We had a fantastic Sunday Lunch today. Highly recommend 👌

Great pub , with local crowd and atmosphere. Landlord is first class , try the steak on the stone recommended .

Just had a really wonderful function at the Queens Head with the Tidworth parkrun volunteers. What a wonderful barn the pub has, reasonably priced drinks and a lovely very filling buffet. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for a really lovely day 😃

It's a very traditional pub, it serves a limited selection of traditional.beers. Pricing is fair and the owners very amenable. The pub appeals to traditional pub goers, It's quite dark inside, but has a cosy atmosphere, and supports afternoon drinkers into the evening. I think the pub supports the friend meeting up for a drink better than a family meal. A good covered rear smoking area is available and an open garden for those not wanting to smoke, but no covered non smoking unless inside. Overall a fair pub, worth a visit with friends for a catch up.

Great evening! It did not disappoint!The black rock fillet steaks were amazing. The young waitresses were both lovely, always smiling & nothing was too much trouble for them. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and we all enjoyed the evening. We would highly recommend a visit here!

Home of the infamous Friday club

We stopped by for Sunday lunch after a visit to Stonehenge and the food was excellent! The roast chicken was cooked perfectly and had a lovely flavour, the pork and crackling were delicious, the homemade roast potatoes were fantastic and the seasonal veg were both tasty and plentiful. You really do get a lot of food for your money (£16.95) so be sure to bring your appetite! The restaurant area is cozy and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There's a car park behind the pub and you can park on-street for free after 6pm Mon-Sat and all day Sunday. Highly recommended!

Food is pretentious. Not enough table space and no way not to over cook your meat on the hot plate Eaten like this in other places that was far better executed

Just had the MOST delicious Roast Beef at the Queen's Head in Ludgershall. Out celebrating my best friends birthday, with her daughter and mother, and my hubby. I'll admit I had food envy when someone else's chips came out. But my roast was divine !!! Excellent food, fantastic service, Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Lovely food, brilliant team and great company! The team were extremely friendly and attentive during our evening. The food was delicious and there is a great selection to choose from! Highly recommend and look forward to attending again.

Phoned up on the off chance to book a table the same evening and they accommodated us. Friendly bar staff and restaurant staff. Restaurant area was small and away from the bar. The food was reasonably priced and good size portions. Homemade lasagne was lovely and really filling. Beer garden was nice too.

Fantastic food, very friendly staff, fast delivery, quickly ready with the food. The only negative is they were just quick enough to mess up after we had eaten. Will definitely eat there again. If I come to England.

Started off with really lovely service, hubby ordered steak which was really nice, I ordered the lasagna which unfortunately was quite watery and my garlic bread was quite salty. Another waiter then came over and the service went downhill, she didn’t really seem to care. After raising food issues with a manager all of our issues were dealt with brilliantly.

The food was fantastic; eating off the hot rocks was a fun experience and the food was great too. Not too badly priced. The staff were polite and efficient, almost too efficient, interrupting a leaving speech twice to ask if we wanted the bill. They could have also been a bit more friendly; a smile wouldn't have gone amiss.

Classic good old fashioned pub and pub food. The Black rock steaks are absolutely amazing, and accompanied by their Port and Stilton sauce just made it perfect. Highly recommend

The TSB RSA Retirement Club had a fantastic ploughman’s luncheon, with a choice of cheeses or Ham as well as the usual accompaniments. Jane and her team were both friendly and efficient as always would highly recommend a visit. We use this facility for our club quizzes and skittle nights as it accommodates a good number of people.

We had family visiting so went for evening drinks. A little disappointed that Monday and Tuesday evening's are early closing (no service after 9pm). We would have stayed quite a while later if we could have.

We visited for lunch after visiting the nearby castle. It was a Sunday, but interestingly the full menu was available not just Sunday lunch. The prices were reasonable and the food quality and service were first class. In the end we both had Sunday lunch and the portions were large. We would both go back next time we are in the area..

We have just had our street Christmas meal get together at the queen's, all the food came out on time, hot and very tasty once again Jane the landlady and her team did not dissapoint I would highly recommend to anyone even if you are just passing through Ludgershall.

Had a 10oz rump steak which was on a red hot black rock so it kept cooking which was fine but if you wanted a medium rare by the time you finished it it would be well done but overall excellent meal

We booked for Sunday lunch following on from a weekend stay in Everleigh, for the 80th birthday of my wife. There were 9 adults and 4 children. I asked specifically - in the summer - to reserve the side bar from 12 noon until 2.30pm - and for the log fire to be lit. Very happy to report that the manager, Jane, organised all this for us (at no charge) - we had a lovely family meal and it was a great way to finish our family weekend. Many thanks Jane!

Food was outstanding despite arriving without booking and just in time for last foid order. The staff were very friendly and coukdnt do enough.

Really rude waitress!!Made me very uncomfortable rushing me about with my meal.Every time try to speak with her she torn her back on me.They never try to acomodate me nicely.Owner's should take a not o customer service.My advice visiting this place get ready to be treat like sh....!!They charge me food I haven't eat horrendous..

Brilliant night last night in the Skittles alley - 40 of us friends and we all had the best time! Great set up, excellent staff, fabulous food - cannot wait to do it again. You should give The Queens Head a try - you wouldnt be disappointed. Great food nice atmosphere,good portions. Reasonable prices.unfortunately we were only passing through on our way home to Kent. If we lived local would use this pub and restaurant regularly.

Went for the vegan burger as I have a severe allergy to anything with dairy in it. The burger (not cheap at £14 ) sounded exciting on the menu, but what was delivered was a bit bland in flavour & presentation. Not made with a lot of care or finesse, probably just thrown together & put on a platter to make it look better. Chips weren't great either. I ate it because I was starving hungry - but wouldnt go back again. Service was fine though.

We booked for Sunday lunch and it was a very nice roast dinner. Plenty of it and steaming hot. Puddings were amazing too. Service was attentive and also very good.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Nice pub with nice pub food. Simple and tasty - well cooked and well presented. We went for a selection of burgers and they didn't disappoint. Plates went back totally clear. Would happily go back and would happily recommend. I think the bill came to 70 quid for 4 make and 4 drinks - so not expensive. If you want decent pub grub give the place a go.

First time here went with few friends for the evening and I can say is it’s got amazing food, service is 10/10 friendly atmosphere definitely recommend this place and even have a good size garden

Just came home after having an amazing roast dinner at The Queens Head with my friend. The food,, service and value was second to none. A special shout out to the landlady/ owner who made our visit special with her friendliness. making our visit so special. My friend from Glasgow said it was the best roast dinner she had ever had, and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. I will definitely be back x thanks to an amazing team Carrie, Annmarie & Paula x

The staff were amazing, the food was not so good, if you like your roast potatoes slushy and meet so thin you could see through it, horseradish served in a tartlet which gave you 1/2 a teaspoon full ask for more and you get another tartlet, what a shame

We have been to this pub a few times and always have a great meal. Staff are always lovely, food needs (gluten intolerance) is always met.

Had lunch here at the weekend. Met the family as it was half way for all of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. An extensive menu. Good selection of vegan meals too. We all enjoyed the food. Traditional decor dark wooden chairs and tables.

Dropped into here on the way through on my bike ride this weekend, completely by chance. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the burger I had was fantastic, a really well cooked piece of meat in-between a toasted bun, you'd be surprise how many places fail at that hurdle, and all the trimmings. Price are reasonable too.

I've had the steak on the hot stone rocks . It was absolutely amazing . The cider was good, too . Desert/pudding was delicious.

The Andover Ramblers walking group had a skittle evening on March 4th and we had pre- ordered basket meals to enjoy during the evening We all agreed they were the best basket meals we’ve had . They were freshly cooked and served at the time we’d asked for, well presented , generous portions and excellent value for money The staff were friendly and helpful including the landlady I highly recommend this pub and will definitely be using them again Yvonne West

We came down to visit my son and his girlfriend who live in nearby Tidworth and decided to go for Sunday lunch before heading home. We opted for being served in the bar area in order that we could bring my son's dog along too....

Came with my sister for a vegan Sunday roast (I had beef). All got a bit confused and some mix ups with the food orders but when food sorted and arrived was very tasty, particularly the puddings. Have eaten here before and as before staff were friendly and accomodating. Only downside was we had to sit out in the garden some distance from pub as couple of regulars smoking at the little service window to the bar and bar / restaurant area smelled of smoke. Also some of the early Sunday drinkers / clientele not so friendly - par for course for most pubs but does make me think we'll avoid Sunday next time. Weekday evenings better for a quiet and tasty meal.

We had our daughter and her fiancé’s engagement party here at the weekend and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. The food, as always, was absolutely fantastic, brought out quickly, especially for such a large number of people. The landlady was extremely accommodating and helpful. As a family we have eaten here many times as it is so good it’s where we always want to go!

Average food. Nice service but the waitresses stand and stare at you eating your meal so it’s quite uncomfortable.

I had the lasagne and my partner had a black rock. We shared what we had and both agreed this was top quality food and service. All through our meal the waitresses were asking if everything was OK and very attentive. Even the landlady Jane...

We were a group of 8 adults, who have all just had wonderful meals at this pub restaurant. They have a great selection on their menu from regular pub style meals and my favourite, their fabulous black rock steaks. I say steak, but you can also have lamb, gammon various steaks and fish. The venue has a lovely warm atmosphere and the staff albeit young were friendly and attentive to our needs. We look forward to enjoying more meals there in the future.

Went for dinner this evening for my mother in laws birthday. Nice service from the 2 young waitresses throughout. I received my lasagne which was dry and the chips were rock hard and inedible. I had one mouthful and could not eat it. Politely complained...

WOW! absolutely lovely, the steak melts on the tongue without the need to chew. The 10oz fillet steak is the one I'd recommend. Staff and landlady are welcoming and friendly in a typical old village pub. Definitely going back.

We booked a table for four on a Friday lunch time as a reward for a 12 km local walk. We had the only table in the restaurant part of the pub but others were eating in the bar. The welcome was warm, the service...

Traditional country pub. Staff extremely nice and welcoming. Good pub food and ales at very decent prices. The Eton mess is a hit! I strongly recommend if in search for a good Sunday meal. Booking is safe.

First time visit. Definitely not my last...you may think ' who goes and pays to cook their own meat'? Well, if you want it cooked your way......see where I'm coming from? Anyway, the food was absolutely beautiful, the desserts were amazing. Spend a little extra and treat yourself to this place. HOT ROCKS is an amazing idea, the steak is just THE BEST, proper onion rings, all I can say is, Eat here and you will NOT be disappointed. I cannot recommend it enough, I mean check out my pics, the Gammon was beautiful, I will say though, if you don't like salty meat don't have it. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed it.
