Easily the best in Herne Bay, foods always delicious, hot, and the staff are very friendly.

Was recommended by a friend, and was pleasantly surprised, well cooked and well prepared, ideal amount, not stingy. Street parking, but plenty of it. Easy to find. Great customer service

I wish when you order your get your timing right told an hour wait . 1.40 later I get my order not the 1st time this happen , I know they lost my order as asked for name 3 times , no sorry we missed placed order we get it done ASAP or sorry it took so long . Best Chinese in Herne Bay by far.

We don't like it but my parents loved it so it comes down to personal choice. We find the food bland. Service was ok.

Very good service. Had sweet n sour chicken balls and Singapore rice noodles. The only thing I'd say, if you put fresh chillies in the Singapore noodle. They'd be fantastic, very tasty otherwise.

Visited the shop to order, as this is the easiest and quickest way( As they are extremely busy Saturdays). Waited 25 minutes for food and I arrived home with it steaming hot The food was amazing! My husband and I were very impressed as we have been to other Chinese takeaways in the bay and it's always a disappointment, greasy and boring. Nothing was greasy from Ming Garden, the vegetables were freshly cooked, with bite. Lovely sweet and sour pork balls with decent cuts of meat in. Pancake rolls were huge! A well deserved 5 stars, thank you so much MG for the beautiful meal! We will be back!

Food was wrong, when I phoned to complain there was no remorse on the phone, then went to the shop I was met by a very rude and abrupt owner not willing to take any responsibility and told me to order from elsewhere in future. Great business model??

The staff truly cares about your experience. About a month ago, we placed our order here. The staff was friendly. She spent quite a lot of time in recommending us their food patiently. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in Herne Bay. Highly recommend! A gentle reminder, be patient to wait for delivery especially during weekend.

Terrible restaurant the egg fried rice , chicken chow main and the banana fritters did not arrive and they refused me a refund and refused to give me the food I paid for the food was also cold when it arrived I was on the phone for 20 minutes trying to get a refund or the food

Always use ming garden I think the best in hernebay my family and friends always have chinese from here never had a bad one good local service take out or delivery a long wait some times but shows how busy they are and popular

I was quite wary to order because of the reviews but I couldn’t fault the food or service; it was piping hot and everything tasted so fresh, not greasy like so many takeaways. The duck was really crispy but not dry and the chicken satay was so so good. Will definitely be using again, the best we have had in herne bay.

Paying delivery fee even though we are under 3 miles away BUT amazing tasting food! Read my full review because I start with some negatives, end with some positives. We went to order with this takeaway and they quoted £25.50 of which £3.00 was for delivery which I questioned them about and they said that's because we are over 3 miles away. They claimed that we lived 3.4 miles away. Google Maps on my phone shows 2.6 miles away (GPS to their Address) Google Maps on my computer shows 2.9 miles away (address to address) If you look at the attached image you'll see Google Maps says we live under 3 miles away if you take the recommended / fastest route but if you take one of the alternative/slower routes it does take 3.4 miles away like they claimed. We ordered anyway because I couldn't be bothered to find a different chinese takeaway, they said that it would take 40 minutes for it to be cooked & delivered. The delivery took 35 minutes to arrive, I handed over the £25.50 and tried to tell the delivery driver that we are actually within the 3 mile radius (showed him on my phone to make it clear). Hopefully if I try and order again from them they will accept that we are within the 3 mile radius. The food on the other hand was really quite good, the food tasted great. The seasoning was on point, by far the best seasoned Chinese that I've eaten. The portion sizes were very good (except for Chicken Chinese Style which was a little on the small side considering the price) and delivery wasn't any longer than they estimated. I would order from them again however given that they are (wrongfully) charging me £3 for delivery I would only order if more than 3-4 of us are eating so the delivery fee isn't that much of an issue. Where as I used to order sometimes just for myself from my local chinese shop (which closed down during COVID) and they would deliver free of charge. The takeaway should really do their delivery fees on "bands" or make exceptions if someone is spending significantly more than the minimum delivery fee especially if they are only a tiny bit over in distance (which we were not over!) If you spend over £15 they should deliver for free within 3 miles, If you spend over £20 they should deliver for free within 4 miles, If you spend over £30 they should deliver for free within 5 miles.

Tasty food but don’t expect your order to be correct. We usually collect as they only allow card payment when collecting and not when delivering. The request of no pork is always made and it’s 50/50 whether it’s in there or not. On the last visit, I questioned it on returning home and the member of staff stated that they though ‘no beef’ was requested... only to go on and say the dish doesn’t contain beef. A little confused. And to make it worse, an apology but no option of a refund, exchange or anything.

Best Chinese in Herne Bay, perfect food, prices and service. Cant recommend enough

If by any miracle your can get through to this place to make an order you can expect to wait at least 40 minutes longer then when they tell you your food will arrive. The last few times I ordered it took on the worst day 103 times to get through. If I wasn’t to lazy I would have give up and cooked something myself. Already irate because it was 55 minutes from first attempting contact to getting through I was shocked to hear it would be an hour and 40 minutes for delivery. To top the whole ordeal off 2 hours and 20 minutes later the food turned up cold and wrong. I am clearly ignorant to how hard it is to get an order with 5 items in total is to get right but I expected them to be at least a tiny bit apologetic when I had to call them again to tell them I need them to change one of the items. They were not 😡. It’s a good job they serve the best food otherwise I would stop using them but I just can’t.

Waited two hours ordered at 18.20, delivered at 20.25 wife negotiated a discount on the door. 15 quid instead of 19.70 and still over charged as meal was missing food. when opened up order was incorrect. Never got the pancakes or duck meat and was given another portion of chips ( cucumber,/ onion pieces+ sauce in bag but no meat or pancakes) 8.20 duck pancakes. 5.00 roast pork chiow mein stuff 4.60 sweet sour chicken 1.90 chips 'After having rang up around 20.00 to find out whats happened'. And being shafted i wouldnt recommend this takeaway at all now. Their excuse waiting for transport...

Ming Garden is my favourite place to eat out in Herne Bay, the food is good quality and they have great veggie options- would highly recommend the Quorn Hong Kong Style dish

Was going to have delivered but busy for home delivery so collected. Pleasant owners. Good price. Food tasted lovely and NOT greasy and that after taste. Chicken chow me in. .Egg fried rice and other food items all good. Chicken balls large portion. Lean and cruncy. All very good. Will be back.

I won't eat any other Chinese takeaway - Ming Garden is the best in my opinion. When ordering takeaway I'm really fussy as everyone has different opinions of what they class as their favourite place... but all my friends agree that Ming Garden is the best chinese takeaway around. I do wish they had an online presence; menu, app/website ordering or took credit cards by phone. Although, I'd probably be eating it every night then!

Love food only thing is if you can’t get out you cannot pay over phone or at door with card use Ming garden for 7 years cause I couldn’t get out I had to use another who took card payment over phone

We have used Ming garden for years but sadly noticed recently lack of care with orders not being delivered complete, and taking over half an hour for missing items to be delivered and being fairly cold when they do arrive. Once I understand but this is the third consecutive order with items missing!

I always order from here. The meals are consistant using fresh traditional foods. The prices are reasonable, with free local in time delivery .

Always get my food here is so nice average prices they all charge about the same....food is always on time and always hot....I highly recommend people to go here for there Friday night takeaway....10/10!

Good food but order early as it gets busy

Very busy at the weekend so even an hour wait for collection. But if you are after MSG free (or low) it's a good choice. It has 4 stars on the council's scores on the doors.

The food here is absolutely amazing - we always buy from here and have done for years. Friends always comment on the freshness and quality and say wish they’d got a Chinese like this near them. Staff friendly and always happy to help. Keep up the excellent work.

The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We like to order Chinese here because of their great food and friendly service. We highly recommend it. A kind note to you, must be patient if you place an order during weekend as they are always busy on Friday and Saturday.

Although they can only offer a guarantee that there is only small amount of MSG in the food I haven't had any problems with the food. It tastes good, has a good appearance and texture. Worth a try if you aren't eating Chinese food trying to avoid MSG. Good prices, delivery available and cards accepted.

Made a large order to be delivered wasn't too bad on prince for the amount of food that was ordered and come before they estimated...everyone was happy with the food and would come back again.......

Always use this Chinese. Do expect a long delivery time. Walk in and wait is always about 15-20 mins depending on how busy it is.

We ordered our food the day before so it would be ready to be collected at 8 pm by ourselves after work however after arriving we was made to wait 20 mins without any apology and on getting home found that was missing items we paid for so I phoned the takeaway and spoke to the manager who tried to explain they very busy no apology for food missing and making us wait won’t be going bacck

7.20pm ordered food for delivery. Told 1hour. After several calls dinner arrives at 9.10pm. Freezing cold. I ring to complain and manager tells me there is no way it's cold. I explained it definitely is, she says driver will collect immediately and give refund. Now 10o clock, no one turns up, no refund, dinner in carrier bag. Have used Chinese before but won't be using again. Waste of money.

He estado utilizando esta para llevar más de un par de años y está bien, digo esto porque cuando un buen día o tranquilo, la comida es agradable, otras veces sus apresurados y grasiento.

La comida es generalmente fresco y bien preparado. Yo soy muy exigente con la comida y especialmente cuando los ingresos para llevar, nada increíble, solo bastante decente.

I can't knock the food at all. Have been told on numerous occasions that delivery will be within the hour. Unfortunately it's always 1 hour and 20 mins. On 3 or 4 occasions now they have forgotten to deliver my prawn crackers. May seen silly as it's not a main but it's besides the point. A reputable business should be mire on the ball. Once is acceptable but not the 5th time. When I rang to complain she was soooo rude. Basically they were busy!!! That was her answer. So are other take aways but they don't forget things!! Will not be using them again. All is good with them until you have to put in a complaint.

I went to Ming Garden on the Air Show day, 14 Aug. They took my order patiently and recommended the food which were suitable for my child who is allergic to some food ingredient although they were busy on that evening. After waiting for a while, finally I got my food ready and i walked to my car which was just nearby.Suddenly i heard a shout "Excuse me, Madam, it's your purse!" It's Ming Garden staff chasing after me just to return me the purse that i left in their counter. I truly appreciated their honesty. Meanwhile, their food is the greatest chinese that i have had. Curry chicken, beef chow mian and satay chicken on skewer is super delicious! 100% sure i will come back again if i am in Herne Bay.
