We was celebrating a birthday in a group of 7 women. The place was beautiful, clean, spacious and well cared for. We had an amazing party in the massive kitchen. The living room is huge and stunning. The bedrooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with comfy beds. We also went to the pub below, the locals was so friendly and the bar staff was outstanding.

There were nine of us and the weekend was a surprise to celebrate my brother in law’s retirement We hadn’t seen the accommodation but we were pleasantly surprised The accommodation was ideal for all of us This is not a boutique hotel but it was clean and the large lounge and well equipped kitchen suited us down to the ground Would certainly return The pub is basically a local pub with no frills but landlady and locals very friendly We were blessed with fabulous weather and the pretty village is a pleasure to walk around

Stayed at Vale View above the pub for a week last May. Had the whole family there plus 2 dogs and we loved it! Every room had en-suite and was clean and tidy. Plenty of space for my x9.5 family. Great location for dog walks and close to shops with Alnwick and beach a little drive away. My brothers particularly liked the pub below. We even left a pair of trainers which were posted back. Overall can’t fault the place my opinion…….GO!

Horrible place. Made to feel unwelcome. Witnessed barmaid talking to a lone punter like he was a total outcast. I'm disgusted. The locals were of the same behaviour. What a horrible little backward place in the middle of nowhere. Horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN

Great food, attentive staff, only spoilt by well know local eccentric lady who took shelter while waiting for a bus who broke wind, a lot . Off putting when eating

Just a word of warning instead of a review: they don’t serve dinner. We went here based on the other reviews but there is simply no dinner here anymore.

This was our 3rd New Year visit to the Queens Head Glanton and it gets better each year. We stayed above the pub in one of the 5 ensuite rooms, the accommodation is very good with a fantastic kitchen and living room with plenty of room for 5 couples. The pub below is excellent and Lisa and the locals always make us very welcome. We don't travel far during our stay as everything is on site for us but the Queens Head is well situated for walkers with some lovely walks and villages and towns nearby.

No longer do meals. Called whilst in holiday as recommended locally. Not particularly the warm or welcoming.

We stayed with 2 couples over New Year at the Queens Head and what a great time we had, the accommodation is first class and the service is superb. Many thanks to the team this was our second visit and we were delighted from start to finish. We cooked our own meals in the superbly equipped kitchen and spent most nights in the pub downstairs. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the lounge area spacious and comfortable too. We will definitely return, many thanks to Lisa.

Lovely lunch in the bar (haggis with heaps and tattles from a varied menu) in a comfortable old pub. Good, friendly service, real ale, time to chill! The reason I haven't given five stars is the big tv. Hard to ignore.

Nice welcome excellent service and great food, home cooked and the best was the small portion menu same food, but obviously smaller portions. It was like eating in your own home, small rooms but very cosy lovely atmosphere you would need to book in advance. We really enjoyed the whole experience well done to the lady who served and welcomed our party.

Service was good and the food was pretty good too. The waitress was extremely helpful finding us the telephone numbers for a local taxi to get home.

Llamado para bebidas mientras que fuera el ciclismo. Es un pub encantador situado en un pueblo lleno de historia en una ubicación fabulosa. El personal no podría haber sido más acogedores.

Made the mistake of visiting here for a quick coffee. 25 minutes in the queue, minimal staff and the slowest coffee making I’ve ever experienced in my life.
