We regularly visit for lunch or dinner. Always feel very welcome, food is excellent, staff are outstanding. Our 'go to' place to eat. Thanks Jess, Carly, Luke and all the team

The staff are lovely in The Railway. Every time I go in there they are so friendly and helpful and always make my young children welcome and get them crayons. Emily behind the bar is particularly lovely as is one of the ladies that serve the food but I am not sure if her name. She is an older lady with mousy coloured hair.

I recently ate at the Railway Hotel in West Wickham. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful in addressing our unique needs and the food was exceptional. Fantastic atmosphere, i definitely recommend this place.

I can't really comment on food or service, as only had drinks there. Lovely fire, plenty of seating, popular, as was busy, car parking as well, which is a bonus. The only downside for me was the lack of dark ale selection on tap or bottles. I had a Guinness, which is always a good choice.

Service was very good although a little slow bringing food to us once ordered. Staff were exceptional, reacting to each request immediately whilst being friendly & generally helpful, allowing us to enjoy the entire evening.

The setting and parking is good The food was poor. The quality of the ingredients has gone down a lot, and I had cheese sauce rather than cheese when I ordered nachos, after asking if it had cheese. The dish was not very tasty at all.

Festive Dinner for eleven people. Fantastic service from Shantay and Luke. We were very well looked after by them. Delicious food. Everyone in our party had a great time. Thank you Shantay and Luke for everything, especially your attentiveness.

My visit started well and enjoyed the drinks and food but did not enjoy the drama from a member of staff bullying another member of staff and swearing at her. The poor girl who got sworn at walked out of the pub followed by the bullying staff member shouting BYE THEN and swiftly walked back in. Felt bad for the girl and hope she was ok 😢

What a wonderful evening we had! 13 ladies for my 60th birthday 🎂 staff were excellent on service! Food all came out on time, hot and was truly delicious! A good time had by all! Thank you

Me and my friends always use this pub. The service is fantastic from all the team. It’s always very clean, food is decent for the price and good selection of drinks. Great pub in the area!!

My partner was wrongly accused by a manager. She accused him of drinking from his own bottle to which he was more than happy for her to check him as he was not. She refused to check and instead said she will check CCTV. 20 mins go by and we haven’t heard back not even an apology for wrongly accusing him. He confronts her to ask what happened and her response “ the cameras aren’t working so I will have to give you the benefit of the doubt”. All he wanted was an apology but this stubborn woman couldn’t admit she was in the wrong and instead decided to argue and treat him as a customer so badly. Considering this behaviour is coming from a “manager” is shocking and disgusting. We are locals and do enjoy going to the railway but if this is who it is run by then we will give it a pass. I really hope that other people aren’t wrongly accused and treated this way.

Good Pub reasonable pricing...can be tough getting a Parking spot as small Carpark and remember to put in your numberplate in bar or you will attract a charge.

Great service here yesterday. Fantastic staff who were successfully keeping on top of everything in spite of it being extremely busy.

Had a lovely evening in here. Staff were super friendly and accommodating & the drink selection was amazing! I had the pan fried cod fillet which was delicious and our waitress Eva was amazing throughout service. Would definitely reccomend!

Highly recommended and not very often do I write reviews. We had a lovely experience this afternoon! The staff were very friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome and scrumptious food! We had a bad experience at The Crown a few months ago, which is under the same chain, which was filthy with terrible management and food so we were pleasantly surprised how lovely and different it was here! Thank you to all the wonderful staff that made our experience very pleasant and we will definitely be returning!

Nice after-work dinner - Came in for a quick drink but loved the ambience, service, food.. the fact that they had toys for the toddler was icing on the cake. Ended up having dinner and spending a lot more time at the place. Highly recommend.

Great pub people the staff are so warm and friendly. We were served by Amie who was lovely even made my miserable other half laugh. The food was tasty just took a bit longer than we anticipated hence the 4 stars.

Popped in for 3pm lunch..stayed for extra bottle of wine and pudding as staff were charming and welcoming. Background music at lovely low volume. Pub bright and airy. Food as described on daytime set menu. Will be back. 3 ladies who lunch. Appreciate 20% discount voucher- recommend signing up. Food is good value even at full price.

Food was abysmal. Pre-booked and baked. Party of six, four of us ordered food and all agreed Food was rubbish. Has a good time anyway and there was plenty of atmosphere outside seating . Would not return in a hurry!

Nice atmosphere and staff good but food left a lot to be desired . Chicken and Leek pie was served up burnt....why even bring it out?? Lasagna average. Staff offered a free drink or dessert....Great...but why serve up food like that in the first place.

Ambience was fantastic, general atmosphere was great, thought staffing levels was also spot on, our are provided was great too, only thing I would improve is staff knowledge of our presence, when asked by delegates, regarding our group, and section if the pub, they actually had no idea, so guess communication might be better, next time.

Fist time at Railway Inn . We ordered 2 courses for a set price. Soup was very nice but the main meal (roasted veg tagliatelle was greasy tasteless with uninviting barely cooked veg. We mentioned this when pur half empty plates were taken away, their comment was I'll let the chef know.
