If you look on their FB page they announced very suddenly that they were closing in November 2023 so no point in going there! This needs to be updated on here!

Where to start. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and no one seemed to mind our dogs - who admittedly can be a little loud, especially our youngest puppy. Now onto what matters: Food was amazing, we each had the Sunday Carvery, I personally had the beef and it was so tender, it practically melted in your mouth, the portion size was generous and delicious, we were not waiting for very long at all and we were sat near a warming fire that added to the atmosphere and warmth of the place. The owners were very kind, nothing was too much trouble, and honestly I was surprised that such an amazing place was so quiet. Is it worth a visit? In my opinion - 100%, is it worth eating there? 100%. If you are in the area and looking for a place to go, pay a visit.

We popped in for drinks and got envious of someone else's burger....so we had to get some! Tasty home cooked food and very generous portion size. Yes a little dated in some places inside, but that certainly didn't impact our visit! Drinks selection good for us, and prices reasonable.

Eaten there on fish Friday. Meal was lovely. Returned for burger meal. The Facebook page shows large burger, chips in a bowl, 2 onion rings portion of coleslaw, side salad and a burger dressing which looks delicious and a pint for £10.95. What you actually get is a dried up burger with 1 onion ring and chips on what must be the smallest plate they have. When we queried it they replied that the meal we were given was the offer price .the meal they advertise on Facebook was full price. For the rest of our meal they avoided us and didn’t bond to take the plates away. Rather put it on Facebook I messaged the Prussian queen on Facebook but they didn’t reply to me . It is false advertising

Clueless staff. White wine served in champagne flute, pint of ale served half full and had to ask to be topped up. No atmosphere definitely needed some background music. Children toys laying around. Beautiful dartboard with no darts available. Garden full of dog poo on side entrance. Owners child asleep in corner, carpets needed a good Hoover, Crisp packets under table and pool table with no change available behind bar to play. Not the best first impressions

Thought we'd give this a try even though the outside isn't that appealing...needs sprucing up a bit and maybe hide the bins? Inside also needed a good hoover. Although a log burner was roaring away the heat couldn't be felt anywhere other than the table opposite it so the rest of the room was cold (Radiators off) The food though was delicious, piping hot and generously portioned. It was a shame the appearance of the place lacked appeal and is offputting really.

Being local decided to try Sunday Lunch as the photos looked inviting . The entrance was in need of a good sweep, wish seems to show lack of pride in the place. The lounge was was also in need of a good vacuum, the tables were still being wiped down from the previous night. The meat on the carvery was cooked well ,it was a shame the veg was tepid . The front of house for a Sunday or even any time were pleasant but not very smart looking, especially the man behind the carvery stained teeshirt ,would have looked better in a nice apron. They need to up their appearance, first appearances are important.

Well where to begin or how far do I go. Very dated furniture more in keeping for a church hall. Carpets are in need of a good vac let alone a clean. We ordered a pint of John Smiths and a pint of what turned out to be Carling out of a Fosters tap.. The food looked okay when it came. Hunters Chicken for hubby and I had the 6oz beef burger with cheese. The ciabatta roll was stale the burger inside was burned more cremated to be accurate. The onion rings were rancid clearly the cooking oil in the kitchen was in urgent need of changing. The hunters chicken was cold. One of those situations where you just eat what you can and run. Staff looked scruffy and the chef was wearing his own clothes and sat stroking a dog in the bar after cooking our food. Definitely all in all an experience we will not be repeating.

Newly reopened, new to the area, we thought we would give it a try. Renovations are in progress, they are busy improving and clearly making headway. We both ordered fish and chips with mush peas. Wonderful quality, probably the best ever, couldn’t believe how good it all was. Well done, we can’t wait to try other dishes on the menu. Will return soon. Mike and Maggy

Tucked away between the large venue's across from happy days club but if you do spot it well worth a visit, next door to a chippy. Run by working class folk with a friendly attitude and friendly prices. Our favourite is the Sunday carvery with generous portions and to top it all comes with a pudding included in the price. A good extensive menu at affordable prices for families and couples. Large table's, good seating but what make ginghams our favourite is the helpful friendly staff and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
