My twin brother Stephen and I dropped into The Fantail Pub on our way to meet family and friends in The Carters Arms Pub and what a really pleasant visit we had. I love the look of this pub ,interior is superb ,multi roomed ,a cool looking serving bar ,great decor and furnishings big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options both inside and outside . We were here on a Monday late evening ,we ordered and were served lagers from Carling Brewery ,served freezing cold ,we chilled out and looked forward to the night ahead while sipping our beers. Not my usual tipple ,more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say this lager was tasty ,when it's served iced cold and sparkling as in this pub it's such a refreshing beer indeed. We really enjoyed our lagers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Fantail Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till 11pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Fantail on Whitefield Drive is a brilliant pub in Kirkby that offer's well priced drink's and was packed when we went to here late in the evening. This excellent pub has stood the test of time and was one of three pub's we visited along this street. The Fantail has a two-roomed interior with a main bar room and a pool-room with an island bar serving both room's.Both room's are tastefully decorated and have brilliant seating areas and an outside seating area when the weather is fine. We visited here midweek and it was without a doubt the busiest pub we visited while on a day out around Kirkby. When we went into here we had a few pints of Carling brewery lagers which were superb and where really well priced. This is a superb local pub with superb staff who make you feel so welcome and is easy to locate from Mercer Avenue bus stop it's a minutes walk away.(This is my third review of the Fantail). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-12.00-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Mercer Avenue bus stop.

This was my first time at this famous establishment but I wasn't disappointed, to say I felt like I was on the set of a George Lucas blockbuster was an understatement and I felt so special with all the locals and movie extras on set. Can't wait for the sequel God only knows what we'll see when no masks are required but I'm so looking forward to it ....till next time see you soon bby 🤣🤣🤣🤣 P.s I'm only kidding sorry to all my Fantail fambo 🤪🥰😍😘😘😘😘🍻

The Fantail is a proper local pub with a fine range of well priced drinks and importantly a superb outside seating area. The pub is a proper local boozer with two really big well kept rooms one being a pool room and the other the main drinking area. As with all the hospitality sector there isn't any indoor table service until May the 17th but this pub has utilised the outside of the pub with lots of bench seating. We visited here while walking toward's the Mainbrace pub and decided to have a few beers.Once we gave all our track and trace details we sat on one of the benches then ordered a couple of pints of lager from the Carling brewery which where excellent and well priced. The Fantail is a decent pub and well worth visiting if you are in Kirkby as the drinks on offer are cheap and there is a Bookmakers attached to the pub and the transport links to this pub are superb.Easy to locate from Houlston road bus stop it's a short walk or a ten minute walk from Kirkby train station if you fancy a stroll. (This is my second review of the Fantail). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-Don't Know. Due To The Covid 19 Restriction The Pubs Hours Have Changed. Nearest Bus Stop. Houlston road bus stop. Nearest Train Station. Kirkby train station.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to visit some of the pubs in our home town of Kirkby as some of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions were lifted for the hard hit hospitality sector on the 12th of April, we dropped by and grabbed a table were a very pleasant member of the staff took our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system, we then order a beer each ,we chose Carling lager, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe sitting outside this pub . My beer was really good, an iced cold brew ,bursting with taste, on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Fantail Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive, a really nice pub,if your in the area most definitely well worth checking out.

Before the 3rd national lockdown descended my twin brother Stephen and I visited some of the wonderful pubs found in Kirkby, walking down Whitefield Drive we dropped into The Fantail Pub ,a long established Kirkby pub,a pub I always enjoy visiting if I'm in this part of town. I love the look of this pub,2 big rooms,a cool looking serving bar, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Whitefield Drive. We were here on a Thursday night, a freezing cold night, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we were allocated a table were as part of the governments guildlines of having a substantial meal with alcohol we ordered sausage rolls each and for our drinks bottles of Magners cider ,the bottles of cider were served iced cold, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the laid back vibe in this pub. My cider was really good, we had been drinking guinness and lager most of the day and an iced cold cider made for a refreshing change, while sipping our cider's our sausage rolls arrived steaming hot ,really tasty and filling ,they went with our ciders so well. We finished our meal and our 1st cider,as we were warm and cosy we ended up staying for another cider each and a pint of guinness before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted for pubs in April this will be a pub I look forward to revisiting again especially as it has a substantial beer garden out front and on the 12th of April pubs are allowed to open with outside service only. The Fantail Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive, the number 20 & 21 bus drop you off practically by the pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

For as long as I've been drinking beer ,early 1980's, this pub has weathered political hard times, austerity, pub closures and hopefully the coronavirus pandemic, its a solid locals pub i always look forward to visiting ,my twin brother Stephen and I went here just before the country went into virus lockdown, had a great time. I love the look of this pub, multi roomed, a cool looking serving bar, great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside, a really nice pub. We were here on a Friday evening, we got a Carling beer each ,these were served in excellent condition and we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was really good, a crisp, iced cold and sparkling lager style beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another lager each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Fantail Pub is easy to locate along Whitefield Drive, busses number 20 or 21 drop you off practically by the pub. A great pub,if your in the area well worth a visit.

They should be ashamed, complete rip off...ordered a whisky soda, a gin and tonic and packet of crisps and they took £19 from me. Dont know where they think they are to be charging these prices. Loud, unfriendly, grubby venue, avoid, so many better places to go

I'm not comming to Costa often, maybe twice a year, but I'm not happy about my recent visit. Coffee and food as you would expect from Costa, but staff completely incompetent to work under pressure, remember orders or multitask, which is quite sad for such a nice place. 4 girls stressing around, spilling coffeys on the desk, customers waiting ages for their coffee as 4 girls cannot manage even 2 customers at the same time and can't remember an order for more than 10 seconds. I have been asked 3 times what I ordered even 10 minutes after I paid and that was just a croissant, lemon cake and late, three customers came after me been served before me, nothing for my level of patience. No smile, no politeness, no sorry, just stressed faces. Cannot recommend, otherwise the place is nice and clean.

A day off work and my twin brother and I were meeting up with friends in The Premier Pub in Kirkby Town Centre, this was our first visit of 2024 ,we went on the 22rd of January and I must say we had a great time. It's a proper little locals pub ,interior is nice ,an island style serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings, pool table and big screens to enjoy the sport plus plenty of seating options, it's a good pub to unwind in. We stayed on pints of Carling lager and pints of guinness, it was good having a catch up with friends over a good few pints ,loved my visit here ,its got to be the friendliest pub in Kirkby. We stayed here for a good few hours before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Premier Pub is easy to locate on Market Square in Kirkby Town Centre. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
