I had an amazing experience at The Goose. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. But what really impressed me was the quality of the food and drinks. I ordered pizza and it was cooked to perfection, with flavors that just popped. I was blown away by the attention to detail and care that went into every aspect of my meal. The prices were very reasonable too. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Great pub with good selection of drinks and food. Carvery available as well as burgers, pizza and other food. Great service, nice friendly staff. During the game days can be busy, so you can feel the atmosphere. Been here many times.

I recently visited the Goose restaurant in Newcastle. I ordered food at my table, which included garlic and mushrooms for the starter. For the main course, I had macaroni, cheese and Apple pie with custard for dessert. However, I never had any symptoms when I left the restaurant on my way back home. Sore stomach and almost poo with pain, a fluttering feeling in the belly, aching, my feet chill, ls down my back dizz,iness, and lightheadedness. When I visited home, I felt dizzy and very sick with diarrhoea; this severely ruined my trust in restaurants, which made me never revisit the restaurant. I'll never eat there

I went to this place and had a carvery with my daughter and her friends. The food was ok the staff are friendly and helpful. Will return again one day .

Very disappointed today only Turkey on not many people in and staff weren't very friendly or apologetic for lack of to say the least

Man behind the bar was lovely. Food was not great. Asked for no hot sauce on the pizza, it came with hot sauce. One side was badly burned. The other pizza, allegedly a chicken fajita, had virtually no chicken on it, but plenty of salsa! Ice cream toppings did not have much variety.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

First time here- Walked in and the stench of wee hit really hard. It smelt like the entire carpet was soaked in punters urine. The chairs were grotty and tables need a better clean. Toilets were like some back-alley grubby bar. For all this it gets 0 stars. Shocking for a city centre main road pub. Food was ok. Not bad but not amazing. Carvery was nice. 3* Staff were lovely though. Manager seemed decent too. 4* Get the impression staff having a rough time because owners are not sorting out problems, which is never good for morale. Sadly as it was and the stench when first walking in I would not come back. Which is a shame because staff actually cared. And it's obvious they'd thrive if the place was better.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Goose pub and restaurant in Newcastle Upon Tyne! The variety and value of their offerings truly impressed me. The set menu is a steal, offering a delightful three course meal starting from just £10.99, and the option of two courses from £8.99 is equally tempting. The all you can eat breakfast blew me away with its generous selection of sausages, bacon, free range eggs, hash browns, baked beans, plum tomatoes, fried bread, toast, and jams, a breakfast lover's dream come true! The carvery was a delicious highlight, and the bottomless ice cream sundae stole the show. Being able to indulge in dairy soft serve ice cream with an array of toppings and sauces was a treat beyond words. The Goose truly offers an exceptional dining experience that leaves you satisfied and craving for more. Five stars without a doubt!

The food, service and staff are amazing.. the toilets however were dirty, both the ladies and the baby change, that is the only thing that let's it down. Highly recommend the sunday carvery, sorted my hang over right out! I love how they do pizza too as my kids are fussy and dont eat caverys. Would definitely visit again.

We have celebrated our daughters birthday andhad Pizza carvery. It was amazing experience,food was delicious and staff was polite and helpful.I will rate 10/10.This is perfect place.i got many compliments for amazing pizza carvery and specially chef Dave was kind and had done really good efforts making all children carve there pizza. Kids liked ice cream as well. I will really like to have one more pizza party for my son and will highly recommend. It is worth value for money and fun filled activity. All guest came were amazed and are recommending place for pizza carvery. Thanks

Great place to have pizzas. Kids just loved this as they got to make their own pizza. Dave was really helpful with all the stuff.

It also had live football on too so there was a very positive crowd without being annoying

Dave on the carvery is a bloody legend. All my homies love Dave. Would recommend Dave to a friend (and the rest of the restaurant I suppose).

I live around the corner and this place is going downhill rapidly, my experience this evening I walked in with 3 other family members (21:05) for a couple of drinks and Josh behind bar greeted me with you will have to make it quick as we are closing. Fed up of the cold reception in an establishment I used to visit daily in the past

Found a long black hair in the mash on my carvery, i ended up pulling it back out of my mouth, guess its something that cannot be avoided with people reaching over to serve their own food but I won't be eating here again. I didn't complain just left the premises with over half a plate left on the table.

Food and drinks fine, But Ladies toilets were disguising one full and flush didn't work, one door lock not on, Bring back lockdown

Usually a really nice restaurant, this time round we turn up to just a joint of gammon no other meat, they didn't even think to mention to the guests turning up that they had no meat what's the point of a carvery with no carvery. Anyway while the rest of the family went and ate there dissapointing meatless "carvery" I enquired about the chipshop platter. "no chipshop platter" fish and chips "non at all"... Macaroni cheese it is... So after 20 minutes of waiting for macaroni cheese I sat and ate alone as everyone else had finished there pitiful food. Kinda think they would have a good supply of meat... Being a carvery and all? Shame as we come all the time and its always been a good experience, guess we won't be coming on a Thursday ever again. -__-

Good cheap & cheerful and plenty of TV's to watch sport on..

Would give it half a star if optional. It took 30 minutes to cook two kids burgers and three potions of chips. They clearly forgot about our order or couldn't be bothered to make it because after complaining about it at the bar the order was plated up in five minutes.

Went their for breakfast on the day we travelled home, its all you can eat and you pay extra for mushrooms, free refills on tea and coffee, what more do you want ( had to go to the bar for tea).

Lovely food,Louise was such a brilliant chef and even came to our table. Attentive staff and very clean bar. Deffo be back again.

When we went up for the carvery the veg was dry had to wait 15 minutes for fresh veg but the staff was very nice would still come back

What more could you want than good service along with great meats with your meal

We have ordered a friday meal deal £12 for 2 cod and chips Price is good But the fish is too oily and tasteless and the over all quality is bad You can enjoy a better cod in any supermarket

Just brilliant! On a short trip from St. Helen's amd came here on our past night. Wish we had found it sooner! Fab, lovely service from everyone we came across. Gorgeous food/desserts with great portion sizes. Would've been great value even without the eat out to help out scheme. Can't fault it!

Visited the goose yesterday 17 .7 20 for our family lunch we love their carvery. I found it disappointing food was dry and not very warm. But I suppose with low customer numbers the food sits a lot longer in the trays. Hopefully this problem will improve with more people returning to normal.

I actually started serenading the barman, with the old song about the pub with no beer. Not 1 single pint of actual ale in the whole pub. Meal was ok tho.
