My stake pie was heated up in microwave pastry was like rubber, chips were from frozen and very few, peas were half cooked and still hard in the middle, never eat at that place again. Ho coffee was good.

So happy to meet Deck great friendly chap,more than helpful and happy love love The Range Queensferry,the shop, cafe, and in general like to come regularly thankyou x

After shopping at the range we decided to grab some lunch at Dee Dee cafe. Saw the burger deal so decided to order this. Firstly they forgot to make my lunch and then decided to change the offer and tell me chips were an extra. Comes with salad. Fair enough I thought but the waitress told me "next time read the offer properly" and I said there won't be a next time. Anyway, my burger arrived with chips. But then the staff member told me that I had attitude towards her and she was not happy with me. She even said she could throw me out. I am sorry but the service we received was disgusting and very poor. I said I want her manager contact details but amazing she walked off and got the store manager. We finished our average lunch and decided to leave however I checked the hamburger offer and it did say chips included. Petty I know but with this awful service I confronted the staff member again and pointed this out. She did not apologies to me, just said she will get this changed. I forced an apology from her and she shook my hand calling me "dude". This so called restaurant is run by amateurs and lack of management (no management). Even the store manager walked off not saying anything. I don't moan or complain, only if needed, and Dee Dee Cafe is a joke. Bad service and experience and would never step foot in this cafe again.

DeeDee's Cafe is falling apart. Everything is dirty, and the service is even worse. We ordered some kids lunches, 2 cream teas, and some extra fries. All the fries came raw and undercooked. The kids chicken goujons were still light pink and not even crispy. Half the stuff on the menu wasn't available as they don't have stock. And their pizza oven as the guy says have been reported ages ago as broken, but they don't care to fix it. If you want a nice shop and a meal. Go somewhere else!! The food is not good, in the end we had to take the food back and ask for a 1/3 of our money back.

There were 2 staff on duty the young boy serving the lady in front was slow but very pleasant to the customer. The older lady was doing their fries and talking and although I was next totally ignored me and served the young girl on the other side of the customer. She put the girls money in the till which was right where I was standing and never even made eye contact. As she turned to walk away I said excuse me , she never even turned round. I said oh well I will just go somewhere else. She was downright rude obviously did not want to be at work. I know its hard to get staff these days but all she had to say was "I will be with you in a minute". I most certainly won't be back.

Absolutely shocking, bacon butty 2 tiny rashers of bacon microwaved within an inch off its life, didn't even touch the sides of the bap! Staff, more energy in a depleted battery! Avoid.

We have regularly visited this branch of Dee Dee's for the last 5 years, but it erks me immensely that they charge 50p for a tiny pot of oat milk, whether you have a small or medium coffee. If I ask for more milk for the medium coffee the (very brusque & miserable) manageress insists it's another 50p! Many people now choose milk alternatives, for whatever reason, so it's not as though oat milk has to be bought in specially and it is possible to find it at around the same price as cows milk. Consequently, we often bring our own oat milk out with us, but interestingly, there's no reduction for opting for black coffee :)

Shrewsbury Range cafe My husband and I decided to pop in here for lunch with our 3 year old grandson. First problem was no jacket potatoes-it wasn’t even 1pm but apparently they had sold out. I then waited behind a couple who had a lot of problems with ordering their Burger deal, the lady serving didn’t seem to have a clue about the menu and overcharged them, this lady and one of the other staff seemed to require a conversation about this whilst seeming to forget the fact I’d been patiently waiting through this debacle. I then attempted to order my grandsons meal, a £3.75 meal comprising a sandwich, drink snack and fruit, all items were in the same area of the cabinet, I chose a bottle of water (we tend to avoid squash) a packet of quavers (only 2 choices of crisps) a ham sandwich and a strawberry yoyo ( the only other choice was an apple which was not really suitable for a 3 year old) The individual items added up to over £4.50 I tried to point out that it was advertised as £3.75, the other member of staff who had assisted with the previous disastrous order came and tried to assist but kept insisting that the drink needed to be a Fruit Shoot and the fruit an apple, I tried to point out that this choice was very limited and the other items were in the cabinet she then became very impatient with me and as the till appeared unable to accommodate a child’s meal said that’s it’s only a pound and that she would get it out of her own money and stormed through to her handbag, I left at this stage aghast at how I had been treated. The staff require training in customer service at the very least, avoid this place unless you like being treated like you are an inconvenience.

This is the 2nd visit both times waited 10 mins in the queue to be told they dont have most things. You can not get the two mains for £10 as they never have two different things being served, no pizzas being served. I ordered cottage pie, this does come with peas but no chips so I ordered chips as well. There was so few chips I could cound them no problem there was 10 for just over £2. The cottage pie was very dry and unpleasant. We will not go back again

Popped into the range for a mooch, thought we’d have a quick bite. X2 jacket potatoes with beans ordered. Both potatoes still raw, hard. Stood in line for 10 mins before handing over plates with said food. No apology given. Just “oh don’t worry I’ll sort that”. Table next to us the same with their jackets. Food replaced 10 mins or so later. Hot but still the same texture, not cooked. Not come to ask if it was any better. Next table still the same too. Not impressed. Coffee was nice tho if I need to find something positive 🙄

Came here with my mother today for lunch, both left feeling quite disappointed with the service and food. The man serving us on till clearly didn’t seem to know what he was doing, asked for a strawberries and cream frappe to which he mumbled something about not having the ingredients to do so. Was offered a Carmel or chocolate frappe instead So decided on the Carmel, I was then told he didn’t actually know how to make the drink and actually couldn’t make me one after all for some reason. I decided not to order a drink at this point, which he then remarked that he’d have to void the item off the till as if I was causing him an inconvenience When the food we ordered arrived, a cheese toastie and cheese and onion toastie, me and my mum were incredibly underwhelmed. The bread tasted cheep and the cheese had absolutely no taste to it, not to mention it was incredibly chewy. All around super disappointed with today,

Giving this review 5 stars as we were particularly impressed by the young lady serving us. She was left alone at a busy time, due to a colleague being taken ill, but she was calm and patient and just plain amazing dealing with the orders that she could and explaining to customers that she could not serve a full range of products as she was on her own. She was calm and professional when speaking to her supervisors and totally respectful when they dismissed her request for assistance. She battled on efficiently and considerately, worried that she would have to put a closed sign up while she washed dishes and cutlery, as she rushed to clear tables. This young lady is a diamond and I hope the managers realise this.

Come hear twice now service is the best food is lovely and fresh and coffee is perfect would highly recomend. Perfect to tske kids school then come hear for coffee and breakfast Also grab some bargains in the range after

Just visited here for a quick lunch with my mam doing a bit of shopping all tables wer dirty toast was soggy nothing exciting at all coffee was OK not be returning

Have just left and I am appauled The man who works here clearly needs. New job as very unhappy and miserable. I came at 2:45 not realising it shut at 3 and he obviously wants to go home Was given a jacket potato with cheese and beans flopped Onto a coffee plate with no room to even cut it No salad… nothing! They were more amused to sit round a table together gossiping The women who works here was also eating a jacket potato hers looked lovely with a nice salad on the side Do your job properly or don’t do it at all!

Went to cafe yesterday. Had toasted cheese and onion on brown bread. Bread was cheap and cheese tasteless really not nice. Well over priced for what it was, only had it because I have to eat with my condition. Rip off. Won’t go there again.

In the range in Swansea in dee dees. Could just about find 1 knife in the tray that wasn't covered in old food. Absolutely disgusting

Cafe was lovely. Staff friendly. Sue and ang I think there names were are an asset to your team. I went in to your ladies toilets and it wasnt great. One door was broken and 2 toilet seats were also broken. Toilet roll on the floor also. Your toilets really let you down.

Came here with friends for coffee and a catch up. All of us received a rude and unfriendly welcome . My latte was cold when asked for it to be heated I was told “microwave over there”. Cost me £5.60 for a cold latte and 2 pieces of toast to which I had to buy extra butter as 2 patties is nowhere near enough and some jam. I had to go and collect my toast even though the cafe was empty. The server was so rude and drinks so rubbish my friends and I will not being returning anytime soon. I you ask me avoid like the plague

Visited st.albans branch,decided to have a bite to eat,our order was a pizza,burger,sausage roll & some cold drinks.After waiting half an hour for our food I enquired where it was,cafe was virtually empty at the time,the manager then came to our table with a burnt to a crisp pizza!She went on to give her apologies & would cook another one,but had also completely forgotten the burger we had ordered.We decided to ask for a refund,which she gave us,and she said she had been washing up & had forgotten the pizza cooking!She did then present us with our food,which by this point we really didn't feel like,but politely tried to eat!Had it been a young assistant who had served us I could be a little forgiving,but it was the manager!Wont be going back again

We had a break whilst shopping at the range Coventry, Dee Dee’s cafe is situated upstairs but thankfully there is a lift incase you have difficulties with your mobility.I chose the cream tea which was delicious and my husband had tea with a doughnut, was a lovely cuppa too. The lady who dealt with us was very polite and friendly, I would definitely visit again when visiting the range.

The worst sausage sandwich I have ever had, Its meant to be in bloomer bread, it wasn't, It was thin slices of granary bread, no butter, We didnt even get a choice of bread, The sausage was taken out of a plastic container and reheated, even a buttie van on the side of the road manages to cook fresh when ordered, The coffee was good and the cafe looks nice and was spotless but I would have been embarrassed to hand out a sandwich like that if I worked there.

We stopped here whilst visiting the range to buy some essentials whilst in Cowes. The service was a little sow and could have been improved by having more staff. The drinks were good value though and the cafe was clean and well presented.

Visited the Hull Range today and wanted a toasted tea cake for my 3 year old daughter who doesn’t eat a lot. Was told that I couldn’t have one because it’s part of the breakfast menu. I could have understood if they were out of stock or frozen but I could literally see them piled up next to the toaster. I didn’t bother ordering her anything, she shared my food which meant that Dee Dee’s lost out on some business today. Not the brightest of business minds. What food we did have was lovely though.

Sat eating my ham and cheese toasty. What a joke. We got 2 caramel latees 2 bags of crisps and 2 erm toastie. £10. On a meal deal. Upon opening my sandwich which was ordinary bread there were 6 tiny squares of plastic ham and melted cheese. 3 squares each half. When I questioned it I was told it was the measured portion. Disgusting. I'll never get another from here.

I visited the Westwood cross cafe with my partner for a quick lunch.First of all I was outraged that a bottle of water was £1.80Then when I saw the paninis at 4.50 I though ok they must be good quality for the price no they were not the tomatoes were truely past it and all pappy.The coffee was also being made with full fat milk not semi skimmed.As I was drinking my coffee 2 staff members went to clear up one table which had just had a mum and young child at, the members of staff were complaining about the crumbs on the floor that the child in a high chair had made!! This is supposed to be family friendly isn’t that why they have high chairs for young children to eat in ?! I got the impression the 2 ladies that were members of staff would have preferred to stand around gossiping and giggling like school girls. As this is what they did once they had tidied up the crumbs off the floor.I would have written a complaint into there comments book but it was soaking wet as something had leaked on it absolutely disgusting! I will never be returning utterly disappointed and disgusted in the quality of food, staff members attitudes and the high prices.I would highly recommend going anywhere other here.

Went to dee dees cafe in bromborough with the grand kids only to see a lady ?or not serving us who looked like she had a hangover from the day before see was that rude see upset the kids best thing to do if you shop there go to m s or the harvester for a much cheaper meal and nicer and staff that treat you proper

The A1 was closed so I was killing time and went to The Range. I discovered they had A cafe and decided to have some lunch. I wasn't expecting much. I am pleased to report I was wrong.Jacket potato and salad were delicious. So filling I didn't need any supper.Male staff member so friendly and a great multi tasker. He can happily come and work for me any day. Well done. I will definitely be back again.

We visited the Bromborough store today, well what can i say had to wait 5 minutes to be served, a young girl came through from the kitchen, her face was tripping the floor, why do these people work in a customer service environment with ab attitude, not even a please or thank you, her response. The conversation went somewhat like this she starred at us, my husband asked for a tea and latte, her response with the attitude "small or large" she placed the drinks down not even a smile or can i get you anything else it was merely "5pence change" slapped the change in my husbands hand and walked off, To say we were disgusting is an understatement, we would have got more courtesy from McDonald's staff.

Arrived at the range Aberdeen beach and came to Dee Dee’s cafe, very clean and fresh looking with friendly staff. Also good coffee and a very tasty bacon roll. Excellent. Definitely be back.

Purchased fruit scone and drink, had to return scone as was two tone inside once cut, the young lad opened another packet and exchanged it after I said this was old, the second scone was the same these are either old or extremely cheap, as pic shows. For £1:85 they need to serve better quality food. When I looked at other tables there were left over scones from purchased Cream Teas £4:50

No longer serving pots of tea at Leicester cafe. Staff have been told by manager they can only do a mug of tea. Also came in a few weeks ago at 4.40pm and told they close at 5pm so can only give a takeaway cup ☹ so we didn't bother. If you close at 5pm then you provide a proper service until 5pm. I don't get told I can only buy half my groceries because the supermarket will close I 20 minutes.

Friendly staff.I had a Costa Coffee Cappuccino but it wasnt good.Too thin and watery. Ground floor location so easy access.

Went to the range for pool accessories and compare gaming chair prices we went to cafe for coffee lovely cakes and coffee but rather expensive

An ok coffee shop for coffee and a snack. Costa coffee. Didn't eat a meal there. Clean and tidy. Ok prices. Not overly busy. Quite noisy.

Just visited the range cafe Shrewsbury . Queued for ten minutes to be told they have no jacket potatoes ( for the second time in a few weeks ) ordered a ham and cheese toastie, realised it was smoked cheese , so tried to change it. The lady behind the counter said I couldn’t as she had already started to cook it . My wife then queued to order my daughter some beans on toast, only to be told again after about five mins “ we’re not doing beans today “ also she watched them put in my cheese toastie which I had been told had already been put in. When the food arrived the filling was cold in the toastie and the lettuce on the salad ( an extra £1 ) was rank, all brown. We will not be returning .

It has now become more expensive to have tea and coffee here. In my opinion too expensive. Chamomile tea £2.25 for a teabag and hot water. Defiantly not worth it.

VERY CLEAN AND SMART coffee place i haven't tried anything else. Just came here as better than going to a place that pays little UK TAX.

On joining the queue for a baguette the staff were friendly and helpful.The people behind us got their toasties first - ok fair enough.Seeing the man who served us clearing tables -I asked him please don't forget our lunch.Oh he remarked that it was being done.Then I saw him going to the cabinet to get the baguette and went to the kitchen !! Three minuets later !! he plonked the uncooked meal in front of us .It was slightly warm on top and the tomatoes and cheese were stone cold.When I took it back he offered no apology so I asked for a refund after he rudely pointed to the other man on the till. 1: If you do not know how to cook then ask 2: Do not avoid telling the truth 3 I know we all have bad days but come on don't try and fool me I am too old in the tooth for that oh and 4: Won't be going back

Called for a midday snack. A mozzarella and tomato panini and coffee.The panini was a tasteless spongy centred glup!The coffee...well ok..Would I eat here again...no...feel there are better options to spend my money on...very poor valueThe only reason this received any stars was the friendly, cheerful staff...pity they don't have a better product to compliment their positive interpersonal skills

We ordered coffee and toasted sandwiches . We got our coffee, and waited for our sandwiches which after 20 mins still did not arrive . After enquiring the reply was the order had not been put through . Wasted my lunch break waiting for food

Always a warm welcome from the staff. Nice to find somewhere in that part of town for a coffee etc. Never found it overcrowded. Good selection of things. Have been a few times since it opened. Never had a bad experience.

Being locals we often call in to The Range & use the cafe. It has now changed hands & is a Dee Dee's Cafe with Costa Coffee (currently on trial to see if customers prefer their usual coffee or Costa's). We had the Minestrone Soup with brown bread and a delicious wheat free chocolate oat brownie.The cafe is located upstairs next to the toilet facilities which are OK.A really good amount of seating is available. Prices are reasonable.Fortunately despite the change over the staff have remained as amazing as ever. Always cheerful, friendly & efficient.We would definitely recommend.

Where can you go and return time after time and still get the same friendly service. All staff are friendly. Cakes and pastries very tasty. Latte always hot, not semi warm like most coffee shops. Always a good stop off if in the area.

Compared to most large store coffee shops Dee Dee's at the Range is very good. Nice selection of food and drinks served by pleasant staff with comfortable seating. Good break from shopping

I first went to this coffee shop and had just a drink and a biscuit which was lovely. I made the mistake of returning for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered two teas and two toasties with salad. The teas were given to us straight away, and then we waited....and we waited. It must have been over half an hour before our food arrived. There was no salad. I asked why not and the waitress said they were running low so we couldn't have it. My toastie was half the size of a proper toastie, completely flat and overall was awful. I asked for refill teas as ours were now cold. I was told to go to the counter and get them. I asked the lady at the counter saying that I had been told we could have two top up teas. Her response was "who told you that". I replied saying "we've waited so long for our food that our drinks are now cold please can we have replacements". They were provided. Overall a horrible experience of poor quality food and horrendous customer service. Would stay away.

Called into the range on Wednesday had coffee and toasties. Again on Sunday morning. What a change... Coffee served boiling hot in takeaway cups.. toasties cold.. lack of staff. Oh well will give it another try again.

Called today for lunch cafe is very nice great tables clean and tidy the staff were extremely friendly and helpful we will definitely be back

We frequently shop at the Range in Shrewsbury it has an abundance of everything for home and garden and there are other large stores nearby - the restaurant on the 1st floor serves snack meals they are reasonably priced from sandwiches to baked potatoes hot and cold drinks, comfortable tables and chairs also ideal for wheelchair users WC nearby on same level escalator and lifts in operation

My wife and me always call in the range café for a cuppa and toasties when in this part of town, we have done this for a long time now. The reason for this review is to let folks know what to expect. GOOD FOOD AND THE LOVELY STAFF who have time for you nothing is to much trouble. and most of all good prices.

Just thought I would give an update to my previous review in September. All still seems well on my recent visit last week. Enjoyed the coffee and cake and received a friendly welcoming greeting from the lady serving on this occasion.Probably not the place you would expect to find a gem of a cafe in the area, but there is nothing else of this nature around. Always plenty of interest if you are looking round the store as well.As other reviewers mentioned don't forget the loyalty card !!

We have often visited The Range in Shrewsbury and usually have a coffee and/or lunch whilst there. Ask for the loyalty card if you live in the area. The Coffee Shop is located upstairs next to the toilet facilities which are good.The food and drinks are good but it is definitely the wonderful staff that make this coffee shop. We have always been greeted with a lovely smile and cheerful, friendly personnel who provide an excellent service. I've been to many a restaurant (and posh ones), where the staff in The Range at Shrewsbury could show them a thing or two!We wish The Range Coffee Shop staff a very Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

I visited the coffee shop inside The Range store in Shrewsbury yesterday. Besides the excellent food and drinks I felt a comment should be made about the outstanding customer service. To be greeted with the title "Madam" is something I really think is special. It was a term that used to be used at all good shops and venues but sadly very lacking in most establishments. I commend The Range for bringing back good old fashion values. Such a pleasure not be called "love, dear, mate" or any of the other so called names. Thank you to the staff in the coffee shop who made my day out extra special and memorable.

Admittedly the placement of this cafe is great, nothing like enjoying a drink and a bite to eat while the wife does the shopping.However the coffee that my wife had was not great, very watery and not much flavor, The scones were like rocks, we couldn't even get a knife into one of them before it shot off across the cafe and came to rest under a lady's chair.We though about starting a scone curling team, but i don think the restaurant staff got the joke.The cups of tea are OK but nothing special,All in all an average cafe with nothing to make it stand out.

We have been there a few times for a coffee when in the area. You can park fairly near. Cafe is upstairs via an escalator with toilets next door. Great selection of things - friendly welcoming staff. Worth having a look round the store as we have picked up a few things there on previous visits.Apart from pubs and fast food outlets, there is not much else around there if you are visiting some of the shops in the vicinity. You wouldn't know the cafe was there unless you had visited the store.

We recently visited the coffee shop In the Range Shrewsbury and really enjoyed the food, coffee and the staff, particularly Maria, were excellent - going out of their way to please etc.. A good variety of food available. I wish they had a coffee place like this in our local The Range in Carmarthen.
