The Railway in Lewisham

Visited for lunch with my puppy and we were both made to feel very welcome. The food was great, the drinks brilliant and Phil was excellent behind the bar too. A real pleasure to visit.

Popped in after recommended by a friend, as I was in the are for the day. My partner and I both had burgers which were fantastic, as was the service. Didn’t catch the guys name, (5.10” I guess) dark hair. Made us feel really welcome. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Visited today (Sunday) for first time in a while for a roast dinner. Was absolutely delicious. Great portion size, quality and decent price. Won’t lie, my last roast here was disappointing but I’m so glad we came back. Partner had 3 bar snacks for £16 and these were also fab. We also ordered a doggy roast for our pup and he loved it. Lovely staff, great service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit.

Air con was lovely on a hot day, went for a brunch and the staff are very attentive. Food lovely too and the music was just loud enough to have a nice chat.

I went to the Railway for a Sunday roast and had a gorg chicken dinner. It came quickly and hot The portions was great. I added a side of cauliflower cheese and Mac and cheese and both were sublime. The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming I am never disappointed by the food here, I can’t wait for my next visit ;-)

Great little find! Food was varied and very tasty! Had loads of options for veggies too:-) It was really busy on the evening but service was quick and staff were lovely and welcoming! Saturday night bands are a massive plus too! Will definitely be going back!

Another fabulous night at the Railway. Attended a birthday party for 40 people, which included drinks and 3 course meal for us all and the service was second to none. The pub was packed, but the food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. We all received our meals at the same time, which for a large group is never heard of. The live band was great and so much fun. A truly excellent night. A huge well done to Ashley and his team you were fabulous, special mention to Freddie who was like a whirlwind ensuring we had everything we needed and our night went off without a hitch, all with a smile on his face. Well done all and thank you for making the night extra special!

I had a group of friends in for my 40th Birthday party and I could not have wished for a better venue and team. The food we chose came out hot and to a great standard with nobody complaining at all. Having a sit down dinner for 30+ people in a pub isn’t always great but this exceeded all of my expectations. I chose the Railway as it is a local of mine and I always have the best time here. Topped off with a great band The Patinas. Apologies to the security team as I’m sure towards the end of the night we were all a nightmare. 😂 I always say this but I will be back!

Brilliant venue. We travelled for a birthday party and enjoyed the night so much that we returned the next day for lunch and it was a very tasty Sunday roast. Highly recommended for food and drinks.

My partner and I visited on Saturday night for our friend’s birthday party. An awesome night was had by all! Food and drink quality absolutely top notch! Massive shout out to - Freddie, Bailey, Essen, Poppy and the entire kitchen team, you’re awesome and the pure definition of the word ‘Hospitality’. We travelled from Cardiff for our mates party and you ensured we had a warm welcome and gave us reason to come back! Absolute legends, thank you!

Major discussion as to who was going to change the Peroni barrel. Finally after a 10 minute wait it got changed. Left to pop to the loo leaving a third of a pint. Returned to find it had been collected. Mitchell & Butler you can do better this.

Sorry but in my opinion vegetarian choices were poor. Not everyone wants a plant based burger or a salad. It’s a shame because pub was warm and friendly and beer good. Just needs a vegetarian curry on the menu
