Clean and tastefully decorated. Friendly staff, delicious meals and vegan options

Rooms are very outdated but very spacious. The weather was very hot and we had no air conditioning. We couldn't get it to cool down during the night through the small window. The breakfast was certainly okay. Not far from the city.

Great spot. But be aware this is just a chain. I hoped to find a cool English heritage house. You are better off to have breakfast elsewhere.

The newly refurbished rooms are fantastic and its a very short walk into town. Great value

Very warm welcome at this old hotel on the outskirts of the city with ample parking onsite. Room was well set out, particularly loved the water pressure in the shower! As it is an old building, the floors are creaky and walls quite thin, meaning we could hear the people moving about and talking in the next room. Fortunately they weren't too loud late at night.

Excellent location, good service, and newly refurbished rooms. All this and plenty of parking in the extensive grounds.
