with walking up to the counter and placing your order there? I personally wanted 2 scoops of ice cream but I’m not willing to wait about 40 minutes to get it.

Last week we visited Rassam's, and overall it was disappointing. It wasn’t too busy on arrival, a fair amount of tables filled but not too many. We were seated quickly and given a tablet device to order on. The tablet came straight from another table after they’d finished using it, which looked unclean and felt quite unhygienic. Despite this, the tablet is a good way to scroll through the whole menu and see photographs of what they have to offer. We assumed it was used as a quick way to order, just choose what you want and confirm. But for some reason you have to wait for a staff member to come back and press the confirm button for you, (not entirely sure why). We were sat for around 10 minutes after inputting our order before someone came back to press the confirm button. We felt this was a bit poor, but did notice that there was only one waitress on shop floor attending to everyone, so despite her best efforts the service was going to be slow. We ordered two desserts and two bottles of water. We assumed two bottles of water wouldn't take too long to arrive, but after ordering we waited 30 minutes for both the food the bottles of water to arrive together. Again we thought this was quite poor as there were only a handful of tables, and don't understand why it took so long just to get the bottles of water. To eat we ordered the Oreo Sundae and the Maltesar Waffle. The food was very nicely presented, as shown on the photographs. The waffle was quite overdone was really dry, even with all of the sauce it came with. It’s a shame as the previous two times I’ve been here the waffle was really nice! The Sundae was quite nice, but I would choose something different if we came back. By the time we came to leave, every previous used tables throughout the restaurant had not been cleared away making it feel very messy. Even tables who left as we arrived were left uncleared. This wasn't the waitresses fault, as she was on her own and was rightly prioritising serving new tables, so didn't have time to clear other tables away. We would not rush back here. The food was decent and the waitress that served us was really friendly, but with the wait for food and the quality not being amazing, it made our experience not good. It could probably be solved by having a few more staff on shop floor to speed things up and give a better overall experience.

Got seated at around 5:15 and didn't get a menu until 5:40. After that, it took 10 minutes before the waiter accepted our order. 15 minutes after that, the desserts arrived and the drink came 5 minutes AFTER that! it was quite busy but the fact that people were being served and even received their food before us, considering they came in 20 minutes after was quite disgusting. Won't be back for a long while until things improve. The waitress was on her own which I thought was quite awful considering there was other staff just standing there talking to each other. Felt bad for her to be honest but she was lovely about it all.

Consistently good desserts at Rassams. So much choice and everything I've tried so far is to a high quality. The ordering system could be better. When it's busy it's a long wait I've found, but it's to be expected as it's a big store with lots of seating;

food was 40 mins later than expected time so waited 1 hour 40 mins in total paid for extras and they wasn't in the bag and also the food got made and labeled shut at 9.19pm food turned up at 10.10pm so was left on side for nearly and hour waffles was cold so didn't enjoy it

It is hard to put into words how dissatisfied i was with tonight’s visit, and I didn’t even get to order! Booked a table weeks ago, and tonight visited for my daughter’s 7th Birthday as she previously loved this place. Seated, it was quickly apparent that there was no music AT ALL playing for ambience, but instead a very loud beep broadcast over the speakers every 10 seconds. When I asked politely what the noise was, I was met with “it’s online orders, not gonna turn it off are we!”. Terrible attitude and honestly made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The worker then obviously took offence to my questioning of the air raid siren “all clear” klaxon every 10 seconds and decided it would be a good idea to leave us sat there for 25 minutes without coming over for our order or even a drink. Pathetic. Ruined my daughter’s birthday at this point and both kids were crying. So if you are looking to visit an ice cream dessert parlour and love a deathly quiet room with rude staff, zero service and what sounded like an army bleep test going on in the background, Rassam’s is the place for you. If you want to go to a dessert parlour with excellent service, good quality food with a great ambience, go where we ended up, SnowCold Creamery in Batley!

very very poor service waiting 15 mins to take the order pad then another 30 plus for my food after i complained ,they actually forgot my order and offered half price refund ,sevices then stagered so no one gets food at same time ,just a shambles of a place but food good

we are regulars and the food has always been alright, however, a few of the staff are sooo miserable. we walked into what looked like a quiet tuesday night and waited at least 3 mins to be seated in an empty restaurant. the 2 female waiters had noticed our presence however continued to talk over at the till area. While waiting for our food, a few more people had arrived and the cooking staff even had to leave their station to get the waiters to DO THER JOB and distribute what would now be cold food as it was sat there ages. Our food came greeted with a lovely frown by the staff and hardly 2 words, and was luke warm/ cold and the crepes were like rubber but i’ve had better in the past so credit where credits due. Will definitely try return when there are more enthusiastic staff on, ruined our experience. 7:30pm on tuesday 17th October 2023

Brilliant ice cream parlour, with staff that actually want to be helpful,

The food is great, but the service needs improvement. When I visited we were handed a tablet to take our orders on and then had to wait for a staff member to come and take our payments. It took around 20 minutes for anyone to see us waiting and we asked for some water to share between us at this time as well. The food arrived about half an hour later and our waitress left the table so quickly we couldn't ask about our water that hadn't arrived. I had the cookie dough, which can get quite sticky so i really did need a drink and it took about 10 minutes for us to get anyone to our table. Big disappointment because the food is delicious.

I ordered a Uber eats for this place. It took 2 hours to come. Don’t offer delivery if your that busy in the restaurant. 2 hours for a slice of cake and milkshake is just ridiculous. Really not happy. I couldn’t leave a review on the app as that for the driver.

Lovely place to go for a treat. The desserts are really big and filling. The price does reflect this. As they mainly sell ice-cream it can be chilly so a warm layer of clothing is advisable.

We visited with family as the opening hours stayed open from 11, there was no one there, no communications at all to say that they were closed, find this quite rude and not thoughtful to say the least, as we came from Leeds, wasted money on petrol and we’ve just been taken the mick out of. Will not visit again.

What a let down! Been here many times before (x20), really enjoyed it and had no problem. But its Sooooo expensive now and the service is nothing short of ridiculous its quite embarrassing that the staff as a whole just dont care and it seems its a dead end job for them. Sorry to say I won't be going back ever again.I'll have a cornetto out of my freezer instead

The desserts were Amazing and Huge, the price was really reasonable, unfortunately for us the service let us down. We had half eaten our desserts before the drinks came, we asked twice for the drinks as the children were thirsty and they still didnt come. The third time we asked they came we asked for an extra glass for the 2 mocktails these also never came.

I've never tried so sweet ice cream in my life, you would never guess the flavour of ice cream, cause all you can feel is ridiculous amounts of sugar in it, if you looking for diabetes, you are in the right place. Oh, and eating ice cream with forks is new trend?
