Just had a great meal with family. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. The food was fabulous ... and we all literally ate all we could!! Well worth the money. Thoroughly recommend!

Visited here with friends… always said how amazing this place is. Well how embarrassing for me when it wasn’t when I took friends there. Service very slow, orders forgotten about, when we did finally get some food it was tiny portions and cold. The food quality has really gone down, used to be fresh and tasty now it’s anything but. I don’t feel we got our moneys worth of food at all, and I’d avoid the toilets if I were you, they are in urgent need of repair and a good clean!! Sadly this place has lost its sparkle. Needs a good clean up and to bring its food standards back up to what they were.

My 9 year old daughter was charged as an adult. I was asked to provide with physical photo identification. I’m very disappointed. Going far with this.

Food was amazing!!Unlimited mains & starters for only £23.95 (Mon-Thurs) & £24.95 (Fri-Sun). All starters are delicious!! love their pork ribs, sesame prawns on toast & chicken wings!!!! Highly recommend going for more roasted duck!! As for mains, I love their Kung Po King Prawn & Sweet & Sour Pork (I reordered)! 10/10 the best Chinese food in Canterbury!!!

Superb experience! I've been studying in Canterbury for almost 4 years. All the Chinese restaurants in the city make me feel bad, but this one has super traditional Chinese food. We totally ordered 3 rounds starters, they are delicious! We also have a birthday party at that night! They shows really enthusiastic service.

I love this place,all the staff are making me feel like at home. Relaxing,enjoying and so touching. The foods are top level, the same as Michelin restaurant quality. But you not need to pay that much!

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The staff were disgustingly rude and I’m appalled with the way we were spoken to. We asked about the terms and conditions of the buffet as all three of us that went are dyslexic which we made the staff aware of and only asked a few valid questions and the way were spoken to was disrespectful. He just said the rules are just “common sense” what kind of customer service is this? I would not ever go to this restaurant again. Maybe you should learn some common sense in how to talk to talk to your customers because now you’ve lost some? You’ve got a lot of common sense right? If you want to be disrespected then I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time! We’re off to the Victoria hotel in Canterbury for the best carvery and also new far east is the best Chinese in Canterbury- unfortunately it’s closed on Tuesdays and that’s why we ended up here - bonus the staff are so friendly! I think the best way to put this is each to their own. We came here for the first time on a recommendation. We found the whole ordering a little bit odd and the rules on the menu made us chuckle but we muddled through. Starters were the best what we ordered was tasty and certainly hot. The mains were a disappointment, lamb with ginger and spring onion was tasteless, the Thai green looked like a pale soup and had no guts to it. Rice and noodles were ok. Prawns in plum were very nice but that’s about it. They give you the smallest of bowl to pop your food in which is bizarre so you end up popping your food on the plate your main comes out in. Not for us at all, with all that’s in Canterbury I would travel 10 mins down the road and eat there. Drinks wise, first glass of wine tasted totally different to the second which was the same order and the coke was pretty flat. Asked for a replacement got one but it was the same. Didn’t bother asking again. I also think the building is tired and the loos could certainly do with some attention. Would we go back, no and I can’t say we would recommend it either. Shame as it came highly recommended.

The food is OK at best, it's not great but it's not terrible either. They seem to do chicken very well, but most other things are overcooked most of the time. The last time we went, the crispy duck was exactly that, crispy! It tasted good, but it was tough. They also give you lots of plum sauce, but only the tiniest amount of spring onion and cucumber, which was all dried out, when you order the duck, which is very odd. The service is very good though, they are very attentive and friendly, the drinks come out quickly, as well as the food, which is always piping hot. The tables and chairs they use give the place a self-service café vibe, but not in a horrible way. It's always been clean when we went, including the toilets. We went mostly during the week and although they recommend you book, the place was empty, so pretty much guaranteed a table. They do get busier at the weekends, though, so might be worth booking to avoid disappointment.

The food quality has declined I'm very sad to say. The capital ribs sauce tasted like hp brown sauce. Sweet & sour chicken was sweet & sour onion. Yes it's not good anymore.

Their service is very warm and considerate and the meals dou exceptionally tasty! It's still highly recommended!

The variety of food is rich. And the service attitude is friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also warm. I will recommend it to my friends for dinner.

Avoid it used to be a good place to eat. Prices have rised and Standards have dropped will not be returning. Served food in cheap plastic shareing dishes which I would use for my child. Waste of money

Very nice food service very good but on our vist the cold coke we ordered and other people said same the ice they used on the night tasted really bad cholrine or like asked and was replaced straight away a little expensive for 2 people

Staff walked past us a lot food was slightly burnt , satay chicken was like a frisbee as was very flat, and hard but the food was nice was nice to get out of Thanet but not sure I will rush back

Outstanding late evening takeout comfort food!!

The restaurant was quite authentic n well decorated to celebrate n showcase Chinese New Year. Staff were bit inattentive to our ordering of drinks and food. Slow service throughout. Sadly. Child meals overpriced big time. Adults was ok. Food was amazingly good. Venue clean n very presentable. All in all a good night minus these issues. A good 3 out of 5 stars

Thought of giving this restaurant another try after being rushed on last visit. Overall the food was hot but not keen eating food while next to mould in window. As you can see the toilets are disgusting with holes and mould so not sure how they got pass Health check Don't think we would ever go back now and this restaurant was the best when it first opened.

This is a hard one to write about. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are great - but the whole system with ordering food is floored and leaves everyone feeling hungry or not able to choose a dish. I couldn't choose a dish for the starters as we are 7 people but could only choose 5 dishes... I can't eat nuts and don't like ribs.. which left me with 3 pieces of chicken the size of a small mushroom as we all shared a single plate of chicken You then have to wait until all dishes are empty before ordering any more starters so by then you can't be bothered and so it went on ...again just 5 dishes for the main and 1 teeny plate of noodles for my daughter while we had boiled rice because they wouldn't give me fried rice without egg in it but have 3 portions of egg fried rice to share with the other 6. It just made no sense. It is just a shambolic system and you literally have to beg to get anything.. even bamboo shoots we were told was over our 5 dishes between us!! They even brought out half a dish of beef.. literally 4 small pieces in sauce for my other half...? The portions are ridiculous and because of the system this place would only work if there were 2 of you or you had 2-3 hours of time to let one half of the table finish their choice of food and then the other half order theirs. Not one of us enjoyed it... such a shame. It could have been a great experience and a fair price at £24 a head if everyone could order a dish of their choice. For a bowl of rice, 2 duck pancakes and a bit of chicken over an hour and a half at that price, we won't be returning I'm afraid.

Food was good with a wide choice of dishes at a fair price all you can eat buffet the decor was a little bit dated but still pleasant good place to take friends and family the service was good and staff were friendly but there is a little room for improvement.

Love Chopsticks; the takeaway is always piping hot and fresh, and I have never had food missing or incorrect order. Service is very friendly and welcoming, never have to wait too long and will keep coming back as the food is delicious.

For my daughters 7th birthday this year she decided she wanted unlimited chicken satay, and we were absolutely over the moon when we attended chopstix this evening. I've visited the restaurant many times and it is constantly amazing! The food is perfect and just the right amount of quantity without losing its quality. This is the best chinese food restaurant I have ever been to.

First class meal and first class service. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff who are always available but never hover.

Came in today first ever visit! Very clean and tidy and lovely food, got a meal deal of the noddles bbq chicken and spring rolls which were amazing! The staff were lovely especially one called Gordon who made sure we had the best experience and told us what deals were best.

Use chopsticks once a week great food, very polite, excellent value. Can't wait until Friday again.

Not sure if the mixed race girl who served me was having a bad day but she was rude and her customer service was horrible. I get the food industry/retail work can be stressful at times but that shouldn’t be taken out on customers.

I don't really want to say too much because if this place becomes too popular....we won't be able to get a table. The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly. This is the best ever Chinese restaurant i/we have ever been too.

First time visit, booked for 6pm on a Thursday. Friendly greeting, staff checked booking, strange I thought - it’s empty?? Taken to a table and left for a short period before being asked what drinks. A limited but suitable selection. Japanese lager for me, aIndian Cobra for the others. By then we had asked, and had explained to us how the ordering went. 4 persons gave us a choice of 5 (of 17) starters. Fully recommend the chicken satay skewers. Our other choices were equally good and 4 of each (lots of the chicken “popcorn”). Then came the crispy duck, lots of it and 8 very thin pancakes. A little short of the cucumber, spring onion and thick (plum?) sauce, but more supplied when asked. At this point (around 6:45-7pm), we noticed how full the restaurant was - glad we had booked! By now we had chosen our 4 main courses and chow mein (one portion of between 4-but you can ask for more of the same). The portions seemed a little light at this time, but given the starters and duck, they do not want you leaving food, you can ask for more of the same order if you feel the need - we didn’t! Including 3 and 1/2 pints, Thursday night for 4 (the all you can eat menu is £20.95 Mon-Thursday £21.95 Fri/Saturday - NOT open Wednesdays) cost us less than £110. Not bad. Unobtrusive and pleasant service made it a very good night out with friends. Plenty of parking out front with a wheelchair friendly ramp to the door. Will come back soon

We are local and have been coming here for years! It’s about time we actually leave a review! Coming here for the last 10 years we have never had a bad experience, great service, lovely food. And he really have to be rolled out of the front door! We took two of our friends here who have just moved to hersden and they loved it! If you want casual Asian dining with lovely service this is the place! Their starters are delicious and lovely sizzling dishes to follow! Applauding Wilson and team for the upmost amazing service and food that challenges Londons china town.

OK, have lived in westbere/sturry for many years, we have used chopsticks on a few occasions, never rated it then, have just been for a family arranged meal, not my choice! So as a vegetarian I don't expect my mushroom skewers to turn up end to end with chicken skewers! Disgusting, and when they did bring more, well it was like mushrooms with curry coloured maple syrup! Then we move onto the main, vegetable chow mein, with vegetable curry, absolutely jank, worst chinese food ever, and the meat eaters complained about the poor duck being so so dry! I wouldn't advise on going here, i wont be back or would i tell anybody to go here plenty of other top notch eaterys around canterbury to go to, as chopsticks needs a revision with the upmost urgency, or just close it down and open a nail bar or something! Please note #1 I was not the bill payer! Also note #2 the prawn crackers were not too bad!!

Fixed price menu with good choice. A bit too much air conditioning!

Firstly, on a positive note, the staff are welcoming, the table was set up perfectly, Some of the dishes were great. Especially the main courses, in fact, pretty much ALL of the main courses were great! I generally judge a Chinese take away or restaurant on how they cook their deep fried shredded beef. The deep fried shredded beef was excellent, crunchy... and delicious! All other main dishes were perfect. However, that is not the case for the starters, and there is a gleamingly obvious reason for this... The amount of MSG (Chinese salt) in the starter dishes was absolutely overwhelming. Not only does it make you feel fuller a lot quicker, it also makes you want to drink like a fish (although fish don't actually drink so that's an odd saying really) but you catch my drift. This is also probably the reason for the limited number of dishes per group size! They essentially want you to order the extremely salty starters, with breaks in between giving you just enough time to start to feel fuller and thirsty.. so you order more drinks which are usually fizzy which makes you feel even more full, and then onto the mains, however, by that time, you're feeling pretty stuffed and thirsty due to the copious amount of Chinese salt (MSG). As the salt kicks in you'll feel very awake and hyper, very thirsty and full. You'll feel super awake and thirsty for hours when you get home too! And when the affects of Chinese salt start to wear off, you'll feel hungry again too! Personally, there are plenty of fantastic "eat all you like" style Chinese restaurants around the country that do not apply these type of practices. For the prices paid, the restaurant should not be treating their customers in this manner. I'm sure they understand that the utter disregard for their customers health by administering these kids of practices as well as the fact they know how immoral it is to try to falsify their customers "feeling full" to ensure they leave without eating as much food is completely wrong. They do all of this, knowing what they are doing, with a smile upon their face. Although I know that MSG is used in many Chinese dishes, I wonder if they would put quite as much Chinese salt into other Chinese diners food or their own food...? I think not. They only load food up with MSG so that customers feel fuller after eating less. Thus they save money because you're not eating as much as you normally would. As I said, food is excellent and this restaurant can become a 5 star eat all you like restaurant, but they need to use less salt... I mean waaay less salt. Ps, I'm wringing this review 4:04am, because I'm still awake and thirsty due to the MSG. Hopefully they read this review and change their ways.

Simple menu, nice freshly cooked food when ordered, served at good pace. Pleasent and polite staff. Smoked chicken and salt and pepper chicken wings in starters are a must have.

Super freundliche Bedienungen, sehr leckeres außergewöhnliches Essen (das Lemon Chicken ist phantastisch), alles heiß und frisch serviert. Besonders toll finden wir das allyoucaneat, das aus einer Karte immer nacheinander bestellt wird und in kleinen, frischen Portionen am Tisch serviert wird und man darf erst nachbestellen, wenn das aufm Tisch leergegessen wurde. So stelle ich mir ein nachhaltiges Büfett Konzept vor 👍👍👍

Food always comes out hot and fresh, plenty of choice, and nice atmosphere. Lady staff are nice and very friendly with our baby girl. Drinks are a little bit pricey but overall great place. We have been quite a few times in different size groups and really enjoyed it every time x

The food here is amazing ! Even though we have moved out the area we still get a takeaway from here once in a while. The Salt and pepper chicken wings are phenomenal ! This would be a 5 star review but we did have one bad experience when we decided to eat in and didn’t get served for 45 mins and ended up having to get a takeaway to avoid having to rush our food. We still got charged for the drink we had each which I would of thought you would of given us as a gesture of goodwill. Especially as we are regulars. Very friendly staff especially the manager/owner. The food is always hot,cooked fresh and ready to collect when they say it will be.

Food was better than your typical eat as much as you can, all fresh and didn't mind waiting for our meals, bit too much salt put into some of the starters, but overall we enjoyed it.

Very very impressed. Food was perfect, very fresh and good variety of the usual suspects even during the week. I feel like reviews mentioning the 2-5 dish limit depending on the party size are missing the point that you can re order as many times as you like. The rule is there to stop waste not stopping you ordering what you like. The service was very prompt and staff friendly. Thanks for a lovely meal

Food was great Felt the restaurant was a little unwelcoming and everything felt done for the convince of the staff. Insisting on same cutlery all evening, only allowing a maximum number of dishes to be ordered at any one time. I understand the aim to prevent over ordering but 4 dishes for 3 people isn't over ordering. Sad as the atmosphere and the below pair service would be the reason I wouldn't return.
