The Railway Inn in Stratford-on-Avon

Held my late mother's wake here a couple of weeks ago, excellent facilities, food, drinks, & staff who were very helpful and friendly, highly recommend this place for any occasion.

This is a lovely family pub, they have loads of games for the kids and the food was amazing loved the chicken curry will definitely be coming back again

Another great meal reasonably priced and a quick and polite service would highly recommend this little gem

Lovley staff, friendly locals. Unfortunately when it's very quiet you should have to expect to wait 1hr 25 mins for a meal. We asked for 1 starter and 1 main to be served at the same time as I wanted something much lighter than a full meal. The starter arrived after and hr and 25 mins after ordering and tye main had to be asked for meaning I didnt want to eat along now my starter is cold and the main took another 20 mins to arrive. We didn't have any time to ask for a do over and I left without eating my cold starter and my partner had to leave half the meal as we had to leave due to time

Nice little pub. The service was kind and friendly The pub was kept in a clean manner. The bar was well stocked with most real ales and beers as well as a few ciders

A really lovely homely place, the staff and landlady are all really friendly and welcoming. Also the food is delicious you must check out the half price on mains offer at the moment which runs through to the end of September from Monday to Thursday. If your thinking about trying this pub out, just go you won't regret it!

Nice relaxed pub, chilled out garden that is lovely on a sunny day

The lady was rude, weve never been in the pub before so nothing was explained, we was told to just go outside, we sat at a table and waited 15mins to be served, then when we was served the lady was just rude, we ordered drinks and food, the food was plonked on the table and lady walked off not offering cutlery, or sauces, we had to wait another 10mins to get a member of staffs attention and then yelled at when we used toilet telling us we werent allowed back outside. Poor service such a shame i would have thought the pub would have been more friendly and welcoming with opening back up after lockdown

Great for live bands on Saturday nights. Oh, and Shaz is ok.

Railway is my local and we are here to support railway team through this hard times.

Even with social distancing the place still offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Food is spot on everytime. Definitely recommend 5/5****

Lovely pub, strictly Covid-19 compliant so you're safe. There's also a big garden with covered areas and heaters... You can go native outside proper if you wish. Well worth a pint and a sandwich etc. Go say hi!

Never been in before as i no longer live in the area, but what a fantastic meal, so much on your plate and everything is piping hot, good food, excellent value, definitely worth the money

Brill little pub, caters well for most needs but not ideal for disabled people, it's dog friendly but not especially kid friendly. Menu is basic and affordable with a bit for everyone, they altered menu choices to cater for us, staff are super and very friendly, it's covid friendly and super clean

Lovely, homely pub, went with friends for a nice meal and it was lovely, I had the Tikka Massala (very enjoyable) & my 2 friends had the Gammon which they remarked as excellent! VeryL friendly staff and polite, made us feel at home, although it was our first time here, but will definitely be returning. Very Good Food & Welcome!! Thankyou!

Have just had a brilliant evening fabulous food and what made it even better was an amazing live band (offthegrid covers) great mix of music from 60’s to present day All the bar staff was helpful a great friendly atmosphere will definitely returning

Good choice of drinks and friendly staff

When we arrived we were told that there was a 45 minute wait. After an hour my husband asked when we would be getting the meal, His was ok although he thought it had been ready for some time. I had ordered chicken with mustard sauce , green beans and new potatoes. i had chicken, no sauce, peas and mashed potatoes. When I complained I was offered a refund but no alternative food as I assume the chef had left by that time. Its our local but we won;t be going there again

This was my fully loaded Indian chips what looked completely different on the picture advertised, buffalo chicken wings was raw STAY AWAY! It is not enjoyable and the bar maid/ waitress was rude and miserable

Too rammed for my liking, can't move. However, the dining area is different and that was fine. Not much else to say about it, average pub but with less space and very noisy. Sit in the dining area if it's too much.

Nice staff, great atmosphere, plenty of parking. There is nice quiet dining room area on the back. Don’t know do they serve food or not, but plenty beer flowed on our visit Place where locals congregate.

I've now had 3 meals off the new Railway menu and they were all good. The chicken curry, the beef bourgignon and the steak. All great....Beef Bourgignon was a tad smaller than I thought it would be (I'm probably a bit greedy :) ) But I enjoyed it.

Called into this pub on the off chance for lunch. It offers a typical pub menu with good sized portions. Food was delicious and piping hot. Staff pleasant and friendly, will definitely go back.

Went yesterday for Sunday lunch had a superb meal well presented on the plate and friendly staff nothing to much trouble would defiantly recommend this pub and also will have a return there

Relaxed, friendly, village pub. Great staff, good food. A pleasure each time...

Good beer. Nice people in the pub but the manager and staff need to keep it much cleaner. We mentioned the rubbish and dog poo on the seating area outside but no attempt was made to clear it up and no appology was made. Put us completely off the place to drink and certainly we will not eat there in the near future.

Not eaten here for a while, and WOW, what a difference a couple of years - and new management - makes. A friendly, smiling welcome, great service, great value food and drink - especially on a Monday. will certainly return soon.

Visiting my friend as she has just moved to the area and walked to the nearest pub for some lunch! We walked in and at first we seemed a bit out of place as we weren’t regulars. But we found a table at the back of the pub and ordered some food. A bit apprehensive as no one else in the pub was eating but when the food arrived it was outstanding we thoroughly enjoyed it!! The lady that served us was very polite and friendly and interacted with my son! Definitely recommend for somewhere to eat!

We went for Sunday lunch at the Railway and were bowled over by the friendliness of the staff and the value of the food. Nothing was too much trouble for Lyn and the team. The fokd was absolutely first rate -all home made, some really imaginative options, extremely tasty and very generous portions. We booked our next visit even before we ledt!

We regularly go to the Railway for the Tuesday night quiz. Its a great night out and Lynn the barmaid always provides a warm welcome. Good pub food.

I am currently the sous chef here, food is executed well, with friendly bar staff who are ready to have a good time with our guests. We have a very casual feel, everybody welcome be it drinks, food or just a quick catchup

We attended for a family event and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make it a special evening. We ordered from their set menu, with 3 courses for £12 and were really surprised by the generous portions & the quality. The food and service made the evening and we all left feeling well fed and watered. Well recommended.

Absolutely brilliant. Table of 13 booked for a birthday. They couldn't have done enough for us. Very efficient, welcoming, and food was great, and great prices.
