Came to the Prince yesterday and had a wonderful experience . Especially from Brandon he is superb at his job and an honour for Prince William to have. Thanks a lot guys

Just visited for my first time since moving to castleford, Chloe served us & she was amazing throughout my whole time there. Such a friendly establishment and staff. Food was brilliant too. Highly recommend

Visited this place on Friday, and loved every minute. We were served and seated by a very polite and friendly young chap called Brandon ( who is a credit to your establishment) We will definitely be visiting again.

Just been to the Prince William and been served by a delightful young lady called Grace, who was very polite and professional and also smiled all the time while I was been served. She also had a lovely personally and was very attentive as she went about her work,she is a credit to your business…… I hope next time she is working and I get served by her….

Disappointing outing here (and our first time, so it has coloured it for future visits). My wife got the Carbonara Pizza, and it was amazing, which just really highlighted how poor my food was. I had The Dirty Philly Burger, and the beef patties found in it were actually disgusting. Really, really cheap tasting, and to the quality of a really bad carboot burger from a trailer. The presentation of the food and staff were great, and I doubt the cooks could have done more...they've just been saddled with cheap ingredients. If it's a way to keep costs down, in this economy, I do get it...but I think most people would rather spend an extra quid or two to get something actually nice. I rarely complain and even if the food is so so I'll still eat it and just not come back. I couldn't eat this beef patty. It tasted cheap, the smell made me feel uneasy, and it had a nasty aftertaste.

First time here for me and the pizza I had was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was calm and not too loud. The staff were friendly. I had the carbonara pizza and hubby had the carvery and my pizza was amazing and his dinner looked good also!! Didn't get any photos unfortunately!

Staff always friendly 😊 being on 2 occasions now _& we wanted to ordered fish and chips and no fish available. Told this after I ordered so went for chicken burger, but again not available. Will call ahead if I ever go again to see what food items are available.

We visited the prince william this afternoon and had a nice relaxed drink. Although it was quite quiet all staff members, including caitlan went out of their way to speak to us, that made our visit relaxing and enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Update: Had a private function here recently and couldn't recommend it more.. no stress, great food and lovely staff.. thanks for everything! Fantastic management who care... Deserves to be busier. Not exactly fine dining but excellent value for money and a step above other local establishments. Stuffed crust pizza is banging.

Friendly staff especially Cheryl, she was very helpful,my food was lukewarm,Cheryl went above and beyond to rectify this, I asked if it could be just zapped in the microwave, but Cheryl said she wasn't allowed to do this,so she got chef to bring hot vegetables out,roast beef was amazing, burger was very lovely, thank you Cheryl for making our visit a pleasant one. We also came for breakfast and it was very nice, hope to visit again,next time we are visiting family, Mel and Dave,bridlington

The pizzas are fantastic, the music is a perfect volume, and the staff have been amazing every time we’ve come in, especially Cheryl who recognised our baby boy after meeting him only once previously, then taking the time out of her busy shift to come and say hello and make a fuss of him.

The food here is lovely, we sort of found this place by accident and so glad we did! Cheryl is an absolute credit to this place, she’s so friendly and approachable and remembered us when we returned. She is lovely and worth the visit for her alone!

Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal at the Prince today. I was sat with my children Dylan Adam and Mason with my husband Ryan and the pub was really really busy but I think the staff handled it really well. Adam, same name as my son, was here there and everywhere but he really stood out to us, he was funny, polite and working really hard. The carvery we had was fantastic and the kids enjoyed theirs with empty plates. I really felt spoilt today. Thank you so much all at Prince William especially Adam

The tables are all squashed together for a start. Some starters got brought out after we even had our mains and the sauces they brought were empty. The tater tots were burnt and the lettuce was brown and there was barely and lettuce anyway. The bacon on the burgers were black and there was barely any filling in the carvery calzone which was basically just bread. The chips and pizza was fresh but it tasted fine… The glasses were really dirty and workers behind the bar were chewing gum and taking it out their mouth and putting it back in or putting it in the bin and not washing their hands after doing it. The staff were really rude and the assistant manager was really rude and didn’t care. They offered us free drinks but what is that supposed to do? We raised the complaint and they just said “I don’t no what to say” or shrugged their shoulders. Adam Gillett was the assistant manager and was really really rude 😔

The bacon was burnt and the calazone was almost empty with no fillings , while the yourshire puddings were harder than a rock and the tater tots were burnt and the staff were rude , chewing gum behind the bar and the assistant manager did not care .

This was our first visit to Prince William and as a family we really enjoyed it. Friendly greeting on entry from Cheryl who served our drinks. It was lovely and quiet on the day we went so plenty of tables to choose from. The food was good, we all had a carvery, our only criticism would be why the small carvery finishes at 5pm ? There was a young man named Tom who was checking in with us during our visit even getting some soft scoop ice cream for our grandson as the machine wasn't ready, and cleaning up for us after a spilt drink. We would highly recommend and will be visiting again as a family.

This is a lovely place. I was served by Cheryl who I cannot praise highly enough. She was very pleasant, friendly and polite and made my visit very enjoyable. I didn't have any food but because of Cheryl I will be returning for a longer visit and some food.

Absolutely shocking service. Ordered online waited nearly a hour, on the tracking you can see the driver is in the car park waiting to collect but yet the order gets cancelled, already took payment, no apology no nothing.

Service has gone down since new management arrivedd at 4.30pm Ordered food pizza and scampi. Waited ages but saw the pizza on the deck. Asked to check on food. Got told food was just going in. The pizza went back into the oven. When asked the assistant manager for money back as it was getting on in time. He mentioned pizza was going in to keep warm. But it had been out 20 mins plus. No apology . Used to be in all the time. Since 2005 when it was the trading post. This place gets good staff. But can't keep them. Wonder why... one member off staff who wasn't on shift keeps that place going..

We come for drinks every Friday after work and Cheryl makes our day every time. She is the most attentive staff member of anywhere I've been in a long time. She remembers us, remembers where we sit and our drink orders! She's a diamond and an asset to the business. She makes our week!

Came for breakfast today instead of carvery as we normally would. Great food, nice and hot, good selection. Cheryl kept making our little boy laugh and let him meet her little doggy friend which made his day. Lovely atmosphere, don't come often enough tbh, will be back!

We only live 5mins away and when this first opened, I have to be honest, seriously disappointed on opening day. Pizza bases weren't fully cooked, to much flour on the bottom of the base. Took us a few months we decided to give it another go, giving it a second chance incase it was simply teething issues on opening day. And boy, world's apart. Service was good, I had the goats cheese pizza and the other half had the burger. Both were cooked well enough, burger... Maybe slightly overdone if I had to be critical. Be sure to use the app to get some discounts, as I feel the grub is priced a little high for what it was tbh. Step in the right direction. 2025 update - shout out to Cheryl for the great customer service during today's lunch
