Always come here on our trips to London from Switzerland. Curry like it should be, great food, Indian beers, good wine, great service and our table reserved where we asked for.

Disappointing! lunch meal had mostly rice in the box, with only pieces of chicken. Total rip off unfortunately. When I rang them, someone immediately ended the phone call and then rejected calls, despite not being busy…

The balti chicken was very nice. Not too overly spiced. Very generous and really tasty. The papadom and chutneys were good. The tandoori roti not so good. It was cold and crispy like the papadom. It was too hard. A roti should be soft and melt in your mouth. This was dry and bland like a supermarket roti. Like cardboard. My biggest issue were two things. Service needed to be way friendlier. There were way too many staff standing around doing nothing and watching you eat. Very off-putting. Do you really want someone watching you eat? They were not friendly. Be friendlier, smile and be polite! The upstairs is way too small and tight. The table by the door was so annoying! Do not sit here! People passing you all the time, rocking the table and then having to hold your drink tightly so it didn't fall, as the table kept shaking. They need to move that table. You then have the waiters watching you! Felt like being in a show. My other issue was travelling the world to over 90 countries, I have never been charged for chutneys in an Indian restaurant. These are normally provided as complimentary. The best part is they charge you £0.95 per chutney. Yes, it does say this on the menu but they could have made it clearer. I only noticed after. Daylight robbery. I wouldn't have bothered had I known. Ridiculous. Some of the rice dishes and bread were cheaper. The prices of the other items were reasonable but to charge this much for chutneys is beyond crazy. I enjoyed the balti chicken but the tandoori roti, service and seating arrangements were not great and being charged so much for chutneys was the icing on the cake. There are better places where staff are nicer, you can eat without having a theatre audience of too many staff watching you in a tightly packed space and, where you get complimentary chutneys!

Visited Rajdoot Indian restaurant whilst away for work. It was quite busy which is usually a good sign. Service was ok, the staff wasn't able to recommend a dish based on my tastes, basically just said pick any. The pickle tray was nice with a good selection and the best lime pickle I've tried before. I asked for 2 poppadoms but think I was charged for the pickle tray which I hadn't asked for. The curry I had was ok but was quite limited in flavour. When the bill arrived I queried a number of the items on it which didn't have anything marked against them, I didn't get a proper answer or get to keep a copy. Expect additional unknown charges if planning on visiting here. I paid £30 for 2 poppadoms, 1 drink, 1 curry & 1 naan bread. Service is ok, but staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

Sadly usually love this restaurant but food arrived cold. Delivered in bag , not warm box !!!!!!

Very simple place but one of our regular family spot for a quick Indian dinner. Good food, friendly price and easy going. We either take away or eat there if they have a table available upstairs.

If u want to try some Indian food, this is the place. They have amazing butter chicken. I will definitely pay a visit next time I come to London

Hidden gem! Do not be fooled by small corner dining area... downstairs is a lovely cozy seating area. The staff were prompt and friendly the food was gorgeous! Very tasty great flavour. Late night dining or atmosphere would probably be 5, but we were last diners.

I was excited to try The Rajdoot because of the great reviews and friendly staff who are always greeting pedestrians on the street outside.. but unfortunately, was a very average Indian lunch. I didn’t feel great afterwards.

Was a nice evening with friends and a good service from Shahed and his team! A good mix of starters and even better main dishes!

The food was amazing. It was one of the best curry restaurants that I ever had, and the selection of naan bread and flavoured rice dishes was by far out performed other restaurants in London. The only thing worth mentioning is that it's not a big restaurant; you may find the space is crowded, but that won't stop you from enjoying the food. We have been going back regularly. Overall, it is highly recommended.

Working in London with a colleague and fancied a curry. There were a few near where we were staying but reviews here were good. Happy today the food was lovely and service was good. Set meals available which made the experience reasonably priced. Would go again if in the area 🙂

A delicious meal! We were unsure my husband's walking frame would be welcome in such a small restaurant, but were helped to a very comfortable table and given considerate attention. Onion bhaji, lamb and veg curry, rice, poppadoms, and naan were included in our two lunch specials, and we ordered bindi bhaji on the side. All were beautifully prepared, with very fresh ingredients and a master hand at the seasoning. The naan was a special treat -- fresh, light, and hot. Attention to detail is a strength for this charming establishment.

Excellent traditional food. The service is also top notch with plenty of people to assist if you need anything. We sat inside and enjoyed the music and the people watching. We ordered a variety of dishes but the tikka masala chicken was the best. Excellent dinner and we would return.

My go to for great Indian food. I travel to London almost every week and Rajdoot if my place to go. The food and the service are always excellent. So many restaurant to chose from and I have tried many. I always come back here!

The Indian food was good, but I'm not a big fan of food with spices, so it might not be my taste. However, what really bothered me was the handwritten bill. When I asked about a strange number in the middle, the waiter said it was a service charge, but there was another mysterious number. It left me with a negative impression of the restaurant.

Sat outside and had an amazing Tikka Masala, just what the doctor ordered. Another review mentioned how hard it is to find a traditional Indian over a modern Indian in these parts - this is it. Superb!

Food here was brilliant, lamb curry was well seasoned and super tender. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend if you're looking for great halal Indian food in central london

I've been here a few times, mostly during lunch or off peak hours. The food is always hot and fresh. I really like their paneer tikka masala. Service is friendly and attentive.

We loved this little gem. In a sea of modern Indian, this is exactly what we wanted. All the traditional dishes with wonderful service. The lamb was exceptionally tender and we highly recommend the appetizer for 2!!!! Great value.

As an Indian who enjoys exploring new Indian restaurants in London, my friends and I visited this establishment based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience. The curries were excessively sweet and did not align with the traditional Indian palate. Additionally, there was ongoing noise and disputes from the kitchen, which impacted the ambiance. The service also fell short, as the waiter appeared to be in a poor mood and instructed us on where to place our cutlery. would not go here again

Really really good place! Style is unpretentious but the service is excellent. Food is varied and quite tasty. Only minor nitpick is the deliver guys chatting and smoking right next to the outdoor tables.

Very very nice food Tight spaces and very crowded Please double check with the waiter for prices. We found a 14 pound charge that they added by mistake. They corrected it after so thats good. Also, they serve halal food.

This is the best Indian food I have had in recent years, and I've had a lot. Nice restaurant, nothing pretentious. Just perfect food. Service was friendly and efficient. Very reasonable prices. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted very friendly and were able to quickly order our curries. We shared a starter, ordered two portions of rice, two curries and a naan bread. The food came quickly and was incredibly tasty, the chicken in particular was very tender! In terms of price, it's totally reasonable. Above all, the portions were very large. Feel free to go and try this restaurant. We weren't disappointed.

The food is cold and bad and does not match Indian food with its onions. The service is somewhat acceptable and they list things on the bill that I did not order. In general, I do not recommend it.

Horrible Food. They are falsely advertising as an Indian restaurant, this is not an Indian Restaurant but a Bangladeshi restaurant. The service is horrible, from the time we sat at our table to the time we left no one ever even asked for water. If you ask the waiter what is recommended they try to tell you the most expensive thing on the menu. Tourist beware! Do NOT go to this place and waste your hard earned money. Horrible Taste.
