Came for lunch it’s a real pub with music 🎶 playing real pub food and 53 craft beers to choose from as well as locally brewed ales too friendly staff 5*

Nice place for a coffee whilst in town. A few noisy locals in when I was there. I believe the food is good here also, entertainment is available on Saturday.

It’s a nice pub food and drinks are good but won’t be going again after finding out about their son. I’m disgusted and in shock.

Visited mid-afternoon mid-week and although not busy there was a nice feel to the place. Staff were very welcoming, and the Lincoln Green beer was well kept and very tasty. Friendly customers who made us feel welcome. Big beer garden at the rear, and as the name suggests handy for the railway station.

overall very difficult to obtain drinks from the bar. music was too loud and made the bar over crowded. the beer was average but served from rather warm glasses. experience was mediore at best.

Nice pub, nice menus and a great selection. A little pricey but I think that's the case in most places now. Toilets aren't always the best but staff are quick to sort when made aware.

Popped in for a pint during a day out. Good beer and a nice atmosphere. Can't comment on the food as we didn't order but the menu looked good and they did have a good selection of pork pies.

Popped in for a lunchtime drink and food. Great place. Obviously lots going on for the community.

Called in on Saturday evening for a few drinks on our way to another venue. Good quality drinks at reasonable prices. Live music was very good, we were disappointed that we had to leave and couldn't see their whole set. It was very busy, as soon as we got up from our table there was a rush for our seats!! Hope to go back.

Went for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic, scampi and pork cob. Gorgeous presentation of food and staff were so friendly! Very very dog friendly and not expensive really lovely lunch. Cannot wait to go back.

I ate here today, I am aware it is very busy because it is Pride, first the positive I enjoyed my Old Mount Cider, and the bar staff were very friendly, but I was very disappointed, I ordered food as soon as I arrived I expected a wait because again very busy as it is pride but as I waited and waited for my food the tables around me that ordered after had all got their food, I went to the bar and was told my order had been lost in the system and would be ready in 5-10 minutes, I waited 15 more minutes and my food arrived and the waitresses apologised for the delay but nothing else, I was still disappointed with my Railway burger and did not consider it worth the over £13

Gave this place four stars as the beer and the staff are both great. Personally something about the atmos I didn’t like. But more to do with the locals than the pub itself.

Great pub in Belper, busy in evenings but that’s because it’s good. Have bands on in the large beer garden sometimes and serve good food throughout the day. Real ale is always in top condition and staff friendly. Fruit ciders are great too, even pina colada flavoured, my other half loves them. If you’re in Belper and fancy a drink pop in you won’t be disappointed 👍🍺

Located right in the heart of the main shopping street in Belper, the Railway, as you would guess from the name, is close to the station and the rear of the pub handily adjoins the main town car park. Internally the place has been quite heavily modernised. It is run by Nottinghamshire's Lincoln Green Brewery and has the full range of their excellent ales on the bar. Food is well prepared but is fairly standard pub fayre - you won't find anything out of the ordinary on the menu. A smile from the staff wouldn't go amiss here.

Totally love this pub, so friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly too - they loved their treats. I had a hunters pork pie which was delicious. Decided to stay for a chicken ceaser salad and a banoffee pie. Everything was freshly made and so good. The beer was well kept and service was very good. A real gem if you're in Belper definitely worth a visit

I have got to agree with some of the reviews on here about the food. Went in for lunch after a walk and my husband and I ordered caesarea salad which was made with little bits of chicken thigh and no crispy bacon as it said. My husband had chilli and rice and garlic bread which for £11.95 was like a child's portion with a pitta bread cut in half that didn't taste of garlic🤔Then a pop a dum was put on top but don't know why. Didn't feel very welcome and bar man was sat at a table on his laptop and just kept getting up when someone went to the bar, he seemed very uninterested in his job. Will not recommend to anyone.

Much larger than you'd think it is with a nice beer garden to the rear. Decor is in a similar vain to Wetherspoons....warm and comfortable but not cutting edge or particularly unique. It's a Lincoln Green pub so cask beer is pretty decent, surprisingly there's also a good selection of keg/craft which was actually pretty decent to be fair. They also have a full range of other drinks including soft, lager, spirits, hot drinks etc. Normal range of snacks is available, peanuts, crisps etc; however, they also offer proper meals which sounded really quite nice. Worth a visit.

Sat outside watching the band . My partner brought me a lemonade it was packed full of ice . I took out some ice and there was hardly any drink left . When I took it back and asked for it to be topped up they wanted to charge me again . This is so mean . I won't be back

On a very quiet Tuesday evening this traditional old style town pub has a great range of ales/beers to enjoy.

Called in for lunch a couple of days ago. Ordered SPICY CHICKEN WITH SALAD & CHIPS and PORK WITH ROAST POTATOES, AND GRAVY. The Spicy Chicken was a pathetically small breadcrumbed piece of chicken, and absolutely not the slightest bit spicey. The salad was a lettuce leaf, and a thin slice of tomato inside a dry bun. Very bland and un-appealing. My OH said her pork was similarly tasteless, with 3 dry roasted potatoes with no seasoning, served in a tin mug, with some miserable tepid gravy. I didn't send it back because we were very hungry, and all the other eating places in Belper were chock full, and unable to take any more orders for 40 - 60 minutes. I spoke with the Manager, after having explained my complaint to two other members of staff. The comment from the the Manager was "no one else has ever complained" and no offer of any price reduction. Needless to say we will not give any further business to this establishment. Very poor food and possibly the worst we've had for some time.

A good amount of beers. Food is not as described. I had the spicy chicken - still trying to find the spice! Dry bun, limp lettuce, and two slices of over ripe tomato. It's not worth the money. Would not eat here again

This visit was for a Wake. We had asked for and got an excellent buffet with the addition of chips brought out at intervals so always warm. The quality and quantity was excellent for the price and the large group were very satisfied with food provided.

We visited here for a late lunch after a long walk. Good doorstep sandwiches with chips. Good beer selection and a reasonable cider. Bonus of being right next to the station to get a train back. Dog friendly

Fabulous pub. Decided to try the food menu tonight and it didn’t disappoint. Great selection, food came quickly, looked delicious and tasted even better. Swilled down by a lovely beer and followed by live music. Perfect evening. Definitely recommend this place.

We love this pub we aren't regulars but do go atleast once a month with our dog. Very good selection of ales and very dog friendly.

Me and my friend went to the railway today,and asked if I could have a takeaway, a ceaser salad for my mum,and what wonderfull care they give that my mum really enjoyed it and said that's five star stuff thankyou railway lovely place to go to and very welcoming ☆☆☆☆☆

There may be a good choice of real ale, but the Caesar chicken salad meal was a poor choice. It had scrappy bits of chicken leg meat and grated parmesan cheese and greasy croutons. The extra portion of chunky chips were good though.

A very nice pint of Guinness nice atmosphere lovely music enjoyed my visit when I go back to England again next year I will definitely come here I rate it for stars

Great town centre pub. That's offers a large selection of real ales craft beers and ciders and lager. Good efficient friendly staff. A great beer garden with live entertainment on occasions. And a good pub menue of hot and cold food

Nice pint of Marion pale ale - shame the toilets stink so bad of ammonia I felt like gagging. Sticky floors aswell eww.

Girl serving was lovely. Just the food a let down. Ordered bbq chicken wings to start (comes with either sweet chilli or bbq) it came out after a long wait with no bbq sauce. Asked the girl for some as there wasn't any amongst the sauces and she said she'd get some from the kitchen.... it never arrived. Then waited a long time for main, finally came but was missing stuffing, asked the gentleman if it should have it like it says on the menu and it should. He just said "oh has he forgot to put it on, yes it should". No "I'll get you some" or "sorry about that". Dont think anyone else had any either. Someone else on another table had to ask for something missing, maybe carrots, and it took ages for them to bring it. The mash wasn't 'proper' mash and the roast pototoes weren't good. They were hard and uncooked in middle. Tried to tell girl when she took plates but when i said it hadn't been brilliant she replied "oh i heard, no stuffing" and walzed off. Wouldnt return and its a shame because the size of the pub and feel of it is nice.

Lovely quiet pub, didn't try the food as I was just in for a pint. Open WiFi and nice beer selection with cask ales and international largers. The easy listening music was the only downside.

Good value, good quality food and beverages served with a smile!! A warm welcome was the first thing served to me and my wife when we dropped in for a quick lunch. A simple but comprehensive menu was presented along with a great selection of cask and craft ales.

Have only been there once to see a Clash covers band in September2021 & have to say all the locals & bar staff were so friendly think I spoke to everyone that night highly recommended & looking forward to going back soon i hope.

Situated near Belper train station 🚉 and also on the High St of Belper town great place to go for a lovely meal and drinks with plenty to choose from the pub restaurant has been refurbished and looks tremendous there is a car par at the back of the place and also a big seating outdoor back garden area with a big screen also on the garden and inside for those sporting events , lovely helpful staff with informative information about the area if your new to the place all you got to do is enquire and they be all to happy to give you the answers to your questions , great place for dining out for a specific special occasions or a quick bite,children friendly and kids menu is on offer, and a jolly day and nights with friends with sometimes live music bands, Sundays roast there is the talk of the town also right near the bus stops and bus station if you have a wait a little while for a lift back home best place to be waiting , very clean and beautifully renovated inside the rail way and relaxing atmosphere must recommend popping in and finding out about the place with alot of history like most of Belper town .
