Having read reviews decided to book on last evening of holiday. Had 2 fillet steaks and bottle of wine on a special Thursday menu. It was amazing, cooked perfectly and with a warm welcome from all the staff. Dog friendly with a small treat for our dog too! If only we lived closer

There was a lot of us as we were camping near by, we did pre order our food before coming, the staff here was amazing and very accommodating and were a pleasure with all our 9 children, will defiantly eat here again

We book a table for a Birthday meal and the lovely staff put a card and birthday banner on the table very nice .The food was very nice and my brother and husband said it was the best mixed grill they have tasted! The pub is lovely and garden too .

Really excellent lunch! Beautifully cooked beer battered cod with superb "proper" chips and mushy peas, followed for some delicious ice cream. Great service with a smile, beautiful interior, can't fault the place. Highly recommended.

Food is lovely, the garden is nice in the summer but unfortunately the music is too loud, it makes it incredibly difficult to hear people.

A lovely little gem found whilst holidaying in Kent. Service was fantastic, lovely staff! A great menu with a variety on offer. We came in at lunchtime and without realising until we paid had ordered our meals which were part of a deal - even better!! Food was well presented, hot and tasted great. We left extremely satisfied and would recommend to others.

Oh such a beautiful place! A group of our friends went for dinner to celebrate the end of the school year. We had such an amazing time with lovely food, fabulous service and great selection of drinks. 2 of my group had fish of the day and they enjoyed every bite. I went for the stuffed chicken with Dauphinoise potatoes, boy was it delicious. Others in the group had fillet steak, pie of the day and vegan curry. All plates were left empty and sent back with compliments! For afters the staff offered a great choice of desserts and coffees. I went for the Sundae special and shared it with my friend and others had a crumble and homemade cheesecake with baileys (definitely recommended). We will definitely be back not just for the amazing food but the lovely atmosphere & attentive staff (a shout out to Abi & Katy) for looking after us.

We visited the pub as a group from nethergong campsite. The food was delicious and great quality with amazing service. Lovely to sit outside and will definitely return next year

Lovely setting. Being decorated outside but still open. Lovely food. Doritos and dip to start with. My friend had quiche and salad followed by apple and blackberry crumble. I had stuffed chicken breast with dauphinois potatoes, watercress, mushrooms and green beans with gypsy tart and cream. I had a glass of wine and she had a soft drink. I finished with a coffee. My bill was £35 and hers was £25. Very friendly, great service. Recommended.

Love this place ,just had liver and bacon (just like my mums ).and gypsy tart wonderful. Best place to eat all home made go there and enjoy. X

My family of 6 visited the Prince of Wales for lunch, to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and we're glad we did, as it is an amazing pub! The service was exceptional! The staff made us feel so welcome and were extremely kind and professional. And the food was fantastic! Not only was it delicious, but the portions were very generous - great value! I had the prawn tempura starter (yum) and the cod special (with beurre blanc and hasselback potatoes), which was the star of the show. The rest of my family was equally impressed with their stuffed chicken breasts and baked camembert. I can't recommend this pub enough. Thank you so much.

Lovely pub but not much parking

Have been to the Prince of Wales many times & have never ever been disappointed. The Service, Food & Atmosphere is Excellent. The Landlady & All Staff are Lovely & Friendly & Welcoming & Always Leave there Extremely Full & Happy. 😊 They often have live music on & have seen a Soul Singer who was really good & sang a request to Me & have just been for Sunday Lunch with My 2 Sons & They really enjoyed it too. 😍 5 🌟 All The Way. Had an amazing Saturday afternoon there, food lovely and very fresh, staff brilliant and Landlady Julie was excellent, I have been a landlady in past and she was really accommodating, especially with my dad who is disabled, made us feel at home, we will defiantly be going back.

Cute little pub with a great lunchtime off, £12 for a drink and a sandwich (doorstop sandwich with chips on the side) or nachos and a drink. Some standard alcohol & mixers were included in that including G&T. Food was decent. Would recommend.

Arrived for a drink and was immediately greeted by the manager. We were sat down with a menu. We weren't hungry but opted for a Camembert sharing board and mussels to share. Food was amazing. Then had a desert which was just as good. The decor makes the pub a nice place to be and the prices are fair. Will be returning monthly.

After an excellent first visit a few weeks earlier for Sunday lunch we decided to give it another try. Unfortunately on arrival, for our 3pm booking, the place was packed and tables were very close together. Half of the roast meat options had already ran out and service wasn't great. We will try it again but we hope that they won't try to seat too many people at once as it comprised the quality of food and service.

The restaurant had been busy with a lot of `Walk In' business and it delayed the speed of service a little. The staff were brilliant, friendly and patient, given the pressure they were under. The food service was amazingly smooth and efficient, and the quality of the food was evident from the smiles on all faces. A busy, and friendly pub that caters well.

Came here for a little impromptu birthday lunch. Was so lovely. Really friendly staff. Enjoyed their new menu out today, created by the head chef ‘Scott’. Lush starters, followed by a delicious burger, cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Will definitely be back! See you soon.

After a stressful day I fancied a Sunday lunch, the Prince of Wales was recommended to me. It did not disappoint! The food was excellent especially the Yorkshire puddings. I would like go back, next time with my husband. Everyone was so friendly, thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Fabulous Sunday roast. We booked in for 3pm due to work commitments and it was very busy but the staff were very attentive and the food was wonderful, we will be back thank you for a lovely meal

Visited today at lunchtime having stopped off two weeks ago looking for somewhere suitable to bring an elderly disabled relative. We all had a main course, all of which were so well cooked and very tasty. Our elderly relative chose the roasted seabass. Now she is a real "foodie" and a good cook. She couldn't praise her food enough, saying how delicious it was and had never tasted seabass so good! Compliments to the chef! I had the pork tenderloin and husband has the fillet steak, both of which were very good. We all had desserts, again excellent and good portion size. Special thanks for the attention and care given to the oldest member of the party by front of house ensuring that with her mobility issues she did not feel isolated or unsafe. You are all doing a great job!

The team at the Prince of Wales kindly organised our father’s wake. We had private use of the pub for the afternoon, a memory table set up for us and everyone commented on how lovely and plentiful the food was. The team were all very helpful and respectful. Thank you for making it so easy for us.

Very good inexpensive sandwich with skinny fries and salad served by extremely smiley and chatty waitress oh and a drink included in the price. Absolutely delicious and worth every penny. This is a lovely old pub serving excellent pub food at great prices with outstanding staff.

Went for early evening dinner on Burns night. (Also Thursday Steak night) Food was exceptional as always. I feel the chef actually cares about what leaves the kitchen and it really shows. Haggis, neeps and tatties and cranachan best I've ever had. Partner had fillet steak and was thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely service, friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble.

We've been meaning to try the Sunday lunch here for a while and it was tremendous! Staff are fab, service excellent and superb freshly cooked food. There are some pubs in the area who charge more but don't come anywhere near this special. Well done POW! We will be back Viv (not Bev or Dev lol) x

The bar staff are friendly as soon as you enter the pub. There is a wide choice of food, which made it hard to choose what to have. Food was hot & really nice, we were a party of four & all plates were cleared on all courses. Highly recommended this pub.

Tonight we went for our Christmas & New Year celebration as not being able to catch up before, for a January it was very busy but that did not stop the staff being very friendly & tentative. We had the baked cambert to share, bread rolls & olive oils & cheese & bacon potato, all 3 plates were clean so beautifully served. For main course we had Fillet Steak, Fish & Chips & 2 minced beef pies all was piping hot & beautifully served, nice choice of vegetables with the pies, then we just had one dessert as the other 3 people were full from beautiful food, so it was just myself that had a beautiful apple & berry crumble with ice cream we will certainly be back, as it’s such a beautiful gem with a lovely family who run it ;)

I can really recommend The Prince of Wales in Hoath for amazing food and a warm atmosphere. The chicken supreme was amazing and the gypsy tart is definitely worth trying. Good lighting and comforting decor really adds to the experience. Reasonable prices and great service too.

Having not visited for many years, we parked on the street having forgotten there was a car park to the rear! Upon arrival (Sunday lunch AND also Xmas eve), we were immediately seated to our reserved table by a friendly young man. He took our drinks order, which appeared only minutes later. This was a pleasant surprise as they were catering to several large parties at the time. We didn't have to wait very long for our server to appear with the day's menu. We were given enough time to make our choice and the server reappeared and efficiently and succinctly took our orders. The food arrived piping hot and beautifully cooked. On the day I wasn't keen on the cheese sauce, although in their defence and unbeknownst to me, I was coming down with a chest infection which may have had a lot to do with that! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the desserts..... but will definitely try on our next visit. Yes, we will definitely be returning!

Great pub as were the staff and landlady. Very accommodating to three muddy cyclists. Lovely log fire and food. Also welcomed walkers and dogs.👍

My friend and I come here occasionally and we ate recently on a Friday lunchtime. It was a bit of a special lunch so we had the steaks. A bit more pricey than other selections on the menu but well worth it. The food was superb with both steaks cooked perfectly, the service was polite and friendly and the restaurant was very welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough. I travel about 30 miles to meet my friend for lunch here so please give it a go.

Pretty terrible experience! Was told shortly after arrival that they ran out of 2/3s of the menu on a 2.45pm booking which is just bad management, was only left with a choice of chicken or nut roast Food was bland and lacked variety, peas and carrot is not what I class as seasonal vegetables, then have the cheek to charge extra for cauliflower cheese and extra gravy Have had better roasts in elderly care homes. Really disappointed as location and atmosphere felt good, shame about food and management

Have visited twice now and the food has been excellent both times, The pub serves proper pub food, large portions at an excellent price, Events are hosted there too, like singers and Musicians which gives a great atmosphere

We just had a fabulous and delicious Christmas Eve roast! Our Autistic son initially really struggled as it was new to him but the staff were non-judgemental, kind and accommodating. We couldn’t recommend this lovely pub enough, what an absolute gem! Thank you!

Had a pre Christmas catch up with friends, this was our second time eating here and just as good as the first which we thoroughly enjoyed. It felt very Christmassy with all the lights! The car park was full on arrival so we parked on the road at the side of the pub. The service was excellent and efficient. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend to others and will return in the New Year.

Had looked on the website to go for Sunday lunch as heard wonderful things about it. The website is unhelpful and inaccurate as didn't state that today (a Sunday) the pub shut at 4:30. We arrived at 4:45 so couldn't eat there. I wouldn't mind but the website, Google and TripAdvisor all said the pub shuts at 6. Really disappointed given that we drove 15 minutes out of our way to go here.

Tried the Prince of wales for the first time under the new management and wasn't disappointed. Great meal and great service, short ribs on the specials board where excellent. Desert of white chocolate cheesecake was also spot on, and my young children were well accommodated....

Such a fantastic restaurant - I was met with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. A wide range of drinks and a special note for the food. Absolutely exceptional and all cooked from hand using local produce. Will definitely return.

Really nice country pub serving great food. Stopped in on my way through the area for dinner. Had the pork with a side of garlic chiabatta and lemon cheesecake, nice sizeable portions, pork was amazingly cooked and flavourful with roast vegetables and sweet potato mash drizzled with sauce. The garlic bread was crispy with a soft centre just the right amount of oil stuffed with cheese. The cheesecake was so so good, soft base and fluffy top, wanted to order seconds of everything! Bar maid/FOH was really nice and cheery, which is a rarity these days, music on in the back ground and a lovely atmosphere. Will certainly come here again if I'm in the area

The Prince of Wales is a little gem. There is a lovely garden for Al fresco eating. As soon as you walk in the door you feel a friendly ambience being greeted immediately by a member of staff.The inside is decorated beautifully. The meals were absolutely delicious, there was seven of us and we all enjoyed every dish we ate. All the staff were attentive and friendly. We had an excellent evening here. Thank you. 😊

Very pleasant and friendly place .

Waited three quarters of an hour for the meal,from order time, but more importantly three meals ,all different, where not hot, the carrots were large cut along their length, and barely warm, and as far as my small square of slow roasted pork belly seemed to have been pre-cooked in a bain marie, and subsequently microwaved to bring back to temperature, it had not seen an oven. Very disappointed.

today sunday lunch, not good, served just warm and roast potatoes underdone and no sign of them being roasted. would not go there again for sunday roast.
