After having a great day out with family and friends we jumped the train back from Liverpool City Centre to Kirkby were we ended our day out in The Railway Pub. A really good pub ,multi roomed ,island style serving bar ,big screens to enjoy the sport ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options both inside and outside in the beer garden. We were here on a Friday night ,pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,I stayed on pints of Carling beer ,served freezing cold and sparkling ,I chilled out and went over the great day out in our beautiful city. Beer served in here was spot on ,not my normal tipple but it was really good ,stayed on it till closing time ,had a really good time in here as always . The Railway Pub is easy to locate along Glovers Brow by Kirkby Railway Station. Monday to Sunday,midday till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Railway is a brilliant local pub and one of the best pubs in Kirkby and is located by Kirkby train station on Glovers Brow. The Railway is housed in a brilliant building that look's amazing when illuminated.It has a superb multi-roomed interior with superb decor and furnishings and superb features throughout the whole pubs interior. We usually make this excellent pub our last port of call if we have been out in town and it's the ideal pub to catch our bus.When we visit we usually have Guinness as its served in perfect condition and is well priced. As alway's we had a Guinness which where well served as alway's.This is a brilliant pub that offers well priced drinks and is a great pub to start or end your night and is a very easy pub to get to as its a few minutes walk from Kirkby train station. The Railway on Glovers Brow in Kirkby is an excellent local pub that offer a well priced drinks range and is one of the best pubs in Kirkby.Housed in an excellent building that really stands out when illuminated. The inside of this pub is superb and has an excellent multi-roomed interior with superb fixtures and features throughout the whole pubs interior and excellent seating options and a nice outside terrace. We have visited this pub hundreds of times over the years as it's a ideal pub to have a few beer's while waiting for a train or going to after arriving in Kirkby.On our visit to this superb pub we had a few pints of Guinness which where excellent and well priced.This is a fantastic pub and well worth a visit and very easy to get to from Kirkby train station its a minutes walk.(This is my third review of the Railway). Working all over the Christmas period it was nice to kick start the new year by having a day out visiting some of the great pubs, bars and restaurants in our beautiful city ,after having had a great day out we jumped the train back to Kirkby from Liverpool City Centre and we finished off our night at The Railway Pub, this was our 1st visit to here in 2022 and what a great time we had. This is a great looking pub, its a traditional pub,its a 4 roomed pub served by an island style serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings including great rail and railway paintings adorning the walls, there's also tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside out front and in their beer garden out back, its a great pub to unwind in. We got here about 10.45pm on a freezing cold and rainy night, pub was warm as was the welcome, we ordered a guinness each,these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My guinness was absolutely superb, a thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, very easy to drink, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality pint of the black stuff. We both really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before closing time and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. After having a great day out in Liverpool City Centre visiting the fantastic pubs to be found in our city my twin brother Stephen and I jumped the train back to Kirkby and dropped into The Railway Pub. This is a fantastic pub,its a very traditional pub ,the interior is superb, four roomed ,each room is well furnished and decorated tastefully, there's tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout, its a very good pub to chill out in. We were here late on a Thursday night, we got bottles of Becks beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub My beer was really good, a big fan of Becks beer,its a classic German lager style beer light, hoppy and very easy to drink, a totally refreshing brew . We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before moving on and as on previous visits to The Railway Pub we were totally impressed. The Railway Pub is easy to locate along Glovers Brow. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Midday till Midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Railway on Glovers Row is a fantastic pub by Kirkby train station that offers a decent range of beers and spirits at affordable prices. An excellent pub with a multi-roomed interior with many interesting fixtures and features relating to a bygone era of train travel. With lots of good seating options throughout this pubs interior it is the ideal pub to start or end the night or have a quick beer before you catch your train. We have been coming here for many years and I for one was pleased when it re-opened.On entry we gave our track and trace details and took our seat in one of the side rooms.As its still only table service one of the staff took our order of a pint of Guinness each which where perfectly served and well priced. We track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My guinness was absolutely superb, a thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and to be honest socialising again albeit socially distanced. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Before Boris closed down our beautiful country due to the coronavirus visited upon us my twin brother Stephen and I dropped into The Railway Pub after having a great day out in Liverpool city centre. This is a fine looking pub ,its got three rooms serviced by an island style serving bar ,lovely decor and furnishings, great railway paintings and prints adorning the walls, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a really good pub to just relax in . We were here on a Friday night ,pub was quite busy with a cool and relaxed vibe ,we ordered a guinness each, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just chilled out and took in the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. The guinness served here is certainly tasty,thick,creamy and most importantly iced cold ,it was just so good being in such a warm and inviting pub enjoying a nice pint of the black stuff. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time and when our scientists and medical teams have this pandemic under control will be a pub I will most certainly revisit. My twin brother Stephen and I had just had a great day out in Liverpool city centre visiting some of the great pubs our city has to offer ,we then jumped the train down from Moorfields Train Station to Kirkby were we live and rounded off our night in The Railway Pub. I love the look of this pub ,multi roomed ,tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport, lovely decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a classic British pub . We were here on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning, pub was bouncing with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a guinness each,guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My guinness was outstanding, a rich,creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness ,very easy to drink,it was just so good being in such a warm and inviting pub sipping a quality guinness. We ended up staying for two guinness each before time was called in the pub and as on every other visit to this pub we had a very good time . I came here for my mums 85th birthday and all I can say is it was the worst start off the Garlic bread had no cheese the Pieminister pie was hard over cooked so when second one came out that wernt much better once my mixed grill came there was no egg that’s the cheapest on the menu the gammon was salty so bad sausages had funny taste on chips were hard in centre it all got left my partner got wrap an all following day was sick an dihoria iv emailed the place an no one has chosen to get back so thank you for ruining my mums 85th birthday

The Railway Pub is a great pub in Kirkby, it's a well established pub ,a pub I always look forward to visiting, as I live in Kirkby it's a pub I've visited for over 30 years ,a pub that serves a great pint of guinness. The pub itself is super, 4 rooms ,great decor and furnishings including a cool island style serving bar, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Glovers Brow . Before starting a week's holiday in Sofia my twin brother Stephen and I had just had a great day out in Liverpool city centre visiting some of the great pubs out city has to offer and we jumped the 10pm train back down from Moorfields Train Station to Kirkby to finish our day off in this pub. We were here on a Saturday night, pub was absolutely packed with a great atmosphere, we got a guinness each,these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just chilled out and went over the great day out we had just had out and our upcoming holiday to Sofia. My guinness was really good, thick,creamy and most importantly served iced cold, just one delicious brew,it was just so good being in such a cosy pub enjoying a pint of the black stuff. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Railway Pub we had a great time.
