Encantador personal, siempre son amables y les encanta chatear contigo. La comida es excelente, a menudo visitamos aquí un viernes para nuestro regalo semanal

Mala comida, mal servicio Personal grosero.

Been in here many times but only two times in the last six years as it changed. Used to have nice food and a very good sunday roast at a average price but very good quality. Now its a wetherspoons sort of quality and décor with cheap breakfasts and kids all over the place. This will be nice to some folk but in comparison with six years ago its gone downhill

I would suggest you avoid the Priory between now and its closure. Visited last weekend and thought to myself you might as well close up shop now. Lots of dissatisfied customers such as ourselves less than happy. A variety of menu items were unavailable, the food was lukewarm at best and the ice cream machine was broken. A notice in the foyer advised customers they were closing down early August. I'm not all surprised - the décor is very tired, service is slow, food quality poor and nobody staff wise seemed at all interested in giving good service.

It was nice and quiet, carvery food was ok but nothing exciting and service was one again ok, we was seated promptly and had our baby with us so had to have a bigger table kind of out the way. The carvery server disappeared and was out the back for a bit longer than what you'd expect if they was just collecting more food. Pretty average visit really, nothing to shout about.

The service was awful the food was cold and the potato with musted was 90% musted The staff really did not seem as if they wanted to be there! I took a lady there on a first date and we both agreed never to go there again! Avoid people you will not like it.

After waiting 10 minutes in an attempt to get someone's attention to fill the empty bowls, at the sauce station, by which time my food was probably cold anyway, I called over to a waitress, who'd arrived to take payment at a nearby table, to ask if someone might be able to fill the sauce bowls soon. The waitress pulled a nasty face at me and spat out, "I'll do it when I've finished with this table." She the made a huge show of re-filling the bowls, making it absolutely obvious how annoyed she was that I'd asked her to do this! After going to my seat, she came to our area and continued to pull faces. My mum challenged her on this and she started arguing with her, then me, telling me I was obviously having a very bad day! We were so shocked and appalled by this anti-customer attitude, that we walked out. It had taken so long for me to get back to the table, my parents had eaten half their meals. I went without. Thanks for that Sharon the 'waitress'! Unfortunately, her customer service was so poor, I'm sure she would blame it all on me! 👎🏻

I have been to Toby Carvery 4 times in the las few weeks, always with my 2 toddlers and first off I have to say that the personnel are extremely patient and kind with little kids, even when they don't behave at their best. Loved the food, even if when a certain person serves the food it comes in small portions. Loved the veggies selection, the bottomless drinks and the mouthwatering cakes! Cheescake is absolutely delicious. One advice: don't come in too late, say after 8.30 pm or you might end up getting the meat leftovers. In one occasion I couldn't get one type of meat because it was finished.

Having had poor service here over the years we received an email saying that you can now book a table, having had long waits here in the past , we decided to give them a Easter Sunday try out. Glad we did as the booking went smoothly and the carvery was of a good standard and we were swiftly served. I had the XL option trying all the meats and all were delicious and the veg was plentiful and lots of choice. I enjoyed the mustard gravy and the only low point was the beer that I had was generic and poor (there are plenty of Nottingham breweries that would provide a better alternative) but then you come here for food rather than beer

We have met family here every year for the past 10 years. This year was appalling. Carvery was dreadful. The chef carved the meat so thinly and gave us very little, a new joint of beef and I was given the bitty ends. 2 of us had plain mash and it was sour. The next table also complained. Time for a new venue next year

Can be very busy at times but the carvery is great value for money and very tasty. The drinks are not cheap but the atmosphere and room is very pleasant. Close to Wollaton park and a good place to build up or walk off a hearty meal.

I have been to 3 or 4 different Toby's around the country, it's a good bet for families when away. The Priory serves the most tasteless food! I'm sure nothing get seasoned when it's being cooked. The food is well cooked, just get some flavour in there!!!

The carvery was very busy indeed - on the Sunday we had to wait to be served for quite a long time, not nice as it was very hot. some of the serving staff seemed to be stressed, so not so good on customer service. The food can only be described as average, some of the meat was quite fatty. Tip is on a busy Sunday, to at least reserve yourself a table on arrival, and wait to be called.

After holidaying in Cyprus for 3 weeks I fancied a sunday roast,so on the way home we made a detour to this restaurant. My husband went and got a bottle of wine whilst I got a table. good so far! We both decided to have the beef. We had the various veg.and Yorkshire puds etc. That was as good as it got. I tried to cut the beef and remarked that the knives wanted sharpening.unfortunately it was the beef that was tough. Neither of us could eat it. The veg were cold and the Yorkshire puddings were flat, stodgy and also cold.We complained to the waiter ,eventually we asked to see the manager. The manager didn't want to hear our complaint, but my husband refused to pay for this disgusting meal. We wont ever go in this restaurant again, and since telling other people about it they also remarked on having had a similar bad meal.

We visited this Toby with family to celebrate my Dad's birthday. There were five of us, on a Friday lunchtime. We were seated at a table immediately, and our server was very pleasant. A couple in the party were hoping to have something other than a carvery, but the alternatives on the menu were very restricted, so in the end we all had the carvery. There were four meats on offer, turkey, gammon, beef and pork, but the amount carved per person was quite poor. The meat was sliced VERY thinly! All of the offered vegetables were well cooked, although a couple of them were not really hot, just warm. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit too well done for my taste, but the gravy was excellent. In summary, a good but not outstanding meal, and reasonable value on a weekday lunchtime.

Called in for Sunday lunch - you can't book a table on Sundays for some reason and they had a 20 minute wait for a table in the restaurant but we chose to sit in the bar area immediately and pay for food and drinks at the bar. It is good standard carvery food, nothing exceptional but reasonable stuff for a hearty Sunday lunch.

absolute rubbish is all I can say about this place, the amount of meat you got was disgusting and when my partner said to me about the amount of meat you got, the rude man carving it said, don,t mumble under your breath just ask for more, well we should not have to ask for more, the portions were appalling, would never go again and not recommend this place

The Toby inn is well known for its Sunday roasts which are excellent value for money. We wanted something a bit lighter do went for the Pate followed by the house Salad. The pate was lovely but the portion was enormous!! One portion would have been enough for all three of us. The house salad again simple but huge. I went for a selection of meets from the carvery. I have had the salad before from the Priory and there was just a small selection this time huge. So much i couldn't finish all the meat. Great value simple food. Friendly staff and some fantastic offers when you sign up for Email.. Free deserts...

We as a family have visited quite a few times now . It's a busy place and can be a bit manic at times, you need to go large to get a reasonable portion of meat, vegetables fresh, but potatoes can vary in quality.

Visited the carvery at lunchtime on Derby Road Nottingham. I've been before and it's reasonable which is the best I can say about it. The last two times however, have been poor. An obvious lack of serving staff means the chef serving the carvery has to 'nip' out back to get various things like veg, potatoes etc. when they run low. This happened on both occasions meaning the queue just got bigger. We were informed by the waitress that they were waiting for the turkey which wouldn't be ready for another hour (It's a carvery for goodness sake....how could they forget to cook the turkey!)The meal was sadly lacking. Beef was bitty, fatty and scraggy but as I don't like pork or gammon, that was the only choice. Veg OK, potatoes OK. Nice waitress. At the end, we did intend to bring these issues to their attention but there were no managerial staff to be found. There seems a serious staff problem as I have been to other Toby places and had a satisfactory meal there without these problems. I can't put it down to a bad day at the office as it's happened on two occasions and there were many weeks between the two visits. It's a cheap and cheerful sort of restaurant but this shouldn't mean such poor service.

Toby Inns provide a clean and comfortable restaurant with seating arranged to accommodate couples and larger family groups. There is a menu to order from if you wish, but their carvery is always available and the prices are very reasonable at just under £10 a head (not including drinks). The food is hot and tasty and if you opt for the carvery you can help yourself to as much potatoes and veg as you like, for a slightly extra price you can go king size and have a bigger plate with extra meat. July 2014, 5 members of my family dined at The Priory, I had the king size, and we all had 1 drink, everybody enjoyed it and the bill averaged to just over £10 a head including the drink, so would have been slightly lower without drinks.

Came here with my family. The food overall was good, has soup for starter and burger for main. But they didn't bring out me and my brother's mains and side salads and we only got our side of chips. They forgot a lot of my family's orders aswell. The staff were very apologetic about the situation and gave us free drinks.
