Went for my daughters 18 birthday celebration, there were 18 of us of mixed ages, it was an amazing time, couldn’t fault the service or entertainment and would definitely return

Fantastic Saturday Drunch, staff are friendly, service was great and entertainment was fabulous!! I would recommend this venue for anyone !!

Can’t really review as they cancelled the show 2 days before! No warning just told that circumstances out of their control, however looking at other reviews it looks like it happens quite often! Maybe they didn’t have enough bookings for a Friday night who knows? Very disappointed considering we booked it in February for a girls catch up

The show was a lot of fun, the dancers and performers were great. Food was ok, did the job. The service however, was really slow for a bottomless brunch. I felt for the staff as there was not enough of them at all. I can’t fault them for working hard but they just couldn’t keep up with how many groups there were. We waited with empty glasses a lot. If that was sorted out, I think it would be a canny spot.

Second time being at the venue and loved both times and deffo will be back

We attended an 80s drunch for a hen party and what an amazing atmosphere. Food was gorge, service was fast and entertainment was brilliant. Highly recommend 👌

Great atmosphere, fantastic service, mediocre entertainment and poor quality food also deafeningly loud BUT that said I am a (young) middle aged woman had I been 30 years younger I suspect my review would have been more favourable . I also knew what I was letting myself in for so I shouldn’t complain but for those of you are not sure what the PP is actually like take note - if you want to go out with your friends to get drunk, dance and have a good time then this is the place to go, if you want to eat good food and catch up with friends over a decent bottle of wine it is not.

Amazing experience for our child, who attended a birthday celebration. She loved the karaoke and mocktails as well as the overall night club experience.

Starting from booking the whole experience was not great . I booked for my 40th birthday using website and paid deposit too. Few days later I received email saying that they don’t t know how I booked it as the date and event were not available or did not exist ( no offer of changing date or mention of refund of deposit) I than sent email asking to book for different night and transfer my deposit .Reply came few days later ( communication is terrible ) . I than sent another email to add 2 more people - no reply for few days again . Finnaly reply came but those people I wanted to add made other plans as it took ages for reply . On the night I mentioned to the staff we are 7 people instead of 9 and they said that’s fine . Show was lovely but everything else terrible - service super slow - we were constantly going to the bar to order more drinks but we were told is table service only so we were without any drinks at time and no server to be seen . Communication is the worse I ever seen and we were charged for 9 tickets instead of 7 . I wrote email complaining about being overcharged days ago and guess what ? Still waiting for email . Am very disappointed with all above and wished I could celebrate my 40th birthday elsewhere . Nice venue , nice entertainment but what a let down on everything else ., very disappointed customer and all my friends too

Went to the Pirates of the Peacock night on Friday for my mam's birthday. The whole show/atmosphere was fab, from the beginning to end, staff were great, friendly and on hand ready for your next order, food was beautiful and came quickly. The performers were amazing! Would definitely recommend the show and we will be back!

Absolutely loved this place, it exceeded all my expectations the food was lovely, drinks kept flowing. The dancers/ singers, aerialist, woman with the fire, the servers was all on point on ensuring we had the best night, There was 15 of us for my hen party and each and everyone of us enjoyed every bit. Would highly recommend again and again Thank you for making my night one to remember 😊 They got everyone who was celebrating something so they was over 10 of us on the stage and 1 by 1 we got introduced and did a dance to different music it was such a laugh.

We had a great night, we did not eat but the food looked and smelt amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was fantastic!! The show itself was very enjoyable, we look forward to booking again for the next show, a very talented group performing and the timing of the short breaks allowed for a fun and entertaining night. The compere was very funny and was very interactive with the audience throughout which made for a funny evening between acts. Could not fault it honestly!

We all had a great night the show was amazing very talented dancers and singers. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. We were older ladies as wasn’t sure if it was to young for us but we didn’t feel out of place we enjoyed every second. Even thinking of booking again for Xmas. Thank you all for a wonderful evening. 😃😃

Appalling!!! The worst service I have ever experienced, 1 drink in 2.5 hours we were there as the waiter just didn’t come back even though we asked him 5 times. Told we couldn’t order food because the kitchen was closed, but we couldn’t get the waiter to order any. Overall a terrible evening which ruined the night.

If I could leave zero stars I would. 12 of us paid £65 each to come here for a hen do. We were seated late then told we couldn’t order food as the kitchen was shut despite them not replying to our emails about the pre-ordered food. The waiter came to our table once to take the drinks order and didn’t come back despite us asking, so the whole time we were there we only managed to get one drink. When we complained they thought giving us pizza and chips, and giving the bride a sparkler to hold would make up for the terrible experience and make up for the £65 we spent each. Would not recommend anyone going!

Felt like it was a shambles we went as a party of 12 for a hen do with pre ordered food which was not allocated then told we could order from the table and not seated until 8:15 took drink order which took nearly an hour to get drinks to the table and said would come back for food order asked several times if we could order food then to be told no orders taken after 8:30 so no food from the pre order or the small plates we could have ordered from the table after complaining about this we did get some pizza and chips to share but this was not what we ordered or anywhere near what was on the choices from the menu majority of table only had one drink in two hours as the table service was non existent to say we we’re disappointed is an understatement

Spent £550 for a drunch, Didn’t start on time Gave us the wrong seats we had 2 booths booked we got 1 booth and a little pop up table next to kitchen door was tragic. All drinks were wrong give us cheap Prosecco, the food was all wrong 3 people who did eat have food poisoning now, the rest was dry and awful worst food to date no veggie or vegan options , one girl wasn’t even finished her meal and they just took it as they all on a time limit. The show hahaha well wow I mean they did about 2 dances absolutely tragic music it was a shambles they then got general public up on stage who actually had the floor jumping. Tried to complain we got spoken to like crap.

I emailed this feedback directly to the purple peacock a month ago but have had no response. I visited the purple peacock on Saturday 13th July with my group for a hen party. I've received the email asking me to leave a review however as I thought an email would be more appropriate. Firstly, I'd like to say we thought the entertainment was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. There were however, some issues surrounding the food and drink service. Firstly, while I completely understand the servers are unable to bring food out during the performance, the slow speed at which our starters were brought out meant that 2 of our party were left without food while everyone else was eating. These then appeared 15 minutes later while everyone else plates were being cleaned away. Secondly, despite correctly filling in the pre order form for the food, the wrong food was served to 2 members of our party, which resulted in a vegetarian taking a bite to find out it was in fact meat. Thirdly, despite being assured that our pre ordered cocktail trees would be ready for our arrival, I had to ask several times for these, we waited over 30 minutes for drinks. More seriously, one of the cocktail trees we ordered was alcohol free due to a member of our party being pregnant and another being tee total. A server brought over a cocktail tree and assured us it was the alcohol free one, this turned out not to be the case and it was only after insisting several times that this was checked and finally rectified. These issues meant that for myself as the organiser, the first 90 minutes of my night was taken up with chasing up food and drinks orders that should have been straight forward due to the fact that we pre ordered. Additionally, the mistakes with the food and drink were quite serious given the circumstances

Came here on Saturday for The Greatest Show Drunch! Was the best brunch I’ve been too. The performance was absolutely amazing , the service was so fast and the cocktails were super tasty ! I got the peacock burger which was unreal. Will 100% be coming back and couldn’t recommend this venue enough !

Bottomless brunch here is appalling. £45 per person for freezing cold food and FOUR drinks... don't bother!!! The staff were all lovely, but there were nowhere near enough of them. Appalling value. Will never go back.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I originally thought the songs playing were not being sang by the lady. Phenomenal voice, brilliant entertainment. The staff were great. Can’t wait to book again.

We went for my daughter’s 18th, the show was amazing, the girls were beyond beautiful and so talented. Aswell as the male dancer who’s just lit it up. The hosts, and all the other staff were incredible also. Drinks were insanely good. Will definitely come back!

north_east_food_news It was great at the @purplepeacockncl we had so much fun we had a bucket of 6 beersq5. for f25 and a bucket of 6 bottles of cider r♦ (almost pint bottles) for f30 and got 10 Decor was very nice there was a good atmosphere and staff were really friendly and so helpful The entrainment was amazing with a very good good audience participation. Brilliant place for girls night out well worth the money Sorry to say we had to pay a extra £40 because there was 15 of us Unfortunately it too over 45 minutes to get ypur staff to give us a bar tab then when sorted the drinks came after we had been in the venue over a hour After that we all had a fantastic experience your staff were great I really dont see why everyone had to pay such a Big Deposit 😕

Four of us came to the Cafe Mambo Brunch on Saturday it was absolutely brilliant, service and drinks were flowing, food really nice, will defo be back again and highly recommend.

10000% RECOMMEND!! I was designated with booking the Hen Party and I wanted something different, I know I didn't want to wander aimlessly around bars! I'm so glad I found The Purple Peacock. The food was amazing, the drinks were great - we pre-ordered everything beforehand, so everything was on our table for us getting there. We were a table of 15 - everyone was raving the next day about hour great the show was. The atmospheres is something else! The dancers are gorgeous! The vibes were exactly what we needed. Any hens or big groups who want to eat, drink & dance - don't think twice about booking. We booked the Carnival Summer evening show, and I think I'll rave about how great our night here was forever! I think any Bride to be would love one of these nights! Can't wait to have an excuse to try another themed night. Can't thank you enough, the Bride & Hens had the night of there lives!! First class as always, amazing atmosphere - party starts as soon as you get there. Staff can’t do enough for you, food was good and the drinks flowed non-stop. It’s our go to for any special occasion. We always have the best time!!

Not worth the money - service poor and had to ask numerous times for drinks orders also got given a cocktail where the syrup had ran out of the pump and was undrinkable. Zero alcohol in it. Entertainment was a let down and we were tortured all night by the shot boy to buy shots. Our seats were also terrible we had our back to the main stage, won’t be going back.

I attended for the Mamma Mia show night on Friday - the show was sensational! Everybody in my party was blown away. The staff working were very professional and attentive. Was an amazing night and would definitely recommend!

Great time here at the R&B Bottomless Brunch on 08/06/2024. Atmosphere was absolutely buzzing as soon as you walk in. Entertainment was amazing, and the staff were so attentive and quick service. Food was of a good standard although the portions were quite small, but honestly other than that I can not fault it!

So where to begin..... lets start with the positive! Booked the Purple Peacock for my 50th Birthday Bash. Girls aloud theme was fab. Great atmosphere and great performers. Thats were the positivity ends! When booking we were asked to pre order our arrival drink, which sounds a great idea. I even provided Greta a spreadsheet confirming which person had ordered in terms of arrival drink and food order. This was obviously ignored and we were presented with random drinks that we hadnt chosen. To makes matters worse cocktails were warm, prosecco was warm, in fact all drinks were warm! I asked several members of staff who in essence were clueless. I then spoke to a supervisor who was abrupt and had zero customer service skills. My group of 16 people were sat around with no drinks for at least the first half hour. This was very frustrating as they were very quick to inform us of last orders!! Food - average. Would I recommend unfortunately not. Really poorly organised and we certainly didnt get value of £45 in drink & food!

We had an INCREDIBLE night! Came to see the Lady Burlesque show and it was even better than I had imagined! Incredible atmosphere, everyone working at the place was lovely, the dancers were incredible, and the singing was magical!

Absolutely sensational night out! First time there and really couldn’t believe it. Great service and wow, what a show. We saw Lady Burlesque. A variety of everything. Singing, dancing, acrobatics, fire eating… My friend recently returned from New York where she saw Moulin Rouge on Broadway and she said the female singer was better than in the Broadway show. True talent. Thanks Purple Peacock for an unforgettable night out.

We came last year and it was fab! Loved the platters, service was brilliant and the show was just as good! However we were there yesterday 18/05 for mamma Mia. Firstly they’ve changed the food and it was ok but last years was way better. Mamma Mia show was rubbish honestly. The service was damn right atrocious. We paid £825 for a party of 17 and half of us only had 4 drinks. They kept taking our orders but then ‘forgetting’ us. I asked the young waiter what was happening and he told me to ‘calm down’ so I went to the manager who said he would sort it out yet still brought less drinks than we were still waiting for. So we won’t be coming back again unfortunately. The security guards were absolute kill joys too. So different to last year. Our whole party of 17 we’re thoroughly disappointed aswell as others I spoke to whilst in the queue for the toilets

I did the clubland bottomless brunch and it was outstanding 🤩 the atmosphere was so lively and everyone was singing and dancing. All the staff were amazing and they never stopped all night. The staff singing and dancing were great and had the whole room up on their feet. (Loved the dance off on the stage and the lady that was dancing with fire 🔥!!! It’s was incredible) The waiting staff never stopped and always made sure you were never without a drink. It was constantly flowing for drinks and food was lovely. Definitely the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had. Couldn’t recommend more…. I know I will definitely be booking back up for a brunch 💃🏽🥂.

We recently visited with my 3 year old daughter and my wife for a “make my day event” with buzz , Rex, Elisa and Repunzal characters and we absolutely loved it. Food was fantastic and plenty of it, great atmosphere and make my day events were absolutely fantastic

Overall it was a good experience could of been better but did have a good time. Staff were lovely and helpful. The food however is not worth the price nearly had a heart attack when our bill arrived! Only downfall unfortunately

We did have to wait for our drinks package we ordered, I had to prompt the guy looking after us BUT, we had an amazing time, I booked The Burlesque Show for my Friends birthday, we took our Daughters along and we all had an amazing night, the whole show was fabulous, the dancers, the singers, fabulous then when the show was finished the aftershow party was a D.J and a Saxophone player who played along with the D.J and mingled through the crowd as everyone was dancing with the glow banners provided. We will definitely return and I'm going to try and arrange a Works Christmas 🎄 Party, as 'The Purple Peacock 🦚 💜 is the place to be for an absolutely fantastic night. Thank you all @ The PP keep up the fantastic work. The serving staff were lovely but very busy and really helpful. Thank you

Absolutely fab time at Purple Peacock on Sat 27th for Charva Tunes Drunch!!! From start to finish the service was amazing, hats off to the amazing Archie, he kept us topped up with our drinks, we never had to wait for our next one, and as a group of 7 of us he had his work cut out !!! Atmosphere and Music were faultless.... just 90mins was not long enough!!! Already planning our next girls night !

Cocktails were grim, made a complaint about this and only 1 of 4 were replaced. servers were rude as anything when this was disputed with them. everything is just a bit grim overall and wouldn’t recommend even to someone i don’t like.

Honestly food was good as was the show but the service of the bottomless brunch drinks was appalling 10 people on 2 tables for 8 max (we were squashed In) and we managed 3 drinks in the 90 minutes due to how slow the drinks were in coming out really not worth it Slug & Lettuce blows this out of the water hands down

Had a wonderful girls night at the Motown show and was again wowed by the performance, an additional lovely touch was the saxophonist who was just great. A lovely unique venue with professional staff which made me feel very safe and secure to get up and dance and not be worried about my drink or bag too much. Food was fantastic and an experience overall that I felt was well worth a visit.

Me and my friends did the Mamma Mia bottomless brunch and could not fault a thing! Service was 10/10 our server Archie kept us well topped up, every member of staff was super friendly and attentive. Music was amazing, atmosphere great too! Definitely will be back!

The serving staff were lovely and the cocktails were delicious! Unfortunately some extra people were squeezed in on the table next to us which left us with little room despite paying for VIP seats.

8 of us did viva las Vegas evening show , we waited 15 minutes in the cold before we got seated then when we got to the table we waited another 45 minutes to get a drink . Service was absolutely terrible and the attitude of the staff wasn’t great . Definitely wasn’t a fun show night every time you got up to have a dance you were told to sit down . They definitely try and drag the show out to keep you there longer ,We left early as it was very disappointing . Definitely not worth £30 with a Complimentary watered down drink .

It was my daughters birthday and our first time at The Purple Peacock. The princess show was amazing and they made my daughter feel extremely special. I’ll not be able to top this without a trip to Disneyland so looks like we will be celebrating her birthday there every year! Oh and the adults had fun too. The food was amazing and I’ll definitely be going back for the adult shows.

Went to The Greatest Showman on Sunday 18th Feb - what can I say …… it was ab brilliant!!!!! Wasn’t sure what to expect but totally surpassed everything. Stilted woman and magician on entry - popcorn, gummy sweets and candy floss available (all inc in the price). Beautiful meal and child’s buffet was both plentiful with enough choice. The show was great - fantastic singing and dancing, trapeze artist, fire eater, games and disco. Will defo keep looking for future events

Great show, mediocre everything else. We went for Clubland bottomless brunch on Saturday, the show was fantastic and the staff were nice. However, everything was running late it took 15minutes to get seated and there wasn't enough waiting space so everyone was cramped together or out in the cold. The drinks were really weak and not that nice for the price. The food was terrible and embarrassingly late. We were served small portions of cold food 10 minutes before the end of our drunch. The vegetarian option was okay, the burger poor and my friend's food was forgotten about. Granted we did receive an apology- the staff were very kind and our waiter attentive. We received an apology bottle of prosecco which we could have just ordered as part of the drunch so it was a poor apology but we appreciated the gesture. Would maybe go again but would book significantly in advance as the tables at the front got by far the most attention, food came out first etc, we were seated at the back and felt very forgotten about. Also we booked and ordered off of the original menu, the food&drink menu changed with little to no notice, little apology and no option to cancel/refund as it wasn't what we had originally agreed to pay for. This was especially disappointing as we could no longer get the drinks we really wanted. Overall a mixed bag, really disappointing as the show really was fantastic.
