Dropped into The Johnny Todd Pub on the way to meet up with friends in The Carters Arms Pub and what a nice visit this was. A well appointed pub ,interior is traditional ,a cool looking serving bar ,great decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options both inside and outside in their beer garden outback ,it's just a really good pub. I was here on a Monday late evening ,I ordered a pint of Carling lager ,served freezing cold ,I chilled out and looked forward to meeting my friends for a night out. Carling lager is not my usual tipple ,more a craft beer and real ale fan myself but it was really tasty ,when this lager is served iced cold and sparkling as in this pub it's such a delicious beer indeed and price was great value for money. I really enjoyed my beer in here before I moved on and as on every other visit to here I had a great time. The Johnny Todd Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive in Kirkby. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till 11pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Johnny Todd on Whitefield Drive was a brilliant pub to go to while visiting a couple of pub's around Kirkby.I would say that this is one of the busiest pubs in Kirkby with the best and biggest beergarden. This brilliant pub has a superb interior with nice decor and furnishing's throughout it's multi-roomed interior and has lots of good seating options throughout the whole pubs interior. We were walking along this street and went in here for a few beer's.It was really early in the afternoon when we visited and it wasn't that busy.On our visit we had a few glasses of Carling brewery beers which were really refreshing and well priced. This is one of the best pub's in Kirkby that's well worth visiting and is very easy to get to from James Holt Avenue bus stop it's a few minutes walk away.(This is my 2nd review of the Johnny Todd). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-12.00-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Holt Avenue Bus stop.

The Johnny Todd Pub is one of three pubs along Whitefield Drive, a pub I drop into periodically. The pub itself is nice, a nice pubby interior, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden. We were here on a Saturday night, the Euro's football was on and the pub was busy ,we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were a very pleasant member of the bar team took our order of a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My guinness was absolutely superb, a rich, thick and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste and very easy to drink, it was so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and watching the football ,it's nice to see things getting back to normal. We really enjoyed our beers guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before moving on. The Johnny Todd Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I arrived much later than my friends who were already seated. We had a great night and the bar staff were attentive even though it was a busy Friday night. Reece saw that my friends had enough and was quick to cut them off, but was aware I had only just arrived so served me another. Great covid safe venue with applause to reece for doing his job correctly.

The Johnny Todd is a local estate pub with a superb beergarden in Kirkby that offers a decent range of drinks and meals.Located on Whitefield Drive the Johnny Todd has a large open-plan interior with great seating options throughout the whole interior and a pool room. There is a massive beergarden which is an excellent area to this pub and ideal as they can only offer outside table service until at least the 17th of May when all indoor table service can resume in the UK. We visited here early in the afternoon and once we gave our details for the track and trace we got a table in the beergarden and then ordered our beers. When here we had a few pints of Carling brewery beers which were served in plastic glasses. We stayed in here for a few beers as there was live music and the weather was good and there was a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and is a pub that is well worth a visit if you are ever in Kirkby.A very easy pub to find as the bus stop is out side of the pub on Whitefield Drive.(This is my second review of the Johnny Todd). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-10.00-00.00. Hours May Differ From Above Due To The Covid 19 Restrictions. Nearest Bus Stop. James Holt Avenue bus stop. Nearest Train Station. Kirkby train station.

With some more of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions lifted for the hard hit hospitality sector from the 12th of April my twin brother Stephen and I decided to visit some of the pubs in our home town of Kirkby, one of the first pubs we visited was The Johnny Todd Pub. Track and traced and walked through to the beer garden out back and allocated a table, placed order and beers served in no time,we stayed on Carling lager ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, only gripe is beers served in plastic glasses but that's just a pet hate with me,beers were still delicious. The pub had live music which was great ,atmosphere was fun,all in all had a great time, stayed for three beers each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Johnny Todd Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive, the number 17,20 and 21 bus drops you off outside the pub. Opening hours are,; Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday. A wonderful pub, if your in the area most definitely well worth checking out.

Before the 3rd national lockdown descended my twin brother Stephen and I dropped into The Johnny Todd Pub and what a very pleasant visit we had. I love the look of this pub,its a traditional pub ,a big open plan design, lovely decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport, a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden out back and their courtyard out front ,with the pubs being allowed to reopen on the 12th of April with outside service only ,these features of the pub will come in very handy. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday night, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system, we sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table ,as part of the governments guildlines of having a substantial meal with alcohol we ordered a big bowl of chips each and for our drinks a guinness each ,guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in, while sipping our guinness our chips arrived, they were totally delicious, thick cut ,beautifully seasoned and served with various sauces ,the chips went with our guinness so well . After our chips and 1st guinness we settled down and ended up staying for another couple of pints of guinness each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Johnny Todd Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Midday till Midnight. A great pub ,well worth a visit if you're in the area and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted.

The Johnny Todd Is A Proper Local Pub On Whitefield Drive In Kirkby That Has A Good Selection Of Commercial Beers And Is One Of The Better Pubs In Kirkby. This Pub Also Offers A Carvery Style Menu (Which I Have Not Sampled) And Decent Seating Options Throughout The Whole Pub.The Interior Is Very Traditional With A Slight Nautical Feel And Very Spacious And They Have A Huge Beer Garden Situated At The Back.A Really Popular Pub Especially Over The Weekend When It Stays Open Later. We Visited Here Early In The Afternoon And It Wasn't Really That Busy'We Gave All Our Details For The Track And Trace And Took A Seat.We Were Only Staying For A Glass Of Guinness That Was Ordered From A Friendly Barmaid. The Guinness Was Perfectly Served And Really Well Priced'I Enjoyed My Visit To This Fine Kirkby Pub And I Will Visit More Often As I Enjoyed The Calm Atmosphere And Lovely Guinness.Very Easy To Find Jump Any Of The Buses That Go Down Whitefield Drive The 20-21-17 To Mention A Couple.(This Is My First Review Of The Johnny Todd). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-10.00-00.00. Could Be Later Friday And Saturday.

This is not a 'real ale' pub but they have three good lagers on tap. The staff are always friendly. The pub is a single ground floor level open plan room in the shape of a letter L. The bottom of the L is a large square area with upholstered bench seating around the edges and as an 'island' in the centre with tables and chairs placed in front of the benches which are quite comfortable. This part I think has air conditioning. Nice place to literally 'chill out' in the summer with a San Miguel. In the long part of the L the is more similar seating and tables but half this area accommodates two pool tables. There are music videos usually playing on large TV screens but occasionally the channels are changed for football or racing. There is live music and/or a DJ on Friday and Saturday. I don't know if there is any live performance on a Sunday. Occasionally there are other live ticketed events on such as comedians and celebrity speakers. I think what used to be a car park has been enclosed and is now a beer garden. In the summer they have had a bouncy castle there.

After having a great day out with family and friends we jumped the train back from Liverpool City Centre to Kirkby were we ended our day out in The Railway Pub. A really good pub ,multi roomed ,island style serving bar ,big screens to enjoy the sport ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options both inside and outside in the beer garden. We were here on a Friday night ,pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,I stayed on pints of Carling beer ,served freezing cold and sparkling ,I chilled out and went over the great day out in our beautiful city. Beer served in here was spot on ,not my normal tipple but it was really good ,stayed on it till closing time ,had a really good time in here as always . The Railway Pub is easy to locate along Glovers Brow by Kirkby Railway Station. Monday to Sunday, midday till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

A day off work and my twin brother and I were meeting up with friends in The Premier Pub in Kirkby Town Centre, this was our first visit of 2024 ,we went on the 22rd of January and I must say we had a great time. It's a proper little locals pub ,interior is nice ,an island style serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings, pool table and big screens to enjoy the sport plus plenty of seating options, it's a good pub to unwind in. We stayed on pints of Carling lager and pints of guinness, it was good having a catch up with friends over a good few pints ,loved my visit here ,its got to be the friendliest pub in Kirkby. We stayed here for a good few hours before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Premier Pub is easy to locate on Market Square in Kirkby Town Centre. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I'm not comming to Costa often, maybe twice a year, but I'm not happy about my recent visit. Coffee and food as you would expect from Costa, but staff completely incompetent to work under pressure, remember orders or multitask, which is quite sad for such a nice place. 4 girls stressing around, spilling coffeys on the desk, customers waiting ages for their coffee as 4 girls cannot manage even 2 customers at the same time and can't remember an order for more than 10 seconds. I have been asked 3 times what I ordered even 10 minutes after I paid and that was just a croissant, lemon cake and late, three customers came after me been served before me, nothing for my level of patience. No smile, no politeness, no sorry, just stressed faces. Cannot recommend, otherwise the place is nice and clean.
