Had a lovely belated carvey meal with my partner yesterday food was lovely presented hot and plenty to chose from well done to everyone at punch tavern

Stop here for a lunch with some kids on a wet Saturday. Staff were friendly and the food was extremely good value. Carvery for £8.95 is a bargain.

as always the staff were helpful and friendly and the food served up was hot and tasty, we have no complaints . we keep coming back as its one of our favourites places to visit

Generally a pleasant experience. Price/value was good. The burger I had wasn't quite to my liking. Drink quality was good as was the service.

The punch tavern arranged a wake and certainly looked after us very well. The food was hot and very tasty and we did not need to wait at all, I highly commend Abigail who nothing was too trouble and made it a highly pleasurable experience. I would recommend greatly

Roast dinner everyday and best quality for money by far , loved it 😁. However, during the kids holiday it is absolutely packed , struggled to have a conversation with my friends 😂

Quick and pleasant place to grab a Sunday lunch. Nothing outstanding just good honest food from the carvery.

Big place. Lots of parking. Cheap breakfast. Good quality food (not sure about breakfast pizza but I guess some like it ) But (like other examples of the chain) somewhat “hostile”. Pre payment (ok) before they issue you with a cup, 49p extra for mushrooms (against an all you can eat breakfast!) and just air of “we are checking you aren’t trying to get something for nothing”. It’s not the people it’s the way the business operates. Just feels unfriendly to me. I thought the first one of these I visited was a one off. Now I have been to a different one seems they are all the same. Wont rush to try another.

Attention to detail for allergies

Nathan our server was absolutely fantastic and made sure that we were looked after. We had to move tables and Nathan ensured that we moved to a cooler space and changed our table number for us in the kitchen. Thanks Nathan!

My children state it's the best meal they have had even better than mums cooking. Pizza, roast and brownies eaten. The children want to come next week. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and down to earth, involving the children in the discission making.

Visited here with my husband, I ordered some small plates and my husband ordered a burger (on Mondays they do half price burgers) food was amazing!! I don't say this very often but credit where credit is due, the manager on shift was very attentive and we had a lovely little chat, sadly it didn't seem like they was as busy as they deserved to be, maybe it's not known well enough but I would fully reccomend anyone to try their burgers or the small plates (we didn't try the carvery or anything else)

Carvery on a Monday , Paul served us and was attentive and Friendly. Food great for the price.

The staff were not attentive or helpful. The food was dry , not fresh and Definatly not worth the money . The free drink offered on app is a flavored soda water , not even allowed a Coke or lemonade . All in all really disappointed yet again .

Great customer service and delicious food

This is the second time there. The first time was good. We ended having to cancel the food as after 30 minutes the starters of 2 soups had not arrive. When I went to cancel they were fine over this and helpful. One of the staff went to find how long the soup would take and said it would be another 10 minutes. We could not wait as had something else to go to in about 10 minutes time. Others were complaining and being told there starters would be about 30 minutes

Had the small plate roast, just as good as usual. What do you want for £4.49? £6.49 for normal plate, go big for extra £1.79. 30/6/22. New booking system!!! Doubtful progress!! I think it will cause confusion. But hey ho who am I to know, I'm only the customer. 23/9/22. Booking system seems to have been abandoned, along with being met at the door and taken to a table. Mush simpler to find your own table. We had Fish & Chips today. Very nice, and good value at 2.4. £12. 12/12/22 All you can eat breakfast. We'll worth it, as long as you're not expecting posh nosh. Traditional English fried breakfast. Very nice. 18/6/23 All you can eat breakfast. 11/7/24 Small roast, not bad considering it was very a quiet, so no quick turnover of food........ Why oh why do waiting staff cal mixed couples "GUYS"? I am not a guy, never have been, never will be. I have the wrong accoutrements to be a GUY. Please use an alternative, folks, people, Sir or Madam would be even better. There are plenty of alternatives. Not just the Punch do this, it's a common thing, amongst waiting staff, and it is really annoying, if you're a female, and proud to be so. That's it rant over. The staff are all lovely.

Went to carvery for my birthday and had such a lovely time, I fluffed our order when I ordered but our server Tay went above and beyond to help us and was just so friendly. We had such a lovely meal, the food was amazing as usual and just wanted to say how much Tay did to make our evening so enjoyable.

Visited with family. Food was great. Carvery staff fab. Bar staff not so good. Attitudes were a bit bad, ordered on their app. App is buggy as despite selecting meals on app, some went through wrong. Drinks came wrong. Kids meal missed off the desert despite it saying included on menu and was told to buy the kids pudding. Bar staff Attitudes made ir feel like it was our fault.

Absolute disgusted about my visit here today. It was father's day a time to celebrate. Was not greeted hurried in, no hospitality or customer service whatsoever. Food was horrible. Did not cater to my diatery requirements. Overpriced garbage. We're not going back again.

A Very Comfortable/cosy place, friendly staff and great food

We just popped in as we were driving past one day. We hadn’t been in for about 10 years. We found the roast was brilliant. Everything was perfect. The staff were more than helpful. A very nice experience and we are planning on going back next month.

every time i go there its like heaven the food is amazingly fantastic and the service is always soo nice and its just a great place

Food pretty poor. All meats were overcooked. Beef was more fat than meat. Needed knife and fork to eat the gravy. Soon got cold. Did mention about beef to waitress. Just said she will pass it on.

Lovely dinner with our two children. The baby bowl is such a good idea for babies needing a tiny portion. Staff very friendly and welcoming! Particularly Paul who was very attentive. Lovely way to spend time together on Father’s Day!

The food was amazing and so was the customer service we came in 20 mins early from our booking time and were still seated instantly. As well our server Paul was a great help checked on us multiple times and make sure our visit was a great as it could be couldn’t thank the staff enough.

100% recommend. Really good food. A good choice of vegetables. 4 different meats. Definitely be going soon.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Don't think they've ever spoken to or tried to help people before. We walked out and didn't get the chance to eat or drink.

First time going to meet a friend for lunch. We opted for the cavery, which was good value for £8.99. Staff are really fridnly and service was really good.

Not allowed a carvery because a party of 11 was due to come in, also were not allowed to sit on a unbooked table incase the party of 11 had to sit on it. There are multiple tables that would be suitable for our party but in the end all 10 of us were split and sat at 4 different tables. Not sure why it's called Stonehouse pizza and carvery when we were told nobody could have a carvery! Eventually told a table that originally wasn't available was then available but a squeeze. Had to wait ages, Half of the table had eaten and finished before the order food arrived. Salt and pepper empty and not enough cutlery on table. Ran out of j20s They had to turn the toy machines off while we were playing and give us money back as they broke...

Lovely meal and great value for money, generous with the portions too, brilliant Carvery with plenty of other options. Friendly staff with a great sense of humor and quick service even at peak times. Will definitely be back.

We came for dinner using a gift card, my husband chose the carvery but when seeing how unappetising it looked asked to change to something else but was refused. I had calzone which was fine but I also had a side of chips which sat on the serving area for a good 5 minutes before the rest was finished. There were not enough staff so I collected it myself, the chips were not hot by then and my husband's carvery looked dry and inedible.

We go there frequently. You can't beat the roast. Better than T carvery.

Manager was very helpful the beef was very tough gammon dried out and hard turkey was very nice yet the week before everything was absolutely perfect no comparison

Very disappointed to find that the beef had run out on the carvery, this was the only reason we came to the pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful but I found the place to be grubby and the ladies toilets were quite a walk away, which is difficult if you're disabled, the disabled toilet was locked and it wasn't easy to find a member of staff.

It’s not an all you can eat as you have to pay for mushrooms. Also be prepared to carry toast in your head as they refuse to give you a small plate for toast. Food is poor.

Nice greeting and seated immediately got drinks and queued to get food meat was carved nicely by friendly member of staff, food was very good and plentiful my only gripe, the veg was not very hot it was warm but not hot

First visit, wasn't explained how the system worked, said on table, tickets would be brought over after ordering on line. No tickets arrived. At carvery, vegetables hard under cook, seemed all frozen veg, even peas hard. I wanted to order on app, a sundae with no cream, was told could not do it on app. Had to then order separately and pay at bar. What was the point of the app. Kids liked the pizzas. Not really value for money at all.

What a lovely little pub! We fancied a carvery while travelling in the area for family reasons and this pub was very reasonably priced and the food was lovely, staff were welcoming and friendly. We were served by Jonathon and Claire who were helpful and ensured we had no allergies whilst ordering and even stopped for a chat as it was coming to the end of food service. Carvery was delicious and was exactly what we wanted, we also had a sundae each and that was prepared for us by Chef Jacob which finished our meal off perfectly, again this was very reasonably priced and served quickly. I would recommend this pub and if we are in the area again we would definitely come back.

I was served by Jonathan and the chef was Jacob, both very nice and welcoming! Jonathan was great at making sure we was happy and comfortable. Jacob was making sure we got everything we wanted. Very good service and food plus the atmosphere was very clean and everything we expected.

Been a couple times now, latest visit was for mothers day which was hectic as you can imagine, however greeted upon arrival, taken to our table (pre booked) food can be ordered and paid by scanning QR code on the table which was nice and easy rather than heading up to the bar to place an order, friendly service from the team from all aspects greet, table service, bar staff. The carvery is great good fresh meats, and sides very good value in my opinion, having been a few of us we had from carvery to pizza and burgers and sides nothing was disappointing which for a varied menu was pleasantly surprised with, kids play bit out the front too which is always a nice touch

Food is perfect and drink prices are very good

Carvery was delicious service was scarce had to ask for plates to be cleared and pudding to be served after waiting for 20 minutes after mains sticky toffee pudding was passed off as a muffin which was tasteless no toffee or sauce custard was nice if they have to use a muffin at least have toffee sauce other puddings we're okay just need to work on customer service.

Staff were all lovely, restaurant was a bit grubby but kind of what you would expect for a cheap carvery, it was the food that let it down. Obviously it could have been better because it was very quiet and most of the food had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. The stuffing was so hard it was like fibre glass, the green beans had gone kind of mushy, the onions in gravy had a gross skin on the gravy but were actually very nice once the skin was set aside, the potatoes were dried out. One thing that wasn't really crisp was the pigs in blankets as they were in a pot so were kept kind of soggy, I paid for 5 but there were only 2 left, 1 whole one and two broken half bits, maybe I should have been offered a sausage to go with them? Never having eaten a carvery here before I was disappointed to see that there were no condiments such as mint sauce, cranberry sauce, horseradish, mustard etc and the gravy was just not nice, a good proper beef gravy could have brought this meal together but it was just kind of bland and flat using a generic vegetarian gravy when it would have been nice to have the option. I'll just use Toby Carvery in future.

What's not to like. A carvery at a good price. And extensive menu for anyone not wanting a roast. Helpful and efficient service. We're leaving fully gut busted and not loads out of pocket.

All friendly as usual, we visit every week for our Sunday lunch on a Wednesday great culvery save cooking at home. Great service by Jon, Jasmine and Authur.
